En savoir plus sur Redmine
Redmine aide les équipes de toutes tailles à livrer leurs projets de manière cohérente dans les délais et les limites du budget.
I love its Git integrations, flexible time tracking options and multiple databases support, even though it may take a bit of tinkering the first time around.
The installation process can be a pain for novices: You have to prepare your VM installing Ruby, then Ruby Gems and others gems to make advances functions to work.

Even if you use another tool, you have Redmine to thank
Commentaires : Our marketing teams felt overwhelmed by the complexity if Jira. We just couldn't make it work. Redmine, however, with a set of agile plugins, allowed us to have a true kanban board and implement really robust scrum workflows using Redmine. It was a tremendous experience and really helps us tackle our weekly tasks.
Avantages :
Being an open source project, Redmine has driven out the excess costs from project management and issue tracking software. Almost every other enterprise software project has to keep in mind that their customers can always choose a free and highly customizable read mine installation as an alternative, so Redmine makes the entire ecosystem more robust. What I really like the most is the low overhead for the server so that you can run a very large installation for hundreds or thousands of users on a low cost EC2 instance with extremely good performance. Checkout AWS LightSail if you want AWS specifically. If you're on a tight budget and want something implemented quickly, Redmine is the way to go. There are even hosted solutions out there like Plan.io that take away all the technical requirements for you.
Inconvénients :
Out of the box, you will need to get a better skin and probably customize a lot of the UI to make it look more visually appealing. The overall design a Redmine feels a little dated now, so you will need to download other themes or probably purchase a paid one to make it feel more modern and usable.

Versatility = Redmine as Bug Tracker/Project Manager
Commentaires : Redmine is my de-facto BTS every company I go. I am very happy with its stability, versatility and easy to use for the end user.
Avantages :
Redmine is a powerful Bug tracker system with such a flexibility that you can use it as your CMS if you want. There is a ton of plugins to install. You can use Redmine as a CRM, ERP, Payroll, etc... as long as the community around it can imagine a use case, it will exist. There are some paid services which customize Redmine to run as a full ERP, but I have no experience with them.
Inconvénients :
The installation process can be a pain for novices: You have to prepare your VM installing Ruby, then Ruby Gems and others gems to make advances functions to work. The source control system interface is good, but hard to install and configure. You will have better luck if you download a Bitnami VM or an AWS Appliance Image. There is a Docker image as wall, but I have no experience with it.
Redmine Software Review
Commentaires : Fun and smooth, having that feeling of sentiment not overshadowing it's overall usability.
Avantages :
What I love best about Redmine is the ease of using it, nothing feels too complicated. It's also free!
Inconvénients :
I would say that UI looks as if very outdated, it has a look of the early 2000s. However, others may argue that this is stylish, and there is some merit to this, I'd agree.
Alternative for JIRA
Commentaires :
I was working with Redmine for about a year and a half and I have to admit - it wasn't as good as I would have liked. One of its biggest advantages is the low price of the app (compared to market alternatives). Customer service was good and helpful - each time I had a problem, someone resolved it quite quickly. Also, Redmine has a huge number of features and plugins that can be added and used with it but...
A lot of these plugins are outdated or abandoned. I had a couple of problems with them (usually didn't want to work as expected). Because of that, integration with external apps may be problematic, especially if a user chooses some less-known software. To tell the truth, the number of plug-ins does not come close to the number of plug-ins created for apps of its biggest market competitors. The community gathered around Redmine is not so big compared to other existing management solutions. And the last thing and in my opinion the biggest disadvantage of Redmine - the design. The app feels outdated and clumsy. A lot of elements are not visible or they are blending with nearby elements. It is easy to mistake one project for another, especially if they are named similarly.
To sum up, it is a good solution if you have a rather small company with a small number of projects and don't want to pay much for a Project Management tool. If not, I would choose any of the competitors.
Avantages :
A number of features. Low price. Customer service.
Inconvénients :
Design, design, and one more time design. Average mechanics of the app. Integration with other IT apps. Relatively small community

Was our companion-tool of choice for many projects
Commentaires : Redmine is a powerful and versatile project management tool. However, its outdated user interface may be a turnoff for some users. We used it because it was highly configurable and could run on our hardware or in totally in Intranet in some sensitive projects. We used it since 2006 or so for many years.
Avantages :
Redmine is a feature-rich project management tool with everything you need to manage projects of all sizes. It is easy to use with a clean and intuitive interface. It can be integrated with a variety of other tools and self-hosted, giving you more control over your data and security.
Inconvénients :
The interface of Redmine always looked dated for every version.

Flexible Project Management
Commentaires : We're customized Redmine to support several aspects of our IT business. Its made it easy to departmentalize things such as Change Requests, Active Directory Request and General Ticket. We've even integrated it into a Self Serve IT tool we recently launched. Its branched several moved pieces together.
Avantages :
Redmine supports countless user created plugins. This provides a lot of potential for how Redmine can be used. In our case, we customized Redmine to function as an inexpensive IT Change Management / Ticketing Tool.
Inconvénients :
Slight learning curve at first. But Redmine has a lot of forums available, so any challenge you face or feature you may struggle with surely has a forum post about it. I always found the solution to my problem before long.

