Great Platform

Avantages :

Looking into integration features and easy ways of making images available to individual location users

This is our first and favorite DAM

Commentaires : We historically used Google Drive for all of our media storage with is wholly inadequate. By moving over to Media Valet, we are able to store a single high resolution image that can be downloaded or shared to any specification. We are working on an integration with Wagtail, our CMS, that will allow us to pull images directly into our website.

Avantages :

We have historically stored all of our images on Google Drive and recently moved everything over to Media Valet so it is hard to say just one thing that I like the most. The most valuable feature is that we now have a single source of truth for all of our images rather than several versions stored across several folders. When we share images with media or other users, we can share them in a format of their specification without duplicating or editing the original image. It is simply amazing.

Inconvénients :

I was pretty excited about the potential to use the branded portals but discovered that they are fairly inflexible. You can not include descriptions for the images in the gallery view and can not create any dynamic sections. I was optimistic that we would be able to use this feature to showcase galleries of images but it will not work for us for that use.

Vendor Experience is a Nightmare

Commentaires : I interact with MediaValet as a vendor, and it can be quite a nightmare. Our company usually has large amounts of media that have to be uploaded at a time (multiple photoshoots, videos, etc), and I always feel like I'm playing Russian Roulette when uploading to MediaValet. Sometimes, my upload finishes in minutes. But more often than not, it will take hours for it to upload, only to be met by an "error" message at the end, or have my files stuck in an endless "processing period." I've wasted so many hours uploading overnight, only to have to do it again the next day. Granted, I can only speak to my experience from the vendor side, not the user side, but I would NOT recommend this to anyone wanting to impress or improve the quality of life for vendors.

Avantages :

* The interface has a clean aesthetic * The option for password-protected links * The ability to access online

Inconvénients :

* Uploading as a vendor can be confusing and frustrating * Uploading server often fails or crashes when working with larger files * "Error" or "Still Processing" screens are common with upload of larger files * The organization of uploaded files is not intuitive

MediaValet Review

Avantages :

The search function of MediaValet is the best of any other solution I've seen. It can automatically detect colours, text and items in an asset making metadata management and searching easier.

Inconvénients :

The branded portals are not as robust as the dam itself. I would like to be able to have sections within sections on a brand portal.

One of the best of it's kind

Avantages :

MediaValet is one of my favorite tools when it comes to sharing marketing content.

Inconvénients :

The UI of MediaValet is good and simple, yet it can be difficult for new users to get started with.

Having to login too often is annoying, when you are super busy and that Login window pops up, it doesn't help.

Great tools

Avantages :

i use it mostly to share asset marketing to partners in different region, so the filter on how it saved is really helpful for me to organize it.

Inconvénients :

i wish i could share the content easier, since i need to share the asset to several parties.

Beyond Impressed

Avantages :

While the platform and functionality is great -- and performs every function we ever needed...and even some we didn't realize we needed until we already had them! -- it's really the outstanding customer service that brings MediaValet to the next level. We had high expectations going into our work with MediaValet, and not only have they been met but they've been exceeded beyond anything we could have imagined.

Inconvénients :

We haven't had any problems at all at this point. The biggest drawback that I could possibly think of is the time difference between ourselves and our contact at the company, but he's never let that be an issue and we've had seamless and exceptional customer service at every turn.

Nothing but positive things to say about our first 6 months or so working with MediaValet!

Commentaires : The biggest benefit is overall increased productivity in multiple ways. It makes several tasks easier, and it's changing the way our teams store and manage content. For many older users, this is their first foray into the cloud! The intuitive layout is great.

Avantages :

This personally has really changed the way I organize things, and I can already tell it's beginning to make some light bulbs flash for a few coworkers too. We've rolled this out to a team of 150+ who have never had access to something like this before. All feedback has been positive. Lots of potential moving forward.

Inconvénients :

Cloud software is maybe more prone to issues and downtime then most of the fully offline Apple, Adobe and MS platform applications I use regularly. There have been a few hiccups, may take a day or two sort out, but it's never been a major problem! To be expected for the most part.

Perfect for emailing digital literature to customers

Commentaires : I use Mediavalet weekly to access NSC information for customers.

There is nothing to address here. My use case is limited to access media from a centralized point and this just works perfectly

All our global brand assets are kept with MediaValet for use across more than 30+ markets around the world. It’s the best asset library that I’ve ever worked with, easily accessible via keywords, languages and file types.

