I can run my law practice at home on my Mac with GoToMyPC

Commentaires : I started using it as a necessity during the pandemic shut down. It's now enabled me to keep my home office running and I love being able to work from home.

Avantages :

I can use my Mac at home to run my PC remotely. The Mac doesn't run my legal management software. But using GoToMyPC, I can open my work computer from anywhere my Mac or my MacAir Laptop or even my iPad goes.

Inconvénients :

My office computer does have to stay on all the time. It does sometimes (rarely) lose the connection and I need to reinstall GoToMyPC. I think that's happened three times since I started using it 3 years ago so that's not so bad!

The best for remote access

Commentaires : I've used quite a few other remote desktop programs, but for ease of use, and features, I haven't found anything as good as GoToMyPC. It has all the features that I need, such as remote printing, screen blanking and dual monitor support. I can also use it wherever I need, and don't have to worry about purchasing a bunch of licenses if I need to use different PC's to access my work computer.

Avantages :

It's extremely reliable and easy to use. The fact that I can use it anywhere with any PC is exactly what I need.

Inconvénients :

Occasionally, especially with software that converts to a PDF before printing, it can take longer than I would like for the print to start printing.

Useless crap

Commentaires : Horrible. No support. Yesterday's "degraded performance" debacle was the last straw.

Inconvénients :

This product WAS useful. Years ago, before it was purchased by whomever... Between the down time and cost I wouldnt recommend this useless app to my dog.

We've happily depended on it for over a decade

Commentaires : GoToMtPC functionality is essential to the company and I would have switched long ago if I had had any issues. But there are none. Loging in is easy, setting up additional users is easy, connections always work.

Avantages :

My company has an operational center in Hawaii, as well as a home office on a different Hawaiian island and one in California. We also have a few remote workers. GoToMyPC is essential for the right people to be able to access the same central computer.

Inconvénients :

We cross train all staff, but adding everyone as a seat to GoToMyPC would make it expensive when some people might only need to fill in for a team member for a little while.

Great Product

Commentaires : I've never had any issues with GoToMyPC and so have never needed to contact customer support. The platform is stable and does exactly what I need.

Avantages :

What I like most about GoToMyPC is that since I have basically become bedridden because of stage 4 cancer, GoToMyPC has allowed me to continue to do most of my work remotely from home and literally from my bed. I have an office manager on site, but there are some functions of the company that he is still unable to do at this point. This allows me to continue to move my business forward and have complete control over my finances without disrupting the everyday business of my office manager.

Inconvénients :

Honestly, the only thing I don't like is the cost. I started with LogMeIn and was a loyal user for years and then the price skyrocketed. I found GoToMyPC, which seems like basically the same platform and possibly the same corporate ownership. However, GoToMyPC pricing was back to what I was used to. But now several years in to GoToMyPC the pricing continues to goes us. All I truly need in a product like this is the ability to access my desktop and print to either my printer at work or at home.

Retail - Point of Sale Support

Commentaires : GoToMyPC has been easy to use. With other remote software we have had trouble with remote printing and getting the print setting correct.

Avantages :

We use GoToMyPC to remotely manage our retail store system. It makes it easy to login when the staff is having a problem with balancing the register or invoicing. We can login see the what they are doing & walk through the process with them. We also use it to update inventory.

Inconvénients :

Cost. We are a small business & I wish they would have better pricing for small businesses.

Go to my PC is the best that I have tried

Avantages :

The system is as quick as the computer systems that you are using. When I work remotely, it feels and acts like I am at my computer at work. I also appreciate printing from my remote loction as some systems don't allow for it or the system doesn't work well. The sizing and appearance of all the applications look and work well remotely as well. The system is also very easy to access and implement so I have no hesitation in utilizing it on a daily basis.

Inconvénients :

I set the system for maximum speed and minimum graphics. If the requirements of the job included graphics, the system would work significantly slower. I can't compare, since I have not tried any of those applications on this or any other system. The price is also much higher than the competition, but it is worth it for what I need to accomplish.

For simple and easy-to-use access at home or on the road

Avantages :

Ease of use and access. Very simple to login and be working from home or road

Inconvénients :

Price. Probably based on security protocol, but we are a small business. Seems like prices are always made for the enterprise users and never the small businesses. Thus you have a break-even point where you pay for additional products for your employees or you pay for them to have remote access to work from home. The bigs don't have to worry about the per-unit cost of either of those options as much as small businesses do.

Could not operate without GoToMyPC

Commentaires : Experience has been excellent. Was a life-saver during Covid lock-downs, and as a result, my business is now 100% remote.

Ability to access my clients' computer & file transfer capabilities

There is no feature that I dislike. However, pricing is a bit steep for a small business owner servicing multiple clients.

One of the Best Remote Access Available

Commentaires : I use GoToMyPC every day to access documents that I need on remote computers. It is terrific! The file transfer is easy and fast.

Avantages :

GoToMyPC is extremely easy to set up, to use, to teach to others. You can use it on any platform, any time. Very user friendly and when I did have an issue, the customer service rep was very pleasant and fixed our issue in no time.

Inconvénients :

There is really nothing that I don't like about GoToMyPC!

GoToMyPc is Indispensible to my business!

Commentaires : GoToMyPC gives me the ability to do almost everything I would do at the store, at home.. This frees me up immeasurably and gives me an amazing amount of flexibility with my schedule as I run two businesses 45 minutes apart.

