Easy to use and saves us money

Avantages :

Easy to import our Excel mailing lists into the program. Sorts and corrects addresses quickly and easily. Does the forms automatically!

Inconvénients :

We are very familiar with using it, probably a users manual for new users would be welcome.

You can't afford to be without Postage $aver

Avantages :

Ease of use. Great support from [sensitive content hidden]. Up to date within microseconds of changes from the USPS, Postage $aver is ready go .

Inconvénients :

I desperately want to save jobs to specific job files so we can pick them up and re-run the jobs. Also would be nice to have PS add the needed feeds without having to so the manually.

Distribution Mail Outs

Commentaires : It's okay not great but okay.

Avantages :

That you can print out the tags even though I still have to mark them as non presort

Inconvénients :

I still have to fill out the forms to use for non presorted - parcels for Bound Printed Matter. The program doesn't recognize mailing out phone books. When I have called in the past the person I spoke with acted like I was an idiot and did not want to help.

It's pretty good all around. No complaints. The software interface/graphics/art could use some updating, but that doesn't detract from it's functionality at all. It looks like it's software from the 90s or something, but that doesn't really matter because what matters is that it works. It gets the job done and it gets it done well! [sensitive content hidden] probably doesn't bother spending time updating the way the software 'looks' because he's too focused on providing great customer service.

Best tool for small mailing houses...

Commentaires : I have tried four (4) other software and online services. PostageSaver is the easiest to use. Also, I found it has three to five times more features than other software and services out there.
Obviously, it does not handle data cleansing; and I am glad, since we use other tools for that.

Avantages :

It's unbelievably easy to use. It guides you step-by-step through this complicated and nightmarish process that the USPS has created for mailing houses.

Inconvénients :

I can't find a single bad thing to say. However, if we want to be picky, the font size look a little small on my 32 inch monitor. It seems that they need to upgrade the font to be more responsive to the screen size being used. My resolution is 3840x2160

Inexpensive, featureful, and well supported.

Avantages :

The frequency of the updates, the features match our needs, and the (very little) support requests needed have had immediate turnarounds.

Inconvénients :

The "single flow through the wizard" model is a bit weird for our use case. We use the software to generate our bulk-mail sorted lists of address, THEN we print them, stuff them, etc. So we have to go through twice; once before we print and stuff to get the sorted lists, then once again afterwards once we have the weights and known dates of mailing, which we don't necessarily know ahead of time.My OCD makes me very, very nervous that the 2 runs will sort them differently somehow. To date there's been no problem so I'm less anxious about it now, but I wish we could do a "sort only" run, then add the dates/weights to it and print the reports USING that original sort.

Postage Saver

Commentaires : Very economical - kept up to date - customer service responds fast. We have been using since 2009.

Avantages :

Good support - reasonable pricing - for a organization like ours who only puts out a bulk mailing only once a month most other products are cost prohibitive - they cost more to use than bulk mail saves us.

Inconvénients :

I wish the membership/mail merge functionality and the Postage Saver functionality were integrated - right now I have to export a spreadsheet from my membership database (MemberTies) into Postage Saver and then take the output spreadsheet into Word to do a mail merge of the address page of our newsletter. What I do work well but lots of opportunities to mess up a step.

Great product

Avantages :

I have used Postage Saver for many years. It allows me to prepare reports for the USPS in a fast, efficient manner. It is easy to use and they have advised us when upcoming changes such as this year's move to flat trays so we were prepared to handle it. My local post office wasn't even aware of the change. Thanks for a great product!

Inconvénients :

My in-county labels don't print in the correct order that my local post office wants so we have to use our backup system for those. I also wish the labels could be printed on continuous feed labels - that is an easy way to prepare them for placement.

Commentaires : Best experience I've ever had with any software: Error-free, remarkably inexpensive, superior customer service, easy to install, update, and use.

Avantages :

Postage $aver does exactly what we need, easily applying the incredibly complicated USPS rules to prepare our monthly newsletter mailing labels. It pays for itself in the first month or two every year. All questions are answered very rapidly by Scott, usually in less than 24 hours, the best customer service I have ever experienced for any service or product. It provides us warnings about upcoming USPS changes before the USPS does.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes I have to change a setting and do another run to see whether it will cost even less postage. It would be nice if Postage $aver could optimize that automatically.

Make bulk mailing easier at a low monthly cost

Commentaires : Using Postage $aver helped us transition to managing bulk mailing on our own. If you've ever tried to figure out bulk mailing rules, you know how complicated it can be to understand the USPS regulations. Postage $aver walks you through the process step by step to generate accurate barcode labels (in 1+ years of using Postage $aver, we've never had issues with our labels...and that is saying something!)

Avantages :

Don't let the interface and low price tag fool you. Postage $aver is powerfully built software that walks you through every step of the bulk mailing process. What I love most is the info button next to each section that gives me confidence in choosing the option that fits my needs. Mailing and mailing regulations are so complicated, but Postage $aver gives you a clear path to follow. All you have to do is import your data file, click a couple of options and Postage $aver generates all the reports you need for your own records and for USPS.

Inconvénients :

The only issue we have is all the steps we have to take before using Postage $aver. You have to prepare your list [for us that mean download, clean up, import to list cleansing software to meet USPS regulations, download, fix issues, then finally upload to Postage $aver]. Our previous database integrated all of these steps automatically, so all we had to do was walk through the mailing settings. But with Postage $aver offering such a low yearly cost, we are able to buy credits through another company to cleanse our list, and it keeps the overall cost much lower. Also, we would have this issue with any bulk mailing software since this integration is not available with our new database management software.

