System Center by Microsoft

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : For big companies and organizations this is one of the best for deploying and managing. Incident management and deploying systems over the network is very easy to monitor. Must have for any enterprise organization which have hundreds of services to manage. Deployment of systems and laptops is very easy handled through it.

Avantages :

One of the best network management system which help my organization to grow and manage the network problem. There are lots of built-in reports to monitor. Great security features and easy to define roles. Top of the cherry is remote control and management. If you are able to learn UI then it is very easy to manage all products.

Inconvénients :

There are some glitches while remote support. It is not a cheap one, products are expensive as compare to competitors. Bit slow as well in performance.

System Center allows for end-to-end device management and provides a wealth of actionable data.

4,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : System Center offers any business, regardless of its size and complexity a platform to manage endpoints consistently. For me, where it really shines is in the consolidation of various operational processes and the wealth of underlying data you get, which can easily be turned in useful and actionable information for not only technology teams, but the business.

Avantages :

System Center gives us the ability to consistently deploy and manage both servers and workstations, as well as continuously monitor key indicators for executive reporting, like patch compliance, software deployment and inventory information, supporting risk and cost management decisions and empowering project teams to have a wealth of information about the environment at hand.

Inconvénients :

System Center is very much a suite of components and adoption, as well as operational running, requires expertise, however this is a small price to pay for the capability of its integration of functionality and the data/useful information it provides.

Asset management, CRM, incident management, deployment all in one. But, man, if it isn't annoying.

1,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : I have never used a better CRM tool, but that isn't saying much. Asset management is good. Application/OS deployment is good but difficult.

Avantages :

Asset management, CRM, incident management, application deployment and those are just the features we use. Excellent, detailed reporting of incidents, users, assets, etc. Integration with everything Microsoft. The desktop apps are actually pretty decent, if you have used other Microsoft apps and are already used to how they are laid out. It really is better than some CRM tools and asset management tools.

Inconvénients :

Slow. Maybe it is just us and our on-prem setup (another con, these days) but boy is it slow. We were even told by Microsoft that it just is slow. That's it. Other MDM, asset management, CRM tools come with manufacturer setup teams to help you get started, we just threw ours together from scratch and a few classes. Everything is a learning experience and almost nothing is intuitive. Writing C# and XML are a must. SCCM/SCSM is not user friendly and takes 1, 2, or 3 full-time employees to run, let alone get setup.

This is one of the best software and OS deployment systems out there

5,0 il y a 4 ans

Commentaires : Literally couldn't do my job without this application.

Avantages :

I love how easy this product is to use. It is very intuitive and doesn't require any unnecessary steps to create a beautiful working operating system image.

Inconvénients :

I wish there were more new features being added with the new versions. There is a very active and very large UserVoice out there for this app and it seems like their team only works on 1 or 2 at a time and there are HUNDREDS of requests out there for changes/adds/etc/

It is a fantastic and incredible tool for the administration of computers and servers

4,0 il y a 5 ans

Avantages :

- It can be unified with Active Directory and DHCP to locate any computer that is connected to the network. - You can deploy Windows desktop and Windows server updates automatically or manually. - You can implement any application or shortcut. - Most impressive is the ease with which you can implement operating systems through the network. - When you deploy an application, update or operating system, you can easily see the progress of the implementation. - Has a wide range of created reports. - Can generate Querys according to the need of the company. - SCCM has its own remote connection system that provides great help at the time of remote technical support. - You can set up an "SCCM server" or a "distribution point" in each location you need to avoid bandwidth consumption. - It has a great security to establish the differences between the roles of the different areas of the company that require the use of the tool. - You can use the LOG as they are very useful.

Inconvénients :

- Microsoft System Center is a very expensive tool - It requires many pre requisites for the installation of the SCCM in a server. - The set-up requires many hours of work so that SCCM is 100% configured - The creation of additional reports is very complicated. - Generating Querys in SCCM does not have much documentation and is really difficult. - You really need to do a course to be able to use the tool. - Many errors of the tool are basic and do not show details. - It is complicated to verify the installation of Windows updates.

my review 15

5,0 il y a 8 mois

Commentaires : Overall, Microsoft System Center is a powerful suite of tools that can help IT teams manage their infrastructure and services more effectively. However, it may not be the best choice for organizations that need more robust change management or inventory management features.

