Commentaires : Jabber me rappelle beaucoup MSN.

The best unified communications application

5,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : My experience with Jabber is excellent, no matter where I am, I always have my extension at my fingertips and so I can make or receive calls as if I were in the office. I can also listen to voicemails or access virtual meetings from the same application. This application definitely helps the mobility of people keeping them always connected.

Avantages :

Cisco Jabber is an all-in-one application, it gives you the possibility of having your extension on your computer, cell phone or tablet, being able to send messages to your colleagues, share documents, screens, access voicemail or even video conferencing rooms. What more could you want?

Inconvénients :

There is not much to mention here, with the change of look and feel that they are doing in the new version, the user experience will be similar to Webex Teams and this helps the adoption of the solution. Perhaps the only point to mention is that for some cell phones, the application makes them a little slower than normal.

Incredibly useful for companies that use phones

4,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : I use Cisco Jabber daily to communicate and it is smooth and efficient. If your company uses phones (I know there are a growing number of businesses that do not offer phone support at all), I highly recommend Cisco Jabber for clear communication. I have never had an issue with the voice/instant message services in over 2 years of using them.

Avantages :

I love that when someone leaves a voicemail, it sends a transcript directly to my email. As someone who prefer to read over listen (I know this is an odd trait for a millennial), this greatly improves my work day and allows me to keep working without having to listen to voicemails.

Inconvénients :

I find the instant messenger clunky and old fashioned. Let's make the interface modern, Cisco!

Very simple and basic, focus on chat collaboration

3,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Avantages :

Cisco Jabber is very easy to use and intuitive, very simple so you can immediately chat and see the status of other users.

Inconvénients :

It is very basic, both in layout and in usage. There is no the opportunity of inserting images in the chat (e.g. print screen) or smiles or whatever. Also, I don't like that much the fact that you cannot see the previous chat maybe in other days since the data and the message are not saved.

No distance can stop web conferencing and team messaging

5,0 il y a 4 mois

Commentaires : Well designed and aimed at bringing the change. I have experienced the best.

Avantages :

This tool has really cultivated for a collaborative environment. It's presence is felt across all the departments through the unifying web conferences we hold every week. Everyone is appreciated and given the opportunity to air their ideas on such meetings. When mass messaging is needed, this software serves as the best platform for that. It is a holistic software with great vision to bring the change.

Inconvénients :

With the instant team messaging both voice and video calls, I feel that this software serves it's purpose to satisfaction.

Jabber as a Desk Phone replacement

3,0 il y a 5 ans

Commentaires : The Desktop call quality is great but the interface still have rooms for improvement Mobile option is a nice feature but voice quality is unacceptable most of the time (My firm actually disabled this feature at the moment due to the quality issuse

Avantages :

Our firm is gradually rolling out Jabber as a desk phone replacement. Overall the experience is pleasant. Voice quality is good. But the UI can tweaked a bit

Inconvénients :

- We tried Jabber on Mobile (Android app) but the experience was far from perfect. Voice qaulity was really bad even though the network speed was good - There is always confusion if user has multiple of speakers/headphones. while it is changable through the menu options, I think it should show on the main windows so user can see if a wrong one was chosen and can change easily on the fly - To call a number, we simply need to type the number out in the Jabber window. In our firm, we have many old fashion user that would like to see the keypad and initial calls from there. Also, there should be an option to display a keypad whenever a call is made instead of require manual toggle to show the keypad. Some of our users work require them to make many phone call and then use the keypad to select different options after the call is established

No "Jabs" taken at Jabber

5,0 il y a 7 mois

Commentaires : I am overall satisfied with Jabber as it allows our organization to work from home/remotely without interruption to our daily business operations. This is a vital component when considering the global transition adoption to remote work as a result of the 2020 pandemic.

Avantages :

I love the convenience and ease of use with Cisco Jabber. It has all of the features and feel of having a desk phone wherever the app is installed.

Inconvénients :

As with any product using VoIP, user experience can vary based on internet connection and speeds.

Could use a few good updates

3,0 il y a 5 ans

Avantages :

I like the Meet Now and screen sharing capabilities. I like being able to set my personalized status and being able to get a hold of colleagues across my company instantly.

Inconvénients :

1. I don't like the fact that it does not automatically back up chats. I've lost a LOT of important information when Jabber shut down for one reason or another. It would be great to select which chat threads you want to save. That way, you can mark the chats to save as soon as you start them and the application would save them automatically in the event of a planned/unplanned shutdown. 2. I don't like the fact that sometimes documents can be dragged-and-dropped to send them to colleagues and sometimes it just doesn't work. So the chain of communication is broken when the documents have to now be sent via email. 3. A recent update causes the main Jabber window to automatically appear. It's pretty annoying. 4. Even though the telephony system is integrated, it seems that users cannot call others using that feature. Users should be able to dial any number using a keypad. An older product made by a competitor allowed users to do that. 5. It has a screen capture feature that allows users to send screenshots via chat, but if they try to copy that image (say, to send it to another person), there is no way to do that. I hope future upgrades take this into account, or at least provide a way for users to get instructions on how to go about doing these things (noting, for example, if those features are controlled by the admins).

Overall an adequate chat app with features that tie to Cisco phones and Outlook.

4,0 il y a 6 ans

Commentaires : I recommend this software if you utilize Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones.
It has a lot of features that allow you to manage communication to Contacts all from in Jabber.

Avantages :

The tie ins with Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones work very well. Popup notifications for meetings and call notifications are clear. Interaction Options selectable from within the individual contact screens are robust. This is most noticeable when you are connected to Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones. You can pretty much do anything to conduct or initiate a meeting from in the Contact window. Automatic status changes when it detects your on the phone, in a meeting, etc works very well.

Inconvénients :

Lets start with if you don't use Outlook, WebEx, and Cisco phones you will not be able to leverage many features. In this case, you may want to consider other options. I have some small complaints such as: Inability to make the popups "on top" of any windows when triggered. When you don't already have Jabber chat open the only indicator is the icon on the taskbar is lit. As a deployment: An upgrade of the client is not a simple install-over of the latest client. It requires (thus far) an uninstall of the prior, then install of the current. This forces planning and user notification due to the possible interruption. As mentioned, this ties directly into Cisco phones. User can be hung up on as the client uninstalls and reinstalls if they had a call during this time.

Must have reliable internet!

3,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : When jabber is working well it is a great platform and I recommend it. When the Internet is not working well and the calls are frequently dropped it is unreliable and difficult to work with.

Avantages :

You can easily access the application from either a work issued iPhone or from your personal device. This allows access even went on the go. The ability to share protected health information knowing that it is secure is also an added benefit.

Inconvénients :

Unfortunately the Internet is not working well calls or Jeff dropped frequently. I am unsure whether this is a problem with Jabber or with the Internet connection. The reliability overall is low and often times we must use our personal cell phones to connect with other healthcare workers when jabber is not working well.
