Best Catering Online Ordering System

Commentaires : They are always looking for ways to improve and keep up with the changes in technology and they allow the customers to provide suggestions and feedback.

Avantages :

Before CaterTrax, we were spending hours inputting our catering orders into excel. I used CaterTrax at a previous job presented the benefits of using this program to my boss. He was on board, but our corporate office wanted us to use Caterease. I put together another presentation comparing the two programs and and after a long discussion, we were able to get CaterTrax. I saw the light at the end of the tunnel! This was the best thing we brought to our department and clients.

Wonderful Software

Commentaires : Clients can place there own orders. The system is very user friendly.

Avantages :

Ability to duplicate previous orders. Clients can store payment information and event details that make completing orders easy.

Inconvénients :

Once orders are archived that cannot be unlocked. If invoices have been processed for billing and is locked.

clunky program

Commentaires : this program was choses by accounting as is interfaced with existing billing software, it is clunck and difficutl for both staff and customers alike

Avantages :

the tracking feature is the best feature of this program

Inconvénients :

you cannont move up items without retyping order , frequently forgets prints when mass printing, the cloud is as slow as using dial up , the spell check misses food terms, the functionality is not intuitive and slow going

Healthcare Floor Stock and Functions!

Avantages :

I work in Healthcare and love the floor stock section, as well as the Catering (ease of ordering) portion

Inconvénients :

The floor stock portion seems to be a little redundant to get to the end of one order

New user relief

Commentaires : Catertrax has been a nice surprise for tracking and managing my catering activity. All my information is in one place and the reporting functionality is something I did not have before. Now with customer inquiries, the answer is usually a click away!

Avantages :

I was reluctant to start using Catertrax because "my way" had been working fine. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved to see how much the sight could do for me. I find having history on my customer orders to be a major plus. It's a one stop site for all my catering info.

Inconvénients :

In a shared, multi-unit usage situation there is some confusion moving from site to site and getting the site to follow along.

Lots of features, yet lots of bugs

Commentaires : Overall CaterTrax has been a useful tool but it could use some refining. Some of the issues can easily be fixed from the admin portal while others must be handled by the support team which delays the sales process and ultimately reduces the satisfaction of my clients.

Avantages :

CaterTrax has lots of backend functionality. Admins can add, edit and remove menu items and features practically endlessly.

Inconvénients :

When transitioning from the original interface to the new “skin”, a lot of data when missing and caused multiple issues for my users when ordering. Many support tickets needed submitting.

Catertrax Keeps us Organized!

Commentaires : Catertrax is crucial to our professionalism! Having the ability to duplicate previous orders and revise as needed is wonderful!

Avantages :

On a college campus we have simple coffee set ups to banquets for 500 plus! Catertrax helps us communicate from the back of the house to the banquet servers. The kitchen sheets lay out the customers expectations.

Inconvénients :

If I could change something it would be the ability to adjust our pricing on our own, instead of submitting a request, but the customer service is always efficient.

Catertrax Every Day!

Commentaires : I have used Catertrax for years and really enjoy working with the program. Its user friendly and easy to walk guests and new users through placing an order.

Avantages :

I really like the ability to go to the menu edit tool and make adjustments as needed.

Inconvénients :

I was once able to go in and write and publish my own menus and I am no longer able to do that. Now all I can do is edit the material that is there.

Love this program

Avantages :

I am a techno nothing this program is easy to use. The customer service response to requests is quick and efficient. The customer service reps are very friendly and always helpful.

Inconvénients :

The new shopping cart. I really dislike this add on. I like to see the runnig order without having to click on the cart.

Easy to use Catering software

Commentaires : I use this product daily o keep track of catering orders and room reservation orders

Avantages :

I like that users can put their own orders in for themselves. I just need to confirm or deny and modify things if needed.

Inconvénients :

From an administarive point of view, I have not had many problems. The only thing I could think of is a way to search for a catering order by the name of the order instead of just being able to do it with the catering number or customer name. Sometimes when people want an order repeated it is easier to duplicate the order, but with roles contanlty changing, it is hard to look up an order without knowing who put it in last or when it was put in. With at least 20 orders in per day, it is time consuming to look for said orders.

Commentaires : Customer service is great, and very quick. The record keeping of this program is what makes this campus function. The invoicing with this program is on point, and makes for a clean professional invoice to send my clients. Overall - without this program, there would be zero to no organization in our three million dollars of catering we do a year.

Avantages :

This software makes my job a lot easier. I have students and clients who constantly are asking to duplicate orders, repeat what we did last year (or years past). This is the perfect system for record keeping.

Inconvénients :

I wish that there was a way to make the Credit Card connection easier for us. Currently we cannot take credit cards via cater trax.

Makes My Life Easy

Commentaires : With Catertrax orders are never missed. It's always obvious when someone wants to make a change to their order. I can very quickly look at the day, and have confidence that I'm prepared and have all of the information I need.

