Best Customer Support I've Encountered

Commentaires : Payroll management is a breeze. We're just starting to use their recruiting and onboarding system and it's fantastic. If you hate doing things manually, Rise's platform will be your new best friend.

Avantages :

In the event that I've had an issue, Rise's customer support has responded to and solved the issue within a day or two at most.

Inconvénients :

Mobile functionality needs some love. It's almost completely unusable from my phone.

Almost a year in, and loving Rise so far

Commentaires : We've had a great experience with Rise, and it has streamlined a lot of our processes, so we can have our onboarding, payroll, schedule, time off all tracked in the same software.

Avantages :

Rise is easy to use, and the payroll processing module works very well. It's easy to modify a pay run without having to do a lot of tedious back-and-forth with Rise, and there are many check points through the process to make sure that all the information entered is correct before approval.

Inconvénients :

We could use a standardized info sheet to give to new employees about how to use the timecards in Rise. We've found a few challenges getting new staff comfortable with the time tracking system.

Commentaires : It has been difficult, conflicting direction, changes and poor onboarding process, too many needs cannot be met. feels like the wrong platform for our custom business but I have to say Rise support staff and managers have gone over and above trying to support us. We acknowledge we have not been the perfect client and have issues as well, perhaps we are too needy for what rise can support

Avantages :

The people and support, try very hard to satisfy but unfortunately there are just too many issues that we need that cannot be accommodated.

Inconvénients :

Platform is fractured , development support is good but actual development is poor, frequent loss of resources

Avantages :

The payroll function is easy to use . And we can easily modify it in the payroll sheet.

Inconvénients :

The HR function is a bit complicated—mostly the part of creating an employee profile.

Still getting going but good so far

Commentaires : At this point I have a lot more to learn to customize my experience as a manager but I am enjoying what I have explored so far. I like seeing scheduling, time sheets, recruiting all in one place. Excited to see how we are going to utilize it even more in the future.

Avantages :

The onboarding process has been simple and straightforward. I like that the dashboard is intuitive and is customized for what your position is, only showing you the things that you have permissions for.

Inconvénients :

Some of the language can be a touch ambiguous in what exactly they are asking for. Specifically I am talking about the scheduling page where it is asking for frequency and a couple other items. I noticed that I don't seem to get notifications for missed punches, which would be super useful. That being said, I haven't dug into my settings to see if there are options for this.

Commentaires : We're super happy. We needed a more in-depoth, robust, integrated payroll and HR solution and this was perfect.

Avantages :

I like the scheduling and time tracking. We love the integration with Payroll. Saved SO much time as we were doing everything manually before.

Inconvénients :

I find it a bit overwhelming when figuring out how to set everything up - and where to go to access certain information, as some is stored in the HR section and some is stored in the Payroll section.Improvements can definitely be made in the scheduling and time tracking module. For example, the ability for other employees to see other employees schedules within the app - for more transparent shift delegation, capacity planning, shift-swapping, etc.

Rise - Great for business, large or small

Commentaires : The service is free and that is a great thing for small business. It is accurate and having all statutory deductions handled directly is a great assurance for compliance

Avantages :

The system is very easy to use. The Rise team is most responsive and offers the best in customer service. Automated reminders for payroll deadlines are very helpful for business small proprietors

Great system. No issues worthy of mention.

Avantages :

Ease to use. Unlike other payroll software, processing payroll thru Rise is easy and smooth. Nothing is tricky.

Inconvénients :

when employee takes vacation, I wish the vacation hours are automatically deducted from the regular hours.

Avantages :

I find payroll easy to use and process. The customer support team has been really great when I call in and ask questions. The support is very important to me.

Inconvénients :

small glitches on moving from one company to another in downloading PDF files (we do payroll for 5 different companies) I like the convenience of switching over, but find that on the results page, the PDFs download. This could also by an issue on our back end. I've notified RISE on it and they will look into it for me :)

The staff like the ease of use for the software. Payroll loves it for accuracy, ease of use and reporting.

Rise is Great!

Avantages :

Rise is so easy to use and has a great user interface. It is so simple to navigate through to system to find what I need. I love the payroll input sheet, it makes it so easy to make changes to payroll, and I can easily view changes to an employees pay without having to submit the entire run. Such a time saver! The Customer Support Team is also amazing, it is always easy to get ahold of them when needed.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes I will notice small glitches in the system, for example a date being in French when I have selected English for the system. Whenever I see something like this, the Customer Support Team is always able to investigate and resolve it quickly.

Avantages :

I love Rise. I used it for my last business and I’m using it for my current one.

Inconvénients :

Not really, – it’s pretty user-friendly. Perhaps when doing payroll, it might be useful to have something that lets employers step through the different steps so they don’t miss anything.

RISE - Wonderful "all-in-one" solution

Holistic HRIS & pay system. It allows us to see the life-cycle of an employee and help improve their and the companies performance.

