Avantages :

The checklist and document creation features are set up to handle a practice such as ours where we get a lot of potential client calls. Document creation is smooth once it is set up. The intakes work well and the dynamic fields in the intakes keep improving. The ability to SMS from Neos is a real plus, but I was not satisfied with having to subscribe to Ring Central to fully use SMS.

Inconvénients :

Neos is best used for non-litigated case files. It does not have a case calendaring system for any jurisdiction's rules. It schedules items on the weekends when we are closed and I must go back to check for any items set for the weekend to move them to a work day.

If you use Needles it is the best choice.

Commentaires : Overall good and happy.

Avantages :

The merge from Needles was easy and painless. It is intuitive and easy to use.

Inconvénients :

The intake pro needs to improve the reports. The reports are not as easy to run as they were in Needles.

A Very Expensive Microsoft 365 License w/ Very Little Additional Functionality

Commentaires : Implementation was not great, and I was not migrating ANY data. I still do not believe I have everything I was supposed to get. I paid $1,000.00 to do the work during my onboarding that could have been done prior to my implementation. Because Neos requires 365, during onboarding you will get to make all your Microsoft 365 and Neos connections. I assume I paid $1,000 for someone to tell me how to make the connections and 3 hours of training? Not sure. I also was not told about a bug that Neos had which prevented data from being updated and saved more than once during my implementation. I did my implementation on a Friday, and attempted to input my cases into the system on the following Saturday and could not get anything to save. I was told the following Monday about the issue, was told it was a known issue, and would be resolved in a day or so. I spent all day Saturday trying to figure out what I was doing wrong for nothing. It was ultimately fixed. But just a frustrating experience. Everyone has been genuinely nice and understanding, the limitations of the software is where my issues really are.

Avantages :

Neos is customizable, which is nice. You can add whatever field you want to add to any tab. It allows you to collect and input whatever data you want and you are not nearly as constrained as you are with Trial Works in terms of customization. It has a nice display. Grouping contacts is easy. Apparently, there are a bunch of reports you can use.

Inconvénients :

Functionality is not there. Commonsense things are missing from this platform. The system relies on and appears to be limited by Microsoft 365, which itself can be spotty. Neos is just Microsoft 365 apps all tied together, under a sleek looking display, but adds almost nothing to the 365-experience. 90% of the Neos platform is bundling all-things 365 together through a sleek looking display. The other 10% that you would expect Neos to have incorporated and built-in is missing. Templates have to be saved and then generated to be tested. You have to constantly change in and out of various tabs when creating a template to get your bookmarks. Good luck finding bookmarks for pronouns. I was told by Neos I should consider writing gender neutral. Ultimately, found out that I could code an if than statement in Needles should I want to use pronouns. Each bookmark in Neos will eat up a line or two of your template, which makes for errors. You can calendar within Neos, but you can't invite clients or "providers" or anyone outside your firm within Neos' calendaring feature, so it's an useless feature and users will need to rely Outlook. If you generate an email within Neos, by clicking an email link within a case, it is not saved unless you tag it in Neos. If you email a document from a case in Neos it does not prompt you with the various case contacts associated with your case so you must click through various tabs in your case file to get the email address(es) you need.

NEOS is everything we need!

Commentaires : We moved to Needles many years ago because we needed a much more robust plaintiffs personal injury case management software. NEOS does everything that Needles did and the service is excellent. We couldn’t ask for more.

Avantages :

NEOS is cloud-based and it does everything Needles did, and Needles was the king of personal injury case management software. What’s not to like?!

Inconvénients :

Haven’t utilized it’s intake program yet so I can’t comment on it.

Needles Neos

Commentaires : Overall I like Needles Neos. I have used Needles in general for the last 6 years so its something that I know and feel comfortable using and havent had many issues that werent easily fixed.

Avantages :

I like that it is cloud based and I can log into anywhere I have cell or wifi connection. Helps when I need to work from home or if I am having to travel for work I can easily get access to what I need to assist in handling calls for work.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it glitches a lot and you have to completely close out and sometimes restart to be able to log back into the system.

Neos is a powerful cloud based software that allows me to manage my clients and cases efficiently.

