The hotel where I am working implemented our reservation systems with this program about six months ago.
Our way of working before the program was to go webpage by webpage modifying the rooms we had for sale for each day, as so as the prices, a tedious task that sometimes led to human errors, and overbookings.
Since we have channel manager, it is as easy as going to its webpage and modify from here our rooms to sale, prices and channels sales which we work.
We have experienced a radical turn.
Now the work is more efficient, simple and it is easier for us to avoid failures that cause overbookings.
The management of using a single web page to manage everything allows us to focus on the rest of tasks, optimizing our resources.
Undoubtedly one of the best technological advances that have occurred in the tourism sector.
Avantages :
Easy handling. You can manage all your sales channels from a single website. Overbookings are avoided. Allows efficient sales management. They give you a very concise training to use the program without problem since the first moment.
Inconvénients :
It is somewhat complicated to manage all channels for the first time. The same happens with the prices configuration. You need to be aware when you sell rooms directly to change availability. You have to raise or lower prices by hand, there is no option that tells the program to raise prices when there are few rooms left. There are some cases the channels lose connectivity with the program (usually fixed in an hour or so).
