Cadsoft Envisioneer

Commentaires : Definitely worth a look at. As a direct competitor of Revit, it certainly would capture the design/builder or architect not wishing to outlay the same money as Revit.

Avantages :

Simple design allows you to draw as you would construct a building. The detail that you put into a model pays well at the drafting stages. Changes that need to be made are reflected in the worksheet view (drafting), and are usually simple to implement. Keyboard shortcuts input similar to autocad make for speed use. There is a good rendering engine in the program, as well as a deadly accurate cost and quantity estimator, suitable for both metric and imperial.

Inconvénients :

Drafting is a little slower than it could be. Commands are not as efficient as autocad. Some modelling shortcomings are more than made up for by importing Sketchup models directly into the program. Examples may be skirting, or cornice mouldings.

Used from version 2.0 to Version 8.2

Avantages :

Inconvénients :

Customer Service is horrible if you are having a problem, Non Existent Really. They stall on you and then have you buy the next version. Eventually the old adage ... Overall Don't waste your money ... Go for Revit LT or Archicad and keep up with the industry