It's good but old
Commentaires : Some years ago, maybe this software was great, not it's a bit old and hard to use compared to the compoetence
Avantages :
You can manage a lot of projets It's GNU/GPL (open source) Capacity to track versions A lot of customizations for all tickets
Inconvénients :
Nowadays the design is a bit obsolete A bit slow on big projects Hard to manage tickets (filter is old school components)

Use Redmine for yours daily tasks
Commentaires : We use Redmine to record everyday task tasks. We would like more resources for project management and agile methodologies. This is generally a good tool, but it depends on your goals.
Avantages :
Redmine is a great tool for daily tasks. It is opensource and has several plugins that offer more features. Its API allows for easy integration with other software.
Inconvénients :
Project management features are lacking. It is very confusing and the presentation is not good. You need reports too, although new ones can be created using the API. Features for agile methodologies are very important. There is a plugin, but it does not offer a good backlog presentation.
Redmine for IT issue/bug tracking across Epics
Commentaires : Moderately positive. If you don't have the money for Basecamp or Jira, it's a cheaper alternative. The cost you pay is for the bugs you see while running it.
Avantages :
It was easy to use the software; most of it was intuitive and it had an impressive link-back and drill-down system. I liked that we could customize dashboards and pull some basic metrics out of the funnels. Since we were a smaller team that used it, we didn't have large amounts of issues/data problems, so it was nice to have everything loading in context and faster.
Inconvénients :
Open source setup, so lots of bugs. Some things like email notifications never worked properly. Was hard to integrate other things with it (though this may have gotten better). Sometimes we would lose access to tickets and issues, and sometimes they disappeared out of the system, or we'd see duplications.
REDMINE
Avantages :
Easy log in and easy to create new tickets. Many other programs have multiple approval steps, this program makes it easy and efficient.
Inconvénients :
Hard to look up specific project without know exactly how the ticket was opened.
Very complete tool, with lots of customization. Lacks a little in the UI area
Commentaires : I've been working with Redmine for almost 4 years for a particular project, as it was something the client asked for. Although we were never able to use the latest version of Redmine, we've updated a couple of times to more recent versions. I saw little to no change in the UI between those. There is a lot of room for improvement to make the tool more user-friendly. Nevertheless, Redmine has always proven it's worth where it excels. Project, Task and Time management are tasks completely assisted and boosted while using Redmine. Reporting gives you as much information as you need. Customization is very flexible and allows changes on several levels, either server, project or user-wise.
Avantages :
Redmine offers a whole lot of features. Customization allows enabling or disabling them to adjust the tool to your needs. Project management features are quite handy when working with a team and you need to manage a schedule. Time management is also a very good feature to be aware how much effort you put into a particular task.
Inconvénients :
The interface is a little too "enterprisey", this means it's ability to show you as much information as possible makes it a little complex to see this information in a friendly manner. Editing information is also a little clunky and not very intuitive.
Good open source ticketing software
Commentaires : A useful ticketing system as well as a time tracking system for free, as it is open source.
Avantages :
I used this software in two companies that had it customized to their needs. So the possibility to customize features to fit the company workflow seems to be properly working. We used the time tracking feature to know which part of a project was taking more time than planned. The ticket's features are very useful for teamwork as you can see who worked on what task and when. You can also easily add documents attached to the task, and even write some Wiki for projects that may need it.
Inconvénients :
Redmine can be quite complicated to use, for one not used to software like this. For example we used to open parts of the software for clients when we were doing fine tuning on applications and websites, and often the client needed a small training to be able to create ticket and answer questions on the ticket.
User/mid size companies want a free bug tracking tool then I would recommend to use Redmine tool.
Commentaires : This is a very good tool for any small or mid sized companies and then need a free bug tracking tool then absolutely I recommend to use Redmine.
Avantages :
Any small or mid sized companies need a free bug tracking tool then absolutely I would recommend to use Redmine. Because it is quite easy to use and have all basic features you need for tracking defects. you can create a bug tracking tickets without struggle a much. It is having the simple interface and quick layout for project and even task entry and also good filtering system for sorting through tasks.
Inconvénients :
This tool mainly miss the some useful features like you cannot edit created defects or tasks, only write comments to them. So definitely at the time of creation you have to take care of the bug. UI Layout is looks like outdated and we cannot feel like working on a new or advanced software.
It's competency in ticket tracking is superb
Commentaires : You do not have to be a tech savvy in order to use this application, just let your IT admin to set it up in your computer, then it's all good. All you have to know is what kind of ticket you are going to create and what are its details.
Avantages :
1. Easy to customize, you can create and select different trackers for your ticket 2. Custom fields allows you to display what are the necessary inputs needed for your ticket. 3. Able to create your own template 4. Create your filter that can be visible to others if you want to. 5. Easy viewing of the ticket status through Roadmap, Agile, or Backlogs (from old version) and etc.,
