Commentaires : My overall experience with Marketo Marketing Automation is satisfactory. I am using it daily for marketing automation for different marketing campaigns for different team members and I found this platform very helpful and amazing. My experience with their dashboards and reports features are mindblowing and this is the best thing about this tool.

Avantages :

I like almost everything about this amazing marketing automation tool. Some of the things that I like most about it is the following: 1. Marketo customer support team is very responsive and always available to help, this is something I like the most. 2. Marketo's simple and easy user interface is amazing and very easy to use. This is the second thing that I like about it. 3. Marketo's amazing dashboards and reports features are the 3rd things that I like most about it. It is very informatics.

Inconvénients :

I want to share one thing that I dislike about it and that is Marketo is a little bit expensive compared to other tool but I must say that it is worth to spend on it.

Commentaires : I think it’s a great software for campaign management and market automation but it’s really very expensive. In the past it has helped us generate higher cart conversions. It’s UI/UX is also very professional and one might get geeked out.

Inconvénients :

The cons regarding it are -- For certain firms, especially small and medium-sized ones, Adobe Marketo is really expensive. Just like other Adobe products.- Some people may find Adobe Marketo difficult to understand and operate, especially if they have no prior experience with marketing automation. - For some companies with particular requirements, Adobe Marketo's lack of all marketable features could be a drawback. - A business that relies too heavily on Adobe Marketo risks becoming reliant on it and losing the capacity to manage marketing campaigns on its own. - Integration issues may arise because Adobe Marketo may not be compatible with certain data management and marketing platforms.

Commentaires : Marketo is the platform that powers our entire marketing campaigns and performance. It allows us to understand the impact marketing is having on overall bottom line.

Avantages :

It's incredibly robust, so you're able to manage the entiretly of your marketing campaigns within Marketo: audience creation, lead scoring, emails, landing pages, content management, automation and sync to salesforce. Bizible ensures everything a prospect or customer does is tracked in Salesforce so we understand the impact marketing has on revenue.

Inconvénients :

It's clunky because it's legacy. It's not an easy tool to navigate or manage. It requires coding to build landing pages and their templates aren't great (pro-tip: use Unbounce and connect to Marketo). Because Marketo is so robust, when you build automation and audiences and campaigns, you can get overwhelmed and lost.

Marketing strategies with great impact on our sales.

Commentaires : Marketo Engage has allowed us to automate the different advertising campaigns focusing on the different needs of our clients, we have improved the acquisition of new clients and increased sales, we have been using it for 3 years and we have intensified the positive results with great automation in marketing campaigns.

Avantages :

Marketo Engage is easy to understand software, I really like being able to devise different marketing strategies by segmentation, marketing campaigns are automated, which generates productivity and a greater increase in sales and customers. The collection of customer data is very effective, since based on that we can devise better advertising campaigns and adapt to the needs of customers, it is a highly customizable software.

Inconvénients :

The price is a drawback for small businesses, but it is the best software to improve marketing strategies in the short term. For large companies, price is not an issue. Marketo Engage capabilities positively increase sales and customers.

This feature is rare in this genre of advertising and helps stand Marketo Engage from its competitors, as will it help your product be advertised in its own unique and memorable way. The AI also helps targets aspects of advertising it considers needs improving and is capable of learning as it goes along, spotting customer trends and clickthrough rate trends. The analytics Marketo can offer also mirror conventional analytics with clickthrough rate and overall views being shown in a clear and simple way for manual improvements to advertising.

Inconvénients :

Marketo Engage excels in its AI component. As a result, it is necessary to give the application time to acclimatise to your advertisement style and efficacy. The AI does work best after around 1-2 weeks and so you may not see many effects before then. In order to get the best efficiency, it is also recommended that you use a wide range of Adobe products which could require some business restructuring.

Marketo does a decent job with marketing campaigns; lackluster on the integrations and customization

Commentaires : Moderately positive; for smaller companies on a marketing budget who don't need more than email campaigns, this will work well for you. If you run an enterprise business who needs more, I suggest upgrading to Eloqua

Avantages :

It was easy to setup and maintain our marketing campaigns; landing pages were customizable for the most part, and the tracking codes were easy to install and events triggered as promised. Cost is substantially less than premium marketing software, so that's a selling point.

