My swiss army knife

Commentaires : Its my go to book keeping tool I have used it I "Trust" it and would highly recommend it to any business no matter the industry or size .

Avantages :

Easy to understand so its easy to train new users I have used this software in my construction business and a store manager it easily helps me manage multiple pos devices both in store and in the field making tax forms and reports quick and easy to create .

Inconvénients :

There is a learning curve for some uses of the software

Commentaires : Our overall experience since using POS 19.0 has been BAD.

Avantages :

The system is fairly easy to use and generally intuitive.

Inconvénients :

Since they did the upgrade to 19.0 they removed the multiple email options. We have used Quickbooks POS for over 12 years and it worked well. There were a few minor things we had to work around, but that was okay and it served our company well. Since upgrading to 19.0 we have had nothing but problems. Feature were taken away, the screens freeze, it locks up our computers, etc. Then there is the service issue - it will shut down my entire POS system so I'll have customer calling or waiting and not POS, can't process credit cards, ets. You call for service and it 15 minutes or more to get assistance. You go online for "faster service" and get a technician that can't help. HORRIBLE customer service. Once in a while you'll get a good technician who is knowledgeable, but that is very rare.

They think of just about everything and they make it so easy that it almost does it itself

There's there's a lot of content so it can be a little confusing at first but once you get it going it is smooth sailing from there

QB Point of Sale Review

Commentaires : DIdn't require to be online as some other versions of a POS system do require. This is a nice feature as it is a pay one time not monthly.

Avantages :

Easy to adapt has two different screen settings that make it easy depending on your type of retail business that allows it easy to understand. If you are not a computer expert you can still feel smart using the POS software.

Inconvénients :

Price and if you do need to call for help, since it is a QB product support time is usually longer than you want. The support call time can be a problem if you have an issue with the POS system during normal operational hours.

Functional not pretty, gets the job done

Avantages :

Has customization - we have a quick pick category for most commonly bought items. Has useful features like reports, storing customer info, purchase orders.

Inconvénients :

It isn't very user friendly - have to x out of windows to get back to selling. User interface is ugly and in general a bit clunky. Could be user error... but nothing seems to scan once entered.

Great POS system for small business

Avantages :

I bought the simple version of Quickbooks POS and it had great features for an entry business. No limits on inventory list and great tool for customer loyalty rewarding. For being a simple version, this brings a lot of handy tools to track inventory and awesome sales report.

Inconvénients :

Very laggy when filled inventory list with 1000+ items. Also, the online feature needed to be on the expensive version, so it didn't offer it like other POS systems do without upgrading.

QB is the best software for small, growing and expanding businesses

Commentaires : Overall the software helped to improve the speed of processing public and private online sales of study materials. Facilitating easy transactions is great with this software.

Avantages :

There is no usage limits to any of the available plans. Pricing of the products is clear, no hidden costs. You can easily use the mobile application to track all functions.

Inconvénients :

The accessibility of the software is dependent upon the plan you choose. Everything is functional instead of stylish which for those looking for style and elegance can be a turn off.

Avantages :

Ease of setup and intetgration into our QB Enterprise software. We got system setup in under an hour and was connected to QB Finance and ringing up customers with a hour and a half.

Inconvénients :

How inventory goes into QB Financial but we developed a work around. Inventory needs to be able to use QB Finance as the main record for inventory

Great tool for business, has some irritating features.

Avantages :

This software can handle TONS of inventory. We have used the software for over 12 years, and now have over 15000 unique items. Each one is able to track purchasing history, selling history, even details down to the name of the customer who bought this item in march of 2005, what he paid, and what else he bought on the same ticket! We use it a lot for warranty issues, as we're able to see if someone truly bought an item from us, or if they bought it online, and are just trying to get us to fix it for free. Super useful!

