Avantages :

You can access money, registers, classes all in one place. The customer support is also great and they’re very attentive.

Inconvénients :

Also, not automatically charging a registration fee to dancers who are enrolling in new classes is not ideal and causes me to loose money yearly.

It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Commentaires : Overall my experience has been positive. Jackrabbit is expensive, but they seem to offer the most features for a complex dance school. One way or another we can find what we need through Jackrabbit

Avantages :

What I like most about this software is the customer service. This is a robust and complex system that has evolved spectacularly over the 10+ years that I have used it. There are many features that can be confusing at first. But the customer service team is always ready to help and in a way that makes it easy to understand and replicate on my own later.

Inconvénients :

One thing that is missing is a retail feature for online sales. They have implemented a retail feature that can be done in person. But I would love to be able to sell our uniforms on our website through Jackrabbit. I would also love to see the email/communications features made more robust. It would be nice to know who is opening our emails and who is not.

The best software for customer support

Commentaires : I am so happy that I acquired the Jackrabbit software for my dance studio. Enrollment, taking payments, tracking staff payroll, attendance and so many other features, have saved me valuable time. My office staff can now handle things much more confidently without me which means I can put my attention to my students. My studio is more profitable, my records more accurate and very importantly, I can access this information from any computer or my phone!

Avantages :

Changing software is always difficult and usually intimidating. The most important feature is good customer support! From the very beginning, the support team has made me feel at ease and confident. When I have a question, there are several ways to get an answer in Jackrabbit. I appreciate being able to get help in depth and sometimes very quickly. This also gives me confidence to keep applying more of the features to my business.

Inconvénients :

The discounts that I offer seem to pose a problem for JR. I have had differing opinions from support members as to how to handle this. I still have to put more manual hours in posting tuition than I would like. I also wish that the Costume Management feature was a bit more friendly. The absolute worst thing about JR is that their "per student fee" includes students from a family that are no longer current students. I wish they would let me put all past students in a lead file and not just the whole family.

Jackrabbit is an effective software for Dance Studios

Commentaires : Customer service is top notch and second to none. I am never afraid to ask for help. Feel that at time suggestions for software updates get pushed back despite many clients asking for these changes. Overall, highly recommend the software for businesses like ours. The pros far outlays the cons.

Avantages :

Online registration and Parent Portal services revolutionized our business. Cut down on administrative paperwork by hundreds of hours a year.

Inconvénients :

Need a better system for drop-in class passes, quicker set up for booking private lessons in the same time slot every week but with different people, would prefer an easier method of differentiating between monthly charges and one time payment classes so that administratively we could batch fees quicker every month. Better organization of email templates. Ability for teachers to place notes on accounts that are unseen by parents while in the Staff portal.

Commentaires : I think Jackrabbit solves my auto-billing issues, allows my customers to pay online at their leisure, and makes my collection process much smoother.

Avantages :

I like how simple the program is. It is customizable for my use but also takes the guesswork out of daily tasks. The customer service is spot-on and always willing to help.

Inconvénients :

I really wish there was an online store option where my customers could purchase basic things like tickets or studio apparel on the app. It would make life much easier.

Commentaires : Jackrabbit has been great and has made my business much more efficient. It has saved me a lot of time, and made collections and communication much easier.

Avantages :

What I like most about this software is how it has made my business communication and payment collection easy and fast.

Inconvénients :

What I like least is the processing time for online payments. It can take 8-10 days for processing which just doesn't make sense in our age of technology. There are also a lot of features that could be updated for example, adding pronouns and some features I find unnecessary.

Commentaires : consistent. They provide opportunity for feedback and conversation. Offer live or in-person set-up and software training so businesses can operate independently

Multiple features and ability to handle a large amount of clientele information securely

Inconvénients :

Analytic features were lacking from the previous software used - Where clients are from to create more targeted marketing. Not being able to see easily who is missing each evening without running daily reports. Some features I do to use fully due to the report or printing layout

Avantages :

Recital feature, ability to send class schedules to families

Inconvénients :

The inability to enter “items” into the store that allows for multiple sizes under one product number. I have several sizes of tights, currently I have to enter each one separately which is time consuming considering that I have a store full of different sizes and styles. Square allows for me to enter one item number and has subcategories for sizes that allow for tracking of items.

