PCS is Awesome

Commentaires : I have been using PCS Express for over 6 years and it has allowed our business to grow and enabled us to work from home when needed. Their support is second to none and the on demand training videos are great. The integration with our partners was seamless.

Avantages :

Ease of Use, Training is Top Notch and On Demand, Support is Fast, Cloud Based to use anywhere with an Internet Connection, 100% up time in 6+ years, Accounting in Software so no need for outside solution, Endless detailed Reporting, Integrates with Omnitracs ELD System, Integrates with EFS Fuel Platform, HR Management, Equipment Management. This software is such a great solution for us as an asset based Trucking Company.

Inconvénients :

I have no complaints about this software. They are constantly improving and adding relevant features.

PCS Express helps to streamline

Commentaires : It's been a good experience the last few years. Without Express, we'd still be spending dozens of hours weekly just typing up invoices within Quickbooks.

Avantages :

The biggest thing that we love about Express is the auto-rating features. It makes training new billing clerks a snap, because we don't have to show them the intricacies of each different customer. Further, we really enjoy the access to load information. You get back what you put in, so if you add all the information on a BOL, it means you can easily search for that information when you really need it.

Inconvénients :

It's not built for Canadian companies, and you have to manually add GST to each invoice which can get tedious.

PCS

Commentaires : It has helped us a lot in some ways but could be so much greater if they worked with their customers more to see what exactly we need from their software.

Avantages :

The elimination of paperwork and how quick we are able to invoice now.

Inconvénients :

The pricing structure to add one more user. You have to pay a setup fee an a HUGE additional price increase to go to the next level for just one more log in. They are not familiar with liquid bulk and what we need legally in our commodity description. Still have not resolved our QB's integration issue... going on over a year. Always get told waiting on the developer. A lot of turnover.

Great System!

Commentaires : I've had nothing but great experiences with PCS TMS.

Avantages :

Very user friendly - can use from start of a load to invoicing. The PCS team members also send training and host gatherings to learn more about their product.

Inconvénients :

Not specific to tankers / gallons / lbs - more specific to box trucks, flat beds. Can't track last contained.

All-In-One TMS

Commentaires : Overall PCS TMS is critical to our operations. We track thousands of shipments for hundreds of different customers at any given moment and can get a bird's eye view of our company operations with a few clicks.

Avantages :

PCS TMS allows us to track, report, and manage our entire business from one application. We can integrate all of our other software vendors and data partners into one platform.

Inconvénients :

Some processes and modules may not be as quick to use at first, and there are some work-arounds here and there.

Fast, Robust, Dynamic

Commentaires : Excellent hands on training and dedication by the PCS team to train our employees on the best practices and provide tools to utilize the system in order to reduce manual labor and admin work.

Avantages :

PCS has been a wonderful platform to work with. The training is robust with a lot of hand on videos and webinars. The roadmap shows that PCS is determined to continue to enhance the software to meet the needs of the industry. We enjoy the security and reliability of a cloud base system and the price point meets our company needs.

Inconvénients :

If for some reason the software goes down, which is rare but can happen, the company is at a stand still and cannot jump to a backup on the fly.

Back to PCS

Commentaires : We used PCS from 2016 up until 2023. Switched to a different TMS and now back to PCS. Overall it is a good system.

Avantages :

Not sure yet. Have only been working with it for a week this time.

Inconvénients :

DOB needs to be on the drivers screen in Driver Compliance Can't make screen bigger Kicks people off or just freezes up several times during the day

PCS a pretty solid TMS

Commentaires : It does its job. I do however, after 9 years of using this system, appreciate how many different aspects of my business PCS can handle.

Avantages :

PCS is extremely robust and can handle all aspects of my business.

Inconvénients :

Customization and new features take much longer than anticipated.

PCS Review

Commentaires : Neutral. Not as efficient as we thought.

Avantages :

Pulling rates instead of manually entry. Customer service and Development team are awesome.

Inconvénients :

not efficient for Intermodal Drop and Hook business. Some development to meet our needs took longer than we were advised.

Great TMS product for small to mid size trucking company

Data track very easy. Can pull up multiple reports.

Hard to get a full report of all expenses each truck has.

PCS Review

Commentaires : My overall experience with PCS TMS is pretty good other than you guys need to provide more features and updates more often.

Avantages :

I like how user friendly it is. Very easy to learn and pick up.

Inconvénients :

Missing crucial features that other softwares have. 1099 setup is awful. Everything has to be typed in for 1099, not a easy process.

