Avantages :

This is a great starter system and really good for a small operation.

Inconvénients :

There is no way to reconcile my agency sweep account. Setting up custom letters is very difficult.

Agency Matrix is crucial to growth

Commentaires : So far exceeded expectations. Almost made a mistake buying a different product that was offering all but delivering nothing except an expensive 2-3 months. Luckily I was able to extract myself and get Agency Matrix.

Avantages :

Agency Matrix has been around for a few years. I had been very loyal to prior product but it became clear it was not keeping up with new technology. The new product, while a bit pricey, it is more technologically advanced and comes with training and training videos. Very intuitive.

Inconvénients :

Some imbedded products are best to use outside sources, like the texting and telephony option.

Avantages :

It was pretty easy to use, and add/update data

Inconvénients :

It takes some getting use to the downloading of data process, I wish it had an e-signature component.

The importance of good communication

Commentaires : Many of the features in Matrix do not fully function, DocMatrix is one we have been trying to get working for 6 months now with no timetable for completion. Our website lead generator is a project we have been working on for 15 months and may be completed soon. These are functionalities that were presented to us by the Matrix team and then it just disappears off thier calendars.

Avantages :

I have been using the system for over 5 years and like the compared to other systems out in the market. The videos in most cases allow you to setup your agency in a long weekend and minor tweaks afterwards to fully take advantage of the system.

Inconvénients :

Most companies fail because of a lack of good communication. Matrix has made a habit of making changes without letting the end user know what they are changing and how it will affect this business until it has already happened. Yesterday was a perfect example, the intergration with 1 or 2 finance companies completly disabled all 2700 of my financed accounts from taking payments. We were told by 3 people they would call back before the end of the day, that did not happen. We found a work around but it had a major inpact on our agency with no notice.

FOR INSTANCE, YOU PREPARE A CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR A CLIENT, WHO WANTS IT SENT DIRECTLY TO HIM. YOU SELECT THE CERTIFICATE, HIT ACTION, AND THERE IS NO OPTION TO EMAIL TO THE CLIENT, ONLY TO ENTER AN EMAIL (UNLESS YOU ENTERED AN EMAIL WHEN YOU NAMED THE COI). SO, YOU CAN SELECT EMAIL AND AN OPTION COMES UP TO CC THE CLIENT. YOU CAN THEN SELECT AND COPY THE CLIENT'S EMAIL, PASTE IT IN THE SEND TO BOX, THEN DESELECT CC THE CLIENT, AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. EMAILING CERTIFICATES WORKS FAIRLY WELL, EXCEPT IT DOESN'T SAVE A LIVE COPY OF THE EMAIL, SO YOU CAN'T RESEND A COPY TO THOSE CLIENTS THAT CLAIM THEY NEVER GOT THEIR COPY.

Inconvénients :

FOR COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT FLOW WELL. INFORMATION HAS TO BE ENTERED IN SEVERAL PLACES, ENTERING IN ONE SPOT DOESN'T FILL THE SAME INFORMATION ACROSS MULTIPLE SCREENS. ACORD FORMS AREN'T UPDATED AUTOMATICALLY, IN PRACTICAL USE THEY ARE JUST A PLACE TO STORE COPIES. Works good, but still needs work

Commentaires : I think it's a great product, but is a work in progress. I can't imagine working without it, but some days it is a hassle. When updates are done, it makes the site unusable. I recommend having a backup site that works the same as the current updated version of Matrix. When updating to a newer version, you should direct the link to the website to the backup until the newer version is updated.

Avantages :

I really like being able to handle my clients information easily. If they call, I can look stuff up very fast and determine our last conversation and the steps moving forward.

Inconvénients :

There are times where things don't work as efficient as I would think. I think the box on the left for managing tasks, should be able to be minimized when working on something. I don't think it needs to be open all the time. I think the quotes done on ITC should automatically transfer to the Matrix when quoted and marked under "Quote Received" or something showing the notes from ITC. I think when I need to speak to someone at Matrix, it should be easier to get ahold of someone. I asked twice in two different ways for a call regarding the steps to upgrading to a higher tier and no one called or emailed me back. When I am putting in a new client, a popup will say "there may be another client in the system with this info" but it doesn't tell who it is. I think it should. I should be able to text and email people directly from their profile and have it show up on Notes tab or a new tab labeled emails/texts.