Commentaires : The greatest problem Neos accomplished is the ability to fully use the software from anywhere. My employees and work from the office or their homes seamlessly. Features such as document management and Outlook integration has revolutionized efficiency in our law office. If we ever have an issue, the support team is very quick and helpful to resolve any issues that may come up. As an owner of the firm, I love being able to use my Dashboards to quickly measure the health of the firm.

Avantages :

Managing every aspect of my cases efficiently from anywhere. I love being able to track my Intakes and communicate with potential new client easily. I love being able to standardize the way all cases are handled in my office. Document management is extremely powerful. Full integration with Microsoft Outlook is awesome. I love the reporting features and dashboards that allows me measure KPIs efficiently. Our transition to Neos was quick and easy with great support from the Neos team

Inconvénients :

Neos always is offering new features almost monthly. I commonly interact with the suggestion portal (Ideas & Enhancements) where user experiences and wishes are actively addressed and implemented.

Neos Works for You so You Don't have to Work so Hard

Commentaires : [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been tremendous to work with and will continue to help us get to the point when we fully use Neos. The initial training was not spectacular. But when she came on board, [SENSITIVE CONTENT] stepped up and that has gotten us closer to the optimized point of fully using Neos.

Avantages :

Neos has been a true blessing to my law firm. First, it is intuitive. You can get started using Neos without too much training and then more training when you get more involved in all that Neos can provide. The Neos Staff, [SENSITIVE CONTENT]!, has just been awesome to deal with and has been right by our side during the harder implementation of Neos. It does take time to fully use all of the powers of Neos and we are still in that process. So we look forward to the time when Neos is fully powered up and working for our clients and for us!

Inconvénients :

The integration and migration from our last software management system was difficult. But I do not think that is at the fault of Neos or the other company. We were using an antiquated system and the migration simply was not clean. And we are still working through that. But the point here is that Neos has helped us along the way with the challenging migration. And we appreciate it!

Great Reporting, Case Management but tricky forms customization

Commentaires : I like being a user of Needles and managing my cases with it. But, as we add practice areas and need customized forms and functions, it does require additional support.

Avantages :

I like that Needles gives you a lot of reporting capabilities, categories, and checklists to be able to manage cases better. It is robust in its customization options and is fairly user friendly on the front end.

Inconvénients :

The difficulties are in setting up custom documents. The way the templates are made is cumbersome. And the checklists are tricky to set up on the back end so that they give you enough information to be useful, without being overwhelming.

Neos is a great office software

Commentaires : The transition to Neos has been good. The software can do so many things, I learn daily.

Avantages :

Value feature, dealing w/ numbers and case expenses and doctor amounts is very sufficient and simple.

Inconvénients :

The calculator in value, have not had much use for it.

Easy to Use and Good Quality

Commentaires : It's a simple and easy system to use. Easy to stay organized on client's cases. Have no major issues with it and enjoy using it on a regular basis.

Avantages :

Overall, good software and easy to use. Customer service is always very friendly and helpful. They take care of issues quickly.

Inconvénients :

There are occasional bugs that come around with the updates. Can lag or be slow to load from time to time (not internet related lagging).

Excellent Platform

Commentaires : We have solved document turnaround (docusign), settlement memos, and case tracking with this software. It has truly been a great help to our practice.

Avantages :

The checklists and role allocations are some of the most useful parts of this system. However, the document management is also excellent. The ease of import/mail/send-to-DocuSign functions are key in time saving.

Inconvénients :

The time tracking still needs work. There should be an easy way to get the time tracking converted into an invoice - just like with the settlement memorandum. This issue has prevented me from recommending this software to folks who still need to track time and invoice clients. There should also be a function (that appears to be not-quite-working) that tracks time as notes (dual entry).

Costs have risen and the product has not improved

Avantages :

Easy to use interface, ability to modify

Inconvénients :

No progress in regard to upgrading the system. It has remained essentially unchanged for 15 years. Despite this, costs have increased, supplemental charges for things that were standard, and quarterly support payments yet I am still uncertain as to what is covered in "support" as any issue we have, we are directed to contact our IT company or are given an additional charge for assistance.

well designed software

Commentaires : we believe that this was a good choice for the firm and it very practical due to the fact that its a web base software we can log in everywhere as long as you have internet connection.

