ShinDig is uniquely dynamic among other event platforms

Commentaires : We're producing panels, workshops, and award shows that allow people to see each other in the room, the way they would at an in-person event. Interaction between attendees can be real live video chatting, not just text chatting. The rotating CTA widget is also great, because it allows us to provide our sponsors some additional real estate / web traffic.

Avantages :

Shindig has great customer service, and a responsive development team. Interaction between event attendees is more dynamic and flexible than other platforms. Customization and uploading backgrounds in the event rooms gives you the opportunity for fabulous aesthetics, and makes people really feel like they're "in the room," plus provides you plenty of branding opportunities. Being able to upload heavy video files and play them flawlessly is a great feature. And capturing recordings in full screen makes it like zoom, but way better. 6 podiums on the stage covers our needs. Shindig helps our events shine!

Inconvénients :

The wysiwyg editor for the event landing page is a little clunky and out of date, but you can work around it. We have used eventbrite for our ticketing, because shindig doesn't yet have complex registration options built in, such as multiple custom discount codes.

Shindig instead of in-person

Commentaires : We use Shindig for our yearly legal tech conference where we invite vendors and C-level executives to a rapid fire showcase on legal tech and workflows. Shindig works well for us because our guests like to connect with people of their choosing (not be pushed) and that breakout rooms could happen while someone was presenting on stage.

Avantages :

Love that it's easy to network and connect with people and that it's user friendly. I also really enjoy the live profile pics and the stage, LOVE the stage....really cool way to make you feel like you are really "there" live.

Inconvénients :

tech issues (i.e. what browser you are using, on VPN, etc)- although in fairness the tech issues are 95% user based but it does complicate things if you have to hand hold your audience.

Connecting Globally When Travel is Limited

Commentaires : We're really glad we choose Shindig. Our experience was overwhelmingly positive. People loved the private video chats and the poster sessions, and that they could easily click from room to room. We got so much positive feedback!

Avantages :

We loved the ability to have private chats in pods of various sizes. It was like mingling in real life.

Inconvénients :

Some of our participants would have been more comfortable having their cameras on if virtual backgrounds were available.

Closest to in-person virtual event as possible.

Commentaires : Shindig allowed us to host an virtual conference (postponed in-person conference) that provided participants with a unique, engaging and informal experience. They did not experience death by PowerPoint/lecture.

Avantages :

I like how Shindig allows for attendees to network with other attendees - video and text - without any involvement by the organizer.

Inconvénients :

I wish there was a way to have participants fully understand right away how to get the most out of their Shindig experience.

'a virtual experience as memorable as any in-person event'

Commentaires : Shindig allowed us to switch our Homecoming event to a virtual one seamlessly, while also allowing our global alumni community to join the experience.

Avantages :

Shindig allowed our alumni to catch-up with each-other in actual private conversations, yet still be apart of a bigger audience, and ask live questions, by video, to our keynote speakers.

Inconvénients :

The learning curb of how to best get the full shindig experience was challenging for some.
