An e-commerce dinosaur

5,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Avantages :

Installing it and keeping it updated is extremely easy because it is found on any hosting that runs WordPress; there are many third party extensions in the Marketplace to add any functionality required, a Google search helps to find the required extension and lately several payment platforms have plugins to install it and you can use it with WooCommerce.

Inconvénients :

Some extensions or add-ons are expensive and have no trial version and in some cases are developed for a specific version of woocommerce.Adding products manually is tedious, but luckily there are templates to upload products, but they are very complicated to fill in until you do trial and error, it uses its own ID which does not allow you to edit it or understand how to configure it if you need to integrate with any CRM.

WooCommerce Review - The Most Powerful E-commerce Plugin for WordPress

5,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Commentaires : WooCommerce is a powerful e-commerce plugin that offers a wide range of features and benefits. It is easy to use, highly customizable, and offers a large community of users and developers. However, it can be complex for beginners, can be expensive due to add-ons and extensions, and may sometimes have performance issues. Overall, WooCommerce is an excellent choice for users who want to build and manage an online store on their WordPress website.

Avantages :

User-Friendly: WooCommerce is a user-friendly plugin that is easy to set up and use. It comes with a user-friendly interface that allows even non-technical users to set up an online store with ease.Highly Customizable: With WooCommerce, users have complete control over the appearance and functionality of their online stores. There are thousands of themes and plugins available that can be used to customize the store to meet specific needs.Large Community: WooCommerce has a large community of developers, designers, and users who are constantly working to improve the plugin. This community offers support, documentation, and resources that can be useful in building and managing an online store.Security: WooCommerce takes security very seriously and is updated regularly to ensure that it is secure and reliable.Integrations: WooCommerce offers a wide range of integrations with popular payment gateways, shipping providers, and other third-party services. This makes it easy to manage the store and streamline the checkout process.

Inconvénients :

Complexity: While WooCommerce is easy to use, it can be complex for beginners. Some users may find it challenging to set up and customize their online stores, especially if they are not familiar with WordPress.Cost: While WooCommerce is a free plugin, users may need to pay for some of the add-ons and extensions. This can make the total cost of setting up and running an online store quite expensive.Performance: WooCommerce can sometimes be slow, especially if the website is hosted on a shared server or if it has a large number of products.

Good eCommerce Solution if You Want to Get out From Under a Limited Platform

4,0 il y a 2 mois

Commentaires : WooCommerce is my go-to eCommerce solution and it works very well. There are only a few drawbacks that are worth the hassle to have such a full-featured option.

Avantages :

By far the most beneficial part of WooCommerce is that it works on WordPress which means you're completely unlimited in your ability to customize the system how you like. With other eCommerce solutions such as Shopify or SquareSpace, you're stuck with whatever that have in their closed system whereas with WooCommerce the sky is the limit with what you can do.

Inconvénients :

WooCommerce is a heavy plugin that adds a lot to a website and as a result, updates must be vetted in a test environment in order to be safe. This wasn't a problem a few years ago when WooCommerce only released updates once every 1 or 2 months. Over the last few years, they've begun releasing updates with no apparent schedule and sometimes you get multiple updates in the same week. This can be very disruptive and labor intensive for store owners to have to test the updates first and look for issues/bugs before going live with a new update just to have to do it all over again a few days later (sometimes even in the very next day).

Woocommerce - Perhaps the best way to create an online store

5,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Commentaires : Overall, Woocommerce is one of the best ecommerce platforms available today. There are endless possibilities as to how you can customize and design your ecommerce store with Woocommerce. Though some addon might be pricey, you can get a store running smoothly without paying for extra addons. You have total control over your store, it is great for SEO and offers excellent functionality.

Avantages :

Woocommerce is open source and accessible to as many people that can install Wordpress on their hosting account. When compared to other ecom platforms there are no monthly fees associated with Woocommerce and it is suitable for use whether you are creating a simple store or a large store. You can also edit and customize it to your taste or branding with the help of many readily built templates. You can create a store with different product variants, easily manage your inventory, add your own SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) number to each product, and include several payment options. Woocommerce is also suitable whether you are selling physical or digital products.

Inconvénients :

Requires some extra plugins to optimally maximize its features some of which are not be free. Requires some level of technicality to setup.

THE BEST platform to get you started on your eCommerce journey

5,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Commentaires : The vast majority of plugins and extensions available to enhance the already smooth experience has made WooCommerce the de-facto standard across all eCommerce platforms that we have helped to build.WooCommerce is easy to set-up from scratch, edit and customise to match website design and also easy to scale with a growing business. We are in debt to our service providers who have supported us along the journey but all of this wouldn't have been possible if we hadn't put in the time to set up an eCommerce store.

Avantages :

When we had a few services we could sell, we looked at setting up an eCommerce store. Since our website already ran on WordPress, WooCommerce was the #1 suggestion. It was relatively easy to set up and ran without much trouble on a low-spec server. This meant a lot to us in terms of money saved on expensive infrastructure right from the beginning. Over time we have been able to scale our business and add more features.

