Clear choice for our non-profit animal sanctuary and spay/neuter clinics

Commentaires : The implementation team was stellar in helping us switch from Avimark to ezyVet. The conversion team did an outstanding job with almost no involvement from us. All data was converted accurately. Again, because we are not the 'normal' type of customer for ezyVet, our implementation manager needed to find ways to handle many unique things that we required that would not be a requirement for a regular vet clinic. He was almost always able to come up with a great solution. We were very pleased. The support team is very responsive and very knowledgeable. Their ticketing system works well for our staff to input their question or concern and get the direction they need. Turnaround is good.

Avantages :

We are a non-profit animal sanctuary and the majority of our medical services are provided to the approximately 1700 animals we have at the sanctuary at any given time. They are a wide variety of species and their services run the gamut of simple shelter medicine (vaccines, spay/neuter, simple meds) to very complex services (surgeries, hydrotherapy, alternative medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, etc.). We needed a solution flexible to handle all of these variations. ezyVet offered full functionality to manage care for all of our types of animals and types of customers, and was able to successfully report by these breakouts. We also rolled out ezyVet to our spay/neuter clinic which serves our animals, non-profits and public customers. The key things we were looking for when we selected ezyVet were: > System stability > System accessible from anywhere (cloud based) > Able to handle unique pricing of services for our animals, employees, non-profits, and public customers; pricing model also varied by type of product/service > Able to report expenses and revenue by categories of our animals, employees, non-profits and public customers > Able to use same software for both types of clinics > Incorporates whiteboard (integrated with SmartFlow) > Seamless integration with our lab, x-ray and ultrasound equipment and vendors > Significant paperless functionality > Management of clinic inventory > All data available via API ezyVet met all of our criteria.

Inconvénients :

Since we are a non-profit, the standard reporting in ezyVet does not provide most of what we are looking for. We are pursuing bringing the data into our data warehouse via the API so we can create our own reports. Also, the learning curve was quite steep. ezyVet is not easy to learn for the less tech savvy staff. However, once they learned it, it has been fairly easy to use. We have used the client portal at our spay/neuter clinic. Because of our unique clientele of shelters and rescues having many animals per client, we have experienced problems with using the portal for viewing records but it has worked well for scheduling appointments. We are setting up the client portal for internal use at the sanctuary for scheduling appointments and getting answers to medical questions. We have experienced some limitations in the functionality to set up questions and answers.

Overall average charting software.

Commentaires : Overall, I find it to be very comparable to other products it is competing against.

Avantages :

The major features are intuitive enough.

Inconvénients :

Not enough control to create templates and edit them for users, we are struggling to get the templates we need and want because the users have no control of this, only admin, and then it increases the workload. Overly specific timestamps cause more problems than they help solve.

Commentaires : Not worth your money or time.

Avantages :

Customer support was nice and the sales team where helpful. They have a video library you can use but it's very difficult to follow and understand.

Inconvénients :

The cost, the delays in getting assistance, their system is incredibly difficult to use and I'm an avid computer user so if it was difficult for me as someone technologically inclined I can only imagine the horrors other clinics are going through and the overall complete incompetency of their implementation team. I had such a hard time getting anywhere and for over $700 a month CAD, you'd think they'd have decent international support. They only have one support team on New Zealand time and the managers who are the only ones authorized to do anything are constantly on vacation and therefore you go weeks without results. And when calls were scheduled I was quickly ghosted. I quickly quit my contract and left as fast as I could from this company.

Ezyvet is the leader of the pack

Avantages :

Cloud based software is the newest tool that makes each work station its own vet practice, can see your whole hospital in a few clicks

Inconvénients :

We are 24 hours and at times have had issues connecting with support to resolve issues but I believe they are still growing this team and it has been avalible 95% of the time when needed.

The only think I dislike about ezyvet is that it is not able to link to sister clinics that we have.

EzyVet could be easier

Avantages :

There are a few things that I like compared to our past system. There is an ease of use and as a Client Service Representative that is fantastic. Payment are also very easy. I love that I can email everything straight from the software versus having to download everything. Appointment confirmation is very easy to do as well.

Inconvénients :

On the veterinary assistant and CSR side, easy of use can be tough when it comes to medical records and where to look for certain things. I also do not like when I am trying to navigate out of a patient chart and I click on the schedule and it automatically prompts to make an appointment. This can be a very frustrating thing.

Avantages :

Ease of record keeping, for an affordable price. It will change your workflow for the better.

