Avantages :

- Prompt for microsoft account(s) approve code or just that to accept login. - Support for other 2FA (two factor authentication) like Amazon, Google, Wyze, Firefox, etc. - It syncs your passwords with Microsoft Edge for autocompletion or simply to browse them in your phone. -It backs up all the 2FA accounts so you simply login to your microsoft account and restore every account. - Runs in the background, no need to open the app for certain accounts (helpful in my work account that I use several times a day). - Pin/fingerprint protected and locks every time the phone locks or changes app (can be disabled). - Show or hide all the current one-time codes, preventing snoopers. - For microsoft account, you can change easily the passwords in there. - Can be enabled or disabled to take screenshots of the app, enhancing privacy. - It can import passowrods from Chrome and other browsers via csv.

Inconvénients :

I do not have battery optimization but sometimes it does not show notifications and I need to open the app. Maybe enable it will fix it. It would be nice to have a separate lock function when the app is locked or changing apps. No dark theme. No separate function for specific pin to lock the app. It uses your fingerprint or phone pin. No custom supported.

The accounts can be buggy, ive had instances where i needed to re-add an account because i stopped getting the codes; Sometimes the codes expire too quickly; The security code is not hidden

Commentaires : Best authenticator app , and trusted for day to day use, have both android and IOS apps.
Easy to setup , can add OTP of non Microsoft apps.

Avantages :

Best MFA solution , easy to store variety of timed One time codes for various sign in into different apps. Easy to add an OTP for a login. Can use the long security key or QR code to add the authentication OTP into the app.

Inconvénients :

Uninstalling the product can lead to losing all the saved one time codes.

Commentaires : This authenticator has recently been introduced to our company security. It is difficult and complicated to use, that's of course if you can get it to work properly at all. It has now rendered the majority of our functions useless as no one can access required applications. How on earth anyone can rate it high is beyond me. It constantly puts the user in a never ending loop of asking for the verification number but not opening the box to enter it. This has now become the worst introduction to a workplace I have ever had the misfortune to be a part of. Myself and my colleagues are now even more frustrated and unable to perform tasks. A totally useless addition to a system that was once productive.

Avantages :

I like that the authenticator is easy to use and immediately prompts you do accept or decline a login attempt when it is detected. It also is very versitile and can be used for many, many services.

Inconvénients :

The only thing that is... less good, with Microsoft Authenticator is that it is harder to set up, atleast for the other services offered beside authentication.

Avantages :

I like that the Microsoft Authenticator is used for many things. I had to use it during the pandemic so that I could get my Unemployment. I had to use it everytime I had tried to use my phone or I was on a computer.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes when you didn't get it right you had to keep resting your password or you had to wait until the next day so that you could speak to someone.

What I like the most about Microsoft Authenticator is Password Management. Since most people have adopted remote working, devices, and information is vulnerable to cyber threats and hacking, and to protect myself and my team, I have installed Microsoft Authenticator to help me manage my passwords and to know where and when someone logs into any of my accounts that I have synced with Microsoft Authenticator.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes scanning the QR code might be tricky and one might fail to log in to their accounts if they lose their phone.

Very simple program that lacks troubleshooting

Commentaires : AS long as third parties do not have any problem, this software does its job incredibly. However, if the third party has an issue, authenticator just does not work without telling you what is going on. For example if the admin of your company does not allow you to access a program without updates, this program will not authenticate the outlook app in your phone. Yet, it will not tell you that it is because of your admin prevents you.

Avantages :

Most of the time you did not really need to even engage with the program. It does its job pretty smoothly and quickly.

Inconvénients :

Whenever there is a problem with authenticating, it is impossible to understand what is going on. Program does not provide any further explanation or help on fixing the issues.

It is very easy to set it up. You just need your personal or work email ID and bam it will be all set to go. The coolest part of using this software is its instant "Approval asking" which pops up instantly if you try to sign in outside your Wifi network. It lietrally protects you login.