Inconvénients :

Once you start, you cant stop... Well, that's probably true of any POS system. You end up with too much data to lose, so I couldn't change now even if I wanted to, not that I do. The real problem with being stuck is that you have to pay up for it. Every year, they stop supporting the version from 3 years back. I.e., in 2018 they stop supporting the 2015 version, in '19 they will stop suporting '16, etc. So, you're just fine until windows does some auto-update in the middle of the night. You come in to find out you can't run your business. So, you call support. Support tells you that your version is no longer supported, and it'll be cost per register to upgrade to the current version. Then you're good for another 2 years. We've done this for over 12 years. It's the same song and dance every time. Now I know, and I can budget for it. All in all, it's worth every penny. I've yet to find anything else that can handle such a large selection of inventory, with so much adaptability, for the price. Just know that the price is hardly a 1-and-done thing.

We have used QB POS Multi store for a couple years.

Avantages :

Ease of ringing up customers. It's very simple to start ringing people up. We didn't have to train our staff more than a couple minutes.

Inconvénients :

1. Tech support is horrible. There is a reason this is number one!!!!!! 2. If you have more than one computer at a location there are issues if you don't have a wired internet which brought us down for hours and hours and hours over weeks without anyone diagnosing this to be the issue. Customer service just kept logging in and changing the IP address without explaining what they were doing. I finally got a good tech support person that helped me figure it out and how to fix it on my own. (Do NOT use wireless internet. You MUST use hard wire to computer.) 3. We have inventory items that keep reappearing after deleting them. We then tried to merge them and they still keep reappearing. Tech support couldn't remove them either. This really messes up our reports. 4. We had a day that at the end of the day QB restarted and lost ALL the transactions for the day. We were never able to get the information back and it also took a weeks worth of transactions with it. Tech support never retrieved the information nor could explain what happened. 5. There is only 2 levels of departments. You have a "work around" for this by allowing you to customize a field, but you have to write the department name in each time. If you forget the exact word you used such as "snack" instead of "snacks" it won't run adequate reports. I can't imagine many places that don't need more departments. For example, I have "Tours" and "Merchandise" as my main departments. I want to have "Snacks" "Apparel" and even further under snacks I'd like to have "Cookies" "Chips", etc. 6. Sending and receiving files from Intuit server does not always go through. This would be ok if there were an error message, but there isn't. It just didn't send. The only way to be sure this didn't happen when running a report on headquarters is to check to see if there is information each day. I have more than one location so this is tedious. If I find a day that is missing I have to have the staff manually go in and resend data. 7. I'm sure I have MUCH more, but that was the ones I could think of off the top of my head and QB POS has taken up enough of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can find a better solution I would before you could blink your eyes. I am constantly looking and shopping around.

Avantages :

Our business has been using quick books POS since we opened our shop in Oct of 2004. We were advised that we needed to upgrade to quick books 19 as their systems don't last forever . our computer technician ( whom has installed over 60 quickbook programs) came and installed it on a Friday Morning . ( never do anything that has to do with banking on a Friday because you can't tell if things are working due to the banks being closed for the weekend) ! Turns out the Quickbooks system was faulty. which means no transactions were recorded. ( on our end it looked like everything was going through) . When Monday came and no sales where deposited the alarm in our heads went off. We thought since it was a new system maybe it needed one more day to settle and batch. Man where we wrong. We lost all sales and Merchandise from Friday- Tuesday. Quickbooks will not even talk to us! we have called dozens of times trying to figure things out and recoup our losses. Please think twice before using a business with no accountability. Being a small Mom and Pop you can imagine what this has done to our bottom line.

this is a business with no accountability. You can not get anyone of the phone to help. They have passed the buck every time that we have called . then they say we will call you back and they never do. Please think twice before using this company.

Commentaires : Quickbooks have chosen to freeze all of my deposits totaling $1,510.50 without providing any notification. I have called multiple times to ask:1) Why was my account frozen?2) Why wasn't I notified that my account would be frozen?3) What is the process to have my account unfrozen?4) May I speak with a supervisorEvery representative that I have spoken to in the last several days has not been able to answer any of the above reasonable questions. Nor has a supervisor returned my call. Quickbooks honestly does not care about its customers. Nor do they have the competence to relay simple information within a professional time frame and manner. I have already started with a new credit card processing company. This should not be rocket science for QuickBooks. I hope I can resolve this and move forward with my business. I hope this company goes out of business. Respectfully,JD

Quickbooks POS is very powerful, but requires a paid IT staff person to set up and maintain.