Avantages :

Automation: System Center includes a variety of automation features that allow IT teams to automate repetitive tasks, such as software deployments and patch management. This can save time and improve efficiency.Integration: The software is designed to integrate with other Microsoft products, such as Windows Server and Azure. This allows IT teams to manage their on-premises and cloud-based resources from a single console.Scalability: System Center is designed to scale to meet the needs of large and complex IT environments. This makes it a good option for organizations with large IT teams and a lot of infrastructure to manage.

Inconvénients :

Cost: System Center can be expensive, particularly for organizations that need to purchase multiple licenses for their IT team members.Complexity: The software can be complex to set up and configure, particularly for organizations that are new to using it. This may require additional training and resources to get up and running.Limited Platform Support: System Center is designed to work with Windows-based systems, and may not be compatible with other platforms such as Linux, MacOS, and Unix.

System management? Much easier with MS System Center

5,0 il y a 9 mois

Commentaires : It is an indispensable structure to gather all workloads that take time and process in a single point and to intervene in their management instantly. While providing you with ease of user interface, security is kept at the highest level. A system that is as solid as a firewall but sees the finer points as much as the surgeon. The integrated world of the whole structure.

Avantages :

It is much easier and simpler to gather and manage the entire structure under one roof. In particular, the merging and bringing together of different locations and the management of the organization of all these processes on a single screen with almost zero resource usage. It is very easy to monitor and manage all processes instantly and within seconds. Moreover, different platforms do not prevent you from using this structure.

Inconvénients :

Installation processes take some time. This should not be perceived as a minus. If you have a mixed structure and organization, it is a necessary condition. Physical resource consumption is also a bit high.

System Center by Microsoft Review

5,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : This product is great for companies and organizations that want to quick apply the fix, patches, and updates throughout thier server environment so they can maintain thier web traffic effectively and other business related issue they may want to revolve or enhance.

Avantages :

One of the reasons why I tend use Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manage (SCCM) at ProfitSword is the ability to track network inventory, application installation and deploying updates and security patches across all of our Organization. what i like about SCCM is that it gives me the ability to take over our Microsoft SQL servers to implement security patches, and updates to our QA environment servers so we can quickly apply updates to our BI software and deploy the updates to production. Next best feature of system center is the ability to integrate with other Microsoft products to give us a fast and flexible updates to our servers at all times.

Inconvénients :

One of the downside of SCCM is the average cost to run and maintain SCCM, which is usually not sold as bundle within Microsoft product, but it is a larger separate suite from Microsoft and it is primarily expensive since it is not a Enterprise product. I hope Microsoft to create an enterprise version of SCCM .

It's a great product and using it's full potential no doubt it´s a great Investment.

5,0 il y a 6 ans

Commentaires : Peace of mind. Fantastic features and it's on the top of it's category.

Avantages :

It's a great product and using it's full potential no doubt it´s a great Investment. I love the software delivery. Operative System deployment and software inventory. Super powerful and it worth the investment.

Inconvénients :

One thing I specially don't like and I believe that is the reason why most of the companies buy this, it's how the software inventory is handled. When you scan a computer and set the scan to be repeated every day, obviously you need an exact number of equipment at any time. But when you change the name of a computer, you see two instead of one. There should be a better way to recycle computers without missing information.

System Center gives you all the tools you need to manage your enviroment.

5,0 il y a 7 mois

Commentaires : The System Center Suite enables you to manage your environment from servers, backups, private cloud, endpoints, and even helps you manage it from a ticket/service management point of view. You can find all the tools you need to set up a decent service offering here. The overall functionality of the tools are really good and there is a reason this is a Industry standard go to application suite.

Avantages :

The System Center Suite contains all the tools and software you need to run an IT department. You can either deploy only the products you need or deploy everything and link them all to work for you.

Inconvénients :

Some of the suite products does take some time to get deployed and tweaked for your environment.

Awesome core functionality but needs more improvements to features and aesthetics.

5,0 il y a 6 ans

Commentaires : This software saves us an enormous amount of time and resources.

