Avantages :
Plusieurs outils: correction, efface, numérisation et sauvegarde en plusieurs formats: Lettre US, Legal US, tabloïd.
Inconvénients :
Rien.

Best PDF Editor in the market
Commentaires : Excellent! I'm a satisfied customer, and the customer service people have always attended to me promptly
Avantages :
1. I use abbyFine Reader to convert pdf, scanned documents, and photographic documents with text into the text of other formats or ebook formats of my choice (.epub, .azw3. .rtf, Word, Wordperfect, Html, Microsoft Word, editable pdf, etc.). AbbyFine Reader 15 is the only software to convert ebooks by recognizing pictures or tables and recognizing the layout in the source document as much as possible. 2. I use AbbyFineReader-15 and the version before to clean out unwanted text from a document. I mean, cut out unnecessary information I do not want to appear in my documents, or ebook or text conversion, or when I produce audios from the outputs 3. FineReader 15, as I have tested side by side with other pdf editors, can compare two documents of different formats of up to 5,000 – 10,000 pages or even more without asking you to reduce them into smaller chunks. 4. I have found AbbyFineReaderPDF-15 and the versions before the current version very useful for repairing photocopied items, cropping documents, and repairing mixed photographic and text pdf files with unassailable OCR capabilities. 5. I can search, insert, and delete blocks of text from pdf files. 6. Price-wise, this software is an investment, a must-have for organizations and individuals who handle documents of different formats, for people in academics, and people who move content from PDF to other multimedia formats.
Inconvénients :
So far so good, BUT add new functionalities, like (1) audio capabilities, (2) converting pdf to Publisher, (3) Improving ebook conversion
ABBYY FineReader
Commentaires : Overall, my experience with that be fine writer has been a good one. They now so I will not be moving back to Acrobat primarily because I hate their subscription services and pricing. It would be nice if there was online storage for yours and phone app for ABBYY FineReader PDF.
Avantages :
Price and Features, Scanning and Editing.
Inconvénients :
Some of the features and functions have not been where I would expect to find them in the menus. That is because I was Adobe Acrobat for almost 20 years. During that time, however, I was using Abby Screenshot Reader for everything I wanted to capture for just text.
slow
Avantages :
convertying pdf to excel. pretty good, but not perfect
Inconvénients :
way to slow to open pdf file. in converting to pdf and save file, it does not take the file name and put into title. you have do do this manually. the tital is what is displayed at top of screen when pdf opened, not the file name.
Alternate of Adobe Acrobat PDF
Avantages :
Its OCR is easy to use and powerful. File can be previewed before finalizing.
Inconvénients :
We cannot edit the file in Mac in a single subscription
Review from Paul Chávez
Commentaires : It helped me a lot in converting my scanned documents into searchable PDF files and extracting tables and text with a high degree of confidence.
Avantages :
its accuracy in recognizing characters and formatting the output almost exact to the input file.
Inconvénients :
That it does not have very sophisticated image preprocessing, for example in the detection and elimination of signatures and seals, which in some cases makes pages saturated with them unrecognizable by ABBY FineReader.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : Adobe Acrobat
Pourquoi choisir ABBYY FineReader PDF : The accuracy of ABBY FineReader was superior
Pourquoi passer à ABBYY FineReader PDF : The cost of ABBY FineReader was minor than the alternative and it has good recognition accuracy as well.
A very good Solution that could be The Best
Commentaires : I believe this is, in the end, a very good solution, it makes a lot of things very well, but it has to be improved to be the very best in-class. Also, I used to get in touch with Support and I have to say it is a very-full-quality Customer Support, well prepared and kind.
Avantages :
Easy of usage, processing batch files, a lot of different output format, standard OCR capabilities, and opening to OCR custom training
Inconvénients :
Output to Excel (tables are really not fully detected, even text within cells, with a lot of work to do in the end) and Word (every text appear converted in annoying frames, difficult to remove or manage at all) mostly have to be really improved to be the best. OCR must be improved very much. You have bad result if you want to recognize document in Greek (most part of diacritics are not well detected) and, with Hebrew, is literally a worst situation (you have not vowels and all diacritics). If you try to do by yourself, using custom OCR training, it's a very long journey and you don't even get a good result, and many times it's even not so clear if you are using your custom training set or not and even is really not clear why you cannot use one only feature to perform "verify" and "ocr training" in one only function/feature/action.
ABBYY fine reader is one of the best in the market. But it is limited on Macos.
Commentaires : My experience with the Abbyy fine reader has been generally positive, and ocr performance is key for me. In this way, scanning the texts that were sent as photos and making them readable with e-reader devices made my life much easier. I can even say that abbyy fine reader played a significant role in increasing my productivity.
Avantages :
Its ocr features are one of my favorites. I think no other ocr reader can beat the abbyy fine reader's ocr performance.
