Le meilleur pour nos besoins

Avantages :

Création de parcours utilisateurs "flexibles" (vous renseignez des clics, des complétions de champs, via sélecteurs CSS/XPath) qui permettent de simuler un check difficile à automatiser autrement. Le système d'alertes et d'escalation en cas de problème non résolu est satisfaisant! La prise en main côté administrateur n'est pas intuitive mais pas sorcière non-plus, côté utilisateur (les supports IT à qui vous envoyez les alertes) c'est extrêmement simple : un lien avec un bouton sur lequel ils cliquent pour avoir un paquet de détails sur l'erreur rencontrée.

Inconvénients :

Il y a déjà un tas de fonctionnalités avancées que je n'utilise pas, mais bien évidemment il manque toujours des petites spécificités (du genre les roulements d'astreintes qui propose uniquement des roulements linéaires alors que mes astreintes sont plus chaotiques), mais là c'est vraiment parce que l'on me demande un point négatif.

Satisfaisant

Avantages :

Nous pouvons être précis dans les sondes mise en place et nous apprécions les API permettant d'interfacer nos outils internes avec la gestion des sondes uptrends

Inconvénients :

Il est difficile de paramétrer en profondeur pour vérifier la disponibilité de certaines fonctions de nos logicielles au delà de la présentation web classique

Mais comment diriger un vrai site sans avoir ce monitoring ?

Avantages :

Inconvénients :

Sur leur tableau de bords, Pas de possibilité d'avoir des vues d'alertes filtré d'après des critères de performance ( ex : test avec délai de réponses inférieure à 2000ms).. Obligé de passer par des exports Excel.

Avantages :

Reporting basiques simples à mettre en place APIs simples et utiles

Inconvénients :

Feature requests en attentes depuis plus de 6 mois Les IPs des sondes changent régulièrement, avec des APIs pour suivre ces changements serait bien venue

Solution complémentaire de monitoring fonctionnel

Avantages :

La capacité à enregistrer simplement des scénarios pour créer des sondes fonctionnelles

Inconvénients :

La création et la manipulation des dashboards pourrait être plus intuitive

Bilan de 3 ans d'utilisation

Commentaires : Ce produit "ne fait pas tout" mais il apporte des services complémentaires appréciable pour mesurer et suivre la qualité de service de nos projets

Awesome monitoring tool

Commentaires : Would definitely recommend Uptrends for anyone looking to have a constant monitor for their websites.

Avantages :

Uptrends provides all the monitoring tools which we needed. Compared to similar products available elsewhere, the more precise capabilities of Uptrends helped us choose it. Support of custom resolutions and multi-location support is a great bonus.

Inconvénients :

It would be good to have a wider range of mobile device/ browser combinations. Variable iOS or Android versions and device combinations would be a welcome addition. Different resolutions would also be useful.

Perfect in so many Ways

Commentaires : My business sets up local and wide area networks for clients. The most pressing business requirement was to proactively monitor all client networks to keep my finger on the pulse of each network's performance. This way if there is an issue, many times I can call my client to discuss the resolution before they know they have a problem. The Uptrends solution provided the capabilities I needed (and more) to protect my business from having unhappy clients.

Avantages :

Both extensive Monitoring and real-time Alerts make Uptrends ideal to manage small, medium, and large-scale networks. The product scales up or down to best fit the business and technical needs.

Inconvénients :

There were some improvements that would make building Dashboards easier. I brought those to Uptrends and they added them to their queue of future developments. They actively want to make the product better, and they want to serve their Customers. The bottom line is they care and get it.

Unfair business practices - READ THE FINE PRINT

Avantages :

Works overall. Does as advertized and easy to use

Inconvénients :

We had a yearly contract with Uptrends. I attempted to cancel it several days before the expiry and they told me there is a 3-month notice period and refused to cancel. I have not seen any SaaS company that needs a 3-month notice period, so be aware before signing up. These guys are running a scam with their cancellation policy.

