Galaxy Backup Review

Commentaires : It really proved to be effective since i was able to recover all data from my previous phone S3 without a hustle which included data of prevous clients i had met with in a business meetings i had attended.

Avantages :

I love it cause it helped me to recover my S3 phone data. which screen had broken it proved to be efficient since i brought a new S4 galaxy and after signing with my samsung galaxy account everything automatically updated it self to my new phone. That's amazing.

Inconvénients :

It can only be effective if you have a samsung galaxy phone.

Commvault - the leading data protection solution

Commentaires : Commvault has supported me in my career for the past 8 years. It always proved to be reliable and efficient

Avantages :

ease of use and the fact that it covers a lot of technologies

Inconvénients :

maybe the activate module which is rather difficult to set up

Why we are looking else were for a back-up solution

Avantages :

We have made multiple appointments but I never connected. I was ask to go into Office, but no detailed instructions.

Inconvénients :

Tech Support - very hard to get the assistance needed

Good software but must improve

Commentaires : Good solution for backup Office 365 produts. Price is very interesting option.
Must improve some options but in my opinion, good option for use for SMB

Good interface and easy deploy. Price is low respect other similar products.

Inconvénients :

Schedule backup jobs can't configure as my needs.

Commentaires : CV Cloud has allowed me a lot more freedom to address the other data protection solutions at my disposal, and build out my data protection policies to be more thorough.

Avantages :

It's very nice to not have to rely on an on-site datacenter in regards to backup- having data in multiple locations is always a plus. I also like the security measures in place within CV Cloud, allowing for additional hurdles for any bad actor.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally there are data discrepancies, but between the customer support, and the regular updates, they're rarely more than an inconvenience.

Commentaires : Commvault accelerates routine and is always evolving. Ensuring data protection and management.

Avantages :

Commvault is recommended for all types of organizations, from the smallest to the largest.

Inconvénients :

Console but I know that they are increasingly integrating all the features into the web console.

Thumbs up for HyperScale

Commentaires : Easy implementation which provides a proper HA solution for sites, functions as expected.

Avantages :

It's not a black box solution. Adjustments to the environment can be made, some with help of Commvault. Gluster functionality, no more rebuilding disks and data is always available!

Inconvénients :

It is based on a Linux foundation, sorry not a Linux admin :) Limited in devices which can be connected when using appliance.

Inconvénients :

Too many features result in complexity in troubleshooting

This is the best tool for the Full server and DATABASE Backup. We can easily take a backup of that server those size are more than 1 TB also. One touch recovery is the best feature in it. Best for the replication, Admin Console Dashboard is Good. Backup configuration is easy. Can easily push a agent on client server.Best for the replication.

Inconvénients :

There are storage policy, Schedule policy, Linbrary need to configure saperately. Will suggest to merge this for better user friendly. Tool taking long time while deplyoing.

Amazing Backup tool

Avantages :

This is the powerful tool on the data management. We can take the backup of various types of Database. Replication Platform is good. Java console GUI is very much good. Best on cross platform replication.

Inconvénients :

Need to minimize the compute resources for the tool deployment on the server. Aux copy job report only showing a source and Destination. If server details can fetch in aux copy then it will be a good.

Best backup Tool

Avantages :

It is a best for the backup and restoration. GUI console is best. Admin console is best for the support. Can easily configure the Agent backup, Best tool for the SAP Clients Backup environment.

Inconvénients :

Ports needs required for the a Agent configuration. faced issue many times while extracting .tar file package in linux server.

Metallic is the Apple of Backup and Recovery Solutions!

Commentaires : My overall experience with Metallic has been AMAZING! I can't say enough things good about them. The pricing the support and getting up and going was so easy. I call them the Apple of Backup solutions because its true. One call and they get you all setup until your data is protected! They will work with big and small businesses which I personally like. Everyone needs protection.

