Commentaires : Je suis passe de l'As400 a SAP il y a 4 ans. Pour effectuer une recherche beaucoup plus sophistiqué mais simple en même temps. Créer un article et le classer, une fois que l'on maîtrise le.logiciel est finalement assez simple, mais routinier.

Avantages :

Faire de la recherche simple et avancée est aisée.

Inconvénients :

Logiciel assez lourd et compliqué, pas assez souple.

Commentaires : Un support technique très réactif et des solutions évolutives

SAP BusinessObjects offre un ensemble de fonctionnalité complète pour la gestion, l'analyse et la visualisation des données de votre organisation

Inconvénients :

Sap BusinessObjects est plutôt adapter pour les organisations, donc pas accessible aux petites entreprises et projets de petites taille

BusinessObject to simplify complex database analysis

Commentaires : BusinessObject provides great analytical tools for companies to make smarter decisions, it can operate on very large scale databases and it is relatively stable and trouble free. Users can learn it easily and provides many visual tools therefore different and simple to read formats to analyze data and make decisions easier and quicker.

Avantages :

BusinessObjects is capable to run and process databases with millions of records, it has very good visual tools that are easy for users to read and analyze making it a tool easy to learn for users. It is flexible to run on any of the popular databases such as MS-SQL or Oracle and it is a stable software requiring little intervention from system administrators, usually once setup it runs trouble free.

Inconvénients :

It is complex to setup and requires more extensive training for the system administrators to operate it in the background. Also it is an expensive software and requires additional licensing from Oracle or any database developer which then adds more high cost to it.

Makes it easy to build complex queries without knowing SQL, I love it!

Commentaires : I use BusinessObjects every single day, multiple times a day. We are transitioning to start having all reporting come from BO as once the reports are setup and scheduled its "set it and forget it" in many cases. We put a lot of focus on automation and reducing the amount of time spent building custom reports and one-off analyses. So we have built numerous reports to support our sales team, operations teams, vendors, and c-suite that are all easily refreshed and filtered by the users on their own. And our analytics and reporting teams now have time to work on larger scope projects rather than being bogged down by requests.

Avantages :

I love most everything about BusinessObjects. It's a great way for our employees to self-service in many cases as previously they had no way to get access to larger data sets unless they put in a request with analytics. But now our Directors have access to data and reports at their fingertips with minimal training (they don't need an in-depth understanding of databases or SQL queries to use the software).

Inconvénients :

A con that is worth mentioning is that exporting large data sets can be a bit slow. But the ease of use and other benefits definitely outweigh that.

Used this for supply chain reporting and metrics analysis

Avantages :

The best part was the robust enterprise nature of the system. Data quality is controlled centrally by IT and processes and users always know that the data they are getting is good quality and usable. It becomes a single source of truth

Inconvénients :

This product is definitely not user friendly. Takes a lot of IT support to get up and running and often if changes are to be made to existing reports also IT needs to get involved. Plus its very pricey and not meant for smaller businesses

The CRM (Customer Relationship Management) you need

Commentaires : in general SAP is a tool that combines both reliability and performance with a reactive customer support, wide functional coverage and it is rather scalable

Avantages :

The publication of certain financial and logistical information is very fast because all the data is available almost in real time.

Inconvénients :

Management tool requiring a relatively high learning curve

Great tool, reliable architecture and very useful

Commentaires : In space, the area that I address is the customer service through this fantastic tool we can keep a real-time control of the requests for services from our customers, assigning numbers of events that link the whole process with the areas involved, from that the service request is made until it ends with the invoicing process of it.

Avantages :

The scope advantages and the ability to link the data available in our organization by SAP BusinessObjects has allowed us to optimize the administrative and operational processes in a way that allows us to access the correct information.

Inconvénients :

I do not have negative opinions of the tool, within the organization has been very useful the use of it.

Everythink about data

Commentaires : It is a tool that facilitates the management of all past or future data and the follow-up of KPI at every level. It will help companies make data-driven decisions and provide significant competitive advantage.

Avantages :

We use SAP BusinessObjects in order to track both operational and strategic company KPI's. The dashboards are very easy to customize. BI tool is very helpful in order to make forecasts.

Inconvénients :

Data export is not offered. Dashboards are really helpful. But sometimes user can need to export the data in excel form.

SAP BO - Web Intelligence

Commentaires : Overall experience has been good. It can host a lot of reports which can be scheduled for month end reporting. Automated this application using automation anywhere and reaped a lot of benefits.

Avantages :

I love the scheduling feature of the reports wherein you can easily schedule reports to be executed on a particular day.

Inconvénients :

Reports with data more than 1 lakh rows takes a lot of time and even crashes sometimes

SAP Business Objects Intelligience

Commentaires : SAP Business object is quite usefull follow up tool to track KPIs

Avantages :

KPI review is showing daily life of performance linked to IOT activities in the Industry 4.0 times

Inconvénients :

Due to re-planning of tasks , targets would be change in the operation. Follow up of changes and tracking of trend must be more visible with reasons why target is changed and until when old target was valid.

Good product, but poor support

Commentaires : The applications is good and very flexible. But there is a very complicated licencing system, much like that of Oracle. Be sure that you get proper advice from SAP of your SAP Partner.

Avantages :

Business Objects has many capabilities, for me, the ease of publication of reports is the most important.

Inconvénients :

SAP is a large company, if you work for a relatively small company (700 people), then you have to go through a partner. The quality of these partners varies.

Its has really good BI suite

Commentaires : Overall experience is good, main things is all five modules to taken care.

