Commentaires : My name is Dr. Roberto E. Puente, DPM, I own and operate a small solo, but very busy, long-term care podiatry practice that has been using PrognoCIS since July 2011. All patient encounters take place at nursing homes and assisted living facilities, so when we decided to go paperless and started to shop around for an EMR system, it became very clear to us that a cloud or web-based system was the way to go. After reviewing many systems, and taking many demos, we decided to go with PrognoCIS because it seemed like a very user-friendly system, with adequate and knowledgeable support staff, and very affordable when compared with other systems in the market at that time. After over two years of using the system, let me tell you that it has been the single best decision that my practice has made! It has proven to be everything that we expected from an EMR and more!! Other colleagues opted for specialty-specific, much more expensive systems, only to find themselves abandoned after the company closed or sold, and were left without reliable tech support. The training/implementation period went very well. We were very fortunate to get such a knowledgeable implementer that was very patient with my skeptical nature, and made sure we where all ready to use the system in all its capabilities before we went live. The system is very easy to customize to any practice scenario, we are able to fully document even complex patient encounters in a matter of minutes. The progress notes produced are clear, professional, and we constantly get compliments on our accurate and timely documentation from other medical professionals and nursing staff. The electronic prescription module is extremely easy to use. The EMR/Billing interface has proven to be seamless and extremely accurate. We were able to do without our billing service and process all claims in-house after a few months. Communication with the clearinghouse has been flawless in all aspects. We actually just achieved the Gold Standard of Revenue Cycle for Medical Practices award from our clearinghouse (Gateway EDI), which means that 99% of claims submitted are error free! The system has very nice tools that allow you to achieve meaningful use with ease and confidence. PrognoCIS has allowed my practice to grow, while allowing me more time to actually do what I like; treat patients instead of getting slowed down with repetitive documenting, billing and administrative chores. I wish I could tell you more about my experiences with their tech support, but to tell you the truth, I haven't had to call them in over a year. I am very glad to see that Bizmatics has continuously grown over the last couple of years and are now consider a top EMR vendor/manufacturer. I don't want to make it seem like it was all peaches and cream, implementing and training for a new EMR is a stressful task for any practice, regardless of size and specialty. That is why is so important to make sure you have a strong, knowledgeable support team behind you. We did have our minor difficulties at the beginning, particularly with the fax application and some issues with the automated uploading of ERA's from the clearinghouse. Both these issues have been fixed long ago, and we have been able to fax in and out of the EMR without any issues for over a year. The same thing with the ERA uploading, it has worked flawlessly for almost two years. I am so glad that we chose PrognoCIS and also very thankful to Bizmatics for such a great product.

Fantastic Web EMR, Great Mobile EMR, Amazing Customer Training/Support

Avantages :

WhiteCoat Medical Group has been using PrognoCIS EMR system for about a year now, since launching our healthcare services. We use both their web EMR, mobile EMR, and Revenue Cycle Management. WhiteCoat offers medical home visits via our patient web platform where patients can utilize to make appointment requests. WhiteCoat providers are always on the go, thus requiring a simple and easy-to-use mobile EMR that can be used to chart the home visit on the go. We’ve been using PrognoCIS’ mobile EMR, which served us very well. The reason why we continue to use PrognoCIS is because of the numerous customizable features that we can implement to tailor the system to our medical group’s needs. For example, we can bundle CPT codes as a custom CPT code that our providers can select, but more importantly, these CPT codes can be customized to be arrange alphabetically and to show up first when our provider get to the CPT code assessment and plan section. In addition to that, we can add various assessment and plan templates that our providers can use to quickly document things on the go. PrognoCIS also helps with the creation and implementation of such templates. We use both web EMR and the mobile application EMR. We use the web EMR for electronic prescriptions and when there needs to be more detailed charting, but the mobile application EMR, which is an iPhone app is also connected with the web EMR, is mainly used by our providers to chart while on the go on their iPhone or iPad. The mobile EMR is incredibly user friendly and intuitive. They also have a patient portal system that our patients also utilize to message the provider and also for patients to access their medical records on their phone. The patient portal is both web and mobile. PrognoCIS’ tech stack is robust and covers all the necessary platforms to efficiently and effectively chart. I highly recommend it.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I wish from PrognoCIS is an updated app with e-RX feature on the iOS application EMR, but after speaking with a PrognoCIS representative, there's a new version coming out. Looking forward to seeing it!

