Changepoint PPM has revolutionized my resource management

Commentaires : Overall I am very happy with the product. It only took half an hour training. It is user friendly and powerful.

Avantages :

The Team Manager function has helped me soooo much in planning my resourcing. It has particularly helped my team with mental wellness as now I'm not overbooking them. Timesheets have been very useful as well.

Inconvénients :

It can be slow sometimes, particularly the area where you can forecast resource usage across all your projects. I also think it needs more coloring of over or under allocation.

Daptiv Review

Avantages :

Very easy to configure and ability to develop reports to extract key information.

Inconvénients :

It tends to be slow across our organization. There are also some limitations as it relates to resource management, limiting the resource types.

Daptive User review

Commentaires : Overall I believe that we have had a positive experience with the platform. We only utilize the app for project management at this time, but I believe that we could grow with the platform and add more services as necessary.

Avantages :

I really appreciate the ability to oversee multiple resources and project plans all within one easy to use system.

Inconvénients :

I wish that it would integrate with MS Teams - or had better collaboration capabilities.

Planview Daptiv: PPM Program of All Times

Avantages :

Planview Daptiv gives me the ability to plan, track and manage projects and tasks in one place. Availability of offline access is another added advantage.

Inconvénients :

It is over three years ever since I incorporated Planview Daptiv in our system and it barely fails me.

Helps Us Help Ourselves

Commentaires : Daptiv has helped us consolidate all project processes and deliverables into one place which makes providing evidence to auditors much easier and more thorough. A recent IATF auditor commented that our mix of using Daptiv to support our product development process is an industry best practice.

Avantages :

User friendly and drives desired behaviors.

Inconvénients :

Reporting with Cognos 10 is clunky but looking forward to Cognos 11 with BI functionality

New user to daptiv

Commentaires : The main issue I had before using daptiv was to report numbers and progress you upper management. Daptiv provides the right tools to overcome this.

Avantages :

It’s a very user friendly tool and running reports is very easy to do. I have been using daptiv for just over 6 months and became an administrator in the last 2 months and I am able to upload new projects and edit with ease. I would highly recommend using daptiv for reporting to upper management and finance.

Inconvénients :

There isn’t anything I can think of to say the software does exactly what I need it to do.

Avantages :

Visualization and collaboration across the Enterprise from multiple aspects (Resource Planning, Team Collaboration)

Inconvénients :

Task Schedule Functionality is cumbersome. No capability to fast edit, quick add multiple lines to schedule, etc.

Flexible and well supported

Commentaires : We are trying to use Daptiv as the single source of truth about a range of projects types and for reporting at project, program and portfolio levels. We plan to introduce a range of dashboards in 2020 which will make all our reporting much more immediate and interactive, which will in turn enable better decision making about portfolio investments.

Avantages :

Daptiv has the ability to meet all our varied requirements for portfolio and project management and reporting. Regular updates continue to improve the end-user experience.The support provided is first class and all the staff we deal with seem to genuinely want to assist us.

Inconvénients :

It can be slow, especially when running some reports.

Daptiv for PMOs

Commentaires : Daptiv has been instrumental in helping us aggregate project-level data into information executives can use for decisions about initiatives.

Avantages :

We've had Daptiv for over 5 years and as our organization and PMO has evolved, we've been able to use Daptiv to meet our needs. The capabilities and features are flexible to evolve and mature as our processes and experience matures.

Inconvénients :

We tend to rely on MS Project for building and managing schedules because of all the features and because most of our PMs are familiar with it. Keeping the Daptiv task list and MS Project in sync is a challenge, even using some of the automation to help with this.

Excellent forecasting tool

Commentaires : We have got another work stream that delivers capital projects for welfare have started using daptiv which has helped them easily identify and see their cost and forecast.

Avantages :

I think all users and customer’s will agree Daptiv is a very easy and user friendly tool to use.

Inconvénients :

The one thing I think it lacks is bulk delete option for workspaces. Sometimes we create many workspaces for testing purposes and it just time consuming deleting them on a individual basis

Daptiv PPM?

Commentaires : Overall, we've had a bumpy ride with Daptiv. Our implementation did not go well due to the fact that Daptiv did not ensure/encourage us to use their defined process and due to lack of stakeholder involvement from the business. Most individuals within the company are very willing to try to help address issues, but there are some, at the lower levels, who just say no or it's not something they can do.

Avantages :

Daptiv has nice visuals and, once you get used to specific functionality it is fairly easy to use.

Inconvénients :

The current reporting functionality (Cognos 10) is cumbersome and not very user friendly. Reporting is currently not a strong capability within Daptiv.

Portfolio Management

Avantages :

Supports project intake process, scoring, governance and resource capacity planning. Provides enterprise visibility to leadership team on all project and operational work across the organization.

Inconvénients :

Can't undo changes made within work spaces at task level or dynamic applications.

Easy and value for money.

Avantages :

An indispensable PPM thanks to its easy use and functionality.

Inconvénients :

You may be subject to restrictions on some desired transactions.

Product & Customer Service

Avantages :

The ease of use and the great customer service you receive. Daptiv supports you through every aspect of the implementation and provides the same support afterwards.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the configuration of field names

Effective and flexible solution to PPM

Avantages :

The breadth of the functionality - intake management, portfolio management, financial, timekeeping, and resource management. It is easy to adapt and is flexible. There is also the ability to implement in phases or "big bang" depending on organizational needs.

Inconvénients :

The reporting tool was difficult to learn and difficult to make appealing reports. Needed a great deal of time and expertise. (They are addressing this with new ChangePoint Analytics.)

First PPM Tool

Commentaires : Our experience has been good. Through leveraging Daptiv, we now have an easy to use PPM tool and enterprise level tracking for current initiatives.

Avantages :

As a first time PPM tool for our organization, Daptiv's ease of use has been paramount in user adoption and tool expansion efforts.

Inconvénients :

In hindsight, we probably should have limited our customization of the data model for our implementation.

Avantages :

The software is very configurable, allowing us to adapt it to our methodology and maturity. The reporting tools are fantastic and since reports are what most of our executives see from any PPM solution it really helped make a great impression.

Inconvénients :

It is a bit daunting to non project managers. While it can be scaled back to make it more approachable, it really is more suited for professional, certified PMs. While better than Clarity, Daptiv isn't quite as easily approachable as other solutions to team members.