Avantages :

I like how easy it is to get setup and started. You can be up and running backing up your office 365 same day! I put in a request for service within that day I was speaking with a rep to get me activated and up and running. Its gives me peace of mind that I can set this up and running same day and move forward on with my day.

Inconvénients :

There isn't any experience I could say that is bad. The experience I had with them was nothing but good.

Good one for backup environment.

Avantages :

Tool is best. We can easily configure the all types of backup like full server, Database type. Best for the HANA DB Sap Backup. Replication is a advance feature in it. Storage, schedule, retention policies are best described.overall Strong tool and having multiple and required option in single tool.

Inconvénients :

Deployment is hard, Troubleshooting on the errors are very hard.

We use it for backing up servers

Avantages :

We use this to back up servers such as SharePoint sites and documents. It is easy to browse the backup files and restore individual files or entire site collections. This is not a product for end users, only administrators can access the backups and perform restores.

Inconvénients :

Slightly dated looking but is otherwise functional and easy to use. Installation and set up can be daunting the first time around.

Migrated to Hyperscale and no looking back

Commentaires : As the title says "Migrated to Hyperscale and no looking back". We have great sales people and excellent support from Commvault.

Avantages :

The speed of the backup. Being on a Linux platform, not having to constantly be rebooting MAs because of running out of memory or other issues. It great to come in the morning and have everything done and not spending the morning re-running failed jobs.

Inconvénients :

Being the 1st in our state and one of the 1st 50 customers, there were lots of growing pains. Biggest issue is the extra hardware spend for 10 GB switches for the HS network. Also, as mentioned, having to add 3 nodes at a time. Also, spending over 3 months to figure out how to route DASH copies over a different route than configured.

Best in class backup and recovery tool

Commentaires : I have been using CommVault software from past 5 years. I have used couple of more backup solution but I like CommVault the most due to its simplicity. Also, Commvault is not just a backup tool it is a complete data management solution.

It is very easy to use backup tool. GUI of Commvault is easy to understand and we can easily recover the data.

Inconvénients :

Dr replication setup is little bit difficult in Commvault but we can configure it by using KB's available in Commvault support docs.

very much best backup tool

Avantages :

It's having multiple features are presently impactful Like we can take Full, File(Dump path) or Database backup through it. same we can do a CDR replication and Restoration trough it. We can set Daily/weekly/monthly/yearly types of retention in this tool. Can easily configure multiple Database backups in it. Best GUI, can easily handle, Monitoring also.

Inconvénients :

Having little hard while doing first time deployment. Extractor should be available for Linux OS also. If it will get then anyonecan install the agent directly.

Nice all in one product for cloud and on prem

Avantages :

Metallic has a nice web based console that consolidates all off their product line. It was important for us to be able to continue to use our distributed onsite storage for targets rather than the cloud and this allows that. They also offer Dynamics and 365 backups.

Inconvénients :

Our biggest concern was they are unable to target tape devices, who uses those right? But we wanted to be able to at one location as a secondary backup. The pro's won out though and we want with them.

Commvault backup and recovery tool is easy to understand and easy to use backup tool.

Avantages :

The commvault software provide us data management for Backup and recovery options. It the most easiest tool to manage the backups and recover the same if any server crash is happened.

Inconvénients :

In some cases it is difficult to manage the DR replications from commvault tool. But after referring SOPs we can handle as much possible.

Metallic is easy, secure, and reliable.

Commentaires : It handles endpoint backups very well. Encrypted and reliable.

Avantages :

Once Metallic is setup, you can forget about it and let it do its thing. I like the daily reports that I've setup to run and I don't have to worry about it.

Inconvénients :

The user interface can be a little tricky but not hard to understand and configure.

An all encompassing back up solution

Avantages :

Commavault has come along way from when we started using them back on V6. We now use them for a single pane of glass backups.. Virtual, physical, exchange, DB.

Inconvénients :

I guess the least thing I like is some of the documentation is hard to follow. There are so many different ways to configure agents and sometimes the documentation does not follow the UI.
