Commentaires : I am a teacher and I love this program. It is by far my favorite program to use as an online grade book. It would be nice if you could attach assignments, but overall, it is great.

Avantages :

I love the layout, design and functionality of this program. Like most programs, it does take some time to learn it, but it is worth it and very much worth the time to review everything that it can do to make you and your students' lives easier. With some practice, it is easy to navigate, especially after you have invested the time it takes to set up all of your classes. Using it on a daily basis is the easy part, you just have to make sure you fully understand how to use it first (like with everything in life).

Inconvénients :

At first, it takes some time to learn/remember all the details in order to set up your classes the best way for you and your students.

Infinite Campus, and education management system with infinite possibilities!

Commentaires : We have used it for about eight years, and every few weeks I learn about a new function that makes student data easier to manage and access.

Avantages :

I like the fact that student attendance, behavior, schedules, parent contacts, grade books, communication tools, and final grades are in one place and can be cross-referenced as necessary. I absolutely love the digital behavior referrals, that are instant and digital.

Inconvénients :

It was slightly complicated to navigate at first and to access its infinite functions.

Clunky Software Designed by an Engineer Without a Teacher in Mind.

Commentaires : I have found it to be archaic, clunky, and not practical. It integrates poorly with other software.

Avantages :

There are lots of features from an admin perspective that allow for scheduling, record keeping, and grading.

Inconvénients :

The designers clearly never consulted a teacher to see what would make their lives easy. Entering behavior referrals, grades, and assignments is a multi-multi step process often obscured by options that aren't relevant.

Avantages :

Once you learn hire to use it, very simple and easy to use. There’s not a lot of confusing features.

Inconvénients :

Syncing with other software could be less difficult.

Solid Option for Storing/Recording Information

Commentaires : It's a rock-solid system that I've come to appreciate and value. It took some time and is a little overwhelming for less tech-savvy individuals, but it's great when all is understood and working. It is definitely one of the better ones out there.

Avantages :

Infinite Campus has allowed our staff to stay incredibly organized and up-to-date with information on our students. It's ability to communicate with various Learning Management Systems, such as Google Classroom, helps us current on student information and scores. Its interface is simple and easy to use, which is great for someone just looking at it for the first time. There are a ton of options for running reports and adding information.

Inconvénients :

It can be difficult at times to understand how to do certain things within the system. Though the interface is rather simple looking, there are a lot of options available and it can be overwhelming to figure out what some are and how they are used. There is a system (a separate site) available for support--complete with forums--but even that can be difficult to navigate at times. If you know what you are doing, this is a great system. Its deceptively simple structure belies its confusing options and support, though.

Easy and Effective Student Data System

Avantages :

Infinite Campus has all the necessary components of educational monitoring. The entire user interface is easy to use and navigate. The home screen of the "Instruction" section is the control center, where daily data can be found. This is where you can see the students and classes you have that day, take attendance, and see what assignments are due or need to be graded. From there, it is easy to navigate to resources like rosters, gradebooks, messages, attendance logs, reports, student data, and more. I appreciate the ease of recording data, creating assignments, inputting grades, and accessing student information. The system also only allows you to access data for students rostered to you, so it does not compromise the privacy of other students in the school. The "Campus Tools" section contains useful tools such as reports, behavior monitoring and logs, messaging, and student data. I appreciate that when logging behavior reports in this section, they are automatically sent to my administration for review and follow up, so my admin is immediately aware of issues as they arise.

Inconvénients :

It would be useful to add in a feature that allows automatic communication with parents of students in each class so teachers can send emails, texts, or phone messages out to parents regarding student or class wide updates. Currently, Infinite Campus does not have a parent communication feature, so any contact made with parents has to be done and logged separately. With all the duties teachers are responsible for, it would be nice to have this all in one place and not need to use another system.

Infinite Campus Gets the Job Done

Commentaires : Overall, my experience with Infinite Campus has been very positive. Like any major system, there are going to be positives and negatives. Fortunately, with Infinite Campus, the things that it does well are the things that you are interacting with the most.

Avantages :

What I like most about Infinite Campus is the ease of use for the things I use daily. The lunch and attendance is easy to input. Also, the student contact information is very thorough and set up nicely with all of the information in one easy to access spot. The grading features are also simple and easy for even teachers who struggle with technology.

Inconvénients :

The grading features in Infinite Campus are easy to use. However, they can be more time consuming than necessary. Each different subject area is on a different page so it can be time consuming as a teacher with many classes to go through all of them. Another area of need, is the help features. The help features are fairly limited and it ends up being easier to ask a colleague, which adds more time to the process.

Commentaires : My overall experience has been positive. It is easy to take attendance and keep notes on students. I can log in from anywhere as well.

Avantages :

I love that I can color code my grade book for missing assignments. It really helps me to just take a quick glance and know right away which student is missing what assignment.

Inconvénients :

The reporting can be a bit tricky. I feel I have to go through too many steps to get a simple report. Also, if a student gets transferred out of my class their grades do not transfer with them. For this reason I still keep a paper copy of my grades which creates more work for me.

Good Place for All your Student Information

Commentaires : Overall, this is a good place to keep all records for the school, the ease of use for a new user is difficult and overwhelming at times.

Good Place to store all student information from households and transferring records to pulling transcripts for students. One good location for all student and staff information.

Infinite Campus can be so overwhelming for new staff. So many different features and things that can be done with ease of use being a little tough for staff.

Infinite Campus is extremely user friendly. You can easily search for students in classes and enter grades/absences.

Inconvénients :

Things can be categorized a little better in this software but once you learn where everything is, it still works.

