Commentaires : This product solved our need to pump transactions in an out of Quickbooks.

Avantages :

THis is one of very few software packages out there that allows you to interface to Intuit.

Inconvénients :

It took some learning to be able to use it effectively and the manual was not great.

Useful for data imports

Commentaires : This software has allowed us to import data into QuickBooks in a much quicker way than the regular import tools that Intuit provide. Credit memos and supplier credits are supported, which makes entering large batches of these types very quick and easy to do compared to manual entry.

Avantages :

This software is good for importing data types directly into QuickBooks Online that are not supported officially (items like vendor credits and sales credits). There is a very simple guide to follow that indicates what fields in the excel worksheet relate to the data entry fields within QuickBooks

Inconvénients :

The ability to remove certain fields which arent required from the excel import templates would be useful as currently they are just having to be left blank and the file doenst look as clean as it could do. Not a big deal though as we have worked out what fields are required and just assigned them a different colour. The software is unable to import sales/bills transactions to a balance sheet GL account. When attempting to do this the software creates a new expense account but does not give the user any notice that this has happened. We discovered this when compiling our company month-end reporting and items were in an unexpected place. This should be fixed as it could lead to a significant problem.

Software is OK, activation, licensing and ongoing support is poor

Commentaires : My customer starting using Transaction Importer in 2010. Over the years they had to purchase a couple of upgrades because they changed computers (activating and licensing has always been tough).
My customer uses the software twice a year to import data to QuickBooks.
In late November 2023 they received a message saying their version would be discontinued at the end of the year (approx. 6 weeks away) and they could upgrade for free to the new version.
The email was vague and never stated that the software would stop working and they thought it would be like when Microsoft discontinues a Windows version; it can still be used, but no support or updates will be provided.
Then when they go to use the software in Feb 2024, it can't access the activation server. They have been shut down.
So the perpetual license they purchased no longer works.
I contacted support on behalf of my customer and requested that they honor the original free upgrade offer. They said they couldn't.
I am extremely disappointed as the original email was sent in late November 2023 and by the end of January 2024 the old version was killed off, unable to use.
As my customer only uses the software twice a year, they were caught out. Admittingly my customer should have paid more attention to the email, but the big disappointment here is the fact the old software was killed off so quickly with poor communication from Rightworks, and now my customer now has to buy it again.
I will now be advising my other customers who use this software look at other programs as this situation should never happen.

Avantages :

Although somewhat clunky, it does what it says it does; i.e. import data to QuickBooks

Inconvénients :

Upgrade cost. All users are at high risk of the supplier discontinuing their product and blocking the software from accessing their activation server which instantly stops it from being able to be used.

Importing Invoices Functionality Needs Improvement

Commentaires : When we used to import invoices, they'd auto populate the billing/shipping address with the customers info. We need this for sales tax purposes. Also, when we mark "taxable" on the import template, it doesn't register in QB, so we have to manually copy the billing address to the shipping address and then click on taxes to make the invoice show the correct sales tax amount. It's a lot of extra work and it's not scalable. When we get to higher volume or when we find a better solution, we'll have to switch away from transaction pro. I also don't like that i have to open a new browser in incognito mode for the app to work.

Avantages :

Importing transactions into QB, a different template for different transactions. fairly intuitive to use.

Inconvénients :

Not all fields are in the transactions are included on the template. Lots of functionality issues. have to open an incognito chrome window to use it while I have QB open.

This App is an Ecommerce Seller's Best Friend

Commentaires : This app really has freed up time by taking tedious tasks such as entering sales one by one and importing just one sheet - one and done. When you have thousands of transactions to enter and you work alone you quickly realize just what a great deal and HUGE help this program offers. I literally can enter transactions in a week versus months. As an ecommerce business owner, I am always looking for ways to save time. Work smarter, not harder! I, for one, hate paperwork and data entry. I would rather spend my time doing what I love - designing and making jewelry! I use the app for ALL data entry. Bills, Payments, Sales Receipts, Refund Receipts, Adding Customers, etc. With both low cost and ease of use you seriously can't go wrong with this app. I've used it several years in a row and will continue to do so!

Avantages :

With straightforward directions and spreadsheets, entering and importing all of my transactions into Quickbooks was extremely easy. Even if I made an error, whether in my addition on a line or if an item was not found in quickbooks, TI Pro alerted me, allowed me to correct it, and then import it without ever leaving the app. This is a huge time saver! Most apps make you correct YOUR spreadsheet on your computer, save, and then re-upload!

Inconvénients :

For me personally there were no cons in regard to the software. It integrated easily with Quickbooks Online and did exactly what it promised to do.

Timesaving Importing Tool

Avantages :

It saves me so much time! I have to bulk import invoices, payments and transfers from our credit card software, often 200 or so at a time. If I had to do this manually it would be prone to error and so time consuming.

Inconvénients :

It's not very intuitive, the training (which you have to pay for) is helpful but not all inclusive. It would be nice to have youtube videos to walk through each import step by step.

Transaction

Commentaires : On-board a client with 2 years of transactions. It was easier to assign categories in excel and then load the data.

Avantages :

Being able to take the data from various sources, combine together and then build an import into quickbooks.

Inconvénients :

Support is via email, while they are quick to reply, communication the issues and getting direction is tough. The Q&A's not always that helpful.

Very helpful to upload but few changes need to be done for India GST

Avantages :

It's very helpful to upload heavy transaction line items.

Inconvénients :

We can't add "Place of Supply" in the sales receipts which is mandatory to generate our GSTR3B report monthly. Pls suggest somebody if this facility is there.