Avantages :

Microsoft System Center has become a key resource for our organization's IT Department. It is the primary tool we use to make software available to end-users, it is the only way we doing imaging for all of our organization's computers, and it does have a lot of features that we have yet to take advantage of.

Inconvénients :

The only real cons we have with this software is primarily aesthetic changes are extremely limited on how we can customize the software center and application catalog that the end-users see. I would almost go as far as to say there is hardly anything you can change about the way it looks to the end-users. Overall, everything that is a business necessity is already integrated into this software, but it would be nice if we could change the look and make it appear a little more user friendly.

I couldn't do my job without this!

4,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : This software allows me to provide a higher level of support for my end users because it automates and streamlines deployments and configuration of devices.

Avantages :

System Center gives me the ability to remotely manage software, compliance policies, and operating systems on all of our windows devices. I spend 60% of my day in System Center managing the 5000 windows devices in our organization. I primarily use it to deploy windows updates, and operating systems.

Inconvénients :

I wish the logging and error messages were more "user friendly". I'm not a huge fan of "log files" so using this software and not having useful logs and helpful error messages is very frustrating.

System Center has made our life at work much easier

5,0 il y a 6 ans

Avantages :

We are able to quickly deploy system images to computers all across our network with the click of a button. It has made managing our network to get software out 100x easier than if we had to send a technician to each site.

Inconvénients :

Initial setup is a bit cumbersome and while MS provides a lot of documentation, it doesn't have good troubleshooting steps. We had to scour the internet for some decent walkthroughs on getting things setup at first, but found what we needed.

The best IT admin system

5,0 il y a 7 ans

Commentaires : As a managed service provider we do our due diligence in finding the best systems that make managing systems easier and more efficient. Microsoft is by far one of the leading producers of such with its System Center suite. You can essentially go from handling over 100 issues a day to sitting back and drinking coffee all day. However it must be said this system is not so easy to set up. Installation can take a couple of days but getting the right configurations and finding that sweet spot is the difficult part and could take months. Setting up your own private cloud has also been made as simple as clicking one button. From my personal view, if you run an enterprise system there is no better route for you to go except Microsoft System Center. But I do advise you find a training center and a certified Microsoft trainer before you implement.

Avantages :

It gives you a full spectrum overview of what your environment looks like. Automation and the usage of ITIL principles just bring it home for me. This software is like fine matured whiskey, it takes someone who knows what good is to appreciate the tools.

Inconvénients :

It is extremely difficult to get all the setting perfect for your environment. It can take up to a year before you finally see the return on your investment.

Avantages :

System Center allows you to manage your IT infrastructure based both on-premise and in Azure. You can manage virtual machines (both VMWare and Hyper-V), public and private clouds, control configuration, update and monitor your environment.

Inconvénients :

Some tools, like SCCM, can be a bit complex when you start working with these. Documentation is huge and it can be hard to find required information for non-experienced users

Avantages :

System Center has a veritable smorgasbord of tools that can be used for managing your IT infrastructure. Has support for virtual machines. SCCM (when configured correctly) is an excellent, though costly imaging solution and application deployment software.

Challenging to get set up

5,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : I was using System Center to configure some automated configurations for a K12 school system, including machine imaging and configuration. I spent many hours going through the setup process using some popular forum posts regarding the setup, unfortunately, I ended up giving up on the setup.

Avantages :

I certainly was drawn to System Center for the functionality it could provide, and the feature set it included.

Inconvénients :

The one drawback I experienced with System Center was the difficulty I had in getting it set up. Unfortunately some of the online forum guides were either not for the version I had, or the end goal was different from my goals. I was never able to get System Center set up the way I wanted and ended up giving up on it.

System Center provides a powerful way to configure clients.

4,0 il y a 5 ans

Avantages :

System Center provide many options for configuring your clients. It uses AD to view any PC on the network, and manage them. The reports that it can provide are very detailed and easy to access. You can do almost anything to your endpoints with this product.

Inconvénients :

It is very expensive to implement, and does take much time and training to learn to use. There are a lot of errors that are not detailed clearly and sometimes the admin tools are hard to access.