A+ for Infinite Campus

Commentaires : My experience with Infinite Campus has been very positive. It is very easy for users to work from any location. The software is easy to use, even for new users. Confidential information has remained confidential. Parents and students use the app to keep up with grades

Avantages :

Infinite Campus allows me to view and input student information and records remotely. I can work from home, or when traveling to various locations on campus. The software is very easy to use. It also allows parents to access information in real time. Information can easily be transferred from district to district within the state, and from school to school within the district.

Inconvénients :

Information does not transfer as easily when students move from another state. There are occassional "glitches" but problems are solved quickly and confidential information has never been compromised.

Infinite Campus Food Service

Commentaires : We used another system but it never worked with our Student Information System. The numbers of our free/reduced students never matched and we spent hours looking for the problem.

Avantages :

Interacts with all parts of our Student Information System. User friendly and easy to navigate. Excellent support from the company. Each student has a unique number that is used whenever they come through the line. No one can tell what pay source a student is so it reduces the stigma of being a "free" student.

Inconvénients :

Cashiers hit the wrong keys sometimes but this can happen with any system. Students complain because they forget their PIN and it slows down the line.

Overall, I had a positive experience with Infinite Campus as I learned more about it's features.

Avantages :

I liked how easy it was to use and transfer grade-book settings from year to year as well as the customized grade reporting. While almost every program used for grading or attendance has these features, this system was the most straightforward and intuitive I've used.

Inconvénients :

It's gotten better in terms of student/parent interface over the past few years, although I sometimes get frustrated as setting up online assignments from class to class can be tedious. Also, it seems to work better with some web browsers(IE) than others(Chrome).

Commentaires : The program allows information to be available to anyone with access to find information about students that is needed quickly and easily.

Avantages :

It is easy to use. New employees are able to start using it immediately because it is user friendly. Very helpful to use a program that is web based so work can be done from anywhere. It seems to be a program that can be customized for different school districts' needs.

Inconvénients :

There have been times when multiple people are adding information to a document and one person's information is not saved. There's no indication of this until you reopen it later and your stuff is just not there. This may have been fixed as I have not had this happen in a long time. The only other problem is that if I have access to a student for special education, I only have access to their special ed documents, not their schedule or attendance. This could be a feature that my district does though.

I love that there are so many things I can do with this product. I use the grading, seating chart, send messages home, and take attendance. There are also so many things I am just starting to learn about. I love that I can access it from school home or anywhere else I have a device.

Inconvénients :

There is so many things I have not learned about yet. I wish I had an intense training to learn more.

Avantages :

Updates in the past few years have improved functionality greatly. Student information is organized simply and is easily accessible. Student/Parent portal displays information in an easy to read format.

Inconvénients :

Some functions such as the parent messenger are not intuitive and can be difficult to use. Adapting the gradebook to meet the needs of Standards-Based Learning and Assessment may be difficult depending on how the district wants grades displayed.

Avantages :

This is a great way to keep track of all the students information from home life to attendence. This keeps track of all the information and is very easy to add and locate everything you need.

Inconvénients :

I do not see an cons in this program at all because I use this on a daily base for the past four years.

All in one for special educators

Commentaires : Easy to learn and navigate.

Avantages :

The ease of having all your student documents in one place and bring able to have flags on students profiles for contact, allergies, etc.

Inconvénients :

It is hard to copy and paste as it does word spacing things and can glitch in my preferred browser. The document boxes to fill in are not large enough in some documents like pbmp's

Reports are the only drawback

Commentaires : Overall it’s a great system. With a few tweaks it could easily be one of the best systems around.

Avantages :

This program can be customized to fit school or campus needs. Communication logs, data, and grades can all be stored. It’s also compatible with other programs for uploading students.

Inconvénients :

Many of the reports you need are not easily accessible. Somethings require you to go in student by student to check. This is often time consuming.

Infinite Campus provides one easy to use platform to track students’ grades, attendance, parent contacts, and so much more.

Inconvénients :

The only con that I can think of with Infinite Campus is the occasional times that the website goes down; however, the tech support is always quick to get it back up.

Infinite Campus

Commentaires : I have used this for a few years and I have 3 children, 1 in High School, and 2 in elementary. I can easily view each of my childrens progress within seconds.

Avantages :

I use this application to view my kids grades, check and add to their food service balances. I can get the teachers information to email if i have a question. Information is updated daily so i can check my kids grades and outstanding work and make sure they stay on top of it. I love this software.

Inconvénients :

I have not had an issue as of yet with this software. Everything i personally need is available at the click of a mouse.

Good Data…difficult reports

Commentaires : We are a google and Mac environment and Infinite Campus doesn't provide the Google Integration that would make things easier. It houses so much great information, however, the ability to run reports to make that information useable is not user friendly.

Avantages :

It provides all the important information in one place. It has integrations with other software programs we use which is great to be able to import the student information.

Inconvénients :

The report features are difficult to use, they are not intuitive. The features and options that other software has is not there.

Pretty easy to manage by entering staff, student, COVID etc.

Inconvénients :

Doesn’t have a lot of places to enter personal information.

Commentaires : Overall, this software is a great tool for parents! It eliminates the need for so much paperwork, enables parents to have everything in one place and simplifies school enrollment. Great product!

Avantages :

It is "one stop shopping" for parents! It allows a parent to pay school fees, get messages, view report cards and retrieve grades. It's a great way to simply their child's school situation.

Inconvénients :

I haven't really found anything I don't like. Sometimes it takes a little digging to find information, but I wouldn't consider this a negative.

Good for tracking and storing info

Commentaires : It is easy, easy to update info on profiles, can use it got many other things that are needed for school. Bus schedules etc

Avantages :

I like that this software is easy to use once you got the hang of it. Profiles could be linked between school and parents. So multiple kids have one parent and they all connected and showed up on their profiles.

Inconvénients :

It crashed a lot and everything was online so we always had to have a back up profile printed Incase of it crashing.
