Online collaboration tool based in the cloud

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : In my previous job, we used Google Slides often, maybe 4-5 times a week for two or three hours a day. Overall, things went well with Google Slides, I didn't have any particular complaints except for the difficulty with the rights. The comments that the different people who manage the presentation can leave are also convenient. We used Google Slides for short presentations related to specific projects - for example, new functionality of our medical research software or for some training related to our work.

Avantages :

Google Slides is Google's platform for creating and managing presentations. As advantages based on my personal experience with Google Slides I would list the following: - Good integration with other Google products - Gmail, Docs, Drive and others; - Excellent ability to manage the people who can watch and separately those who can change the presentation; - Option to load powerpoint presentations on microsoft; - It is free; - The platform is in the cloud, which makes it easily accessible for desktop machines and laptops, as well as for mobile devices - phones, tablets, etc .; - Convenient presentation features - Presenter View, Audience tool - easy to spot questions from the audience

Inconvénients :

Sometimes there are some Microsoft PowerPoint presentations that are difficult to insert into Google Slides - shifted slides and the data in the slides themselves are not matched; - The menus are not very convenient - due to the fact that the platform is online; - There are no translations into Bulgarian - Keyboard shortcuts often do not work well - they are not detected that they are pressed; - Often users' rights are lost and it has happened to me that a manager gives me rights for a presentation, but still I can not open it due to lack of rights

Most Ultimate Trusted Online Alternatives for Your Presentation Needs 2023

4,0 il y a 4 semaines Nouveau

Commentaires : Final Conclusion of the Upsides and downsides of Google SlidesRegardless of the couple of cons, Google Slides is an incredible approach to rapidly make introductions without learning complex programming for nothing. This Ideal for those need to share their work continuously effortlessly or don't want to approach other rigid and complex programming sofwares. In the event that you're searching for something easy to use and express –represent your views and thoughts with a large number of layouts and pro options accessible, Google Slides is an extraordinary and 100% decision.

Avantages :

Google Slides is an extreme true and trusted alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint, at a great cost (almost free!, without cost for Personal use). I energetically suggest it on the off chance that you don't have PowerPoint, or on the other hand assuming that you want to team up on a show with sharing your knowledge and expertise in more efficient and effective way.1. Truly Sensible Cost and Reasonable PricingThe cost is a clear ace of Google Slides. For Individual and business use, Google Slides is allowed to utilize. There are other business standard plans that incorporates the Google Working environment suite, however those costs are sensible contrasted with the other option accessible in the business sectors.2. Easy to understand Point of interaction between team and team memberIt's very user friendly and very easy to figure out solutions of any problems regarding your presentation and it’s very easy to how to utilize and explore the software in complete manner. The options and tools are incorporated in Pro manner in comparison to others alternatives available in the markets.3. Cherry on the Top of the Cake (Just like a Pro)You can implant recordings and photographs in your slides.Consistent network and co-ordination to other Google Applications like Google Sheets, Gmail, and then some others. There are an assortment of additional items and expansions you can use to improve your slides.Various types of tailor made Templates are available for you and your team.

Inconvénients :

ConsI truly can't imagine anything that I could have done without about Google Slides in 2023, however maybe it very well may be improved assuming it had a choice of designs and more layouts in comparison to the others programming choices accessible like MS Powerpoint, Canva, Visme, and Beautiful.ai.It makes them miss highlights contrasted with MS Powerpoint however more significantly its limited to those having google accounts and expects admittance to the web consistently. Activity and changes can be interesting to dominate. It makes them miss highlights contrasted with MS Powerpoint however more significantly its confined to those having google accounts and expects admittance to the web consistently.Your introductions will be facilitated on Google's servers, which could be a worry for certain individualsYou can get to research Slides with a Google Record.

A basic, free solution for creating engaging slideshows on the web

4,0 le mois dernier Nouveau

Commentaires : I think the program works well for its purpose. Beyond that, I don't have much to say about it. I prefer more aesthetically driven softwares like Canva or Figma. I have even used Wix to create presentations in the past to achieve a more beautiful look.

Avantages :

Above all, I like that this program is free. This means that anyone who needs to create a slideshow has access to a slideshow software. Not everyone needs to use this kind of software regularly, so having a free solution is amazing. I think it has certain aesthetic limitations compared to other design software like Figma or Canva, but templates and stock photos and GIFs are available to help bridge that gap, albeit only to a small extent. Ultimately, most slide show presentations are purposeful and not pretty. This software offers the people in that high percentile an easy to use solution.