Inconvénients :

We migrated from Oracle/Eloqua, so we already had campaigns that we used. It was a total chore working with their teams to get everything carried over correctly (we never actually got every object, we had to re-create most). Most of the customization with batch jobs and custom fields didn't work as described in their documentation, and I got the feeling that they don't entertain a lot of big fish in the pond--maybe this has changed?

Inconvénients :

The user interface was among the aspects of Marketo Engage that I disliked the most. It had a clumsy, disorganized feeling. It was also challenging to find what I was looking for quickly due to the navigation's slight complication. In addition, it was difficult to modify reports and dashboards, and the analytics and reporting features were not as extensive as I had planned.

Avantages :

Marketo is robust and can be configured to meet most business cases. It integrates well with many systems/services. For example, Marketo integrates better with Salesforce than Salesforce Marketing Cloud. There is a solid user group/community. Things like Content AI and Web Personalization take personalization across your digital marketing to the next level. Training is required to use a lot of features.

Inconvénients :

You have to build your own preference center. This doesn't come out-of-the-box. UI is bad, and Marketo Sky will help fix this, but it's taking forever for Marketo Sky to get to a point where I can actually use it. Many features do cost extra but you can pick and choose. Landing page templating is lacking without a dedicated devloper.

Strong Platform for B2B Marketing

Commentaires : I have helped clients (and our own internal org) plan, automate and execute their marketing with Marketo for over 6 years. During this time, I have also worked with other B2B and B2C Marketing Automation tools and find Marketo to the right combination of powerful, relatively easy to use (you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to master) and flexible.

Avantages :

It is a good balance of standard features and the ability to customize .

Inconvénients :

If you need to change your native CRM connection, you have to migrate to a new instance, which is usually very costly and time-consuming.

Commentaires : We implement and optimize Marketo (and several other platforms) on behalf of our clients and have found Marketo a scalable solution for b2b companies with more than 100 employees. Anything less employee wise requires a lesser tool. This is the best tool for the mid-market segment in our experiences.

Best-in-class Marketing Automation Solution

Avantages :

Marketo is the "Porsche with a manual transmission" of marketing automation platforms. It's full of cool features and is incredibly powerful. The strengths: 1) Workflow flexibility that is unmatched by other platforms. Building complex data management, lead scoring, and organizational processes (such as lead routing) is very achievable in Marketo. They basically give you every function they can possibly code and let their customers piece them together as they like (more on this in #7). 2) The engagement programs, primarily meant for lead nurturing, are truly best-in-class. It's a little bit of an adjustment at first, but it really simplifies complex nurturing tracks and saves marketers from putting prospects into multiple tracks at once (which happens more than most admit) 3) The vision is impressive. Marketo has a clear, long-term vision that they continually deliver on. Examples being advances in personalization, ABM, ect. I'd bet on them to lead the way (or buy the way via Vista ) to whatever is next in marketing automation, such as AI or machine learning.

Inconvénients :

I love Marketo. But, there are some things I don't love. 1) The landing page builder has made improvements but still, leaves some to be desired. Unless a template available for import matches what you'd like to do, you pretty much have to hire a developer to build your templates. 2) The reporting is somewhat overhyped. They REALLY sell revenue cycle analytics, but in reality, it's tough to implement and even tougher to accurately maintain. Since data is essentially timestamped and not stored in an external record (i.e. like Salesforce has for a campaign member), if you mess it up, you're SOL. Marketo's advice to me was "don't mess up."

The Big Boy of Marketing Autumation

Commentaires : Overall - Marketo was killer! Onboarding was great and support with issues was helpful. My biggest advice would be to maximize their time on site by building funnels you actually can use!

Avantages :

Marketo allows you to automate anything. Whatever action you want to trigger from - you can. We were a large publishing group sending millions of emails each month. We needed ways to segment and identify the exact user we wanted. Marketo gave us those tools to do that quickly and easily!

Inconvénients :

Some of our team struggled to understand some of the terms and systems. It came very quick to some of the team and slower with others. I mention this because it seemed more like a mental block than ignorance. I also felt like we needed a developer to help make the dreams happen. It was just outside of our skillset so we needed some extra hands in the early days making all the connections perfect.