Best Mailing Software

Commentaires : Any time I had a problem, either with the software or the post office saying something was not correct, I was able to contact PostageSaver and they were able to answer or correct my problems. I have been using this software for MANY years (I think more than 15 years) and PostageSaver has been right on the money.

Avantages :

This program fills out all of the marketing mail and periodical mail forms required for the post office. It saves a lot of time not having to manually fill out those forms. And it does it correctly. If you do any bulk or periodical mailings, this software is a must and it is very reasonably priced. It also does first class presort and bound printed matter mailing, although I have not had the opportunity to use those features. Once i found this software, I wouldn't do a mailing without it.

Inconvénients :

As far as I have found, this software is as complete as I need.

Praise for Postage Saver

Commentaires : Postage Saver has made our mailing a blessing to the Post Office as it is so "correct"; they always smile when I deliver the trays!

Avantages :

I cannot narrow my praise for Postage Saver to one thing. We are a very small religious non-profit with a bi-monthly mailing of around 3000. When our previous software (Envelope Manager) was no longer available to us, we only found very expensive alternatives. I don't remember how we stumbled on Postage Saver, but it was a life saver for us and allowed us to continue to mail since 2012. While we are experiencing a change in direction at this time and haven't mailed for 4 months, we still intend to keep Postage Saver with the thought that we may resume our bi-monthly mailing in the future. If you process bulk mail, you need Postage Saver (coupled with Smarty Streets)!

Inconvénients :

I can't think of one thing I do not like about Postage Saver.

Fantastic Product for the money

Inconvénients :

Could use improvements in the SDK for software developers who integrate this with .net programs. It's a little challenging to automate using vb.net. If that were fixed, this woudl be bullet proof.

Low cost, high quality postal sorting software - best in show!

Commentaires : I use Postage $aver almost every week to sort mailing lists and prepare postal documents. I'm a small direct mail company and simply don't have the budget for commercial postal software - but this is essentially the same thing. Easy to use with helpful tools and tips. Frequent updates and customer service is extremely responsive to any issues. I've been a loyal customer for more than 7 years!

Avantages :

Low cost, frequent updates and stellar customer service. The software is very easy to use with exemplary walk-through windows and instructions. This software is perfect for both new and experienced users of postal sorting software.

Inconvénients :

Nothing. I use it every week and saves me $$$ as compared to the more ridiculous over-priced "commercial" postal software.

Super Easy

Avantages :

The best part is how easy this is, straightforward, we can get easy reports, its integrated with excel and I do not need it often, but when I do need some help with something, they are beyond fantastic!

Inconvénients :

Going back and forth from one format to another is a little time consuming, but this is not something that will prevent us from using Postage $aver, we save so much time and energy in so many other ways we barely even noticed (and it took me forever to even come up with something to put in this section!)

A good tool, great value, especially for low volume needs

Commentaires : I mail several times a year postcards with standard mail rates. It does a great job for this purpose.

Avantages :

It works well with my design software. It is a cost effective solution to providing standard mail services It does not require an expensive subscription It works well for occasional needs which is why I got it.

Inconvénients :

It is not an inclusive solution If you mail frequently, it is not likely to be a good solution.

Indespensible tool

Easiest postal software to use.

Avantages :

The software is very easy to use, no special knowledge necessary. It's very straightforward, and makes the instructions on labeling, sorting, very easy to use. The barcode software is excellent too!

Inconvénients :

I use the USPS Postal Wizard, as they don't charge for permit renewal if we do everything online with the Postal Wizard. I wish there was some way to link Postage $aver to the USPS Postal Wizard system.

Easy to use, affordable

Commentaires : Overall, I really like the product. We were trying to determine all the data entry points for the post office forms manually before, and it was a herculean task. Postage $aver made it feasible to continue to use bulk mail.

Avantages :

This software makes the arcane process of submitting periodicals mail to the post office easy. It's a life saver!

I think the first data entry screen could be simplified. It would also be helpful if there were a bit more explanatory text on some data entry screens.

Great Bulk Mailing Software for a Reasonable Price

Commentaires : I have been in the bulk mailing business for 35+ years, used several different software packages when I was working for a larger company, but never found one as easy to use with easy integration into an address database. I am now retired and working for my high school alumni association, a non-profit that awards 8-12 $1,000 scholarships annually. I needed to find a reasonably priced CASS Certified program for handling their mailings (2,000-2,500 pieces at a time) for this small budget group, and your software was perfect for us. Easy to use, integrates easily with our database and reasonably priced for a small organization...

Avantages :

Ease of use, CASS Certification, works for non profit standard mail.

Inconvénients :

Nothing really, never had a problem in the years using it.

Postage Saver really simplifies the mailing process

The ease of use and accuracy. Also great communication when there are updates to the software.

The GUI is a little dated but as long as it works we're satisfied.

Great Value for Money

Commentaires : Great experience. The software is very stable and reliable. It includes automatic updates and reminders to update to comply with USPS rates and rules. Very easy to use. A rare occurrence in today's world of unsupported, glitchy software programs and apps. This company doesn't externalize its R&D on the customers. The product works, and when there's something that requires the company's attention, they respond the same day. Cannot ask for more.

Economical, easy to use bulk-mailing power

Commentaires : Preparing quarterly+ mailings printed and labeled by a contractor. Postage Saver reports, prepared from our mailing list, are more accurate than those done by our vendors.

Avantages :

Easy to use. Gives solid, accurate results. Economical. I can't think of a single reason through the years that would cause me to not recommend this product to others