Commentaires : So I would say they have a programming side and a billing side. My biggest challenge was creating an encounter to model that of a behavioral health template. This was not the case in my experience. The people were very nice and was trying to provide what I needed but the time it was taking to create what most EHRs (this was my first EMR) already have in place caused a delay in me working with the RCM side to submit claims therefore I encountered a 30 day delay in claims submissions. If they fix this PrognoCIS would be an awesome product for Mental health Small Practices.

Avantages :

So many features but will benefit a larger company (i.e., facility, hospital, medical office). Video portal within the software, e-labs, e-prescribe, EMR specialty specific content library, scheduling and access to reports, clearing house fees, secured messaging, patient protal, appointment reminders, fax services, technical support and paper claims can be apart of your package. They are good to work with you to tailor make it and if you use their RCM company the software is included!

Inconvénients :

Patients are not getting their text/email reminders which affects appointment accountability (our numbers started to drop). EMR is really tailored to a medical office and not the behavioral health. For example they call their visits "encounters" which then you follow a table of contents tabs to enter data. That standard format has forms, terminology and templates that aide to a Medical Office (i.e., Vitals, ROS, HPI). The assessments tab you can change but when you first open you can be overwhelmed by the different assessments. Mind you those assessments you see is what your patient sees as well which can be overwhelming for them when being asked about past knee history. Can't setup reoccurences w/telehealth sessions. CPT codes are not aligned with the Diagnosis. Video has been hard to get into have to use zoom as backup.

Commentaires : Just to note this is our 3rd EMR system and by far better then the others. After spending a large amount of money on "in office" servers, technical support contracts, maintenance. We were at wits end, and finally at the end of the contract. This system was recommended to us and within 3 months we were up and running and able to cancel the other, without missing a beat at a much lower cost. One more thing, we just moved our practice after 34 years, the convenience of only having to plug in our computers and log on was GREAT!! no IT techs or moving installers needed to bring EMR online. BEST MOVE WE EVER MADE.

Avantages :

PrognoCIS is the perfect EMR/Billing system for us. The remote access from Desktop to mobile is so convenient we don’t have to worry about waiting til the next day to access a patient chart. We are a solo practice and with this system being so user friendly, we were able to tailor it to our practice. I like that it has several features, and we are able to utilize only what we need. Big shout out to the technical customer service personal are wonderful, we have only had a few format problems but were able to solve in a timely matter. Also, very easy to use with The Dragon dictation system.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I can think of is the few times the system went down, but since we are cloud based this can be expected. It never lasted more then few minutes.

5 years and holding strong

Avantages :

We have been with PrognoCIS for 5 years after experiencing an epic failure with another EHR solution. Our practice is a small private medical office and flexibility is paramount to optimizing our functionality. We were looking to stay clear of the old large dinosaur solutions most prevalent in the EHR market and we found PrognoCIS. Our relationship with PrognoCIS has been one of growing appreciation of each of our requirements in order to work toward a common goal, clinic efficientcy. What we like most about PrognoCIS is the adaptability or customization of the product. This takes some effort at implementation and continues to be maluable as we fine tune our processes to be more and more efficient. I particularly like that there are certain aspects that we can tweak to meet our current needs.

Inconvénients :

There are a tremendous number of reports but sorting through them is a challenge. I struggle with understanding the logic with their naming conventions. The good news is that there has been significant improvement with the "Tech Support" so the response time is more reasonable. I appreciate that Bizmatics continues to work on communication skills with the end user and the tech support team. To provide the correct solution one must first understand the issue. My understanding is that this is an industry challenge but Bizmatics has made concerted efforts to improve customer communications with tech support.

Avantages :

This software is very affordable. It is relatively easy to use and move around in.

Inconvénients :

The customer support process is very difficult. If there is an urgent issue, a ticket is required with an open ended time frame for resolution. Many times it may take days to be contacted. Making changes to the templates for customization is extremely complicated. Adding procedures and orders to office visits is time consuming. The process for adding additional patients to an existing guarantor is repetitive and lengthy. The billing module doesn't follow some basic accounting principles and is very complicated when insurance companies require take backs or when posting remittances.