Commentaires : As powerful as a jet fighter plane, and just as complicated to learn to fly! Requires a very high committment to training and a competent bookkeeping and IT support staff.

Avantages :

Very, very powerful features and capability. An overwhelming number of features for customizing and controlling inventory.

Inconvénients :

Exceedingly complicated and difficult to learn. Would not recommend this to any business or non-profit that cannot afford to hire both bookkeeping and IT professionals to set up and keep the system maintained. Although Quickbooks POS and Quicbooks Bookkeeping software is supposed to be fully integrated, classifications set up in POS do not automatically port over to Quickbooks Bookkeeping software. Many of the reports are not intuitive to generate or interpret. Fixing after-the-fact sales errors in POS is problematic and overly complicated.

Commentaires : I used to do my inventory every Sunday evening. It would take me 5 to 7 hours a week. Now its done in minutes with QBPOS. We use Individual Point of Sale out of PA to purchase, and maintain our POS systems.

Avantages :

This software has given me abilities that other camping resorts envy. Every time I tell other campground owners how QB POS can trend, suggest orders, track inventory, and that it has endless reports that integrates right into Quick books, they are floored.

Inconvénients :

We really dont have any dislikes with the software. It performs well and runs reliably. We are on our second generation of hardware, and the software is stable and fast.

Customer Service Nightmare

Avantages :

We had hoped it would work with our QuickBooks accounting program, but that wasn't as easy as we had been told.

Inconvénients :

The customer service is outsourced and their reps have very little grasp of the English language. Our experience was so horrendous that QuickBooks refunded the entire amount we had paid for their product after hearing about what we had to endure.

Avantages :

Absolutely nothing. It is overpriced and under featured. It does not work as advertised.

Inconvénients :

It does not function as advertised. Intuit doesn't listen to customer complaints, calls, emails, feedback via the app. It is like talking to the wall. They do not release patches or fixes, ever. Multi-store is absolutely terrible. Like who is going to upload and download files nightly between stores? What century is this? Come on Intuit, fix this POS.

WORST SUPPORT IN THE HISTORY OF BUSINESS

Commentaires : If there was less there was less than one star for customer support I would give it that. I was down an entire week! And they didn't even care. You can't contact anybody that is of any help. I now have sales up and running but my item list and inventory list can't be tracked. This is the worst company on the face of the planet run away!!!

There are some nice inventory management features but other than that it is crap!

Robust but very clunky

Commentaires : QuickBooks POS was our original product for inventory and sales in our retail store. While it is robust and simplifies many aspects of accounting, the overall feel and look were just not conducive to everyday business operations.

Avantages :

The integration between QuickBooks POS and QuickBooks itself is, as one should expect, outstanding! Both programs work exceptionally well together and make accounting very streamlined.

Inconvénients :

The user interface is very "clunky," meaning that it is sometimes difficult to navigate. For newer users, the visual presentation is overwhelming and has a rather uncomfortable feel to it.

QB POS is worth a try

Avantages :

QuickBooks POS is a very affordable system. You get a lot of bang for your buck. Excellent at tracking inventory. QuickBooks tech support cannot be beat.

Inconvénients :

Reports are clunky and hard to navigate. The POS system does not connect with QuickBooks desktop as well as it should.

Commentaires : Pretty terrible , Will be moving to a different pos as soon as we can. Support is non existent

Avantages :

None No tech support and after you wait for an hour they don’t speak English and hang up on you

Inconvénients :

Clunky interface, having to wait over an hour for tech support and then having them hang up on you, having chargebacks and not being able to dispute them even though we had all the information for the card and the owners signature.

Support help is not very good. Whe you call they wont help you right away. I never get anyone that speaks english well enough