Site monitoring for hosted environments

Commentaires : overall a very positive experience and I would implement it again. It's been instrumental in monitoring of commercial sites

Avantages :

easy to setup. reasonable prices. very good support

Inconvénients :

The sales people used to be aggressive. Not really in a negative way, but regularly trying to sell more. That's changed since the acquisition.

Excellent Product for Pinpointing Issues

Commentaires : Great customer support. They reach out regularly to make sure we are happy. Good communicators, flexible business solutions.

Avantages :

We love the ability to instantly prove where problems are with connectivity. The feature of monitoring from multiple checkpoints is invaluable to isolating network issues. The auto traceroute, log retention, reporting and integration with other tools is great.

Inconvénients :

We would have liked the ability to import our monitoring targets from CSV or some other automated method. Minor issue.

Commentaires : Uptrends provides us with an important and independent measure of our site health, and we rely on it for instant reports when our website is unresponsive so that we can take action immediately.

Avantages :

The wide range of monitoring locations, and the fallback to a different location on failure - this means we don't get false positives.

Inconvénients :

We haven't had any issues, it has been reliable and provides a rich set of features.

Commentaires : With uptrend I can increase the price of my products. The increase has helped in the growth of my business.

Avantages :

The high swing low and the high swing high makes it easy to predict the products price. The higher the cost, the better for my website. I love it because of its potential reward relative to risk.

Inconvénients :

It is very difficult to determine the cause of an uptrend since it consists of High and low swings and can affect a business either positively or negatively

Avantages :

Easy to use and fast implemented SaaS monitoring system. Wide range of API usage to integrate in monitoring landscapes.

The graphical interface is a bit old fashioned. AAD SSO capabilities would be great to ease the management of operators

Commentaires : Very positive. We not only use it to monitor the health of our applications but it also helps us when investigating performance issues.

Avantages :

It is easy to use. Scenarios are easily created and managed. It also covers the possibility to monitor the entire end-to-end solution

Inconvénients :

I think the user management part can be improved. Next to that, the timeframes to monitor are not easily defined and implemented. Sometimes you just want to snooze your alerting (not your monitoring).

Best Monitoring Suite Out There

Commentaires : Our experience using Uptrends has been excellent. Their deep suite of tools enabled us to pin point performance issues that we'd been unable to identify with other tools.

Avantages :

From the basic uptime alerts, extensive monitoring capabilities (including uptime, transactional and API), and detailed customizable reporting, to the ease of use and great scalability, there's a lot that we love about these tools. In cases of more complex challenges, the support team is very receptive and proactive in helping us find answers. Also appreciated are the periodic check ins to ensure we're getting the most out of the product.

Inconvénients :

No complaints here! Uptrends is a robust, mature tool suite that's helped us resolve issues and constantly improve application performance.

Great Word wide Monitoring System

Avantages :

- Very easy to create Monitoring Checks- A lot of third party integrations- personalization of the dashboard- Escalation levels

Inconvénients :

-Difficult or not clear to add Alert/Notification to a Monitoring check

Great product and fantastic service

Commentaires : We've been able to get better visibility and transparency of performance and status of all our products plus very easily share this to a wider team. I don't think we've had any bugs or issues with the product so that is a plus.

Avantages :

It is easy to use, fast to learn, and customer support is probably among the best of any software company I've ever dealt with.

Inconvénients :

Troubleshooting the monitors during setup can be tricky, but support is usually able to help with fixes or suggestions pretty quickly.

Commentaires : The product alerts if there is an issue. Reporting features has help in showing ROI. Realtime alerts give me a piece of mind knowing that the network is constantly being monitored

The interface and backoffice are intuitive and easy to use. You can simply expand on your initial setup. The solution is stable.

The filtering of the uptrends traffic from Google Analytics can take some time and needs to be reviewed periodically.
