Very easy to understand and cost effective. Each module has a unique ability to help hospitality business.

Inconvénients :

The time it takes to learn or understand the software. however the CSR team is good and always supportive

Avantages :

Escapia was a huge step up from our last PMS and constantly going the extra mile to perfect services available to customers. Definitely makes our business able to run seamlessly with their features. Kristen is an incredible help!

Inconvénients :

Cusomized reporting needed but it seems to be going in that direction!

Ugly and complicated, but mostly works

Avantages :

Escapia does do most of what it needs to. Especially from an accounting perspective, Escapia works for managing properties and owners, rates, fees, contracts, etc. Escapia also does integrate (with some flaws...) with a lot of other property softwares and listing sites. Finally, I have had mostly good experiences working with Escapia Support, and Homeaway Integration support when trying to figure out integration issues between Escapia and VRBO and other listing sites.

Inconvénients :

The sheer number of times that I had to contact support while using this product bear witness to the fact that it is not easy to use at all. Escapia can do a lot of things, but in order to get it to work you first have to be able to figure it out. There are all kinds of little nooks and crannies all over the software - boxes that have to be checked and extra steps that have to be remembered - if you want it to function. It's also not very pleasant to look at, which isn't a big deal, but also doesn't help. Compared to MyVR's interface Escapia just looks old and ugly. We gave up altogether on setting up an Escapia website, and went with MyVR instead. Overall, Escapia does work for us, and does do what it needs to, but it's not a fun system to use.

Essential Software for Vacation Rentals

Commentaires : Escapia has evolved over the years, so much so, that I believe we stuck with the right software and appreciate how modules have been updated and improved. Still more to go in my opinion but it is making my job easier as time goes by. Thank you.

Avantages :

Support Team is outstanding - friendly, efficient and patient saints!

Inconvénients :

Inflexible in certain areas. We have had to make accommodations to the software in order to satisfy our business model: (i.e. when it comes to managing 30 day rentals, the calendars and rates need to be closely monitored; we pay our internal reservations a commission based on rent revenue and had to devise a way to track this over and above 3rd party agent commissions; we have policies that differ by property and some functionality must be universal for all properties.

Easy to use, once you can navigate certain aspects of the software on your own with experience.

Inconvénients :

Customer service in the accounting area can be challenging to achieve as Tier Two must receive a message to assist, yet rarely call back however email their response. Sometimes training the consumer in this area would be more beneficial and in the long run, would not only educate the user but decrease their volume of call if they would let the consumer ask questions and receive options for ways to operate in a financial situation in the software. Tier Two should provide more adequate service and training as it is or should be included with the software. Accounting questions can not be answered by the team that typically answers support calls.

Commentaires : Overall it is the best vacation rental management software we found. There is no perfect VR software out there so we had to compromise. In the end we chose Escapia because the Trust Accounting is reliable and trustworthy and it has most of the functionality we need.

Avantages :

Trust Accounting is very trustworthy. Correspondence module is comprehensive. [sensitive content hidden]Statements are good. Reservation management has good work flow. Tech support is decent (though sometimes takes too long).

Inconvénients :

The new Rates Manager has fewer capabilities than the previous version. Correspondence doesn't allow uploads of PDFs so our 'letters' look glitchy.

Commentaires : Our overall experience has been a good one. I know there will always be hiccups along the way, but being able to reach out to a responsive support team is critical. So if it wasn't for the Escapia support team coming to the rescue during those times, my rating would probably not be as good.

Avantages :

Easy to use and customer support is awesome and agents have always been professional and kind.

Inconvénients :

Over the last 2 years, I've learned a lot of different features in Escapia but learned new things along the way.

Avantages :

The software is great and easy to use. We are happy to have grown our vacation rental company with Escapia for the last 10+ years. The support team is super helpful and our account manager has always been a huge help and an avid cheerleader of ours and our business. The updates over the years have been proactive and worthwhile to their and our own growth. It is easy to distribute properties to Vrbo & AirBnB. We would not think of switching companies for our PMS

Inconvénients :

Knowing and learning all the moving parts and the back end of the software system can be a bit challenging and daunting but when you first learn it, but it's easy to manage once support is able to walk you through it.

Commentaires : Escapia made setup super easy and has always provided great support while keeping the cost affordable. They continue to release new features and products annually to assist property managers.

Avantages :

Escapia is very easy to use and offers great support. Most staff is trained within 2 days even if they have no experience with vacation rental software. The integration with many channel partners allows us to maximize our properties exposure and secure the best renters.

Inconvénients :

It would be nice to have the ability to customize some reports.

Solid Property Management Software with Excellent Trust Accounting

Commentaires : I have been using Escapia for 5 years now and overall it has saved us an incredible amount of hours we used to spend doing things manually. It does take a considerable amount of time to setup automations, owner contracts, etc. and just learn all the ins and outs in general. However, their implementation teams are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and they have great training articles and videos.