Limitations on MIPS quality measures, have to flip through too many screens to do a simple process when I think it could be more concise, when a major update is done server crashes pretty religiously, large reports crash the EMR for other users, more user custom EHR reports would be helpful

Commentaires : Our group of providers are using this for pain management from 2019 and happy to use of this from appointments booking to claim scrubbing is to easy update with new CPT and ICD codes most easy thing to do with prognosis is payment posting you need only few click to check doctors notes to patients accounts details also backend team is very helpful for you every time

Commentaires : One of our provider is using prognosis from 2013 and he was very happy with this service second thing is get a report or each CPT codes is very easy third one if you post a refund payment it’s a matter of few seconds

Tried this, just wasn't for me

It worked decently for our small office. We were able to integrate some of the features, but really this is for a bigger place

A Real Scam

Commentaires : With so many EMR/EHR systems to choose from, and conducting hours of research, I chose the worse of the worse. No ease in use. No logic in use. No VPN to maintain settings, instead they expect a medical office not to update their computers in order to keep the original settings on internet explorer. Cannot use chrome. Cannot keep up with HIPAA regulations due to the settings inability to be updated. I felt like I was 30 years behind in computer technology. After 2 month of complaining and deciding to switch to a competitor, I received an email from the higher ups. 100 emails to late. They charged out tens of thousands of bogus charges and collected 10%. They charged me alot per month for this disaster. I switched to Athena! Best thing I ever did! Prognocis aka Bizmatics, nearly closed my doors waiting an entire month to resubmit claims. I've been with Athena for 6 weeks and have not had one claim denied and payments are coming in. They only charge you 8% of what they collect. Prognocis, on the other hand, charges permonth for poor service with no significant money collected. If it weren't for my office manager, I would have received no payments at all. Learn from my mistake. Any positive reports about this system is submitted by their staff who were once medical office staff. I'm sure this system worked well 15-20 years ago. Computers have come a long way and Bizmatics/Prognocis simply did not keep up. Did I mention the amount in IT fees I accumulated trying to get this system to work? My IT specialist finally had a heart to heart talk with me. Then I switched to Athena.

Avantages :

The demo was great!

Inconvénients :

This system cost me alot with monthly fees and my IT team trying to get it to work with our brand new system. It is antiquated, slow, kicks you off the server, loses notes, does not interface with the pharmacies and generates absolutely no income whatsoever.

The worst emr I've used to date

unfortunately it has no features that have performed as I was made to believe and it has nothing that I would find appealing.

Inconvénients :

1. The handling of clients with issues by supervising staff of Prognocis 2. IT is not knowledgeable of emr, working with staff in India and communication and time of meeting is challenging 3. Expensive regarding time, monthly charges, cost on practicing weekly and coming off emr

BEWARE: Horrible integration and customer service; Extorting us when we cancelled.

Commentaires : Horrible experience from start to finish. The icing on the cake is that they now informed us we must pay them 2500.00 to obtain PHI of our patients for retention of the records or they re deleted last day of service (unless we pay the 2500) That's extortion.

Avantages :

Honestly. Nothing. It's been a headache from the start.

Inconvénients :

Extremely poor implementations. Features promised never materialized including DOT implementation. Using them for billing which was a huge mistake. Once we took over our own billing we realized thousands had incorrectly been billed and/or not followed up on.

Good EMR

Not user friendly--Reports are huge problem

They are definitely up to date/current with certifications and Meaningful Use criteria. So far, we have gotten all of our Meaningful Use payments, and many other practices I know have not even gotten through Stage 1 because of their software.

Inconvénients :

Support is the biggest issue. I have issues that are still not resolved from 6 months ago. I'm told issue is fixed only to find it is not. It gets sent to "the back," who fixes one thing, and then three other things that were fine get messed up. They said we could customize reports, but we can't. They don't work. They told us they are accurate, but then I have to prove they are not. It's a huge problem when dealing with accounting and financial needs. We should be able to do more on our own and not have to wait for them to design a report. We need more stock reports that are basic so we can customize them for ourselves. You can not apply the copay, deductible, etc. until after you hear from the insurance company, so if you have multiple patient payments, it is a lot of work to see what DOS they are waiting for.

Inconvénients :

Poor for reporting PQRS and MU. My main complaint is the poor aesthetics of the records it generates, this could easily be improved if the company made the effort. Also, the Customer support mostly comes from India, there are time zone issues but more importantly language barriers that are significant. I do not feel their support people "think like doctors" therefore with the language it is hard to get them to understand the problems. I have reached out to their Manager of Customer support with little interest in addressing issues. When I bought the product I have assured all of the customer support was in the US, this is blatantly not true.