Commentaires : Need more training. Need webinars and conferences.

Avantages :

This is a great starter system and really good for a small operation.

Inconvénients :

The training and support. 1. The videos are a great idea but they are outdated. 2. There should be training paths or modules designed for AMS beginners, Intermediate and advanced users. 3. They should have training webinars and have users join based on the area of interest. Renewal COI automation is missing.

Not Cloud Based as they claimt, NOT for commercial lines, slow response

Commentaires : We are growing at a rate of + 33% year over Year and we have hung in with the system since 2016 but are SO frustrated with the lack of response we are looking to leave. THe systmen IS not cloud based NO matter what they tell you in marketing literature... If you need Acord forms with signatures this is not the system for you. Buggy overall and the whole thing goes down far to often.

Avantages :

Price... till you realize "you get what you pay for"

Inconvénients :

Not for commercial. The GUI (graphical user interface) or the Screen you look at has horrible amounts of wasted space with literally NOTHING on it. a useless "tools" box dominates the "all important" right side of the screen and the accord forms ARE not cloud based. You still need to download the file, stamp your signature and upload to "attachments" meaning they are no longer in the cloud but on your PC (not good if you log in from a computer that is not yours (travel/home). The coding/development team is either overworked or just do not care about the commercial space. If you run a small sweat shop that is heavy personal lines this is ok for you. Don't buy anything above the standard package as none of the bells are worth it. IF the VP of slaes told me no totus ehte "accounting" feature as it is poor. SO we still have to double enter everything into a completly different accounting program. NOT efficient.

Offers a lot of useful features

Commentaires : Overall my experience has been great with the system. It has taken a little time and practice to really get comfortable with the system but any time I've had to reach out to customer service with an issue, they have been very quick to assist and usually are able to resolve any issue I have.

Avantages :

This system offers a lot of great features to help with ease day to day tasks and offers a lot of great management and marketing functions. I like how you have the ability to integrate the system with other systems we use day to day to help eliminate extra work and making things more streamline. The email blasts are a great marketing features to use and helps with prospecting. I also like the ability to track and manage employee sales and commissions. I also really like the availability of training videos on the site.

Inconvénients :

It can be very complex with the set up of the system and really getting familiar with all of the features offered on the site and to really get the most out of what's offered.

Great simple to use system

Commentaires : Great system and great service with good helpful employees. Its not a big giant system just a good easy to use system that does most task a smaller agency would need.'

Avantages :

I like its simplicity however some of that has gone away as its grown. its a great digital file cabinet for clients files. Its priced great. It should be the first management system used by any new agency.

Inconvénients :

new updates are not great. they add extra steps. The new task system isn't as good as the prior version, the new notes updates now has extra required fields and extra steps. I really wish the downloads sysem had an undo button.

Useless product that doesn't do what it is supposed to do

Commentaires : This entire experience has been awful. It took 2 months to even get a response from the transition team to import information. After 5 months, my information still had not been fully imported, none of my contacts had been brought over.
It also took 5 months to get the reports showing what I owe the carriers to come out accurately because I was mis-trained! I was told to put information in incorrect fields over and over.
The commission reports don't work accurately because the employee commission structures only apply to pure premiums from the carriers. They don't apply to endorsements, additional fees or broker fees. A year in and I am still using my own excel spreadsheet because of their system is a mess.
Acord forms are a disaster. Information doesn't carry over from one screen to the next and that is if the Acord screen will even open up! Limits don't carry over, NAIC numbers that are entered are associated with old companies and out of date, if you have a client with an ampersand sign in their name, be prepared to correct that every time as well because the system doesn't recognize the actual sign...."&" instead it spells it out.
This has been an absolutely awful experience. Even after getting on the phone with the powers-that-be and showing the systems failures, nothing happens. They say things like the ampersan sign issue is an easy fix, but then it still doesn't get fixed. They do an update and it crashes the system. . . TERRIBLE SYSTEM

Avantages :

It's good as a crm and that is it, it cannot create acords, it doesn't pull info to create accurate reports......