Avantages :

The Best 5 main modules : 1. Payable Accounts 2.Ledger 3.Cash Management 4.Assets generally Fixed. 5.Receivable Accounts

It has no such least like thing but, takes more time in database updates.

BOBJ is a good option for complex data analysis

Commentaires : Pros : Complete product from Giant Vendor and has a great Echo system, Good for Complex/Huge Data Analysis models, Mass Publishing is a great advantage with this Product as i don't see this much of handy with any other Front end products, Robust model, With Design Studio and Lumira it has gain more strength in the BI Market, Great product to integrate with any kind business model, Cons:

Possibility to schedule a report with different parameter and send it by mail to different user. You can send a report in many format (xlsx, Pdf, etc) Triggers features when you schedule a report

Inconvénients :

Administration is not easy, many services to check every day. Consume a lot of Memory and CPU. In case of crash, the reinstallation is very difficult and too long.

Excellent software for data analysis

Commentaires : Overall, really great product used by many international banks.

This software is excellent to use for data analytics, to create graphs, tables, and overall financial reporting.

Inconvénients :

The software is locking a really good support team to address user's issues. The 24 hours support is necessary

Good tool for developing reports, but not quite nimble enough

Avantages :

The overall architecture of BO XI (with UDT v14.2.7.3130) is intuitive to understand. Most of my experience, however, has been using it with derived tables for more flexibility in the clinical trial space. This is one of the features that I like because it allows me to not only deliver custom reports but also standardized reports that integrate data from different sources.

Inconvénients :

I think that BO's lack of OLAP functionality could use some beefing up. In my company, it's usually BO, Spotfire or Tableau that are used for reporting. If BO had OLAP capabilities, processes within the company that rely heavily on other tools may also change to account for that.

Great tool for big data analysis, visualization, and automation.

Commentaires : It frees up time

Avantages :

Every day I learn something new about the software and I'm always blown away but the capabilities. I dont know that I can pick out one thing I like most although a big one is how it allows me to take reports that to refresh previously would take quite a fair length of time but now that I have built the same reports in Business Objects I have automated most, if not all, of them. And many are even emailed to me at a time which I've scheduled so now that the reports are built, all I do is nothing. Just wait for them to be sent to my email inbox.

Inconvénients :

I wish there was an easy way to have my scheduled reports send to SharePoint (if there is a way please let me know);

SAP Review

Commentaires : SAP offers a wide array of capabilities. I love how I can track my inventory, my tickets, and my time spent on work orders both service and request. I would definitely recommend this product although there is a bit of a learning curve.

Avantages :

SAP is a very powerful business tool. I can't speak to some of the features, but after getting it setup, it is awesome for using as a ticketing system. It makes it easy to track both completed and non-completed tickets. My favorite thing about SAP is that it allows you to seamlessly track inventory. It can also be used to move inventory around depending on how it is setup. I also love how everything can be simply exported from SAP into Excel.

Inconvénients :

There is a bit of a learning curve for this software. It does take a while to get use to using.

Cost Effective Simple Reporting Tool

Commentaires : Overall I am having a mixed feeling with respect to Business Object Intelligence. I am neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.

Avantages :

In Business Objects the way you can build Universe and expose that as a self service tool for users to build their own reports gives it a cutting edge compared to other reporting tools. Being a SAP tool the customer support is good and it integrates well with other cloud platforms.

Inconvénients :

The look and feel is not that great and it cannot match the dashboard features which are present in other reporting tools like for example Tableau.

Lots of layers

Commentaires : I've used this platform for years and am proficient at it and because of this I'm a fan.

Avantages :

SAP in our business of distribution and logistics is very complex and can gather a mass of data. It excels at drilling down to fine detail and tracking of inventory and sales down to number of turns and we use all of this data to drive our business. For this it is a great platform.

Inconvénients :

Because of it's many layers and it's complexity it creates an environment where it can be cumbersome to create orders and quotes.

Data minded Accounting Software

Commentaires : We no longer need auditors to create our own CAFR for us, the cost savings is immense, able to provide quick budget reports to end-users

Avantages :

Once you know how to utilize the system, the data and information you can obtain and reports that you can set up are endless

Inconvénients :

Very challenging for non-accounting minded folks to understand, difficult for beginners to use without lots of support, customer service is non-existent

SQL, BI, Reporting&Analytics

Avantages :

You have options to upgrade, SAP Lumira is the next amazing product to always upgrade to when you are ready for the next level of analytics and graphical representation of your data

Inconvénients :

SAP BI itself is still stagnant in its improvements, sticking on to the traditional functionalities of the product, it has a huge gap between its next level of reporting.

SAP Business Objects Helping Us Gain Visibility and Transparency

Avantages :

In my opinion, not all SAP BO offerings are equal, but several are very useful. The offerings we have chosen to utilize will, without doubt, help us to transform our business. The offerings I find most useful for helping our field personnel and leadership get a better understanding of their environment are Lumira, Crystal Reports, Information Design Tool and HANA Studio. The Implementation of HANA is critical for reaching the next level of performance as well. SAP has very good customer service and the free education and learning resources are very useful.

Inconvénients :

As with any new product there are bugs and errors. I have been frustrated at times with the newer software and sometimes even the more mature software can be frustrating.

Business Objects

Commentaires : I use Business Objects every day and get the data I need.

Avantages :

This product give us the ability to pull reports with ease. Once you have successfully composed a report, you are able to build on the structure as needed.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes finding a field can be difficult if you are not sure what exactly you are looking for. With time, this gets easier.