Seriously there isn’t anything I don’t like about the software. It works for what I require it for:-)

Commentaires : Simply put: before MediaValet we had no Golden Master of any of our published resources. We now do, and so much more. The service has ensured we have a "safety net" in case anything catastrophic happens to our onsite data, we've realized time efficiencies knowing we have a great system of record and we're just starting to roll it out to the greater organization for consumption.

Avantages :

The negotiation and onboarding process was done in a very cooperative manner, and they were very good at dealing with some very tight timelines for the initial setup! As well, we had an abnormal ask for a particular project that they were not expecting but worked with us to develop a solution for. Since then, they have worked with us and our security teams to ensure the experience not only uncompromisingly delivers their core functionality, but also meets our security team's needs.

Inconvénients :

The interface feels sturdy and works well, but doesn't feel overly "cutting edge". All-in-all not a game changer, but sometimes a dated UI/Design can introduce unintentional barriers to adoption or advocacy.

One of the best marketing solutions out there!

Commentaires : Media Valet has been great for our business marketing. Searching for images, videos, illustrations via the various stock images sites was very time consuming. Using media valet has saved us the headache of seemingly endless searches. In addition, purchasing stock photos that may only be used a single time is expensive. Media Valet has saved us quite a bit in those fees.

Avantages :

Love that Media Valet saves us an enormous amount time and money! Files within are so organized that your search can be broken down by not only categories (photos, videos, logos etc) but also categories within categories! Also love that downloads of even the highest resolutions are quick and easy.

Inconvénients :

What I like least about it if I HAD to pick something would be if I have several large hi res files in a lightbox and want to download them in a zip file, it does take longer than downloading individually.

Global platform increasing efficiency, sales and digital access control. A win-win for all!

Avantages :

With over 25,000 digital assets currently in my organizations library, this platform increased the ease of searching for specific and relevant assets to better their daily performance. From operations to sales, MediaValet has made our company better! The single best thing about MediaValet is that it's global and accessible in China.

Inconvénients :

This is truly being picky, but product development could be a bit faster. My team is constantly providing feedback about the need for increased mobile friendliness, self-reporting functions and lastly better data tracking/impressions.

My benefits from using MediaValet

MEDIA VALET IS GREAT

Commentaires : MediaValet allows us to keep all of our assets in one place with a huge storage. Also, it's very easy to share assets to colleagues for downloading. Since we launched, it's been a great asset for us.

Avantages :

Improved management videos, photos and other collateral and visual assets.

Inconvénients :

I can't really think of anything I don't like about MediaValet.

The easy way to get organized

Commentaires : It's becoming easier and easier the more we add to our library to tag and find what we have. We want everyone who uses Mediavalet in our organization to feel they know how to find what they are looking for and explore our collections.

Avantages :

Mediavalet is great for organizations with a lot of digital assets to store and access. Before Mediavalet, we were using a big drive where nothing was easy to find. You had to know exactly when something was taken and then guess where it might have been stored. It was difficult to discover what was hiding in our own assets library. With mediavalet, we can see what we have, see details, and tag our pictures as we grow to make our catalog searchable.

Inconvénients :

I wish there was a visual representation of how much space we are using. I also wish that it moved slightly faster, though I know there are a lot of assets. I wish that there wasn't a button to upload immediately before adding tags because sometimes I accidentally click it and I can't add tags to that batch without finding which ones they were, clicking them, and adding the tag after. It also might be nice to have a list of suggested tags

Media Valet is Great Solution for storing, organizing and sharing digital assets

Commentaires : We centralized our assets from various drop box files owned by various employees to one corporate shared site that can be shared by teammembers anywhere in the world..

Avantages :

Very easy to organize lots of files and file types in multiple ways, tag assets, fie assets and share assets. Look forward to adding various roles and degrees of access to streamline our business and be able to share account specific access with clients.

Inconvénients :

We have not yet figured out how to flag duplicate file entries.

Commentaires : its great and essential for a designer. when you dont have ideas you can browse your archive and be inspired or you can go directly to the folders of the art youre looking for

Game Changing Platform

Avantages :

All of the assets my sales team and I need are in one place. Easy to use, easier to share with clients without attaching multiple files to email. Lightning fast and it makes work much easier for all of us!

Inconvénients :

At this point in time i have no negative comments on MediaValet