Avantages :

The trust accounting capabilities within the system has greatly improved the speed and accuracy in which we complete our month end accounting procedures, and also provides our owners with very detailed financial statements. Also their integration/mapping with Vrbo is second to none.

Inconvénients :

They are working on a lot of new features and improvements which is very exciting. However, sometimes they announce them way too early in my opinion and they should instead have a solid launch date to provide before announcing.

Amazing Software

Avantages :

I love how it streamlined my vacation rental business. The best part for me other than how much easier it made it for me to run my business is the customer service. They are always very friendly and very knowledgeable. They are wonderful at walking you through your problem without making you feel like you are wasting their time. This software was a game changer for me.

The calendar is hard to read for me due to it being so small

We love Escapia!

Avantages :

We went from a spreadsheet and google calendar system to Escapia 5 years ago, and we are so glad that we did. We have eliminated double bookings and so many other possible errors with this fully integrated system. And the powerful accounting module made it possible to grow our business dramatically over the last 5 years.

Inconvénients :

The accounting component is complicated to use, but we have mastered it. I'm not sure any full function accounting software would be simpler to use, but I don't know.

We love the reporting and ease of use. We call customer support frequently and their response time has been wonderful. They close out most cases with a synopsis of the assistance provided and a support article.

The ONLY software you need for Vacation Rentals!

Commentaires : This is your one stop shop. Escapia connects seamless to your VRBO listings, so you can manage headlines and guest inquiries right from Escapia. We have tried other softwares that boosted in helping our business, but the lack of support those companies gave us, ultimately made us stop using them. We have a million parts moving each day and we need a central hub that keeps everything on track. Escapia is that for us!

Avantages :

The support we receive from the Escapia team has been like no other software companies we have used! The changing over to Escapia was hard for our team who have been using v12, but the Escapia team made sure we were comfortable being going live. The new rates manager is amazing! It makes setting and adjusting rates a breeze! No more looking at different windows and setting rate rules . Its all in one screen.

Inconvénients :

We are missing some key reports we used in V12, but the Escapia team has listened to our requests and are working on new reporting for Escapia. Its a learning curve to switch software companies, but its been worth it.

Commentaires : A powerful tool for the complete needs of a vacation rental management company, from providing guest quotes, customizing guest arrival experience, to managing accounts.

Avantages :

The accounting side of this software is strong and a knowledgeable user has powerful tools. Owner statements are transparent and clearly structured. Correspondence is attractive and easy to customize. The various tools available for setting rates/manipulating rates are easy to use. The reservation grid is easy to understand, and the filters and quotes make the reservationists' work easier and more consistent. Integration with Glad Hospitality helps provide a good guest experience without much effort (once the initial setup is complete). The reports are informative and useful. Bank reconciliation tool is an absolute essential. Having used Escapia and other VRM software while working for other companies, when I started my own company, I knew the only software I wanted to use was Escapia.

Inconvénients :

Features for automated or scheduled correspondence are weak. There is no "notes" area associated with owners for keeping a record of requests, authorizations, etc. Because it is a powerful system, to develop the skills necessary to fully take advantage of its many useful features means you need to invest some time and effort. That is not really a "con" to me. If you have a good tool, you want to learn to take full advantage of it. However, for a new user, it could seem a little scary. But we found that it's not terribly difficult to learn what you need to learn in order to successfully take advantage of the system as a basic user, and that if you want to stop there, you can and you'll still have a good system. It's worth putting in the work, though, to become a skilled user to take advantage of the full capabilities of the system.

Avantages :

I have used Escapia for over 8 years now (as of 2022). I love the escrow accounting side of things paired with reservation/calendar management. Escapia is easy to use once you learn the software and offers a multitude of reports/setup options to customize things the way you need.

Inconvénients :

I wish Escapia would integrate with more 3rd party tech companies and not have so much of a closed API feed.

Avantages :

I love Escapia because it is very user friendly. This program is easy to use which makes the staff training a breeze.

Inconvénients :

I would say the program updates is what I like least due to not being able to use the program during that time. I will say- Escapia does a great job of scheduling these updates in the last evening or early morning when use it is a low.

Love Escapia, excited for their new software

Commentaires : I have loved my experience with Escapia and VRBO! They have wonderful customer service and this software is very easy to use.

Avantages :

I have so many great things to say about Escapia. My number one is customer support. If you can't figure something out immediately, give them a call and it will be fixed within minutes. We manage 70 vacation rental properties and use Escapia for pictures, descriptions, rates, everything! We recently attended one of their meetings where they announced they will be launching a new, more updated Escapia to combine their other softwares as well. I am very excited!

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it will go out for a while, but they do always have it back up and running in a timely manner. There's nothing to say I like the least because they are always willing to fix anything.