Inconvénients :
The fact that its "inverting color option" is not available on Macos bothers me quite a lot. That's why I had to return to other applicatons.
Best PDF Program
Commentaires : Love this program because it has the most effective ocr program I’ve used
Avantages :
This is one of the most cost effective and easy to use products on the market. It is exceptionally user friendly.
Inconvénients :
I wanted to convert 2 word docs to PDF files and it did that but put them together.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : Adobe Acrobat
Pourquoi choisir ABBYY FineReader PDF : Ocr wasn’t as good as ABBYY and wasn’t as effective or efficient time-wise.
Pourquoi passer à ABBYY FineReader PDF : It’s extremely expensive and not as good.
Great OCR!
Commentaires : Overall, I have had a good relationship with the software. I upgraded to a newer version to get the ability to OCR Old German Script. While not as accurate as English, it still does probably 99% accuracy on a clean page.
Avantages :
ABBYY is simply the best OCR software that I have tried, overall. The broad range of languages and the ability to straighten up crooked lines is very amazing. I have put some very poor quality page images through and ABBYY did excellent work of making something out of them. No miracles, of course, but very good.
Inconvénients :
A few times I have had the software lock up while doing a big OCR job (like an 800-page book). Also, I do not like having to do subscription service; I prefer buying the software outright because I am not a high volume user.
The Beat in Bread OCR platform
Avantages :
The ability to calibrate the OCR and optimize the results by changing some of the algorithm attributes
Inconvénients :
it missing some crucial features such as of reading order settings in the OCR editor (RTL Vs LTR)
Best User Friendly OCR Software available in the market to save your money and time in 2023
Commentaires : Sometimes we doesn’t have enough time to type or spend to write a formal letter in our busy works schedule. There are lot of solutions are available in the Google or digital world, one of those alternative, I found ABBYY FineReader as one of best alternative I have ever used. This is basically a OCR software, which convert any digital readable data into a editable and readable data as per your requirements. This is a PDF the executives Software intended to deal with the specific office and personal works with maintaining quality and requisite parameters of the works. It empowers Beginner as well as Professional also to support their effectiveness in the advanced working environment in their home or office. ABBYY FineReader improves on the assignment of digitization of actual records and facilitates post-digitization handling. It incorporates altering, recovering, document assurance, coordinated effort, sharing, and so on. ABBYY FineReader is an Optical Person Acknowledgment (OCR) application with PDF altering highlights. This PDF programming permits the transformation of picture records, for example, pictures, filters PDF documents, and screen catches into editable record designs. In light of an ABBY FineReader audit, its valuing plans are very reasonable. It has a free preliminary. To summarize, ABBY FineReader is one of the most outstanding programming for PDF downloading, altering, marks, and record the executives also.
Avantages :
It is perfect for working with these records and digitizes archives without any problem into various formats , as Microsoft Succeed, Rich Text Configuration, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, HTML, PDF/A, accessible PDF, CSV, and txt (plain text) documents. ABBYY is the best OCR programming Software I've worked with and that can assist you with changing over PDFs into editable text documents easily. My experience has been excellent with this, particularly while working with switching tables over completely to OCR content. The numerous accessible dialects and an enormous number of capabilities that permit us to perceive huge measures of text rapidly is outstanding. There is mix with dedicated famous cloud administrations.
Inconvénients :
Pricing:There are lot alternative options are available in the markets like Foxit PhantomPDF, Tesseract and Amazon Textract, Google Docs etc. Some of the alternative are relative very cheap/free compare to this. The pricing is little bit Costly in comparison with others options available in the markets.Accessibility:This software is Not accessible for Mobile phones. It can be improved in that respect to accessible in Android and IOS systems of all Mobile Phones.Conversion:Sometimes it converts the data in non-editable Box/image format or digitize the data in wrongly (errors of spelling) ,these mostly are doing when are not clearly recognizable or our main data sheet was in handwritten. User may faces difficulty at that times to works with this Software.
OCR for Arabic
Commentaires : Very satisfied. ABBYY is the standard for the translation industry.
Avantages :
OCR of Arabic, a cursive language, is the gordian knot of OCR technology. ABBYY has consistently worked this issue over the past decade and is now the undisputed champion of the world (spoken with a [sensitive content hidden] accent). Their tech support is always ready to take on the challenge if I bring up something that could be improved.1
Inconvénients :
While it is very effective, I believe if ABBYY allowed users to selectively train patterns, it would be much more efficient. As it stands now, training a pattern means going through many ligatures that are not problematic to get to the ligatures that truly need training. It would be better to go directly to these ligatures.
ABBYY FineReader PDF Review
Commentaires : This software is great and the experience with it has been great too. This software is saving my time and effort.
Avantages :
I like this software because it offers an integrated features in one package, it offers the converting capability to Excel, word, or Text, OCR with accurate results, and PDF viewer and editor. This software has all features that related to PDF so you don't need to use any third parties and this will save your money.