Inconvénients :
I don't have any cons about using Redmine, it reached my satisfaction. It sends you mail for every changes in the ticket, and that makes me on track.
There are better alternatives
Commentaires : As a first approach in teams organizations, it's an useful tool, but it should modernize its interface. The wiki section is well constructed, in fact, nowadays, after stop using redmine as a team/task planner, it's the only element we are still using. The proyect managing have been changed to Trello
Avantages :
Redmine was the first proyect manager / team planner we used and it was helpful in order to control task completions, progress and term deviations. The incorporated wiki section is useful in order to get all the activities well documentated between team members.
Inconvénients :
The interface is not so friendly, it seems 'old fashioned' and it's not suitable to use from a mobile device. Nowadays that other tools let's you use its infrastructure, the first setup is only reserved to IT personal because it must be installed on the server side, so it's not a tool anyone can configure.
Redmine - Flexible Open Source Project management software
Commentaires : We use Redmine to track support issues for our developers. We can see who is working on what issues and how far along they are. We can re-assign issues to different teams. It works well with not too many problems.
Avantages :
Redmine keeps track of multiple task and projects. You can track issues, email issues into specific projects, track team members activity for solving the tasks or issues. There are templates that make it easy track progress of common issues/task. Overall it take a small learning curve but is a very powerful project tracking and management software.
Inconvénients :
It takes awhile to learn all of the features and customization.
Redmine make my project easier
Commentaires : Overall, I'm really excited and get helping from this software. Thank you for making great Project Management software that can make easier to use and increase my time to get another thing than coordination manually to the team.
Avantages :
Task management, and collaboration can be set up within minutes. It can increase our time to manage other things and make sure the project running well from update in Redmine.
Inconvénients :
Resource booking not shown more effective, maybe Redmine team can improve some point in Resource Booking feature
Useful web-based project management and issue tracking tool like JIRA
Avantages :
You can tell that this is another version of JIRA, here you can manage your resources by assigning different tasks to different people and can track all of them from one redmine ticket. A parent ticket can have multiple child tickets and it gets connected with your source code repository.
Inconvénients :
JIRA like chart features, graphical views, and tracking are not present
Good tool but needs a refresh
Commentaires : Good option for keeping teams organized around the work and more budget friendly than JIRA.
Avantages :
Simplicity is Redmine's strength by far. It's got a no-frills interface and everything is fairly straightforward and easy to navigate.
Inconvénients :
It's a little feature-lacking compared to some of the other platforms that do the same thing. I definitely find myself frustrated by the search feature for instance.
A versatile bug tracking system
Commentaires : This is a good tool for managing projects. Almost all the project workflow has been merged into this tool: we can also generate automated changelogs and time-tracking reports. It has a plugin repository where you can find some useful extensions, like a template manager for writing issues based on a specific format. We take advantage of its API to notify when a task is delayed, or to give the end-user a voice, so he can write the tickets directly into our platform.
Avantages :
The most important thing is its simplicity: from the configuration to the end-user usage, everything is easy and practical to setup and start writing issues. It acan be integrated against LDAP-based authentication systems. The workflow of the issues can be configured easily in the admin panel. Its interface can be changed using templates where you can put your own logo and relevant information regarding your business logic.
Inconvénients :
The set-up was very difficult, but it can be easily achieved installing with docker images. Due its simplicity, the business logic may not be described in terms of the application, so complex workflows may need light modifications to be compatible with the Redmine platform. Readmine doesn't handle agile tools like Scrum or Kanban boards, so if you or your company uses agile methodologies, Redmine may not fit your business workflow. Of course, you can extendend to agile if you purchase or install extensions, but it doesn't support it natively.
Perfect value for money
Commentaires : I like this app. It is quiet old looking but things getting better in-time. Perfect for lower budget organizations.
Avantages :
App contains lots of different features for issue tracking and management. You can provide lots of details in issue. Also time tracking and expenses feature are perfect.
Inconvénients :
This app is very good for low budget projects. You can get better alternative but mostly for more money. The UI looks a bit old and it can be a bit harder to find some feature.
Great tool for organizing projects
Avantages :
We use this in order to manage our projects at work. Not only is it helpful to keep track of everything that you have going on, but it can also let your boss easily see what you're working on without having to ask. It is also highly collaborative which is helpful for us as our office has locations in multiple different states.
Good Tool To Manage Projects and Employees
Avantages :
In my company we use it to manage the amount of hours an employee work in different projects every single week, i love it because you get to have a full vision of employees behavior.
Inconvénients :
Sometimes when you're assiging hours to projects you're involve in it throws an error and you lose everything you had written before that.
