Perfect Fit

Commentaires : After searching ( and I do mean SEARCHING) the internet for an easy to use, to-the-point software for recording charitable giving, I ran across Donation software created by Dan Cooperstock. I wasn't looking for a membership program, and I didn't need to record everyone's birthdates, groups, and blood types. I also wasn't interested in paying an arm and a leg. Donation software has been a blessing. I'm a little disappointed in email options for reports. Unless something has changed since I purchased it, you can't email reports to multiple recipients without saving the document as a PD, attaching the document to an email, and sending it your separate email program. We have several people in our church who receive a summary of each deposit, and it sure would be handy if I could do that. I've gotten into my routine of saving the report and including it as an attachment, so it's not the end of the world. Additionally, so far I haven't figured out how to easily build a report for a single fund/donation category. There are committees in the church who need a report on only one fund from time to time (i.e. memorial, capital building campaign, etc.) Those things being said, I'd still highly recommend this program to anyone who asked, and I'm grateful someone saw the need to create it. There's one caveat, and it is that I haven't gone through a year end. However, if it's as seamless as the weekly recording/deposits, there'll be no problem. Pros: Price is right. Easy to use. Intuitive. Report appearance is attractive. Cons: Report options aren't extensive when it comes to single donation categories and emailing.

Donation Software Very Suitable

Commentaires : There are many features I have not investigated as they have not been my priority. If you think of one, it is probably already implemented.
I find it a good program for tracking our church's donations.

Avantages :

* This software is simple to install and get you started on data entry. * It grows on you as you become more familiar with it's operation. * It is versatile in that it can be used for several entities. i.e. we have a Mission Church in Toronto which is part of our ministry and the records for that ministry can be separated or integrated into our overall book-keeping. * It has a quick data entry feature called "One date donation entry" which we use for data entry from weekly offerings. * It has multiple report forms. * Easy to migrate from year to year. * Prints Donation receipts per Canada Revenue Agency specs. * Restricted functions with Limited user access. * Easy backup and restore feature. * Pricing relative to size of your organization. * If you have a good idea on a feature not included, notify the software writer and he is very willing to investigate implementation.

Inconvénients :

* I'm reluctant to give access to another operator as I have slight fear it may be hard to find errors in data entry. My motto is: If you want it done right, do it yourself. * Reports require some programming knowledge to filter reports.

Great for Small Charities

Commentaires : Easily tracks donations and produces tax receipts

Avantages :

Easy to use with some flexibility. CRA compliant. Inexpensive.

Inconvénients :

Not cloud based. Better reporting and report options

Directly addresses the exact needs of a church treasurer - without unneeded complications.

Commentaires : Saves time and provides peace of mind.

Avantages :

No doubt, ending year including receipting and starting next year. Or maybe correcting errors from year ended. Or maybe notifications and changes as required from changes to Revenue Canada. Or maybe the immediate response when needed.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it opens with a dialogue that my subscription is not up to date. Knowing it is, I close and reopen and proceed....

Excellent, easy to use Donation System

Commentaires : The DONATION software is reliable, does the job it was designed for, with ease. Also, the customer service is second-to-none, and any questions are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Avantages :

This software is reliable and easy to use. The customer service is excellent.

Inconvénients :

There is nothing that I think is missing from this software.

Excellent and Affordable Product!

Commentaires : Overall, my experience has been very positive. We have been using DONATION since 2012 and keep renewing!

Avantages :

DONATION is very easy to use, is affordable and has fantastic help files when you need them. Additionally, our administrative office houses two separate agencies and we are able to have two separate agencies in the same system for the same price. When entering a donation we simply have to choose the agency and the system does the rest.

Inconvénients :

In the beginning I had difficulty adding the electronic signature and logo, but I think they have improved these features.

Great-Easy to Use Program!

Commentaires : I love this program. I am the administrator for 3 non-profit businesses. This program is very user friendly. It has a great 'help' section. The program developer/administrator is very quick to respond to my questions and very easy to work with. I could not be happier with the program and their service.

Avantages :

This software is so easy to use making recording and reporting tithes and offerings so quick and accurate! I've used other software in the past which was expensive and cumbersome. Donation makes my job much easier.