Inconvénients :

Bugs to work out. Some features are not quite "baked".

Steer clear of Rise

Commentaires : We were brought on pre-pandemic and things at first were great! The onboarding, service and success teams were all fantastic. COVID hit, and they let go of all of their staff. It is impossible to get any kind of support or service from Rise. Which is compounded by the amount of errors that their system makes. BIG payroll errors. Government reporting errors. Vacation pay errors. We are embarrassed to be using this product because it reflects poorly on our brand to our employees. Do not buy Rise.

Avantages :

The benefits admin is fairly straightforward. This is the only decent feature of the system.

Inconvénients :

Mistakes, no service, billing errors, government reporting errors, cannot get a hold of anyone.

Everything needed for payroll, stellar customer support

Avantages :

Customer support is far and away the best part of this software. If anything goes wrong they will fix it.

Inconvénients :

The main interface hasn't changed a lot since Paysavvy and is showing its age. When I sign in, automatically create the next payroll if it's due soon, rather than making me click "Create Next Payroll". When I add a new rule or click Save, don't force a refresh of the whole page, but persist as is. When I click Submit, skip the need to "View Results" and go straight to a summary report that has all of the information broken out. I always need the invoice data. Detecting statistical exceptions would be great. For example, I once accidentally entered all of employee's time for a pay period as both regular time and overtime. It would be nice for Rise to point out when an employee's hours are significantly different from their median. Web Service API access to the invoice data in particular is something I've wanted for a while. I have a script that scrapes this data and inserts into my accounting system, because it takes a long time to do by hand.

We've been using Rise for payroll and absolutely love it

Avantages :

As our company has grown Rise has always been able to accommodate anything we need. I also cant say enough good things about their customer support; from their support onboarding to quickly answering any questions that come up from payroll to payroll I have always been so impressed.

Inconvénients :

Once a payroll has been submitted there is no way to reopen it, make changes, and resubmit. i do wish I had this ability but any time we've made a mistake or needed to make a change they have always worked with us to find a solution.

Not Worth it

Commentaires : What really bugs me is that they originally had rise lite (free), they then cancelled this and put everyone on their most basic package (They gave plenty of notice etc.) and pricing was phrased in a reasonable way (Fine with us) They don't breakdown how much they charge per payroll, so we never noticed how the bill was racked up. Depending on your business you will be spending MUCH more than competitors for a service that is only sub par. Mostly due to a poor customer support structure.

Avantages :

Reliable, once you figure it out. Having a hard time hitting the 40 word minimum here.

Inconvénients :

Unintuitive, not flexible (If something needs to be fixed/ amended etc good luck), long gaps to pay employees. Free HR add on is a joke. Biggest con is the cost of this software and customer support. They offer email support that takes days, finding the number to call them is difficult and they don't technically offer it (You have to call sales and ask). It was ok when it was free, but paying a premium to be treated poorly....no thanks

Love this software, it's very user friendly, saved my lots time with the whole payroll process

Commentaires : Time saving and efficiencies when procession the payroll

Avantages :

User friendly - the custom reports saved me lots time while reconcile payroll on a monthly and yearly basis. Customer service - Whenever I need help, the support team is always there !

Inconvénients :

We did experienced few discrepancies while we transfer YTD into the system. Thus, at year end, we had some issues with CPP and EI YTD total. Also, for employee benefit , there were few errors in the input sheet. Rise can improve the accuracy in terms of manual adjustment

We start use Rise for company payroll in 2014. It's great software for processing CAD payroll.

Avantages :

It's very easy to use. We can add department and other information very easy way. Also we can e-file T4, ROE online.

Inconvénients :

Rise has no US payroll now. We need use other system to process our US employees payroll. If we can use same Rise system to process CAD and US employees payroll, it will be much better.

Avantages :

like the access to the data so we can run our own customized reports Remittances and T4 all taken care of Better now than in the past. At the beginning it felt like we were beta testing. Customer support staff seem more knowledgeable now Good follow through when we do have a problem or question

Inconvénients :

unexplainable glitches (ie accrued vacation pay missing for some employees on one run) Some Rise standard reports don't seem to include info needed to match the report name Lose the titles when scrolling down a page of employees. If there was a way to "freeze panes" it would be very helpful.

Great Onboarding, Great Customer Service. Great Products

Commentaires : The biggest benefit is the time savings in comparison to when we used ADP and spreadsheets

Avantages :

Rise's payroll system is super easy to use, reports are provided within seconds of processing, and the customer support for payroll is excellent. In terms of it's Hub/Time Off system, it has been great. No more spreadsheets tracking time off or vacation days!

Inconvénients :

Tracking vacation days actually used in Time Off reporting can be a bit tricky when employees request, get approved, but then cancel that request.
