Installation and activation take no time with the plugin, and you will be directed immediately to verify your web ownership. Besides useful reports on how your website performs, if Google has any problem indexing your webpages, Search Console will keep you informed and give detailed explanation on the cause and how to fix it.

Inconvénients :

The time lag from when I fix the problem as per the Google Search Console's crawl error reports to when Google actually validates the fix can be unusually long. I suppose you can contact the Search Console team directly for an earlier update, but fixes for simple errors should really be automatically validated.
