Avantages :

L'analyse des données et les rapports permettent vraiment d'anticiper afin de réduire les coûts des projets à venir. Son point fort est bien sa capacité de prévoir. L'import-export des données est également un plus non négligeable.

Inconvénients :

La difficulté à s'adapter au logiciel dans les premiers moments.

One of the statistical analysis software that I used every week

Commentaires : Overall my experience with Minitab is very positive. It helps me to perform my job more efficiently as data driven conclusion or reports are very well accepted by many people especially management.

Avantages :

I like Minitab for its easy navigation and the layout or its dashboard information. Analysis reports are being summarized very neat and helping users to understand what the data is telling easily.

Inconvénients :

Online licensing is the least that I like about this software. Currently I am using online license which means I have to be online to use Minitab which is very inconvenient for me.

Commentaires : Minitab is a statistical software useful for presentation and evaluation of acquired data. It guarantees that the data for analysis is reliable and accurately calculated because it is computer-based. The controls for graphs and charts, fundamental statistics, and analysis of variance are some of the most useful components of this software for me.In my college years, Excel is what I used to display the statistical graphics for our presentations, but after learning how to use Minitab while working in the field, I find it to be more practical since regressions, standard deviation, or any other statistical data don't need to be manually computed.The graph and chart controls and analysis of variance are two features I use frequently in this software. By combining these two, we can easily identify the outlier or significant defect that adds to our process' manufacturing loss. The assistance of statistics, hypothesis testing, and statistical display provided by this application considerably enhances our process and final product. Additionally, the company practices Lean Six Sigma, which mandates the use of Minitab to represent statistical data for simple analysis and interpretation in order to reduce errors and defects.

Good tools for researchers, analyst

Commentaires : We have been using this software for more than 10 years in the company. It very helpful for our improvement projects. However, that was not easy when we think to use the output from Minitab to apply in our manufacturing information system or think how to apply the advantage of Minitab to our big-data.

Avantages :

- Very common tool and that can be used for root cause analysis, problem solver and especially in the project needs to work with data (6 Sigma projects) - The guideline and assistance function in the tool is quite helpful for the beginner - Customer support is great as you can call, email and they can work out with you for the solution quickly. - The output/report makes sense with all logic and statistics result

Inconvénients :

- The learning curve is quite long, needs to invest both time/money to know how to use the tool efficiently - The graph/report output is not perfect and sometimes it requires time to make it up - Big gap to integrate with other systems, meaning you only use this offline, no options to interface with other databases. That also shows the limitation when import/export file.

Great software for data visualization in scientific research work

Commentaires : Great tool for statistical analysis, prediction, plotting of data and easy to learn to use. Lots of tutorials are available to use this software effectively.

Avantages :

For my research work, I have to analyze the data and visualize the results to showcase my research outcome. I always prefer to use software like Minitab for easily showing the output of experiment. It has enriched library and you can plot anything from your available data.

Inconvénients :

Minitab is a lightweight software but sometimes you may face difficulty to handle large size data to plot. It got fridge sometimes to work with huge database of millions of information.

Suitable software for engineers

Commentaires : I have enjoy using this software for planing several optimal design and also regression modeling. I appreciate providing the predicted R-Square as an useful option in the output of regression analysis.

Avantages :

There are many statistical software in the market but Minitab is specially designed for engineers. It has a very advanced capability in design and analysis of experiment.

Inconvénients :

The design of this software user interface is so classic. So, maybe using another framework for making the user interface more attractive is needed.

Fantastic functionality with a steep learning curve

Commentaires : Overall positive. Despite needing time to learn it, it was still faster than alternatives to get the data gathered and into a presentable format.

Avantages :

The amount you can do with the program cannot be understated, it makes data crunching so much easier. If you need to analyze and present data, I haven't found a better program.

Inconvénients :

Despite the upside, a lot of the functionality needs to be taught to you by a peer or by a tutorial. The interworkings were not that clear to me at first.

Best program for charts and analysis

Avantages :

Easy to apply formulas and analysis, very user friendly. Charts very easy to read.

Inconvénients :

Haven't found anything bad yet. This program is awesome.

Lean Black Belt must have

Commentaires : I have solved several situations related to production process. With the graphs, visuals and statistics I can understand the current process and identify if the process is in control or not. As a Lean Black Belt it is a must have.

Avantages :

If you are a lean expert you must have this application. As a Black Belt, I need this to be able to take decisions for improvement projects. This helps you understand the process and make possible predictions. Also the graphs and visuals helps you explain the process to the top management and others. It is great to see trends and identify major offenders.

Inconvénients :

To use the application probably you must need a training from an expert to have a better understanding of all features. And another thing is you must know basic concepts of statistics.

Incredible software for performing statistical and predictive analysis

Commentaires : Overall, I have had great experience using minitab, the software is incredibly powerful for predictive analysis, design of experiments and data visualization

Commentaires : Great tool for statistical data analysis and visualization. It has great features and does not require any special training. I found it user-friendly and easy to use. A free trial is available, however, it is worthful to buy a license.

Minitab a Complete Analytics package.

Commentaires : Overall experience is very good as it is necessary for our students projects.

Avantages :

It is very simple software used to analyze complex operations. It is user friendly and takes less time to understand fully. It is mostly used in the educational Institutes for the project works for generating time series trends.

Inconvénients :

All the features available in Excel is not exploited. There is chance of improving the software towards 3D plots.