Inconvénients :

The thing which I did not like it requires re-setup if you delete it. I am not a Pro in using computers/softwares but for a layman user, it should be super easy to re-set up.

Commentaires : Every day I need to log into a platform or website to perform a job and for fear of threats I installed Microsoft Authenticator on my cell phone and I always use it on a website, where I registered the Authenticator.
If you want more security, I recommend the Microsoft Authenticator application, I've been using it for 12 months and in my opinion, it's impossible for anyone to log into my account. I started to feel more secure with Microsoft Authenticator when visiting a platform.

Avantages :

I like the ease of verification. A light and simple application that generates a new code every 30 seconds in a fast and secure way I can protect all my accounts wherever I can install it. This app provides an extra layer of protection when I enter a platform. Maybe for some, it won't make a difference but Microsoft Authenticator has an option in the app where I can change the background color in a dark mode which helps not to overcharge your phone battery.

Inconvénients :

It is only available in versions for Android, Windows Phone, and iOS could have a version for notebook.

Straightforward Authenticator

Commentaires : I haven't had any real issues, in that I've been able to get into my accounts and access it whenever I need.

Avantages :

It keeps accounts secure. This simply works. It sends near instantaneous text messages, and the app is stable. Multifactor authentication isn't rocket science, and this keeps it easy.

Inconvénients :

It can be difficult to explain how to use a standalone authenticator app to older coworkers, however this is easily mitigated by either texting the code or sitting down with them.

Commentaires : This is the essential security we need in this day and age. A single password for access, is too easily hacked. Having a tool like this to do multi-factor authentication saves our company from the risk of a security breach. An this tool from Microsoft does the job.

Avantages :

I love how Microsoft Authenticator makes multi-factor authentication easy and secure. After setting it up on my mobile device, it's automatically linked to my work account. Upon signing onto my machine through VPN, I'm also then prompted to enter my passcode on my phone. The app is very easy to use. Basic, but does it's specific function flawlessly.

Inconvénients :

I have little bad to say about this tool. I guess the initial setup on my phone took some time, maybe 10-15 minutes. But this is a small price to pay for the added security.

Commentaires : Overall it's nice but i don't see why a email authentication doesn't work . Yes it may take a little time and it doesn't use your face ID so that's what Microsoft Authenticator is a little better.

Avantages :

I like how it keeps my data secure for my clients. I use the IOS app the most and it use my face most of the time. But sometimes it doesn't work so I have to type in a pin. It also as a fail save 6 pin code you can use.

Inconvénients :

I don't enjoy having to open the app the authenticate myself everytime i exit the tab. And sometimes the app will authenticate with my face but i still have to go in with the code so it can be buggy.

Commentaires : Overall I rate this a 9.5/10Free to download and use and helps safely secure my employees as they log into our programs we use daily.Linking your mobile device to the main system can get a little tricky but in the end it works very well. I highly recommend this if you and your staff need safe and secure log ins to sensitive information within your company and programs you use.

Avantages :

We like most the thumbprint single use action to securely sign on to our secure systems. This is very helpful as we need to keep our security and privacy very high due to the confidential and sensitive infoirmation we deal with on a daily basis.

Inconvénients :

The only problem I can honestly think of is when linking the authenticator from mobile to the computer can be a little tricky. Using the QR code to help link up is nice and all but sometimes it doesn't work at 1st and have to try again and some people are still unfamiliar with QR codes.

What I like most about this software is the added security - I like that it is a microsoft product and can help secure all of the various microsoft tools I use on a day to day basis. It is a simple app on my phone that I use everyday.

Inconvénients :

I have had issues with the authenticator app on my phone when I got a new phone and had to ask IT for assistance to re-link to my profile etc.

I'm using this software daily for authentication at work, and it hasn't failed me yet. I've used Google Authenticator in the past which had glitches from time to time, but Microsoft did a great job here. Does it's job flawlessly for me.

Inconvénients :

No. The app works great for me and my coworkers, didn't hear complains yet. Would be great to integrate with other email client like Gmail, etc.
