It's a Pretty Option Overall

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : Overall, I've been very happy with activenet, especially with customer service. I have been in regular contact with the support team over the last 5 years and have had an exceptional experience every single time. The team doesn't stop until they can find you a solution, or at least an answer.

Avantages :

I like how customizable it is and how far ActiveNet has come with respect to the CUI as well as the AUI. It's become more functional over time. It's highlight is it allows for ease of program setup, delivery, and registration.

Inconvénients :

I don't like the process in which upgrades/updates are received and potentially reviewed. I have a request for a very important update for our company that has been overlooked as larger institutions and companies likely don't need to use the specified function. The lack of update impacts our processes such that we require to keep track of thousands of paper copies which is absolutely archaic and waste of time.

If Only There Were ZERO Stars

1,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : This might be the least user-friendly software I've ever used. In 20 years of tracing inventory, POS and events, I've never seen anything worse.

Avantages :

Our homeowners can register for events and purchase tickets.

Inconvénients :

Literally everything else. No one has ever been able to properly explain the pricing structure. I am unable to run registration reports and no one can help us troubleshoot. The customer service department is terrible (long wait times, ineffective and zero follow up). And the member interface/search engine is horrible.

10 years of Successful work together!

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : Overall, our experience has been a Successful one. We have been her for 10 years now so that in and of itself speaks volumes. We have been able to grow, change leadership, and even weather a pandemic without passing those struggles on to our customers.

Avantages :

Specialized modules for Memberships. Other products we have looked at seem to treat memberships like activities and they function quite differently too. The Connect App for Camp and Child Watch. It has been an amazing tool that has allowed staff to be more mobile both geographical with remote sites for camps and within their workspaces by untethering with the tablet.

Inconvénients :

Pricing, every new development is an additional cost. Support Hours of Availability, we are on the west side of the country and as a result our facilities are open hours after support closes. Reports are a constant struggle. Canned reports only return about 70-80% of what we need. We either end up pulling multiple reports and piecing them together in Excel or I end up trying to build custom reports in insights (even though not all the data points are available there either) to pull the data we need. The I have to go and make sure that all users who need it are able to access it.

Does the job

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Avantages :

Their customer support is very helpful. Most of the basic functionality is there and does the job.

Inconvénients :

Doesn't allow for much customization on website or customization within. And if you can it is not easy to find. There are solutions but require us to often to reach out to Activenet support. Would love to see this be more user friendly. Would love to see a more customizable URL that can be given to customers for example www.fernierecreation.ca rather than this long URL that is not user friendly.

Comprehensive but complicated

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : ActiveNet can be a good tool for parks and recreation. It has comprehensive features and functions that fit an agency's needs. But the customization is limited and the learning curve is challenging. Plus, the complexity of the user interface and managing data prevents users from fully using all the features.

Avantages :

A lot of features. Online registration is convenient. Converting all programs to InDesign for marketing is easy. Customer service is very responsive.

Inconvénients :

ActiveNet is an old platform and its user interface looks like early 2000s and is complicated. The data management is difficult. There are too many settings and parameters for pulling a report. Some reports are in tabular format Excel but many are not, especially revenue reports, which are impossible to be integrated into other financial or data management. To learn a specific function of ActiveNet is not difficult, but the learning curve to use ActiveNet effectively is challenging. Customization is limited, we often need to adjust our programs or facilities to fit the modules.

Great Basic Registration System

3,0 il y a 10 mois

Avantages :

Great for basic class registration and membership tracking.

Inconvénients :

Certain reports are harder to pull up/find than others, and are not clear. Too many functions/buttons for certain categories. Scholarships get overrided when making changes to a schedule. Not easy for a low-to-average computer user.

Lots of features, lots of learning

3,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : Overall our experience has been pretty good. I still prefer it to the previous recreation registration software we used. Billing has been a frustrating process, with much miscommunication.

Avantages :

ActiveNet is very versatile in that there are many things you can do with it.

Inconvénients :

The set-up and often use of it isn't always intuitive. Any time we want to implement something new within it we have to dedicate a lot of time for learning, set-up and training of staff on it.