Avantages :

Being able to work remotely from my home office keeps me from spending extra hours each work after closing in my store. At home I can do everything I need to do for accounting- pay bills, enter bills, enter EOPs, reconcile all of my bank account and credit card. I can put orders together, do sales analysis, work on any file I have on my work desktop that isn't at home. If, during business hours, an employee is having an issue I can log-on to GOTOMYPC and walk them through a resolution or figure out how to rectify it later. Being able to have a home office where I get more work done than at 'the office' is a huge part of what gives me a great work-life balance.

Inconvénients :

I can't think of anything I don't like about GoToMyPC. It does everything I have ever needed it to do, I've never run into a situation where I can't do something I want it to; I can even print reports that I pull up on the remote computer on my home printer.

GoToMyPC is a huge asset to my work routine.

Commentaires : I have been using GoToMyPC for well over 10 years. I feel it is a great application. No matter where I am I can log into my desk PC and my 3 monitors just as if I am sitting in my office. As long as I have a basic internet connection in both locations I can work uninterrupted for hours if need be. I can be at home, at a client, the airport, at sea, anywhere. I can log in to my desk from my iPhone if I need to in a pinch. My 3 screens will be small but I can easily zoom in where I need to see. Jumping from screen to screen is easy. It is no difference than being at my desk except my busy office does not distract me. It’s a good option when I have an important project that I prefer to finish away from the office. Over the years it has been a huge asset for me and I would recommend it to any frequent computer user that can benefit from remote access to their office or home computer.

Avantages :

Simple to use and log in. good support when needed which is infrequently. Reliable and consistent function. Only a basic wired or wireless connection is needed.

Inconvénients :

Prices took a large jump few years ago, but they eventually dropped back down to a reasonable level. Discounts were offered to me by their sales team.

Remote Work Locations

Commentaires : I prepare tax returns outside of my home where the main servers are. I can use a basic computer anywhere and log in to my work computer and have at my fingertips everything I need without leaving data on the guest computer

Avantages :

This product has allowed my partner and myself to work from the host computer or a guest computer anywhere we want and need to. We truly would be forever lost with out this product and would not be able to have satellite offices with out it. I would recommend this to anyone who works outside a stationary office location. You will LOVE it!

Inconvénients :

It seems like if I get a new printer I will have to uninstall and reinstall the software to get the connection. But as well it could be simply I do not know any other way, I am not tech savy.

Reliable, Great Product

Avantages :

The accessibility to the computer network at my office is excellent. GoToMyPC allows me to work from home, access files while meeting with clients, and access files while at the courthouse as needed. GoToMyPC is cost effective and reliable. I have never experienced an outage unless the "home" computer is offline. GoToMyPC is easy to install and easy to use. I highly recommend this product to businesses of any size.

Inconvénients :

The only frustration I have is sometimes I cannot print documents saved on the "home" to my local computer. This just started recently and I have yet to troubleshoot the issue.

Excellent Product for Critical Need

Commentaires : This was easy to install and use, good customer support. A critical part of our operations that we can rely on.

Avantages :

This allows our station team to monitor and make daily program updates easily and efficiently; also enables us to monitor when needed. Use friendly with very good customer support. If you need to rely on a remote access application, this has worked very well our, highly recommended.

Inconvénients :

Can't really think of anything, except that finding phone support took a little more effort than expected.

Well worth it for our dental office!

Commentaires : My overall experience with GoToMyPC has been fantastic. We are a small dental practice with no extra staff. If our front desk person is home sick, they can still use remote access to help me with questions I may have about patient benefits or copayments. That can be a lifesaver if you are a dental assistant trying to do both clinical and administrative duties.

Avantages :

I tried GoToMyPC during covid when our office was closed for some time. I had tried another similar service but always had trouble with remote printing. Not with GoToMyPC! It was easy to set up and get started. I am still using it multiple times a week. I am able to access my work station/dental software from home, allowing me to post insurance payments to patient accounts, print insurance claims, update benefits, view my schedule and more. It is awesome.

Inconvénients :

It has a slow reaction time when I print something.

I travel allot & use this on a daily basis & never had a problem with GoToMyPC. It even works with my cell phone hot spot. If you need access to another computer elsewhere this is the app you need to use. We have used this for over 20 years.

Inconvénients :

My only problem isn't with GoToMyPC it's with my internet connection.

Long-Time User

Commentaires : We are able to work remotely, handle patient problems immediately, check our upcoming schedules, handle pressing issues during natural disasters, etc...

Avantages :

This product is used for a private dental practice (Periodontics & Implant Dentistry) and has been used for 15-17 years by our same office! It has always been secure, fast and user friendly, even from the beginning!

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the internet gets stuck or is slow but it could be our host computer.

Build your business with GoToMyPC

Commentaires : My office is short staffed at this time. Because of my husband's illness, I am unable to physically go into the office. Without GoToMyPC, I would be unable to send my insurance claims. I literally use GoToMyPC 7 days a week.

Avantages :

Most useful features of GoToMyPC are ease of use and always reliable. Allows most in office tasks to be performed without problems.

Inconvénients :

I have been using GoToMyPC for 16 or more years. I have never had a problem.

Remote working made easy!

Commentaires : This software has made it easy for me to attend to multiple locations and given me the ability to login and assist or work no matter where I am. I've recommended it to many others as an easy way to navigate within a small business with more than one location. It's made it working remotely an option.

Sometimes it's a tad confusing when I load onto a different computer that has a different version of windows, but overall, I am very happy with this software so having a "least" isn't something I just thought of.

there are very few bumps in the road to most effective use of the application. Occasional lapse in remote printing and past problems with pop up ads on entering seem to have been solved.
