Commentaires : My partner and I own Sarah Rockower Studio together. She is the talent who makes fabulous paintings and I'm the nerd who manages the company. A couple years back I was doing some research for a couple galleries to find an alternative to ArtBase (🤮) inventory manager which is how I discovered ArtCloud. I did a LOT of research and found ArtCloud to be the best of the best. When Sarah and I were starting our own business I was lucky to find that ArtCloud had just - then - opened up their platform to individual artists after only being available to galleries. Score! I signed us up right away because, duh.

Avantages :

I use ArtCloud and I adore the company. Their support is top notch and very accessible. Their website builder is drag and drop and easy to use and, again, if I have any questions, they're answered quickly and thoroughly. They also have an inventory manager complete with payment/social media integration, email campaigns, analytics, invoice creation and much more. As a singular artist, we pay $48 per month (no startup fee) - which is the basic package for both services. $29 for the inventory manager (up to 500 works) and $19 for website. They top out at $149 & $99 per month which provides more features that we don't require right now (though some features I would LOVE to use...it's not in the budget yet). They often host meetings for artists about business and software use which are live but can be viewed later. They don't take a commission on any sale.

Inconvénients :

There isn't much. Recently I discovered that I would like to edit my website's mobile pages separate from the web version which is not possible. Yet. I trust, however, that ArtCloud dev team will come up with this feature in the future. Future feature!

Commentaires : The customer service has been exceptional from initial contact through to connecting my domain/website and now using it on a daily basis. Everything is elegant and well-designed.

Avantages :

Our website is stunning! People are blown away by how beautiful and easy to navigate it is. We love the ease with which we can enter and manage the information that previously took multiple spreadsheets, documents and applications to achieve. We feel like we've been given the gift of extra hours in our days!

Inconvénients :

We regularly produce events such as small concerts, workshops, retreats etc. We sell tickets or seats to these, and currently have to classify and treat them the same as selling artwork. This is confusing for customers, and it would be nice to have an additional category or product type that would accommodate things like this.

Commentaires : Although the system is good until the support issues are resolved, I don't recommend you do business with them. Unless you are willing to pay for their website services. Maybe this is the problem; they are trying to push their web development team, resulting in a lack of support for regular accounts. And the support person is excellent for the job; she manages very well to talk a lot without saying anything other than underlying rude messages.

Avantages :

The inventory management is excellent and easy to use.

Inconvénients :

Customer service does not exist in this company, although they offer customer service. They have two levels of service Pro and regular. Ours is a regular account that only receives support by email. The people in that position about a year ago were excellent. This team is going down the hill now. The person in customer service is very rude. You get answers that bottom line only to prove how not smart you are; you end with more questions than answers. I exchanged eleven emails but never got a straight answer. This has happened two times already. My third experience was before Christmas when I needed to add pages to my website. I was told there was a "system bug," I cannot add new pages. All the plans that were made for the season had to be canceled them.

Exceptional! Streamlined gallery workflow + Increased online sales

Commentaires : Artcloud has allowed us to streamline internal workflow, track & bring sales to fruition (in-person and online), expand e-commerce and web efforts. Their platform has been instrumental in positioning the gallery well for COVID-era changes.

Avantages :

I have been working with ArtCloud since 2013. We transferred a mid-size gallery from a Bento database to Artcloud with little conflict. Their team's approach is forward-thinking and they are constantly adding new features to the platform. Inventory management, client relationship management, and branded invoicing/messaging are all handled with ease. Great sales reporting features. Lead tracking and dashboard status is a huge help for the sales team. User management also easy--have created accounts for higher-level employees to temporary interns, changing access permissions accordingly. In 2020 we implemented their Artcloud API with a custom Wordpress site with great results--huge reduction in data entry redundancies for the staff and web sales increased 83% from previous year (e-commerce sales + website leads that closed). Excellent support, managing issues and open to feature suggestions.

Inconvénients :

Not much. Perhaps more flexibility in tracking inventory-to-sale for marketing purposes and flexibility in further tailoring branded materials (wall labels, invoices, tearsheets, etc).

Commentaires : A business that listens to it's customers, brings in change as quickly as possible and is there to promote the businesses it works with. We truly feel like partners, which, we never did with competitor brands.

Avantages :

Ease of starting and the user-friendly nature of the dashboard. Upgrades make sense and follow the same clean approach of the base system.

Inconvénients :

As a UK gallery, we have a specific need to work tax slightly differently so the tax function doesn't work well for us. That said, we have a work around which is not labour intensive and works perfectly.
