Payroll is ok it has some nice features on pay items but nothing the old essentials could do easily.
No real downsides to the system. As we were using Viberent as a custom software piece there were some glitches with the API integration but this is to be expected.

Super outil de gestion de facturation, TVA, facture aux particuliers et entreprises. Il est très complet

Commentaires : Dans l'ensemble , MYOB Business est un logiciel très pratique dans la trésorerie , une diversité de fonctionnalité pour la facturation, et accepte également les paiements par carte crédit en apportant son aide aux entreprises . Ce logiciel est complet dans ce qu'il propose . Je le recommande

Solid product for small business
Commentaires : Has been around for a long time. Tried and tested and is a great product. Starting to price a little higher but still competitive - especially if you have employees.
Avantages :
Easy to use and well laid out for the end user. Is great for small operations without complex needs.
Inconvénients :
Whilst bank rules are very handy - the auto reconciling of transactions can cause problems if rule set up incorrectly. Would be great if there was an option to make bulk transaction changes.

Good software, has been better few years ago
Commentaires : I loved that software in 2006, it was great, so easy to use. Now it is not hat great, customer support needs a lot of improvement. Yet I think other competitors have their problems and overall MYOB is the best soft for a small business.

I love the soft is so user-friendly. I have been using MYOB since 2006. As an accountant I use XERo, quickbooks, handisoft. I think that from the end user point of view MYOB still easiest business software. From an accountant point of view it is also very user friendly. It helps me fix the mistakes my clients made with an ease. Bank reconciliation used to be great, now, after some modifications it is much worse. Yet , overall I think that MYOB is still the sest business solution for a small business in Australia
Inconvénients :
Customer support is not existent. Many of my client switched to Xero or quick books because of terrible customer support in MYOB

The software is relatively easy to use.

It’s hard to get face to face support. Even when I’ve requested it I’ve received an email!! That’s not the support I appreciate. Every response is an email with a link to a webpage. This doesn't always help.

It's a great, easy to use product that would suit any type of business.
Inconvénients :
It's limited by that it doesn't allow multiple businesses for consolidated accounting, so it'll always lose to bigger systems.

Good to start but difficult with finer details.
Commentaires : It worked well as a start package for the small business and didn't cost anything for the first year so was a great starting option. However it was difficult to learn and take further with lots of niggly issues.
Avantages :
Good app availability to easily capture expenses and receipts. Simple to get started and underway with and often free with certain banks etc for the first year.
Inconvénients :
Beyond some basic functionality it was difficult to understand how best to do many things. In addition it was very difficult to reconcile amounts where a bank fee had altered the incoming amount. Often resulting in adjusting the original invoice rather than simply applying a fee during reconciliation.
MYOB Essentials
Commentaires : All good except for the slow support and issues with the product.
Avantages :
Easy to use once you know how. I like that I can log on from anywhere top access the accounting software.
Inconvénients :
MYOB ceased to support Account Edge on Mac so on recommendation by the sales team I transferred to MYOB Essentials. It is easy to use however because it's web based it hangs intermittently. MYOB added a feature to Item ID on invoicing, adding an information symbol without widening the column. This causes the Item ID to be partially obliterated. This makes it difficult when checking item numbers or picking the order. I have spoken to support who have failed to address the issue or even discuss it. The other issue is support. I have literally waited on for one and half hours before getting to the person I need to speak to.

Avantages :
- Easy to signup and simple setup to get things started - Pricing - Special offer for new start ups - Invoice reminders - Invoice templates look very professional - Invoice shows when customer / vendor have viewed (SUPER HELPFUL) - Intray for emailing receipts and tracking
Inconvénients :
- Not being able to invoice in multiple currencies, have to workarond this by invoicing in the charable foreign currency then after payment is recieved adjusting the template to the local amount that is received.

Commentaires : MYOB allows simple business management but does not offer advanced simple integrations.

MYOB allows for client management and invoicing from one system.
Inconvénients :
Using this system to manage an IT business is not the most innovative system and it has integration challenges from our PSA.
The software is good for a small entity but once you grow and need more detail it becomes a handbrake on information.
Commentaires : For a small firm with limited reporting requirements it is okay but for any jobs with Work Breakdown Structure requirements it comes up short and becomes a limiter for the company. I get very frustrated with the after sales support system. It is not customer focused and leaves you wondering why you pay for it.
Avantages :
Good basic internal controls so novice bookkeepers can run day to day. Easy to install and set up. Reasonably cheap for what you get. Handles GST well.
Inconvénients :
Not the best for Job costings. Payroll system ordinary serious reporting drawbacks as far as information flow to the General Ledger. Tends to freeze in reporting production which can lock out users. Support service is very poor, you get the feeling the staff could care less in resolving issues. Interactive screen supports not used you have to send a file and wait for a response. Wait time on the phone for support is very bad.

The list is far too long. The old essentials is excellent. All that needed to be done is have the option of reports it had be converted to excel rather than PDF. The decision to go to accountright will be fatal.
Not my first option but still a good system
Commentaires : Overall it is not my first preference and I prefer to use a competitor.
Avantages :
I stated my career using MYOB which was my favorite software. It couldn't be beat. But that was over a decade as ago. Since then other contenders have surpassed the software in both useability and practicality. MYOB is still good at the core, especially for accountants and people with an accounting background. However for business owners I think it could be a bit confusing and slightly intimidating.
Inconvénients :
One of my biggest pet peeves for MYOB is the rigid structure and inflexible ways to treat transactions. For example, if a bank transaction doesn't match to the cent, there is no quick way of recognizing the rounding error and processing the transaction. Instead a series of clicks into the transacting to edit the amount is required, disrupting your workflow.

Commentaires : Good program for small business and very easy to fix mistakes but no audit trail

Where's the support?
Commentaires : I would definitely not recommend this product when there are better ones on the market, such as Xero.

It integrated with my previous payroll programme

Difficult to fix problems. Useless customer support. Currently on hold for 110 minutes and counting, and have been "first in the queue" for at least 40 minutes. Their support number is not easy to find and the wait times are unacceptable. Also, the payroll needs more steps than xero to pay staff and report to IRD.
Mostly good
Commentaires : I've been using MYOB for many years, mainly to raise invoices and purchases, plus to track the P&L and balance sheet. It's a pretty robust product that doesn't need specialist instruction to use the basic functions, but it started getting pretty annoying when I upgraded late 2013 and now one has to be connected to the internet in order to use it. That means if your internet connection is down or you're out of WIFI reach on the road, you can't do anything with your company files. That's my biggest complaint.
