Bounds and leaps above anything else I've worked with
Avantages: Being a single location classic car dealer, it is difficult to find a software that fits all of our needs. Most of our inventory is not compatible with most other DMS systems. Because our cars are old and rare, we have had troubles with other software since we have non-standard VIN numbers, defunct models and makes, and a bevy of other peculiarities that don't fit in well with DMS software designed for new car dealers. Therefore, the best single aspect of DA is that it is (almost) completely customizable. If a make is a missing...no problem, just add it. Not the right model listed...just add it. Want to add another page to your website or make a change to your website's content...you easily can. And this list goes on and on. It's also nice to know that when I do speak with them (either in sales or support) they know our industry. Other features I love are the inventory reporting features, the integrated CRM, form generation, and marketing content management features. We are also avid users of the inventory export features. While these can be particularly tricky no matter what software you use, I’ve found that troubleshooting issues can be easily done with DA because you can actually see what is being exported by downloading a particular feed's export file. From there it’s easy to spot issues and know when you should follow up with the feed provider. They also have a view where you track whether cars have been published to each feed. There are also several useful integrated features that allow a manager to oversee the entire sales process, which we have also found particularly useful. We can see how many images have been taken/published per vehicle, pending sales, and by using the tasks feature you can delegate responsibility to your team.
Two interrelated things DA could improve on is Price and Customization.
Based on my research when we originally made the switch to DA showed that DA was more expensive than other systems. In fact, we spend about 3 times as much per month on DA than we did on our last DMS. Is the increased cost worth it to us? Probably yes, given that we have a beautiful, easy to use, and responsive website that is supported by a world-class back-end management system. But the cost is a hard pill to swallow.
The other aspect of DA that could be improved is customization. This is probably the greatest feature and weakness of DA. They have the ability to make any change I've ever asked for. The caveat: if it's something they've never done before or is unique to you, you might have to pay for it. They will be upfront about the cost, which is great; but don't expect every customization to be free of charge.

Good vehicle back end system with some CRM help needed.
Commentaires: Good info and on its way to being better. One last thing to add to cons is we should be able to update the front end of our webpage without having to call into Speed for that.
The ease of publishing all vehicle inventory to all the advertising sources with one click.
This is the most basic step in a CRM system that leads already assigned to a salesperson stay with that person but here is whats happening. When previously assigned leads come in there is no notification to admins that there is already a salesperson assigned to that lead so what happens is they get a new salesperson which confuses the customer and angers the original assigned salesperson.
Missing training modules new employees can view to get up to speed.
