Commentaires : I am a Service Coordinator/Dispatcher for a large forklift service company. I have customers that need immediate service and by utilizing the GPS tool, I can see what technician I have closest to the customer and be able provide a realistic arrival time.

Avantages :

The ease of use. I open it when I get in to the office and it stays open all day. I can dispatch a technician based on who is closet, which is my favorite feature of GPS Insight

Inconvénients :

When running a report based on days, it is hard to select the specific days you want without it highlighting a range. Could be a user issue. I would like to see a 'traffic' feature built in as real-time so I could re-route when needed.

GPS Review

Commentaires : Overall, this software is the best I have worked with. Gives you complete picture of your fleet.

Avantages :

I love everything about this software. No Matter how big your fleet is or how small, this is a complete tracking software that is easy to use .

Inconvénients :

Learning it is the only negative I see, It would be great to watch videos of how things work. Sometimes I get lost when I am looking for a report to run.

Use Anyone But GPS Insight

Commentaires : I would NOT recommend GPS Insight to anyone for many reasons. First and foremost, the lack of communication with their customers is unbelievable. I call and call, but I cannot speak to a representative. I leave a voicemail and pray for a return call that may or may not come. Forget about email. If I get an email response within a week, I consider that a “win.” Second, I’ve been trying since August to resolve issues with equipment. This is December. When I was told I had to pay to replace units that went out due to technological failure on the part of GPS Insight, I knew it was time to find coverage elsewhere. Third, canceling service with this company is a nightmare. I am thankful that I DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. I continue to receive invoices for rental units I returned AND they (acknowledged they) received 2 months ago. I sent shipping tracking numbers 4 TIMES to ensure they didn’t charge my card (on file) for units I returned. However, they did charge my card (on file) for units I returned. After I reported fraud to my bank, they finally refunded those charges last month. Today, I received yet another invoice for the units I returned to GPS Insight 2 months ago. I find this entire situation extremely frustrating and just plain sad. Initially, the service from GPS Insight was great. In fact, I was a customer for nearly 5 years. However, I have discovered there are many companies with much better customer service. Do yourself a favor and use one of them instead of GPS Insight, un

Avantages :

When the units were working, we used it solely for tracking GPS in our trucks.

Inconvénients :

Poor customer service, no communication, they expect you to pay to replace their units that are broke, fraudulent charges on cards (on file) after units have been returned.

Avantages :

The system is very user friendly. The reports and alerts make my job much easier.

Inconvénients :

The new ELD system is not as good as the old one. From an admin side the system is hard to use. It is not user friendly. It is missing a lot of things that i used daily with the old system. The fact that GPS Insight and the ELD system are not linked with the ability to alert me with driver hours and emails for issues found during a pretrip is an issue. The drivers do not have a web portal that they can use for on duty not driving hours or to make sure that the system has logged them out correctly. i have had drivers not get logged out correctly and have been stuck in on duty not driving for an entire night. They have come in the next morning and logged out and called me to correct the issue. the system will only allow me to put them in sleeper berth not off duty. it gives you an error that you cant have the same status back to back. This is technically falsifying a log. The new system is bare bones and needs work

Commentaires : Started out with a salesperson, then an install person/contact, then was passed onto a support person and it has been been very easy and hassle free from beginning to end.

Avantages :

The ease of use and convience of the installation of equipment

Inconvénients :

Not very techy but the support folks are very patient with us.

GPS insite and why we left

Avantages :

It was simple to install and the online site was very basic

Inconvénients :

It was not ready for departments and cost centers it was not easy to setup the manager and location logins.

I use it for my fleet, I help install the units and do the tracking from the software.

Commentaires : I love the software, there hasn't been a time where I was disappointed in it. I've been using the software for about 5 years now and I think its a great program and that more people should be using it.

Avantages :

I enjoy using it. Its easy to get used to once you have figured out where everything is. I haven't learned everything on it yet but I learn new things about the software everyday that helps with our fleet in tracking.

Avantages :

Good visibility and tracking of fleet. Very flexible customization with way points, alerts via SMS/email, etc. Use historical mapping for accident investigations, order delivery verification, etc.

Inconvénients :

Uninstalling and reinstalling the units when we upgraded trucks was a little bit of work but it's a once/7 year process so not that bad.

GPS Insight has been a very good company to work with.

Commentaires : Resource location and management.

Avantages :

Provides a high level of visibility to resources, ease of use within the portal and provides a very clear and understandable means of resource management.

Inconvénients :

There isn't anything in specific that can be pointed out at this time. GPSI has been very responsive to any suggestions or changes that have been pointed out to make the portal and it's equipment easy and responsive to use.

Excellent full service product!

Avantages :

Getting really accurate data info, like speed, idle time, start, stop, maps, history just about everything you can think of, including vehicle maintenance.

Inconvénients :

Can be a little difficult to use the reports section

We use this for our fleet at work and it helps with keeping up with the trucks.

Avantages :

We can let our customers know where the trucks are at all times, since we are a delivery company. This also helps with letting the drivers know where they will be delivering to if they cannot find a jobsite.

Inconvénients :

It is hard to maneuver around when you are trying to do the mileage and the maintenance on the vehicles. There are too many screens that have the same features.