I can't think of anything that I don't like about this software.

Commentaires : I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to try a new program or have never used software to record their givings.

Avantages :

Although I have used other software programs in the past that I considered to be good, I feel this program (DONATION) is first rate and easy to set up. It is also extremely easy to be able to add new names or categories without any hassle. Apparently our church never used a software program before I became treasurer and the comments that I received were all very positive, including the layout of the receipt.

Inconvénients :

Right now I also do a spread sheet format of the givings to the church. I have not been able to see how I can do this through the program. I now write everything down before converting to the spreadsheet. If there is no way of being able to do this quicker I may change my format for 2010. Right now I am entering the amounts by envelope number and record on my spreadsheet alphabetically. So in 2010 I probably will change the spreadsheet to envelope numbers as well.

Donation Must Have

Commentaires : Sending out Donor receipts and year end statements is less time consuming. Having the proper IRS statement for charitable deductions is a critical step for Donors.

Avantages :

Having an easy template for Donor receipts and year end statements is wonderful. Being able to print mailing labels saves time each reporting period. I use this program for all of my non-profit clients.

Inconvénients :

My first year was a learning curve obviously. I did have a bit of problem adding the Entity logos to the template. One client's template came out better than another. Operator error most likely.

Great Software for the cost

Commentaires : As a church this software was used to log and monitor tax exempt giving .

Avantages :

At the time the Software was the least expensive option for the needs of the church. For simple giving and donation reporting it works well.

Inconvénients :

As a standalone donation software its very adequate however, there are limits to the capabilities.

DONATION and ACCOUNTS

Commentaires : I have nothing but positive comments to make on the Donations program re: Software4profits.cm. I began using the program in January 2012. I have found this program to be the most "user-friendly" program I have ever used. I did not learn to use a computer until after I retired 18 years ago. This program does all the things I need to keep track of all the donations made to the organization [church] that I am Financial Secretary for. At year end, I can print off labels for addresses which are all loaded in the program for all the donors as well receipts for income tax purposes. The donation program has everything you could possibly want in keeping accurate records for donations and donors. The program also has features to guard against making errors. This is good for me. If I am slow on finding my way I can always send an email to Mr.Cooperstock and I always get a "quick" response.

God Send

Commentaires : I have struggled with other record keeping programs over the years. This is one program that I have not had to struggle with. It set up easily and transferred all my files over from my former church management program Membership Plus. The deposit records transfer quickly into Quickbooks, once the categories where set up to match Quickbooks. This is something that I could not get Membership Plus to do. I just have to enter the donations once and my deposit is set up and then I can transfer the information to the accounting program. It is very easy to print the giving reports. You can then print them to be mailed or e-mail them to the members. If there is something that you cannot figure out they have help files and great support. The only thing that it does not do is track attendance., but for a small church it really does not matter.

Donations

Commentaires : We have been very pleased with Donation. It is simple and works well for us.
We are a small non-profit, but have grown considerably, thus using the Donation
program more than when purchased. We work overseas for extended periods
of time, and have been successful at transferring the program to someone else's computer so they could keep up donations while we are gone.
I would like to tweek the receipt just a little to make it even better! I recommend this program to any non profit organization.

Just what is required!

Commentaires : Donation is a software program that is used in my own church on a weekly basis and maintains the records extremely well. I have also recommended the program for use in a number of client churches.
Donation is designed for the recording and maintaining of periodic donations and the production of reports as required. This process is done very well without a lot of extra features that are never used.
The moving from one year's data set to the next is about as easy as it can be made. By keeping backup copies you can also maintain a number of years of data.
The facility of carrying over the name and address for donors to the new year is a major time saver.
This program is worth every nickel (no more pennies in Canada) you pay for it and a whole lot more.

The Easy Way to Prepare Tax Receipts

Commentaires : This program includes easy to use ways to track personal information about donors, donations. It prints receipts that have all the information from the church on them that you need and prompts you to do everything properly including a second printing to keep a record for your files in case you ever needed it. It allows you to make all sorts of reports over any time period you want. It is easy to do backups. And Dan Cooperstock provides frequent updates with a good description of what the update will do for you in language that is easy to understand. He is always available if you have a problem that the program can't solve for you. We have been using it as Knox Church and would be lost without it.