Great Tool, Poor Customer Support

Commentaires : Overall, the features of the TMS are a benefit to our organization. The decline in customer service since PCS took ownership have been disappointing but not enough of a reason to change yet.

Avantages :

PCS purchased UltraShip TMS which was intuitive, easy to use, had great order management, shipment creation, route optimization, reporting, and invoicing. All these features remain.

Inconvénients :

Customer service has declined precipitously since PCS purchased UltraShip. PCS has failed to hire and train knowledgeable customer support staff who know the software. There are occasional bugs and issues that we find as daily users. In the past, support tickets to repair would be handled and communicated in a timely manner. We now are required to hold biweekly meetings for updates due to lack of progress and communication. Carriers are charged an amount to connect to the TMS with EDI, this amount increased 250% since PCS took over. Recently, our carrier made us aware that they paid and sent six emails over two months asking for updates on the setup which were all ignored by PCS support.

PCS Software Review

Commentaires : The software is a must to operate a freight brokerage business. It allows us to operate and manage both the daily operations and the accounting operations. It is virtually two systems in one. We are pleased with PCS Software and would recommend them to potential new customers.

Avantages :

We like the accounting feature that is built into the software. It make accounting pretty seamless. We like the ease of creating dispatch loads and updating the system regarding pickups and deliveries. This software is very straight forward and easy to use. PCS will train you to use the software too and answer your questions. We have used PCS for over ten years and are please with it.

Inconvénients :

We do not feel that there are any cons or things we do not like. One reason is because throughout the years PCS has updated it's technology moving forward in time. The system is a great fit for our freight brokerage business. It was a pretty smooth transition.

On the fence

Avantages :

It made payroll a bit easier than doing everything by hand.

Inconvénients :

The mileage is often wrong. I'm still running it by hand. The dispatches are usually out of order, you are not able to see what drivers and trucks are not assigned to loads.

All in one Transportation tools

Commentaires : We have been with PCS since mid 2014 and do not plan on changing.

Avantages :

Everyone is able to see all load information without having to wait for someone to provide you any information.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes too much information can be overwhelming. So many resources, sometimes is hard to know which one to look into.

Good option for our fleet

Commentaires : Overall we are satisfied with PCS. Support issues are generally resolved in a timely manner.

Avantages :

Express is an all-in-one platform from dispatch to invoicing.

Inconvénients :

API integrations with other providers is hit or miss. We were not able to provide real-time GPS updates for some of our larger brokers, so we have to rely solely on our ELD platform to do that.

Is not a bad product my company has been using for years

Avantages :

it has been around for forever and I am comfortable using it.

Inconvénients :

doesn't integrate with our eld provider and does not have correct options when inputting safety sensitive stuff for tracking drivers files

PCS works for us!

Commentaires : I would rate PCS a 6-7 out of 10 compared to all the TMS I have used in my 15+ years.

Avantages :

We like the mobility of the TMS but the labeling and corkiness is sometimes ineffective.

Inconvénients :

Flow and Color ability, some verbiage of certain items as well.

Love everything about it

Commentaires : Overall experience is 10/10. As someone who is actively involved in Accounting/payroll/IFTA reports I have never experienced any kind of bugs.

Avantages :

I like how it is user friendly. You can even finish the tasks without using a mouse if you manage shortcuts. Reports and data overview in general are so easy to read.

Inconvénients :

Just the thing that if not closed properly the applications continues to run in background so it is needed to close it via task manager to get have the screen opened again.

Wish it was better

Commentaires : We have had a lot of issues with PCS in the last 6 months, with constantly being kicked out. We also have issues with trying to figure things out, and not having anyone to call and talk to.

Avantages :

Okay to use. Could be better, I honestly have nothing super good to say about it because we have had so many issues in the past couple weeks.

Inconvénients :

Training material is not useful, and would be better if we had a rep to come and check in with us, but we dont.

Commentaires : Overall a great and user friendly software

Avantages :

Very user friendly, The Dispatch side works great. An upgrade would be to be able to implementing VINS for car hauling freight.

Inconvénients :

Cant track VINS. We use for our car hauling company. We need to be able to scan and track VINS

Lot of advantages, still falls short on some features

Commentaires : Satisfied. Customer service is great, if only they can role out new stuff faster, and it should work better.

Avantages :

First off, that it has the full accounting module. Easy to use, and simple to train others on the team.

Inconvénients :

Missing some key features, and integrations are not 100%