Inconvénients :

There are times in the early days that we struggled with caching issues. That was more of an oversight from our dev team that was easily fixed with a few lines of code. The experience has been great otherwise.

It's simple from product listing through checkout

5,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Commentaires : This platform's best feature is how user-friendly it is; even a novice can use it to manage their product. Everything from processing payments to delivering packages is provided at no cost.

Avantages :

WooCommerce's seamless WordPress connection is fantastic for setting up and managing online shops rapidly. For small businesses who don't have the resources to invest in a complex e-commerce platform, having the option to construct a custom web store is a fantastic alternative.

Inconvénients :

The hardest aspect is that we need a website in order to use WooCommerce. It would be fantastic if we could make a free website with WooCommerce and immediately begin listing our product. This functionality, however, is now unavailable and likely will remain so for the foreseeable future.

WooCommerce is the finest choice for starting an online business.

5,0 il y a 4 semaines Nouveau

Commentaires : WooCommerce is a robust and customizable e-commerce solution that can be used to sell virtually anything online. WooCommerce makes it possible to open a web shop with little to no specialized coding experience on your part. WooCommerce is scalable and has an extensive library of both free and paid plugins to meet any business's needs.

Avantages :

Any company can begin selling online for little to no expense with just a few clicks, and with the right add-ons and customizations, it can become a fully automated sales machine.

Inconvénients :

Its built-in features are limited and haven't changed much throughout the years. If you want a top-notch web store, you'll need to install some extra, often expensive, add-ons.

Best and most widely used WordPress E-Commerce Plugin

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : I am really happy with overall experience of using Woo Commerce for online E Commerce store.
Free version fulfills most of small startup business requirements.Only hosting domain and other charges are needed to setup your own Business or online store website.Configuration is effortless but may be confusing for a total non tech newbie who use shopify only.Nonetheless after some practice it becomes a piece of cake.It is a much secure platform with helpful plugins to for add-on functionality.I would really recommend it for online E-Commerce store specially which are already running on WordPress CMS.

Avantages :

First of all it is plugin in word press environment which makes it m first and only choice as the best for making e-commerce functionality website. It has all the functions to run an online store easily with out much technical knowledge.Various plugin supplement and extend the Woo Commerce functionalities even further beyond.Payment processing and order management is handled efficiently and effectively.Too many functionalities like bulk upload, shipping management, contact info, payment management and etc make life easier to much extent like designing forms, creating custom checkout field , shop page custom price filter and minimum or max product quantities...etc.

Inconvénients :

Not much user friendly like shopify and other competitor.Still just little practice needed to learn it.Its related add-on plugins can be expensive.I had not faced any major technical issue using it.

Great e-commerce tool --- unfortunately it is on Wordpress

4,0 il y a 10 mois

Commentaires : I have several Woocommerce stores and deal with many others that are owned and run by other people. I have good experiences with it, it is a high-quality product and even if it is not perfect, it is light-years ahead of many competitors.

Avantages :

It is free but still offers all necessary functionalities to start and run an online store. It is easy to use and there are a lot of extra functionalities available, some paid, some free.

Inconvénients :

The biggest dislike I have is that it runs on WordPress. It is very unfortunate, but we must live with it. Another dislike is that some of the 3rd party functionalities are very expensive compared to what they offer. The pricing is the same for a tiny new store and a well-established big online giant. I would rather see some other kind of pricing models for some of the plugins, but...

Still the #1 eCommerce solution for an established WordPress Website

4,0 il y a 5 mois

Commentaires : Generally speaking it is a breeze to work with - both as e-Commerce site developer/builder, Site *owner* and also on the front-end as End Consumer too. It does _not_ offer the slickest Checkout solution on the market (that plaudit goes to Shopify, sorry folks...) - but for the overall package and native WordPress compatibility, it remains by go-to eCommerce solution.

Avantages :

Being a native WordPress product and service these days (whilst still operating until the preserved Woo... branding), WooCommerce is without doubt the go-to e-Commerce solution for any WordPress website (one obviously downside (if you can call it that..) being that of course WooCommerce is ONLY available for consideration for WordPress Website owners. Easy to use product inventory management and order processing, there are also a number of free (and paid-for) extensions available to consider bolting-on too.

Inconvénients :

At some point in time it became necessary to have an active WooCommere.com account in order to acquire and then update selected extensions. Free, so in theory not a hurdle. However... the tie-up with / ownership by WordPress can sometimes lead to a frustrating tangle - where you are not entirely sure WHICH account you are logged-in to - or indeed whether or not you are able to acquire and/or update some of those official extensions. Very frustrating.. having such an account should be OPTIONAL (but I don't believe it is....).

The formula of success and ease of use.