Avantages :

Catertrax has streamlined all of the orders received for my 5,000 employee two building account. It's simple for the customers to use, and helps me as a Catering Director to see the orders coming in so I can wow my clients every day.

Inconvénients :

I would appreciate if payment information didn't have to be entered if a customer is ordering from a different building. For example: I have a North Plaza customer who has previously ordered from the South Plaza. They now have to enter their Credit Card info again, because they're ordering for a different Plaza.

Long Time User

Commentaires : Catertrax has streamlined several programs in my locations where I have implemented the program. Ordering Floor stocks for the nursing units has really saved time and money for the companies. It help reduce waste and over stocking, there are printed records of what was ordered, who received and the units can now keep within their budgets.
The catering aspect has also made ordering simpler. Guests know the costs and are not surprised when they get their bills as they know when they order the costs with detailed accounts of costs.

Avantages :

The pros of the software are you can set up the program how it best fits your companies needs. The staff will talk you through the program and they ask question you may not have thought of to make sure you are getting the best program fro your customers needs.

Inconvénients :

The biggest con from my experience is it's never easy to get everyone on board with the new program of ordering. There are those that think they understand its use but really do not. So getting everyone to training is key to the ease and success.

Catertrax is an amazing software program for anyone that offers a catering program

Avantages :

The catertrax system is very user friendly. We have a lot of intern students that join us throughout the year and I always have them put in test orders on the system to see how good and easy it is to use. I also ask that if they have any complaints or constructive comments to let me know. They are always very impressed with the site.

Inconvénients :

Just wish I could have easier access to the list of approvers and able to print myself. Presently I have to contact a catertrax support person who gives me the list

Catertrax for SOU Catering

Commentaires : Catertrax has really streamlined the booking process for catering. The user interface for customers and admins is really intuitive. When I do have issues with the software, the customer service is top notch and diligently works on my requests. Overall, Catertrax makes my job easier and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such excellent software.

Avantages :

The software is incredibly user friendly. When I train new employees, the Trax Training feature really helps speed up the process. I like how I can customize most menu items with ease. The software really has all the bells and whistles I need without being overly crowded.

Inconvénients :

Not much. Sometimes there's a lag in the menu loading or when ordering.

I like catertrax because, it is so self explanatory, that you can't mess it up. There are several people in several different departments that order food for caterings and it is very easy for them to choose their food options, date, time. And it makes me aware of all the changes. It makes my job very easy

There isn't really anything that is a Con. I truly like everything about this software

Commentaires : AWESOME overall experience with Catertrax as far as keeping our customers happy, they love the fact that they can always look at their past orders.

Avantages :

I love this software! It makes my job so much easier, it's very user friendly for our customers & it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I dislike about the software is having to log in every single time. At one time we used to be able to save our login information.

Commentaires : CaterTrax is a great option for companies to manage their catering needs. Once set up, the site is user friendly and pretty straight forward to navigate. Pictures and descriptions can be added / edited. The customer support team is very helpful if issues arise.

Forced into changing!

Commentaires : CateTrax is easier for us to use as well as my customers. They are able to set up their own accounts. And that saves us and them valuable time.

Avantages :

As a company we changed to CaterTrax, I was upset at first because I was used to the system we were currently using. However CaterTrax is a much easier system. And they have always been there to help us change what is needed. I don't have to waste any time remembering how to adjust something on my old system

Inconvénients :

There is nothing that I like least about this software

Pros and Cons

Avantages :

The ease of entering an order for supplies or catering. Being able to only provide those items that meet the needs of the particular units.

Inconvénients :

In the case of entering floor stock and department stock on the same invoice it will put the amount on both reports. This causes problems when trying to balance out the month. Then it takes time to research the invoice that has the dual combination. Then new tickets have to be created to divide out the items so the month will balance. If there was a way for the reports to only pull items for floor stock and only items for department stock that would make balancing the end of the month much easier.

Avantages :

User Friendly on all fronts. They are able to create multiple reports for billing and specific custom items for clients. The support team is very helpful and the setup of many different sites went smoothly and was done right on time.

Inconvénients :

Then can do any reports but they all come at a price.

Commentaires : Organizes all components of room reservations and catering in same place. Totalizes by cost center etc in reports amounts for the month.

Avantages :

User friendly and puts all components in one place - room reservations, catering and floor stock Was able to customize to our needs for many things - adding cooler temperatures for our areas that we stock was one.

Inconvénients :

sometimes when using on the ipad it locks up for our tray passers who enter floor stock. Wish could easily make changes on own to back end.

Commentaires : Easy to use, they train you on all aspects of the software and getting customers to use it is a no brainer.

Avantages :

A one stop shop! Gives us so many options that it is hard to choose which ones to use. It is so easy to teach our customers how to use it and once they start using it the feedback from customers is GREAT! They love the feature that they can go back and look at past orders. Our clients like that they can get quick and detailed reports every month.