Avantages :

I never knew my job could get so easy so quickly. Since using jackrabbit and realizing that everything can be stored in one place and when one piece of information changes due to an edit, the site changes it everywhere throughout, is incredibly helpful! I absolutely love how prompt and easy it is to get a hold of someone if I need help with a feature, honestly so amazing. Everything looks organized and is easy to access and I couldn’t be more thankful! I love Jack rabbit!

Inconvénients :

there are a few limitations within it that I have suggested and have been told might change in the future which is pretty cool! Mostly it does everything I want it to!

Commentaires : Jackrabbit has made Studio Management a breeze. I was not already very familiar with the dance studio industry, so having Jackrabbit on my side to manage the day-to-day has been hugely beneficial.

Avantages :

Their customer service is the best. I have only ever had friendly and helpful responses, and their response time is always quick. Jackrabbit was quick and easy to get up and running. The dashboards make it easy to start using right away, without having to know everything about it. In only few weeks we were of creating classes, entering students, enrolling classes. The reporting is also very deep, we are only just getting to know what all it offers.

Inconvénients :

There have been a couple of very small features that I could see might improve Jackrabbit, but again this is a way they excel. They have a comprehensive reporting and feature suggestion system so you can see what features other people have recommended and can comment and vote for the ones you like best.

Commentaires : It has been great! We have had few issues with bit of a learning curve from the old software, but it has been good.

The online aspect of it. The ability to have online payments also.

Inconvénients :

I would like to see a place for dance years at our studio. We like to do bench mark exams and keeping track on the student portion would be great!

Commentaires : Overall, it has made my life so much easier and has helped me get my business on the right foot!

Avantages :

I love the functionality of Jackrabbit and how it can store so much information and make it all work together. The parent portal looks professional and you can customize it to your companies logo, branding and welcome messages. My clients have had a fairly easy time using the portal and I love being able to send documents to their classes for them to always view instead of sending 90 emails a year.

Inconvénients :

I really wish there was a way for students to sign up for private lessons or occasional lessons. I wish there was a way to schedule classes to be set up on an every other week basis as well since that is how I run solo classes. I wish fees could automatically charge accounts instead of manually going in and charging accounts.

We love Jackrabbit!

Commentaires : We started with Jackrabbit over 4 years ago. I was brand new to our dance studio and the system was still on a "trial" version. As a new faculty member I knew from the trial that the software was going to take us in the right direction as our studio grew more each season.
In the beginning we started using the most basic features and each year we learn and add more - kindof the way our business grows.
For us, the absolute most-important feature that makes us continue to stay with Jackrabbit over any other software/company/etc is the customer service. We can get help to some of our toughest (and silliest) questions so quickly via email, phone or the Jackrabbit Facebook Community. It really is above and beyond any other company we've dealt with. <3 Thank you Jackrabbit!! <3

Avantages :

-Customization options to suit our business as it grows -integration options into our studio website -CUSTOMER SERVICE any time we need it. (sometimes on holidays/weekends when they aren't supposed to be working!) -Options for tracking both families and staff -The new Staff Portal is great, we're excited to implement it in the new season. -We love the fact that Jackrabbit is constantly growing and improving. There's more! Lots more!

Inconvénients :

-No automatic payments from a bank account for Canadian customers (for us to pay our monthly fees to Jackrabbit) <- this is the one and only reason we've looked at other companies. As a studio that does not run on any credit cards - going to the bank to load a debit-visa type card is very time consuming. -The process to setup accepting payments for online registrations has been very time consuming (we're very-much looking forward to the day we can be done with it!)

JR Customer Service is top-notch, if only their programmers could keep up

Avantages :

JR Customer Service and training representatives are soooo helpful. The chat function within the database is crucial to getting answers, strategies RIGHT away. When the chat function is open, you are never waiting more than 90 seconds for a rep. If the rep needs to work on a solution they will always provide you with a response within 24hrs. It's incredible service compared to other software.