Occasional User

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Avantages :

I like how much information it is able to gather from participants and the features like scheduled reporting. I like having the option to export in different file types as that makes my work easier. I like the look on the customer side - it's clean and modern I also like the ability to work through things in the sandbox.

Inconvénients :

I don't like the look of the back-end site. It feels dated and overly complication.

Reporting, reporting, reporting...

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Avantages :

The reporting options in ActiveNet are unending.

Inconvénients :

Some reports that are exports to Excel need work. Lots of unnecessary columns and text meant for one cell is exports to an additional cell in the row below (creating a whole extra row as well).

Activenet is useful but needs a facelift on the interface

2,0 il y a 5 mois

Commentaires : Average experience but feel it can be improved tremendously since it has so much utilization in large organizations.

Avantages :

It organizes the camps, classes and services in one location.

Inconvénients :

Activenet for small schools

4,0 il y a 6 ans

Commentaires : Generally, this software has work well for is to bring clarity to the revenue and payroll streams and helped us greatly reduce past due balances and reduce staff time with registration transactions.

Avantages :

We appreciate parents' ability to login to manage their accounts, register for the correct classes and make online payments. The private lesson management on the staff side is efficient and generating the needed payroll information works well for us. Communication module is also much appreciated for targeted emails by course registration or level of participation. We have been able to fairly easily configure this software to work for our small school.

Inconvénients :

Reporting is very hard to trust and manipulate. Activenet seems to be trying to address this with AdHoc reporting and Insights, but the time and $ involved in incorporating those aspects is with our small staff is prohibitive. Also withdrawing students from a lesson course after they have had one or two lessons is impossible and necessitates adding fake money into the system to close the receipt. We find frustration that all the product enhancements are generally geared to YMCA type organizations and the smaller school needs are not often addressed.

Lots of functionality - is it the right fit for your purpose?

3,0 il y a 8 ans

Commentaires : If your organization needs to handle complex registrations, events like conferences and the like, it's probably one of the most full-featured out there. However, they way it defaults doesn't really apply broadly to other uses, so setup gets difficult, and sometimes you just have to workaround or accept something that doesn't quite do what you want the way you want it. Still, for smaller organizations, it's a good value for the cost. Their fee structure is fair, and lower than most.

Avantages :

Easier to use queries and data reports--they have really worked to make the user experience better in last several years. Abundant tutorials, many are pretty good, some are redundant or not that informative. Fulfills its main purpose well and offers functionality to handle rather complex organizational needs.

Inconvénients :

For our needs to track interactions with our constituents, the system required a lot of workarounds outside of conference management. Membership reports were difficult to set up to get the information needed. Setup is difficult and complex in general, particularly if your organization doesn't quite fit the model they used to develop the software. Although we realize they have to have some sort of fee model, to be charged a fee for charitable donations is hard to accept, .

Commentaires : I have been with Activenet for 6 years. I have demonstrated the site to 4 different organizations.

Avantages :

What is there not to like - easy to learn, has programming, scheduling, etc. Love the fact that the trainer site is 99.9% of the real site (does not process payments) so easy to try things on before using main site.

Inconvénients :

Nothing. It does everything we need it to do.

Great for Nonprofits!

5,0 il y a 6 ans

Avantages :

Last year, we were going to hold a 5K as a fundraiser and had no clue on where to start or what to do. From our standpoint, they really fulfilled their promise in helping provide us with the tools to hold a successful 5K. Ultimately, we ended up nixing the idea, but we will use Active Network in the future!

Inconvénients :

The main con that we encountered was the fact that the products were not available a la carte. We already used a robust CRM that offered event management, but didn't offer event management that catered towards a 5K. The pricing was outrageous for our needs, but again, we were looking for something a la carte.

ActiveNet Review

Avantages :

Organized program that is easy to read. I use it more during the summer season here than in winter.

Inconvénients :

if I knew how to use it better, than just what I know, it might be a little more handy. We use other internal programs that pretty much do the same thing.