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : Back in the day, I was always attracted by that GURUS online promoting other platforms (Never knew that they were affiliates). I used other platforms for 1 month and it was really expansive, all the plugins are extremely expansive or they charge a commission/ Sale. Then I discover WOOCOMMERCE easier, more control over the hosting and servers unlike Shopify (They can shut you down anytime they want without giving an ounce of explanations), and more artistic designing the websites
From my point of view, WooCommerce can be described as Legit, Genuine, Beautiful, Educational never had any trouble ever since I started building websites it was always a +++ Income
IT'S 5 STARS

Avantages :

WooCommerce it's beyond simple, I've personally been using this software for years (I even lost count) it has unlimited features: -Connected to WordPress -No more struggling for creating an eCommerce website, Online Courses, B2B platform, or more. -It's simple just a drag & drop system no need for expertise or development skills. -Best Worldwide Ecom platform and money saver, unlike others. -Have more control over the servers and hosting -The WooCommerce Community is everywhere around social media platforms and never struggle to complete a task. - It's FREE TO USE and NO COMMISSION -Multiple Plugins FREE

Inconvénients :

With Lack Of CMS, it might be a little hard to use, but after designing a couple of websites, then everything comes to a conclusion.

Best e-commerce option by mixed feelings

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : I use WooCommerce daily for multiple clients' websites. My clients are happy with their e-commerce functionality and I rarely encounter issues from the webmaster side of things. You have the option to customize it to the extreme, or if your selling needs are basic, you can setup an e-commerce site quickly and very easily.

Avantages :

First, it's free. That's not entirely true though because anything additional you want to add will likely cost money; most add-ons are $79. Still even if you get two add-ons, $160 a year is a drop in the bucket compared to most other e-commerce. The MAIN reason I use and recommend Woo is it's compatibility. Because it's so widely used, it can integrate with anything and everything. Every bank has a payment gateway that connects to WooCommerce (via plugin - sometimes free, sometimes $79). It's relatively user-friendly. When you get into the settings though, there are tabs across the top, but then there are little tiny links within the tabs sometimes that aren't easily spotted.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes it feels like a monopoly - like you use WooCommerce or Shopify and the later of the two is dreadful. The WordPress community is incredibly helpful, but you have to know where to go to ask for help.

WooCommerce - Great system! Not perfect! But is anything really perfect?

4,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : I personally believe the 'pros' outweigh the 'cons' when considering WooCommerce as an E-commerce platform. I've built multiple sites using WooCommerce that would have $cost tens of thousands of dollars had a Developer been required to code all of these functions. My advice would always be - find a high quality / low-cost Developer (using one of the online labour aggregator sites e.g. Upwork) who has a wealth of recent WooCommerce experience (particularly with the functionality you are looking to achieve) and accept that not everything will work perfectly (or even be compatible) straight 'out of the box'. At the end of the day, if you priced all of the code that has been contributed to make WooCommerce what it is today - it would probably cost $billions to rebuild. So the next time you're criticising 'free' - remember that nothing is ever free.

Avantages :

There are too many pro's to mention with WooCommerce, but i love the fact that it is Open Source which ensures thousands of plugins are available to extend the functionality of WooCommerce. And this is Woocommerce's biggest strength - It can quite feasibly allow a micro-size company to operate like an Enterprise (e-biz), including building end-to-end workflow automation across an entire business operation. Remarkably, this business panacea (end-2-end) can conceivably be achieved free of charge, or for only a few hundred dollars (plus A LOT of Developer and Administrator time).

Inconvénients :

WooCommerce doesn't come without Con's, and it's vitally important to recognise them. The main 'con' for me is the fact that because you have an 'infrastructure' that allows you to 'act' like an Enterprise - the temptation is to do so. This is where cost, resources, licences, etc can start to rack up. WooCommerce DOES NOT provide everything out of the box, but rather through a series of Modules (1st & 3rd party) that come at a cost. If you purchase from WooCommerce (Automattic) you pay a premium for each module (but you get support). If you purchase from 3rd party devs you typically pay a lower cost for the module (but the support is often questionable, as are the 'upgrades', 'compatibility roadmap', etc). So, although WooCommerce is an incredible toolset for building an Enterprise-style e-commerce platform, it is not always plain sailing.

A great e-commerce solution, but still awhile to go...

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : WooCommerce is great in its e-commerce features but lacks where its obvious competitors are excelling in, turning it into a second-grade choice when compared to the likes of BigCommerce, Krepling, and Shopify.

Avantages :

WooCommerce is great in its core product offering. It offerings everything one could ask for when looking to deploy an online store. It is simple and easy to use and also has a decent array of features. For WordPress users, it is a must-have if you are looking to deploy online selling functions.

Inconvénients :

Where WooCommerce falls short is its simplicity. Whilst platforms like Shopify, Krepling, and BigCommerce have mastered the ability to simplify and centralize the online selling environment and business management, WooCommerce has yet to innovate any of its central dashboards and interfaces. I have used WooCommerce for 3.5 years, and despite it being a very powerful selling tool, I have never been able to look past it being just a WordPress plugin. Entrepreneurs are still required to have their own separate hosting options and domain configurations, which require users to constantly jump between different support options just to troubleshoot errors. Not to mention how much WooCommerce relies on WordPress. Although I have no complaints about WordPress, its ease of building websites has not adopted a 'no-code' ideology, thus requiring users to purchase additional plugins like themes and modules.