Commentaires : OVERALL IT PROVIDES A GOOD SNAP SHOT FOR MANAGING DELIVERY VEHICLE COSTS AND IDENTIFYING COST MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES. IT CAN ALSO HELP TO INDENTIFY HABITUAL OFFENDERS AND PREVENT PROBLEMS BECOMING BIG ISSUES IN THE FUTURE.

Avantages :

THIS SOFTWARE MAKES IT EASY TO TRACK EVERYTHING TO DO WITH OUR DELIVERY VEHICLES FROM IDLE TIMES IN THE WINTER TO DRIVING SPEEDS TO SETTING LOCATIONS OUR DRIVERS SHOULD OR SHOULDN'T BE AT.

Inconvénients :

THERE IS A SMALL TIME DELAY IN THE SOFTWARE WHICH WHEN WE ARE USED TO EVERYTHING BEING IN REAL TIME TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO.

Customer Support has always been available and always provided service.

Commentaires : Our drivers are more likely to maintain a safe speed knowing the GPS units are installed.

Avantages :

The software is easy to use and the most efficient. Easy to keep track of vehicles and vehicle usage.

Inconvénients :

At first I thought it was difficult to install, but the installers took care of everything. We tried to install ourselves at first, but realize it is more efficient to have the installers do it.

Avantages :

Zone setup allows our POS system to mark orders as delivered when the truck returns automatically Truck maintenance and mileage may be tracked by the office without having to chase down a truck to get a mileage report. Messaging direct to the GPS unit on the dashboard.

Inconvénients :

Somewhat cumbersome to set up, but once you are learning it things flow fast.

GPS Insight makes it easy to track fleets and manage vehicle maintenance.

Commentaires : This software is essential to managing our fleets and managing oil changes/maintenance.

Avantages :

It is extremely easy to use and there are more features than any other GPS tracking companies out there. There are so many helpful training articles and customer support is always available.

Inconvénients :

The only thing it doesn't do is integrate with our scheduling/invoicing software-Service Titan. I am certain our other franchises would use GPS Insight if they offered this feature.

Easiest instilation I have ever installed in a truck

Commentaires : At the end of each month I have all the states and all the routes and all miles traveled in each state.This makes it so easy to do the the IFTA reports each quarter for my home base plates
that is needed to be filed.

Avantages :

I like the accuracy of the GPS,always know where a truck is ,routes direction truck speed and at the end of the month the states traveled,the routes and the miles are emailed to me.

Commentaires : Giving our customers faster service and less travel time.

Avantages :

This gives us the ability to dispatch the right tech who is in the area of need. We have found that using this helps our customer get better service from us and helps us perform more jobs in one day.

Inconvénients :

haven't had any issues with the system or software.

Works great

Avantages :

We have multiple drivers so this makes it easy to keep up with where they are. It is great when a customer calls and needs something and all I have to do is pull up the GPS and see who is closer to get to them.

Inconvénients :

It can be somewhat pricey, although worth every penny. And the trackers tend to come unplugged quite often.

Avantages :

the software is easy to use and maintain. I like the up to date tracking of the trucks and being able to collect data.

Inconvénients :

I have worked other gps tracking and communication devices and services before. the customer service that I have received is far above any other. the issues we had with the system is being worked on.

Fleet GPS

Commentaires : Our employees know they are being monitored 24/7 so they do the right thing with very little coaching from management.

Avantages :

I like the ability to set specific parameters for vehicle speed. The drivers know we get alerts when they are speeding so they tend to keep it within the speed limit.

Inconvénients :

We have had issues setting up specific alerts for when a vehicle enters a certain location. For some reason we do not get those alerts.

Ease of use easy to move around and then reports are easy to generate.

Inconvénients :

Do not like the activity reports, seems there would be an easier way to write them it's difficult for a customer to understand whose's disputing a technicians time.

Good experience with the company

Avantages :

I like the ease of use. A lot of information at your finger tips and helps us keep our trucks on schedule and maintained.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the trackers lose service and then we have to call to have the driver reset the device. It can be inconvient for them when they are on the road.

Commentaires : Sales staff and technical staff have been great, provide a seamless integration of the product into our daily routine. Always available to answer questions.

Avantages :

Easy to implement software into our day to day operations. Allows management to track technicians and find where money is being wasted from over idling, speeding, etc.

Inconvénients :

Cant think of anything negative to say about product.

GPS soution is ok, ELD is horrible

Commentaires : GPS Insight provides accurate vehicle tracking solution but falls short when it comes to ELD and in-dash cameras that other systems loffer. For the price it's ok. Technical support, the few times I reached out to them for problems with a few reports were not very helpful.

Avantages :

The GPS functionality is pretty good, especially the reporting capabilities and the open API which allows connection to other systems.

Inconvénients :

The ELD implementation was a complete failure due to hardware glitches and a software platform that we not ready for daily use. Drivers and our Dispatch team had a very difficult time understanding/using the system.

Units seem to track very well

Commentaires : Vehicle locations

Avantages :

Units are easy to install on new vehicles, just plug in. Units capture usable location information and information on performance of vehicles.

Inconvénients :

On older vehicles, fuses blow easily causing the unit to go out, because the unit is attached to obd connector in cigarette lighter.