DONATION

Commentaires : I have been using Donation for 3 years and find it very user friendly . I can recommend it for anyone who is elderly and is hesitating because of that. I am 76 years old and had no trouble starting . When I didn't understand how something was done, eg. income tax receipts, I simply sent an email to Dan and received an easily understood answer the same day.
In fact that has been a big plus for me as usually you receive an answer to a question about software within a week. With Dan it is the same day and no question seems inconsequential to him. You can even transfer it to another computer if someone else has to take over for you. Actually I can't find anything against the program.

~Wonderful year-end system for income tax receipts (this used to take us days, now we can get it done in a couple hours)

~Customer service is fast and friendly Con: The only thing we have difficulty with is creating some reports with the 'filter reports' feature. It takes some programming knowledge to create more complicated reports. For our purposes though, I have not had to use this feature much at all.

Great and simple software

Commentaires : Our Church have been struggling to issue receipts every month using spread sheets until we came to know DONATION in google search. It really improves our efficiency and able to keep proper record of each Church member. The support and service is fast and can answer our questions in very short time. The only thing I would like to see it improves is that the pledge can be carried forward to next year. Currently we can only manage pledges for the same year. If we start the pledge period, say from October, we cannot manage it until next October. Overall I really like the software and looking forward to many years of using it.

Church Financial Secretary

Commentaires : I have been using Dan Cooperstock's Donation Program for years and love it. It makes my job as Financial Secretary of our church so much easier. Before using this program, everything was done by hand. I print out everyone's giving at the 6 month mark and, of course, at the end of the year, the total year's giving for everyone to report to the IRS. I back up the program every week on a flash drive. If I ever have any questions, I e-mail Dan and he gets back to me very quickly. I would recommend this program to any church large or small. Dan has definitely made my job much easier!

Great Program

Commentaires : We tried several much more expensive programs. Donation meets our needs perfectly. It is very easy to use, very quick, doesn't crash like the others did. End of the year reports are a breeze. There may be fancier interfaces out there, but you pay for the pretty colors in speed and stability. Donation loads quickly and we have never had it crash on us. This is our 3rd year tracking all of our giving. We make thousands of entries each year. The customer service is personal and immediate. I cannot reccomend this program enough especially to churches.

Ease of Use and Customer Service

Commentaires : I have been using donation for six years due to the affordability for non-profit sector and allows for simple use for those of us who require just the basics. Extracting reports from system is laid out for easy use, with more extensive features for those pursuing fund raising campaign donor information. Would highly recommend for any small non-profits, where data input volunteers or officers may change frequently. There are not too many software programs where your help questions are answered by the program developer. Responses are always quick and thorough.

Donation program review

Commentaires : I have used the Donation software program for a year now, including the issuing of charitable receipts and have been very pleased with it. It is easy to set up and use, has all the report options that I need and most importantly, issues correct official charitable tax receipts. When I did have a question, I received an email answer quickly and the help menu is extensive. When I was looking for a donation program, I discovered that many organizations only use Excel which is very time consuming and cumbersome. I have recommended this software to them.

Simple and efficient

Commentaires : DONATION has been a great program for our church. It has a fairly simple interface, has a selection of reports and does an efficient job of keeping track of our records. Pros: easy to train new people on, the basic functions are easy to learn, can print a variety of reports, great customer service, reasonably priced
Cons: a few areas where some steps could be simplified esp. in entering new people into the db Dan Cooperstock provides customer service that is timely--usually same day if not same hour after a query is made. Top notch!

DONATION

Commentaires : Our church purchased the program with Batch entry and would suggest that to everyone. Easy to use, prints well formatted reports and is simply GREAT for organizations requiring a program for donations requiring tax receipts. Ease of use - 10/10. Want an update - notification by the program. Have a question - email the author and get a response the same day! It's for donations only, but it's the best program I've encountered using Windows 8. Help files are incredible but so is the author's help. We're completely satisfied!
