Avis sur Jenzabar One
Jenzabar is one of very few that works fairly well for clock hour schools.
Commentaires : Shared real time data - quality student transcripts and attendance reports.
Avantages :
The ability to customize features to meet unique needs is top notch, and their support team is highly responsive.
Inconvénients :
Still some inconsistency in processing data under unique needs for a clock hour school. Particularly when applying updated we will experience a "regression" on customized items when they interact with an update from time to time.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment :
Modern platform that can link together all of your departments in a single platform
Avantages :
Jenzabar has built a platform that is very cost effective and can replace the many integrations that you likely have at your school. It is a complete platform that has been modernized and rethought to function better in the last few years.
Inconvénients :
Some parts of the platform are not yet updated to the modern standards. This makes it difficult to train new users to the platform.
The Nightmare of Jenzabar
Commentaires : Terrible. It is clunky, and very clicky. Way too many movement to get done what needs to be done. You cannot edit within the program. Any assignments given must be saved as word docs and reuploaded for every edit.
Avantages :
For me as a classroom teacher -- nothing. I guess from the Admin side -- cost effective
Inconvénients :
Very user unfriendly. There is the issue of Instructor tools and resources from publishing companies that do not integrate well with Jenzabar. Jenzabar never comes up on their lists of LMS. That is because it is not an LMS, but an SIS -- a management tool first, a classroom tool second. Admin always runs in the background.
A feature-rich software that looks like it was built by programmers
Commentaires : I've had to use this at multiple schools now, and each time I need to learn it a little differently, depending on what my role is. It's an OK system, and generally does what it needs to, but it's not built with the average person in mind. The interface could be a lot smoother and cleaner.
Avantages :
It's a workhorse that can communicate with multiple other software systems to provide data and data management. Once you learn how to use it, it's relatively easy to administer, depending on your level of access and needs. The more you need to do, the more complex it gets, but there are menus and options for everything.
Inconvénients :
It's not built for the user, meaning it looks like a back-end system and not a front-facing one. Even the newest version, J-1, is not a "pretty" interface. It can get very clunky and full of old reports/links/etc.
Complete SIS Solution
Avantages :
Jenzabar One offers all of the functionality an institution needs to manage the complete spectrum, from candidate to student to graduate, in one system.
Inconvénients :
Nothing about Jenzabar One, itself. Our biggest obstacle has been getting users to delve into the system and learn all of the features available.