Overall quite pleased with this product, compared to several others

Avantages :

The implementation is excellent. You may not like the syntax of the system at first, but you can edit and alter all you'd like, as well as have custom templates set up. It takes time, but you'll get it right where you want it in time. Having used several other systems, so far, this is better by a huge margin. The support is good, implementation is excellent and it's affordable. When I requested changes to forms it was done immediately. They are very accommodating. Also, the new patient paperwork is electronic so once you save it, it incorporates into the chart note, no more transcribing. It's nice!!! You can customize anything and they are very accommodating. I am also using their RCM billing service (the fee includes the software fee when you're using it, so that's nice) and they've been pretty good so far. A little slow to process claims but overall, good.

Inconvénients :

The time it takes to get it all the way you want it, but it's worth it. I have hardly needed tech support and it has been adequate but not stellar. That could be improved.

Avantages :

it is fairly intuitive, and there are very few pop-up screens. The business is keeping up with Meaningful Use. I like the format of the notes and the face page.

Inconvénients :

Tech support seems overwhelmed. Some issues just don't get addressed. For example, in Rx, you can auto-populate the pharmacy. Initially, all of our local pharmacies were present, and now we have pharmacies in Florida, Roswell, NM, and Amarillo, TX. So I have quit using that.I have asked for it to be fixed a couple of times, but I just don't think it is a priority. I don't like how if you type in a med and change it to PRN, all of the data you entered will change. So you have to remember to type in PRN first. If you choose long-term after typing it in, that won't happen There are times that the system is really slow. It may be a for a few hours or a day. I hope that as the system improves, this will happen less often.

Wonderful software! Our new providers have had no issues navigating throughout the program. Schedule is easy to understand.

Inconvénients :

The technical support is never that helpful, they do not speak English very well. That is my only complaint with this software.

Let me start by saying that I am extremely impressed. I believe you are very fortunate to have folks like these on your team. They go out of their way to accommodate clients like us. They have even offered to stay and help after hours and on off days.
They are very knowledgable, extremely polite, courteous, and professional, all at the same time. Anytime I have had concerns, they have been quick to respond and usually resolves the issues at hand.
I truly believe they are very valuable asset to your company, and it is employees like these who give companies a good name. My experience with Bizzmatics is very positive because of them. You have a good product but it is the customer service which makes your company exceptional. Thank you. This is how customer service should be!

My doctors are very happy with PrognoCIS

Avantages :

I like PrognoCIS' ability to customize reports and templates. The ability to have our fax interface with PronoCIS is a great feature. We can easily attach a fax to a patient's record and fax out referrals, letters, etc. The electronic prescription works very well and is a terrific feature. Customer support staff is very patient and friendly. The training webinars they offer are very helpful. We feel that PrognoCIS is up-to-date with all the requirements for Meaningful Use and is always thinking of the future.

Inconvénients :

Communication was somewhat difficult at first due to a language barrier. But PrognoCIS listened to their clients, and this is much improved. PrognoCIS customer support staff has always been very patient and respectful.

Good product

Avantages :

As a specialty healthcare provider, we needed a highly-customizable Electronic Medical Records system, and PrognoCIS was able to do this for us. It is also a relatively easy system to use and to train others to use.

Inconvénients :

It can be challenging to get a response from technical support in a reasonable period of time. It's often at least 24 hours before anyone returns a phone call. If more substantial changes need to be made, such as updating documentation templates, at least 30 days are required to make changes to and implement the new template. Followup after changes are made is often poor. You have to check back with them to see if the changes have been made that you requested, because there is very little proactive communication on their part.

Commentaires : I work for Invex Medical Management Solutions. We have partnered with PrognoCIS in May 2012. We have implemented one client so far and are looking forward to many more in the future. The functionality of PrognoCIS far exceeds the capabilities of any other EMR. The customer service is superior with PrognoCIS. If my client has a problem, the staff of PrognoCIS is quick to call our client to get the problem resolved. During our implementation, we were assigned our own personal implementation specialist named Om Thakur. He has been with us every step of the way. And he continues to answer questions even after the initial implementation was finished. He is patient and is quick to do a Go To Meeting with us to show us how to accomplish a task. I am very pleased with the support that we have received. I would recommed PrognoCIS to anyone looking for new software.

PrognoCIS EMR - The BEST

Avantages :

This software is best suited for a small medical practice. It worked well for our busy primary care medical practice. It has many choices of interfaces which will satisfy any option a practitioner would need to implement electronic medical records for their practice. Most importantly their training and support is awesome!

Inconvénients :

Took longer to integrate labs and radiology interfaces than I expected. Still it is worth because the software is easy to use.
