Commentaires : Le rapport qualité/prix comparé à ceux des autres marques offrant des produits de cette qualité fait de Sophos un très bon choix en matière de pare-feu.

Avantages :

La gamme XG des pare-feu Sophos comporte des produits de qualité et aux performances très élevées. La gestion intégrée des Access Points Wifi pour le mesh est un plus intéressant pour les environnements comportement de nombreux AP.

Inconvénients :

Les sites devant permettre la gestion distantes des équipements est actuellement très lent et compliqué à utiliser.

One of the best options for simple security management

Commentaires : It is an easy product to have, excellent integration with other Sophos products' metrics. Overall Sophos include a lot of features that make XG firewalls, especially XGS firewalls, an excellent option for companies from small to mid-size.

Avantages :

Integration with Sophos products ecosystem. Easy to use and configure, Cloud management, SD-WAN, and VPN orchestration. Unlimited VPN options with no additional licenses needed.

Inconvénients :

By far logs and reporting must improve dramatically. The competency is better at this point.

Commentaires : We have had a positive experience with the product from the deployment phase to the point where we can now fully utilize it. The product's major strength is its ease of control and breadth of protection across many tiers, allow us to achieve robust protection at all times.

Avantages :

1. Having user authentication capabilities, including LDAP connectivity and multi-factor authentication, without the requirement for additional licensing, is a plus. 2. The ZTNA feature that was just implemented is fantastic to have without the need to setup any more gateways. 3. SD-WAN routing capabilities allow us properly use the available gateways utilizing multiple Service Level Agreements.

Inconvénients :

1.The firewall should have a third-party threat telemetry feature for ingesting threat data such as SHA values. 2.Reporting should be more granular and configurable. 3.The OEM should provide a specialized on-premise reporting device to meet the needs of air gap network reporting/logging for an extended length of time.

Disappointing

Commentaires : Not good. Used it for a year, before that used Kerio Control, after many problems and failures went back to Kerio.

Avantages :

Support is good, also the warranty. Bought 2 XG 210 appliances for HA, had to replace them on warranty 3 times, it was done without issues. Antivirus and overall filtering is good.

Inconvénients :

Used it on versions 15 and 16, each update broke something, even minor ones. HA in paper sounds good but it was a risk, almost every time we updated it crashed and had to force a restart. Interface is slow and poorly designed. Its almost impossible to get a clear view of what traffic is passing in real time. Overly complex and limited at the same time.

Avantages :

I like the power of the tool, it's granularity and general ease of use

Inconvénients :

Their dashboards are not useful other than to tell you there is an issue but not where or why, you have to know your way around the product to get any meaningful data from it. Their support is terrible, often you get multiple follow up emails from different people who don't, won't read the notes of the last person and in order to kick the ticket along will send you steps you've already tried and shown to not resolve the issue. When you do finally close the issue, you get constant emails asking if they can close the ticket. Their departments do not talk to one another which leads to confusion all round and a ticket that never seems to close and then constant requests for surveys on how they did over and over even if you complete one.