Most useful tools for data analytics

Commentaires : It helps to produce various plots and graphs like control charts, histograms etc, and other analysis tools used in TQM (total quality management).

Avantages :

Most of the data analysis tools available in any of the software.It is widely used software in most of the organization which is validated and approved.

Commentaires : Overall, i love to use it for my research works. It helps me to prepare research reports and forecasting the outcome of research works.

Sometimes it fridges due to large data in data set. It slows down the performance while processing large information.

Sufficient functions for most of my statistical analysis

Commentaires : Minitab is easy to use since its user interface is not complex. My overall experience on Minitab is good and will renew my license in the future.

Avantages :

1. Minitab provides most of the functions in my daily work. For example, Design of Experiments, gauge R&R, ANOVA, distributions fitting, hypothesis tests, regression, Power and Sample Size, and Assistant. 2. I like the Assistant function the most because it can help me choose a proper approach to analyze a data set. The results from the Assistant reports are also easy to be understood and clear. 3. After each analysis, Minitab output results by text and figures. This can help me to understand the physical significance of the results and to report/visualize the data/results to my manager.

Inconvénients :

Although Minitab outputs statistical results in plots and figures, the formats, fonts, and designs of the figures and the plots can be improved to be more aesthetic. Maybe Minitab's developing team can try to use more AI to improve the outputs of the plots and figures.

Analyse the data with Minitab easily.

Commentaires : It is actually a reliable statistical package I have ever used. I can remember how I learnt Minitab lessons eagerly during my undergraduate period and how I recalled them and analyzed thousands of my research data.

Avantages :

During the four years of my university life, among all the other statistical softwares Minitab is the easiest and versatile statistical package I have ever used. Specially it is very affordable package for academics and requires less disk space as well as can be easily installed. It provides a comprehensive set of statistical features including; Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Hypothesis tests, Design of Experiments, Graphical analysis, Descriptive statistics, Correlation and Regression and etc. to perform wide variety of statistical analysis easily rather than using statistiacal codes in SAS. When I am reading research papers I have experienced that many researchers use the latest version of Minitab to the analysis of their research data. Even for my undergraduate research I used Minitab for the analysis.

Inconvénients :

Actually I haven't experienced any kind of issue while I am performing Minitab yet.

Great for data analysis as a student and in the working world

Commentaires : Overall, this is great for data analysis as a student and alright in industry. I have not come across anything in industry that I couldn't do on Excel, but I prefer Minitab since I have been using it for longer.

Avantages :

I have been using this software since back in my college days, and it was a serious competitor to Excel. Obviously both have their perks and benefits, but I find Minitab to be better most of the time. There are a lot of tutorials in case one isn't familiar with it, which is great for first learning the software or improving over time.

Inconvénients :

I have had a hard time in the past importing data, and have had issues getting plots that I need. There should be a wider variety of models. Some graphs, especially ones with lots of data, can be difficult to read. I have experienced this across most data software I use, but it is still a con.

Minitab's Power

Commentaires : Amazed by the capabilities of the software and the amount of valuable information you can obtain from it, definitely worth it, but expensive in comparison to other software out in the market.

Avantages :

It is breathtaking the ease at which the program provides valuable information for the user. When provided with quality data. The user can easily obtain simple statistics analyisis, correlation between variables, predictions for later outcomes, very clear graphs, many types of regressions etc. Information about the reliability (statistical residual analysis) of the results depending on the input data. You can develop a DOE (design of experiments) to find the most impactful variable(s) and manipulate it/them to obtain desired results in whichever process.

Inconvénients :

The organization for various sheets could be improved but in general it is a very friendly software easy to understand a few hours into its use.

Nice Experience with Statistical Analysis

Commentaires : I have been using Minitab for a long time and it is the best software that I used for statistical analysis of my projects. The result of the statistical analysis is acceptable and easy to move into other files. You can easily predict and visualize the data. Minitab is user-friendly statistical analysis programme.

Avantages :

Minitab helps me rapidly make the statistical analysis. It just requires basic level of statistics. You can easily copy the results to word file or print by simple clicking. The results are simple enough to be understood by non-experts. You can easily move columns and modify the data in worksheets.

Inconvénients :

The graphs attraction is limited and generally we have to re-plot the data in another program.

Avantages :

It is a really good software to do some statistical and exploratory data analysis for beginners. It get the basic job done like creating a normal distribution, box plots and also finding the P values.

Inconvénients :

It does not have a lot of features like the new softwares in the market today like R, Python etc. It should get a revamp to stay in this market.

Good Standalone

Commentaires : If you need a statistical software that stands alone from any other system. Minitab is viable option. But, if you need it to tie to other systems to be feed the data, don't go this route. You can import data manually and copy manually, but that is it. This works the same way on export. So in other words, it is like a fancy calculator that you have sitting on your desk.
Over the years they have improved their navigation thru their menus, and added some functionality to it, but still lacks to other software packages.
If you have two or more systems that you use regularly (e.g. Virtual machine and Desktop Workstation), your license only supports one system. If you need it on both, you have to purchase a separate license. Even Autodesk has figured this out to not be a very viable option for their customers.
Be cautious about their training packages. You are not allowed to purchase a course, but only an allotted time for a course. So like most work environments, work can take priority over completing a course. So, if you do not complete it in time, you miss out.
It was a good statistical software back in their early years, but never kept up with technology and demand of the customers. And, it still has its old ghost that never were worked out of the system.
I don't suggest using this. Go with some other system that someone suggests highly, that meets the demands of this age, not an age gone past.