Inconvénients :
I don't have any dislikes about ABBYY FineReader PDF but I this they should work on the OCR outputs and make it more accurate. Also, I wish they could add more PDF editing features.
Powerfull tool for document archiving, document conversion, OCR and digitalization.
Commentaires : If you need to work with documents, this is a great tool for recognition, digitalization and conversion. Price is high and it uses high resources on a computer. If you have a high volume of documents to work with, this is a great tool.
Avantages :
Abbyy FineReader support for almost all languages is impressive. We use many different languages, so it is very important for us to have a tool that can recognize well. It is easy to use, with the simplified interface, one can work fast, through materials. FineReader can export to different types which is also a great function. Convert document formats and make them searchable, from scanned documents, screenshots or images to pdfs and html. It is very good for creating new documents from multiple files, which can be imported in one project then exported to a new file.
Inconvénients :
The price is fairly high for those who don't have many documents. It crashes sometimes while scanning documents with older scanners or when given more demanding tasks, like automatic scan of multiple pages. If the scan is lower quality, or font is small, there are some mistakes that need to be fixed manualy, which can be time consuming.
OCR that works!
Avantages :
ABBYY FineReader is a leader in OCR software and that means that their OCR is the best. It can perform character recognition in any language. I am amazed by all the functions that this piece of software has but one thing is so cool and I use it almost every day to help me organize papers in my office. That is "Hot Folder" - every time you add some document into the desired folder it automatically converts it for you into any type of document you want. It can be editable PDF, Word or any other combination you would ever want. It can do it! Text is recognized very well and without any errors almost every time.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes it is struggling with some special letters from foreign languages like Cyrillic or some letters like čćšđž and many times I found that those are recognized wrong. Also, it tends to keep layout and formatting as the original document but sometimes it doesn't work well. Also, when you are trying to manually select area for the recognition it can be very hard and tiring to do all that manually because the software didn't recognize page properly. Most of the times that is not needed but when you are shooting or scanning in lower resolutions be prepared for that.
Simple satisfaction
Commentaires : general great, I preferred online OCR tool in the past
Avantages :
high-quality output, the best results comparing to the other products
Inconvénients :
freezing, sometimes have to reinstall it again
OCR: Should be able to select an area to apply "Levels" in "Edit Image."
Commentaires : Best of the best.
Avantages :
Accuracy. Features. Ease of use.
Inconvénients :
OCR: Can't select an area to apply "Levels" in "Edit Image."
Converts from PDF to Excle seamlessly
Commentaires : Been using the product for about 5 years and Acrobat has neve performed as well (which is why we are using Abbyy)
Avantages :
The ability to convert just what I need in a document without all of the extemperaneous informaiton that is not critical to my work product
Inconvénients :
The inability to recognize a poor scan with dust as not being characters
Excellent for translations and improved accuracy over the previous versions.
Commentaires : This was a tremendous help in translating a document written in a German typeface from the 1800s. I trained the software to read this archaic font and then was able to copy and paste the text of the document into an on line translator to find what it said. I am a long time user of Fine Reader 8 and the recent updates of the program had not been any more accurate than version 8 until this one, Version 15. I bought the newest version to obtain improved accuracy of character recognition and document formatting.
Avantages :
Its accuracy; it is an improvement over the previous version. I owned version 8 and would periodically try newer versions as they were offered, but the accuracy wasn't any better than that of version 8 despite what the advertising said. Version 15 was noticeably more accurate for the types of documents I OCR. I like that you can buy it as an owned program and not as a subscription. There's a music OCR program I like, but because it's a subscription, I won't buy it. I like having quick access to diacritical marks and symbols in this version.
Inconvénients :
I had been a user of version 8 for many years. The layout of the program was different and I still sometimes struggle to find a function that I want to do. I dislike having to double click on a page image on the left side to get it to display in the OCR windows. In version 8 I just had to click on the image once to change pages. I miss having the text name of functions written below icons. Verification should be just to the right of Recognize rather than on the far right. The flow is currently wrong: it should be recognize, verify, save.
Strengths and Weaknesses of OCR features
Commentaires : Main use is converting PDFs of documents sent to us for translation into Word, so they can be translated using Trados software. I'm using an older version of Trados, which can't handle .docx documents, so it's very helpful that ABBYY FineReader converts directly to .doc format.
Avantages :
My go-to OCR software. Does an excellent job of converting both English and foreign-language text to Word format. Pretty decent at converting PDF docs that have less than stellar resolution into correct text. Very pleased that it can covert both to .doc as well as .docx format.
Inconvénients :
Generally has difficulty dealing with images and graphics. Often converts tabbed text to text boxes, which can only be effectively further used in Word by copying and pasting the contents into blank pages and re-integrating them into the document. If it converted tabbed text to tables, it would be far easier to use the result.
