Flexible tool to facilitate mobile teams
We use the software in warehouse operations in order to digitize data and facilitate structured communication among colleagues and collaborators.
With Tekmon, we changed the hardware we use. Now, we use mobile devices, whereas before, we had desktop computers that weren't portable and that was quite limiting. For many inspections, we needed archiving and hard copies. We have now phased out hard copies, as everything is online and accessible to those who need it. There were multiple benefits to this: we saved space - we no longer have cabinets filled with paper, and we no longer print paper, so it's environmentally friendly.
On top of that, the user now only needs their mobile device, while the desktop serves as the back office for administrators who work on defining the information they want to receive and organizing that information. This is the flexibility of the platform, as it frees users from being bound in the office, allowing them to be mobile within the warehouse.
The transition was not difficult because everyone was naturally familiar with mobile devices. We simply added another application. The transition was smooth because we started with core needs, and the user himself requested the addition of others. The user continued to use it for their own needs, subgroups were created, each shift had its own forms, and the entire management was not involved. This is to cater to highly specialized needs that don't apply to everyone else in the department.
In this project, the process and the result were seamless without compromising flexibility. I never felt that our transition to Tekmon’s software was limiting me in any way. All this is thanks to the team’s understanding of our needs and their precious guidance on how to solve various issues. And the team’s support is continuous. It is great to have someone with a personal relationship who can assist you. With [sensitive content hidden] we have a professional relationship, and I get the feeling that I can turn to him for every little issue I face, whether it's significant or not. This is the most crucial aspect for the customer.
I want to point out that the usual issues that I disliked in other applications relating to the fact that they were solving issues while creating new ones are absent with Tekmon. Nothing negative to mention up to date.
Critical Tool for Incident Management in Motorways
Commentaires : Overall I couldn't recommend Tekmon and their solutions enough. Very positive experience, they always worked together with us as a team. The customer service team responds quickly with answers to our queries etc. The solution also has many more capabilities than you initially expect, with Tekmon solution they help you create your own personalised solution to solve your own custom projects. The most beneficial aspect of the solution that we couldn't live without now, is the reliability of the communication messages dashboard, which keeps a track of when messages have been delivered, unable delivered, who have received, opened and responded!
It didn't require a lot of time to implement the solution, a longer introduction period at the beginning to integrate everything and confirm our exact challenges and what Tekmon needed to do with the solution to integrate the two systems. Once integrated it was smooth sailing, and helped considerably to minimise workload. Nobody needs to do any tedious manual work, the system takes data from another system and automatically loads notifications, and the final recipient receives the notification automatically. There is no real input for employees to adapt to the system, or to require masses of training.
I cannot think of a con - the overall experience has been very productive and Tekmon have remained professional and extremely helpful throughout.
Our experience with Tekmon
The Group I work for is in the retail food services sector and owns more than 10 different brands in Greece. We started our collaboration with Tekmon in pilot mode, in order to digitise our operations in one of the chain food stores of the company. We use it for the digitalization of tasks and workflows. For example, now regional managers can do inspections in the stores using the app on their smartphones. What used to be paper checklists and spreadsheets now exist in digital form in the app. Previously, we had great difficulty in managing all the inspection files, each regional manager had to send them to the headquarters, where someone would log the data into the system; which resulted in copy-paste mistakes and a lot of unnecessary work. We are seeing that inspections are now completed much faster and mistakes are eliminated.
Following the pilot phase, we are planning to use Tekmon for even more functions, such as communication between the headquarters and the food stores, delegating tasks, having visibility on their completion etc. This will essentially help us in better project management.
What I like the most is that I can have easy reporting through Power BI embedded in the platform. We have also achieved a very helpful integration with Medallia and plan on more integrations for better interconnectivity. If you ask me a year from now, I am positive that the picture will be totally different, as we will roll out the solution in all the brands we manage.
Nothing in particular, we had an easy transition and we are now fully adapted to the software. Maybe the design and implementation phase took longer than it could – around six months. It was due to many reasons; on both sides, as we were figuring out the detailed scope of the project and the implementation steps needed to fully incorporate our business requirements into the platform.
Mass Notification Tool for Mall Communications
Commentaires : I cannot imagine working without the Tekmon's Mass Notification Tool. It helps with the ease of communication at crucial times and with crucial information. The feature of the tool, which shows who read the sms, responded and acknowledged it is extremely helpful in order for us to act accordingly asap. The reporting of how we use the tool is a key feature that is very simple to understand and helps us be more efficient and productive with our actions.
We were in need of a solution to help us communicate with clients that already have the card for parking, to inform them about a new service. Before the implementation of Tekmon mass notification tool, we would have had to call each 250 individuals and inform them of the new service update. Alongside this, as we are a mall, we would also communicate with merchants in regards to emergency incidents, evacuations etc and this tool has helped us communicate efficiently and keep track of responses and messages in serious circumstances.
There aren't really any cons to using the tool or with my experience of working with Tekmon. If any difficulties arise, the technicians are readily available to help as soon as possible. Quick to respond, quick to solve the issue and polite throughout the whole process from first day implementation to any other queries after that.
Tekmon Mass Notification
Commentaires : Overall, our key pain points was confirming that staff had received and been notified about changes, incidents or emergencies, which has been resolved with the implementation of Tekmons mass notification solution. Tekmons solution also plays a key factor in enabling us to carry on working during COVID19 with social distancing, ensuring that our sites were as covid secure and regulated whilst still carrying out works. The solution gives management the confidence that all staff are aware of the safety regulations of that site and project, as well as form a register of all staff on site for fire evacuation etc
What we were really happy about with Tekmons solution, is that it is customisation and flexible, tailored so that we didn't need to have to change our processes for the system. It helped make our processes more efficient and easier to use, it was easy to implement into our procedures. Overall, Tekmons solution gave us the confidence we needed that our staff are aware of hazards and risks and brief of relevant actions at any emergency situation, which we have a real time track of. This level of confidence in staff is maintained between each and every site.
The only real challenge was getting the staff (3000+) users or more, updated and used to the electronic format (before it was paper). It was more of a training challenge - but Tekmon came through with test sites and trail sites and guides/training material to understand the application.