The most complete and powerful marketing automation software!

Commentaires : I use marketo as a consultant and I help and train my clients to get the best out of it. The tool is hard to use as the user interface is difficult to comprehend and take on on your own, but once you've got the proper training, the possibilities that the tool offer are endless! The greatest perk is probably the ability to integrate marketo with almost any other software, which really opens the possibilities and the variety of campaigns we can do as marketers, as well as tracking all our marketing performances.

Avantages :

What I like most is the ability to create any marketing scenario with the freedom that marketo gives us in terms of automation. Also the ability to connect and integrate almost any tool with marketo, as well as the native Marketo-Salesforce CRM synchronisation.

Inconvénients :

The user interface is quite difficult to take on on our own, and professional training is needed/recommended.

Efficient tool for marketing automation!

Commentaires : We've found so much success since implementing Marketo. We are able to track and report on our sales campaigns, which allows us to continually improve our content and marketing strategies.

Avantages :

Once you set campaigns and functionality up in the platform, it's extremely easy to clone programs and logic. Managing lists and contacts is very easy to do and the platform offers pretty helpful reporting tools. The Marketo community is full of great resources and you are always connected to helpful tools to help you better use the platform.

Inconvénients :

Email creation can be difficult. How the email looks when you build it can differ greatly from what you see in the preview test send. I've spent a long time tweaking emails in the platform trying to get them to look good, and without templates, it's extremely difficult at times.

Marketing Automation leader, how can you exist without it?

Commentaires : We use Marketo to promote all of our content team's materials, promote and track conference and registrations and integrate it across a variety of platforms (Salesforce, Cvent, Outgrow, etc.).

Avantages :

It's super flexible and can accommodate just about any marketing automation request I receive. I've been using it for a couple years now and have made hundreds of programs to send emails, create landing pages, gate content, monitor and implement events registration and once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. The learning curve can feel a little steep at times, but their in-person onboarding is a welcome training.

Inconvénients :

I feel like they've grown so much that their CSMs can't keep up. Our last one rarely knew the answers to our questions and would push us to support all the time. Support usually could solve our problems, but they take a little longer to respond (about a day). If you can live with that, then you're golden.

Best MA Tool On The Market -- By FAR

Commentaires : Marketo is by far the best MA tool on the market. I have used many. If you are looking at bringing an MA platform in house, do yourself a favor and go with Marketo.

Avantages :

I have been in the MA space for over 5 years. This is the BEST tool on the market. The best thing about is its relative ease of use. Yes, mastering it and making the most of it takes time. But the bottom line is anyone can learn Marketo, and all it takes is time. Other tools require technical knowledge outside of the platform (such as coding, scripting, SQL). But to use Marketo, you don't need any outside technical skill -- just a commitment to learning Marketo. It has an incredible user-friendly interface, integrates easily with other tools, and really adds to internal marketing's tool set.

Adobe has killed Marketo

Commentaires : Good company and product that now is heading south. I would not recommend them at this point.

Marketo used to be a very customer-focused company and the product was (and still is) very good. User-friendly, lots of features and functions, good user community.

Inconvénients :

Customer service now SUCKS. Seriously poor. It's all about taking as much money from customers as possible. They are including an automatic "8% increase" in your price for the following year. How can you put a future price increase in a one year contract? Only an idiot would sign this and when pointed out to their "customer service" people, they didn't get the issue. So I guess they hire idiots for that job now.

A powerful tool

Avantages :

Marketo has an unbelievable amount of functionality that allows us to manage our leads and easily automate and track success of all our marketing campaigns. We have been able to add more levels of tracking and logic to our campaigns than we were able to do with our previous marketing automation tool. There is probably so much that I haven't yet discovered but am looking forward to finding out as I continue to use the tool more. The customer support and user support portal have been very helpful for us in finding solutions to our challenges, as there is so much functionality and sometimes so many ways to do 1 task that it's helpful to get advice on which is the best way to do it. I'd highly recommend Marketo!

Inconvénients :

Because there is so much functionality (atleast compared to the automation tool we used to use), there was a steep learning curve for our team but the customer support was really helpful in getting us over this curve.