Inconvénients :

Still improving in some areas, most of the times it's for the better. Getting requests in or bugs fixed is rather slow/cumbersome though.

Commentaires : Great! I really enjoy most aspects of it and it makes a lot of sense.

Avantages :

Very user friendly for record keeping and I love the picture option for pets.

Inconvénients :

The bill takes a long time to view, especially the ones with lots of line items. Also needs a better section for medications that the patient is currently taking, including doses that may be changed when communicating with the veterinarian without seeing the patient.

Powerful veterinary software that can take you to the next level

Commentaires : EzyVet allows us to communicate better with out clients, have the information we need at our fingertips weather on the road or in the clinic and keep seamless data with our accounting software.

Avantages :

Ezyvet is one of the most powerful PMS I have used and it's constantly evolving to meet the needs of its users. Combined with its ease of navigation powerful reporting and portability (all you need is a internet connection) it would be hard to consider any of the other market options.

Inconvénients :

The only downfall with ezyVet can be the shear size of it. Having made the switch to ezyVet 4 or so years ago and having overseen the implantation and maintenance I tend to forget just how much it can do (and dose) and for new users it can be a little overwhelming. That said very consistent formatting means that when learning a new section of the system everything feels familiar and our new users are normally up and running after a couple of shifts.

Some good features

Commentaires : All HIS programs have challenges. EzyVet is one of the better ones from a tracking finance point of view. As a specialty hospital, we have had to cone up with many process work around to make EzyVet work for us. As a product developed for specialty it is surprising there is no integrated in patient care option. It is very easy to send out complete records to referral vets as long as you don't need to include the treatment sheet

Avantages :

Finding diagnostic results for a particular visit. Having sections in the patient record so you can jump there when needed.

Inconvénients :

It seems almost every part of patient care besides billing takes multiple steps. Very few tasks can be completes in just 1 step

Commentaires : End of day reconciliations are never an issue with the Pay Junction integration. We have always had an issue using the commission aspect of ezyVet for our doctors, and have to calculate that ourselves. It would be nice if it could actually calculate it correctly.

Avantages :

I find it very easy to use. We were lucky to have an implementor come on site who was fantastic. We learned a lot in a week.

Inconvénients :

The initial set up. It was not clear how much time we would spend on this. We were sold on the "we'll move everything over...." and then when we were in, we found out we had so much set up on our own. Some of the ezyVet people we spoke to at that time treated us as if we were more technologically skilled than we are. It was like they assumed we already knew ezyVet. The portal is horrible. An app would be more helpful.

Commentaires : I have been in the veterinary field for about 12 years now and have worked at other hospitals. EzyVet is by far the best program ive used as a receptionist.

Avantages :

Most of all, It's easy to navigate. One thing that comes to mind is when importing labs from outside hospitals, messages are sent to the doctor simultaniously. That helps so much and saves time.

Inconvénients :

I cannot complain to be honest. Since Beverly Hills Vet signed up for it, I have been very pleased with how easy it is to operate and use.

Ezyvet makes recording medical records easy by enabling robust customization of templates and enables excellent integration with outside programs.

Inconvénients :

We were not able to effectively use the integration with Xero and there are a few features of patient charts that are limited in customization, but overall Ezyvet is a fantastic product.

Commentaires : EzyVet software has allowed for growth of our business. Once navigation of the program is learned, it flows very well.

Avantages :

EzyVet has improved the overall flow of our specialty office. It offers features that allow us to customize how we use the system.

Inconvénients :

The medication section could be improved to allow better flow with current medications on/ off. The volume of variables can cause differences between doctors that makes it challenging to find information for each one.

Commentaires : Whenever we need help the customer service on the phone helps us almost instantaneously. I love that I can check records at home when on call.

Avantages :

I can type records in record time using the templates and editing them, creating my own shortcuts and discharges that edit based on patient gender.

Inconvénients :

That you cannot post estimates into the chart if owners decide to go forward with treatment.

Intuitive and Easy to Use Software

Commentaires : It's definitely a step up from any other software I've used.

Avantages :

Ezyvet streamlines and automates a lot of items that aren't addressed in other software and takes a huge burden off the clinic staff so we can be much more functionally useful to patients.

Inconvénients :

There are some places where change logs aren't in place, in particular prescription requests that could be added for easier tracking. Also the memo system does leave something to be desired. There's a lot of instances of lost communications since the reply option doesn't actually group the messages, so we end up with a lot of redundancy in associates addressing issues or looking for answers that have already been resolved.