Does what it says it does

Commentaires : We had a few struggles in the beginning getting it set up between Transaction Pro's customer service and the credit card company we were able to get it to work.

Avantages :

We were able to import from our credit card transactions into QuickBooks. That saved us a tremendous amount of time.

Inconvénients :

Refunds or negative amounts need to be done separately because you can not import charges and credits at the same time.

Great Product!!!

Avantages :

I use this product on a weekly basis to import my invoices. The software is very easy to use and straight forward, which makes this task easier. The software helps streamline by billing process.

Inconvénients :

I do not have anything that I like least about this software.

Best Time Saving Importing Software

Avantages :

Having Transaction Pro Importer/Exporter connecting to our Quickbooks software saves us so much time between importing various items. Having the option to upload check information or pull in journal entries with hundreds of lines directly from Excel helps speed up the process of our month end close. There are so many other options for importing to Quickbooks so I'm sure we've just scratched the surface to improving our efficiencies in our organization.

Inconvénients :

When there are errors with the imports the description of the error can be vague or difficult to figure out what the actual issue is.

Love Transaction Pro

Commentaires : Overall a 10 out of 10 timesaver. We know that there are many other benefits that we just have not had the chance of exploring yet, such as using it for payroll entries.

Avantages :

We use the software to import mass journal entries from a Concur data dump into Quickbooks. This process used to be agonizingly painful and now it takes no time at all. Using Transaction Pro has streamlined this process and saved us hours upon hours. The service team is always friendly, quick to reply and makes sure your problems are solved.

Inconvénients :

The software, while simple, can seem a little archaic at times and we had some difficulties when a new employee would start. The service team is outstanding so it outweighs any issues we had with the software itself.

Easy to use but it has it's issues

Avantages :

It is easy to navigate. I like that it is an online tool so you can use it anywhere.

Inconvénients :

I have had issues with data importing properly. Credits are created randomly.

Transaction Pro Importer Review

Commentaires : Import speed is amazing (less than one minute). When the business had to show more detail on each invoice and create 700-900 total line items per week, manually creating each invoice would have been impossible. Importing large customer lists was also very useful.

Avantages :

Ease of set-up and use Very high upload speed Variety of QuickBooks data types that can be imported Compatible with standard Excel files (no need converting to .txt or .csv formats)

Inconvénients :

None, the import software provides all needed functions.

Finance Controller

Commentaires : We upload data from Google Sheets to produce invoices in QBO. I quite like the process, as it is very easy to use and saves me a lot of time trying to manually produce invoices.

Avantages :

I like how easy it is to use. It makes our upload process seamless :)

Inconvénients :

If there is a break in our document, it causes the importer/exporter to not function properly. Sometimes I find the message confusing on what the causes are to fix.

WORST Product & Customer Support

Commentaires : WORST customer support I’ve ever experienced. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] is the agent who refuses to call us to diagnose the issue. They asked us the same question multiple times through email even though we gave a detailed answer every time and they made the same suggestion multiple times through email even though we gave detailed responses including screenshots as to why that suggestion doesn’t work. We haven’t even been able to retrieve data once from QuickBooks with this application.

Avantages :

We can’t even get through set up. The application isn’t working properly. We get constant error messages and QuickBooks crashes and Transaction Pro refuses to call us or diagnose the issue.

Inconvénients :

Transaction Pro refuses to call us. They told me we have to pay extra for phone support. I’m not paying extra when I haven’t even seen that this program can do its most basic job.

Great Problem Solving Software

Commentaires : Transaction Pro Importer has caused my company to look at other system communication issues from a new perspective, and attempt to identify software that functions in a similar way because Transaction Pro Importer works so well for us.

Avantages :

Intuitive and easy to use. Solves our communication barriers between our proprietary software and QuickBooks.

Inconvénients :

Difficulty with upgrades to coordinate with QuickBooks. Difficulty to apply software to our cloud based environment and allowing all needed users. I wish I could purchase a version that would allow all employees to have access to it on their desktop, rather than having to purchase individual licences.

Excellent Import Software

Commentaires : We have our monthly close journal entries which contain the same descriptions but these need to be updated each month to correspond with the current month, we use some excel magic and are able to avoid going line by line to update Quickbooks Online entries.

Avantages :

We use this product to import journal entries and credit card transactions for our monthly close. TPI saves us hours of data entry time.

Inconvénients :

I can't think of a time that TPI hasn't performed well.

Best Software to Import data with ease

Commentaires : Very good. Good value for money. I will definately use again and recomend to others

Avantages :

Bulk import and deletion with ultimate ease. I use it for multiple companies and have no issues using.

Inconvénients :

Customization of Journal entries. It can have a bit better selection of criteria and serial numbers for journal entry.

Easiness for use

Commentaires : It is a great experience, experts are helpful for answering questions.

Avantages :

It is easy to import massive data, bank recs and credit card recs. In addition, it can import month-end journal entries in a few mins as long as it is set up correctly.

Inconvénients :

If the bill payment matching option can be launch it would be great. For example, bills, and payments can be imported together and mark off as paid into the stated account.

Professional Guidance

Avantages :

It was relatively easy and intuitive to follow the guides to the final import screen to Quickbooks.

Inconvénients :

I could not complete an import, always issues, all on the new Quickbooks account used to test. With that said I would be inclined to pursue another solution since this could not be resolved, despite a technical assistant screen-share.

It can be a little finicky when mapping - but it's easy to work-around.