Inconvénients :

Let me get out my programming wishlist... 1. customize the staff portal attendance options, need more than just 'late', 'left-early', 'observed' and why only when they are absent, why isn't there options or even a notes field when they are in attendance? 2. closed dates vs. cancelled classes, there is no way to reflect a single cancelled class without marking the whole class as absent, that messes up the attendance reporting calculation, c'mon now, this one has been asked for for years in the idea portal! 3. google calender, apple calendar, etc. integration - this seems like a no brainer 4. there are no customized or ANY form fields in emails or text messages - why not? again a no brainer 5. private lesson module - it doesn't exists 6. needs to have integration with other cloudbase software, email marketing as an example

Avantages :

Customer service is good. Usually available and most of the reps are patient and committed to helping. Cost effective if you only need to use a few features. Geared towards youth classes.

Inconvénients :

No way to easily manage drop in classes which means I have to pay for a second software program. When you add both of those, it's only a small difference between this system and a more robust one. Also, the software can be glitchy at times and unforgivable at others. Mistakes aren't easily fixable. Need more flexibility or customization.

After 50 years of doing everything manually, Jackrabbit brought us into the 21st century.

Commentaires : Before I was involved, our company tried to set up Jackrabbit. That didn't go very well, mainly because of the time needed to learn how the system works. But, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was convinced that she needed to make the change, and do away with her old manual systems. When I was asked to take on this project, I did invest quite a bit of time. After I understood what I needed to do, the process went well. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is thrilled with the system, and glad that she made the leap. Was it easy? Not at first. Is it easy now? Absolutely.

Avantages :

Jackrabbit simply does what it says it can do. The software is packed with features that we didn't even know we needed. Our families tell us that the parent portal is easy to understand and use, and they are grateful to have improved communication tools. When we were forced to close our studio due to COVID-19, we were impressed with the team at Jackrabbit, who quickly added virtual classroom links. While we would prefer to teach our students in person, Jackrabbit made it possible for our business to survive, and for that we're truly grateful.

Inconvénients :

Before I was brought in to implement Jackrabbit, our company struggled to make sense of the software for over a year. Be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. Take advantage of the support offered by Jackrabbit. They have a responsive team that will be happy to steer you through any challenge you might encounter. That said, be prepared to devote some time to getting your database set up properly. Your work will pay you dividends when everything is running efficiently.

Jackrabbit is overall really great

Commentaires : Paying online is a big one and also being able to send out text and emails to a specific class or the whole studio is great. I love that support is always there to help and never makes me feel stupid, I love the individualized videos they can send to help you with your questions. Another reason we do not use the attendance we because of the way you can only see certain things. I would love an app that is the same as what I see online instead of having to use safari.

Avantages :

I love that parents can register and make payments online and it is easy. I love that we can schedule to send emails out at a later date (sometimes I wish it would schedule further than 90 days.) It is easy to use, when I have to train someone new it is easy to teach them. The team of support is great and always so helpful.

Inconvénients :

I wish you could set text for future like you can emails. I wish the email for future could be longer than 90 days. To be able to have more than one billing contact (we have a lot of split families and both would like to get the statements and still have their separate contact information and not both emails under one name)

A gym owner' s greatest asset

Commentaires : I am a co-owner of a small cheer/Dance/gymnastics gym 150-190 students depending on season. I am mostly the business side of the gym. I have a business/accounting degree. Before Jackrabbit we were keeping track of our payments on a gymnastics specific software(extremely old) program. This was not an online system and could only be accessed from my desktop computer. We took credit card payments thru QuickBooks. It was extremely time consuming to transfer information, payments and to invoice via mail.
I researched both I class pro and jackrabbit extensively. I found that Iclass pro purchased the company that created the software I had been using. For our company Jackrabbit was the best fit.
I was a little apprehensive about getting started but working with the support staff made the transition much easier. I attended a class after about 6 months of using it and that helped me to utilize even more of the facets of this great software. I got ideas from other users that I could take back and use.
When we first announced that our clientele could pay on line the response was mixed. I knew it would be easier for me but had hoped this would be a valuable tool for families as well. We are starting in our third year and most cheer families are totally invested while 50 % of the gymnastics side still pay by check or cash. We do not force them to the online pay as we want them to be comfortable about the process. We are located in a rural area and there are several families that do not have internet.
A few of my favorite features are on line statement and email capability. We have 3 separate components to our gym so it makes it easy to contact one without contacting the others.
I do not invoice a family unless they are late. With Jackrabbit I have had to send very few invoices as our outstanding accounts receivables have gone way down. Our cheer side ( they have 2 accounts each) was generally my problem group. Since we've gone to online pay capability our receivables have become very manageable. 98% of my cheer families pay on line which helps tremendously.
We have just finished our cheer season and out of 68 cheerleaders only one family has an outstanding balance. Best cheer season in the 20 years.
If you are looking for a product to make life easier and your business more productive and manageable this product is it.