Inconvénients :

IT DOESN'T WORK! The system crashes constantly. In the past week the system has gone down twice! last week for 2 1/2 hours starting at 2:30 in the afternoon - middle of peak production time. Yesterday it crashed again around 2:30 again. We could log in, but couldn't see policy info, contacts, tasks, attachments or acords. now here it is, 8:45 the following morning, and we STILL cannot make acords. It's a joke of a system. They will oversell you, misguide you and mis-train you. DON'T US E IT

Excellent program

Commentaires : I have been using Agency Matrix maybe like the past 15 years or more, I was employed and that company was using this system, then I went to work for a different company, they were using a difficult software with many steps just to add a simple information , wasting your time when you need to do it in hurry, so I recommended to switch to Agency Matrix , the difference was big everybody was so happy with the change.
Then just recently I open my own business, I knew what I needed to, I set it up right away .

Avantages :

I really would like to recommend anyone who has the need to keep your daily track of all your information , this program is very useful , I have been using Agency Matrix for a very long time, never had any issues with it. The program is easy to understand.

Inconvénients :

I don't have any opinion that I think is wrong with the system .

Love agency matrix

Commentaires : I have been an agency matrix user for over 10 years . It has made being a virtual agency very simple , I would have never imagined this Being able to travel and still take care of your clients because I have to software to access at all times is priceless . I love agency matrix

Avantages :

I love the fact that I’d is easy to navigate

Inconvénients :

Well like anything else I hate when the price goes up and they added a new product but it is not always in my budget to get the next best thing

Matrix in the Wimmer Insurance World

Commentaires : An easy way to keep track of my book and the policies of each of my clients.

Avantages :

We started with it 9 years ago. It's easy to use on the daily/customer basis, but sometimes setting up the functions can be confusing and not so simple.

Inconvénients :

It is sometime difficult and time consuming to set up new functions or companies.

Commentaires : Overall I would recommend Agency Matrix although with the ITC take over our price went up $10 without any communication that it was going to happen.

Avantages :

I love all the information that is at my fingertips when a customer calls. Reports are good a little complicated but good

Inconvénients :

i have an error that pops up when I want to scan directly to a persons file. I have to ok it a couple of times before it will actually scan so it takes alot of unnecessary time and we are a very busy office.

Avantages :

I most like the ease of end of day summaries and consolidating the payments with the bank.

I have not found anything i don't like about the product

Easy to use, very efficient

Commentaires : I’ve used this software for about 5 years now, with previous employers and now as an independent agent its the first software i purchased.

Avantages :

Very useful to store customer’s info. Very useful to keep track of our accounting as well. Use this product daily.

Inconvénients :

Currently have the Gold package features I work with are very easy to work with. For now everything is great

It is easy to use. Adding clients and information.

Not really a con, but it is a basic product at a basic price so there are not that many bells and whistles.

Avantages :

The easy of imputing Information is great. Retrieving the information is not as easy.

Inconvénients :

I think most people would be happy with this product if support for specific services. For example accounting, commissions, reports after about six months it would be great.

Avantages :

You can set little reminders on your account to remind you of any tasks you need to do. Processing a payment on this software was really simple. Bridging from ITC turbo rater was easy as well.

Inconvénients :

The way you upload a document to matrix could use some improvements. I wish you could upload at least more than 4 docs before actually pressing upload. It just eats up time for me. Unlike Evolution, you can scan directly to the customer's account & upload as many files as you want. It works as a drag & drop feature.

Wasn't Impressed

Commentaires : The customer service was terrible. Never was able to talk to someone when i needed help with the system. I moved to a different system this year.

Avantages :

The one thing I did like was when typing Certificates the system auto filled almost everything.

Inconvénients :

I thought that the marketing side could have been better. Blast emails really never went through.

It does downloads and clock in/ clock out features.

Commentaires : Nothing truly special about this software other than the lower priced entry point compared to other management systems and their mobile friendliness isn't very friendly since the software is cut off. If money is not a major concern and you know you will be spending a good chunk of mooney on this type of system anyway, stay away from agency matrix

Inconvénients :

Customer service is horrible. They will ask you to follow the video instructions provided with the software which is bad enough but then to top it off the video's are out of date to the point that you cannot follow them along, so then you email their support team and they either ignore you, provide a false answer or say they will reach out to you but never do that either.