Avantages :

very easy to use and set up, i was part of the implementation team since the beginning , it was a relative easy transition from the old needles to needles neos. Needles tech support took care of everything and was in constant communication with myself during the process. The whole firm also had a easy time figuring out all the tabs and how everything works. Needles provided us with training prior to going live which also helped us have a better idea on how everything works. The document/letter set up is super simple in comparison to the older version we were using.

Inconvénients :

I noticed that there are always new updates being done which its not a con. but with updates there are bugs and at times the system freezes. i would like to be able to name the documents when dragging and dropping it directly from the desktop to the file itself, currently neos does not give this option. system slows down every so often.

Needles Review

Commentaires : It works for what I need it for.

Avantages :

Document Templates are helpful to speed up the process of filing legal documents.

Inconvénients :

The timer and the Notifications icons are so close together that I am always turning the Timer on when I don't want to. Also, when someone sends me a message, I get a duplicate of it in my notifications. That just doubles my work.

Would you recommend downgrading?

Commentaires : I've wanted to get rid of Needles since I first started using it. We run a multi-office law firm and the system works like hot steamy trash over VPN. First off there was severe downtime because of database errors and then the overall intake system is lacking in every field all the way from duplicate management to marketing options.

Avantages :

Reporting is fairly intuitive. Not much more to say about things that work with the system because it's antiquated and requires severe customization that act purely as bandaids because they further cripple you from upgrading in the future.

Inconvénients :

The user interface, general slowness, lack of remote support, lacking SQL functionality, horrible intake solutions, atrocious speed and overall lack of help from customer support.

Needles Neo review

Avantages :

Easy and simple to use. System is always improving with updates. Needles Neos is cloud based so you can access it from anywhere.

Inconvénients :

No complaints for Needles Neos. Software is always improving with the updates.

Easy to Use but Lacking in Search

Avantages :

It's easy to use and can be logged into from anywhere.

Inconvénients :

The search feature is VERY lacking. In the desktop application, the search was able to filter and index more than just letters or characters. This needs to be addressed.

Simple Product

Commentaires : its ok, the converting process was not great, and we switched from Needles desktop 5, so i was very disappointed in that part. The templates still do not work.

Avantages :

It is very easy to use, and intuitive and it's easy to train new people on it.

Inconvénients :

I do not like that you cannot customize some of the information and that we have to scroll down on some pages,

Accountant using Needles Neos

Avantages :

I really enjoy how the search bar has the option of searching "all". As well as the results preview that it displays after searching.

Inconvénients :

If there was a way to close a period so no more transactions could be posted to that specific time period, that would be helpful for purposed of extracting data and importing it into other systems.

Great Program

Avantages :

Relatively easy to use. Keeps cases well organized.

Inconvénients :

The intake program is very limited unless you purchase Intake Pro. Most everything is not print friendly.

Extremely buggy, poorly designed. A bad, infuriating experience

Commentaires : Using Needles Neos provides disappointment and frustration at every turn. It is currently in beta quality, and the workflows are unintuitive and time consuming. We provided three pages of bug reports including broken functionality, missing features, inconsistent design, and suggestions for improvement. Neos is exceptionally bad at calendaring, document management and task assignment. The Needles team was unable and unwilling to sufficiently address our concerns with Neos.

Avantages :

A browser-based solution is a step in the right direction.

Inconvénients :

Needles Neos is a major regression from Needles 4.x., which our firm has used for over 20 years. We were misled by Needles staff as to the overall quality of Needles Neos and the ease of migration. It is extremely buggy, unintuitive, and not suitable for daily practice management. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Unable to recommend. We have chosen to terminate our 20 year relationship and look elsewhere.

Needles is a nice case management system if you aren't looking for extreme bells and whistles.

Avantages :

Keeps track of all client info and communication in a nice organized manner. Easy to navigate in and out, not too complicated interface.

Inconvénients :

There really aren't the latest and greatest bells & whistles yet. Not time keeping, no docketing or rules-based deadlines automated for litigation.

The product is easy to use. I use this product everyday during work and it very easy to navigate and understand the functions of the system

I would like to have a dark mode feature, because it would be easier.