Avantages :

We love the parent portal. It makes it so easy for parents to check their fees and transactions. We love that we can email blast everyone at once and create lead files for students who haven’t returned or want to be kept for future. We love that it’s accessible no matter where you are because it’s an online platform.

Inconvénients :

I wish you could archive students rather than families. We have plenty of students who don’t dance with us anymore but their sibling does, we don’t want to delete them as we don’t want to have to re-enter them if they choose to return but also don’t want to keep paying for them to be a student in the system. Which leads me to my biggest con of all- we don’t love that the price of jackrabbit is based on the amount of students you have. Other softwares are a flat rate monthly and are cheaper. Every summer I debate switching. Would also love to be able to create different groups of people to send emails to (competitive, recreational)

Jackrabbit Dance is our favorite

Commentaires : I had a question the other day about customer billing.... I sent in my my query and received an answer very promptly.....and with humor! This is typical of every encounter I’ve had with Jackrabbit Dance. You can tell the employees love their job, it shows in how they respond.

Avantages :

My wife tried other software to run her studio. All were cumbersome and didn’t do what the studio needed. When we switched....we both agreed...Jackrabbit rocks! Parent ease of use, our ease of use, Teachers love it to add info for the class so parents can view in their portal, costume management, helps track competition students and private lessons..... I could go on and on. I believe Jackrabbit is an excellent choice for our dance & tumbling studio.

Inconvénients :

Right now..... I wish there was ‘set it and forget it’ tuition posting. I heard it’s coming within a couple months......Fabulous

Great product with a reasonable pricing!

Commentaires : We originally built our own data base system in the 90's and although it was specific to our company, it was difficult to maintain and upgrade. Jackrabbit is easy to use and the learning curve for new employees is minimal. This is our 43rd year in business and we started with index cards and phone chains. I'm spoiled by the information that I can access immediately with Jackrabbit. I constantly use the reports, both financial and client based, that I can find which helps me to oversee the health of my business.

Avantages :

The best features are the ease of clients to register their students for classes and events with minimum confusion. We also love the transparency of the Parent Portal - parents can easily see the charges that were posted and their balances.

Inconvénients :

The only feature that I find constraining is the necessity to use a 3rd party processor that is allowed by JackRabbit. We found a processor who could provide us with better discounting and pricing, but unfortunately, are unable to contract them.

12 years on jackrabbit and still happy!

Commentaires : We joined Jackrabbit Dance in September of 2005 and are still completely satisfied with their service! Jackrabbit Dance has changed a lot since 2005 and so have we! With all of the upgrades each year by Jackrabbit Dance, we have not had a need to look at other software to meet our needs and run our school. Love their customer service! Especially love that the manual is online and training to run the great features is easily accessible.

Avantages :

The customer service and the fact I can be anywhere in the world and be able to access my business information!

Inconvénients :

The only con I can think of is the charge per active student. I would rather it be a charge per active family instead. By student, we are being charged for every child in a single family.

Great program!

Commentaires : Jackrabbit has really help me streamline my business. I was wasting hours collecting money and answering emails with questions parents can now find for themselves. In the beginning, it was harder to transfer for year to year however. For instance, I didn't know ahead of time the second year that you could delete the old costume measurements for us until we had already begun importing new ones. Last year was the first year I used the skills tab, so I had the same issue there as well. It would really help if there was some kind of end of year checklist to clear out the old and get ready for the new.

Avantages :

Billing and automatic payments are the best.

Inconvénients :

Not knowing how to use it to its fullest potential. I am never able to make a conference when it comes around as I am usually teaching.

Commentaires : We have been able to manage the studio so much better and triple our growth. I am so happy we use Jackrabbit.

Avantages :

The ease and simplicity. I am able to quickly look up families, classes, schedules, and transactions. The parent portal is great and we never get complaints.

Inconvénients :

I do wish they would update the recital feature. We have to create tuition classes for recital.