Inconvénients :

As much as I love how practical this is, I am a designer at hear t and I truly despise how banal the stock templates are. Thankfully there are a variety of designers on the web who create beautiful Google SLides templates that you can use for free or purchase.

Perfect features of Google Slides

5,0 il y a 4 semaines Nouveau

Commentaires : I love that I can do my work on the go, on my mobile phone and on my PC. I can see all the changes I make as long as my PC and Mobile Phone use the same Google Account. I can do my presentations on my way to uni, at the library and home. It also makes my group assignments super easy, as I can edit while my teammates also edit, minimizing the time for meetings or whatsoever.

Avantages :

I love that I do not have to purchase/subscribe or whatsoever when I want to use the software, and how easy it is to use on one's PC, unlike on the mobile phone. I also love that I can use the software within the app, not forgetting the nice collaboration tool feature that makes university presentations super fun. The software is super easy to use, as everything is navigated very easily.

Inconvénients :

I wouldn't say I like that when I want to download the slide, it allows me to download .pdf on my phone. I also wish it would be easier to use Microsoft PowerPoint when one needs to, as they do the same thing.

A versatile, easy to use alternative to MS Office & PowerPoint

5,0 il y a 4 semaines Nouveau

Commentaires : While there are a few limitations to Slides, our firm has found great success using it in the long term. Using Slides as our primary slideshow creator/editor has allowed us to reduce the number of Office lisences our organization has to purchase. It also gives us greater sharing and collaboration tools than MS PowerPoint can, something that is especially important for us since we have locations scattered across the country. Overall, we have been very happy with the performace of Slides and plan to continue using it in the future.

Avantages :

I like the fact that Slides is built for the web first. This means that a ton of features are built right into your browser, can be accessed anywhere, and anyone can view and edit Slides presentations. This makes it so much easier for the less technically savvy members of our team. There are no files to download or programs to install; just click a link and the Slides presentation launches. Speaking of ease of sharing, Slides is incredibly easy to collaborate with. The built in sharing settings make it a breeze to invite others to edit or view a document, and the fact that the file is stored in the cloud means everyone is always working off the latest version.

Inconvénients :

Slides' biggest strenght, the fact that it is built for the web first, is also its biggest weakness. Since Slides is a web based application, our team is unable to access, edit, or share files if they are without internet, or away from their desktops. This severely limits what the software can do when offline, something its counterpart, MS PowerPoint does not suffer from.

Easy to use with a ton of features

Commentaires : Collaborative editing for fast and easy reviewing of new styles and design choices.

Avantages :

It's easy and straightforward to use. The fact that it allows for online collaborative editing, is a huge advantage.

Inconvénients :

Offline editing is a bit harder as we would rely on e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint. These two software solutions don't always go hand in hand. It's simply way easier to edit the Google Slide online instead.

Great way to create platform-independent presentations and to collaborate

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : My overall experience using Slides has been very positive. I enjoy the cross-platform, free, easily accessible design of this software and I feel the pros significantly outweigh the cons. Even though I have powerpoint installed I only use it if for opening existing presentations I have received from someone else. For be Slides is always the preferred choice when I want to create or edit my own presentations.

Avantages :

When creating a presentation I have a choice between powerpoint and google slides. I prefer slides because: - it is free to use - it works online and I do not need to install anything/have anything installed on my computer - I have many devices (laptop, desktop, android, iphone) and I can view, use and edit my presentation on any one of those devices - The interface is easy to use and I can find the features I am looking for typically without significant effort - If working with someone else, you can collaborate on a project in real time - You can publish and embed your presentation on a website and share it with people I also like that the work is saved online so if and when my laptop dies, I do not have to worry about copying files anywhere, my work is safe. Overall there are many pros to using this product.

Inconvénients :

As for styling the presentation, the selection of themes is quite limited and I wish there were more options. From a functional standpoint, because of features like real time collaboration, you have to be online to use it. My internet connection is bad and cuts off sometimes, so I have to pause work until it resumes. No connection causes a notification bar to show up saying "trying to connect" and everything becomes disabled until I am online again.

Now preferred over Keynote & Powerpoint

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : Overall, slides deserves great reviews coming from Powerpoint/Keynote. In an environment where presentations are built through collaborative teams daily, it's light, intuitive solution provides a ton of value. Even as a data heavy organization, the challenges of numerical data and visualizations are not disruptive enough to reconsider previous presentation software.

Avantages :

Coming from hybrid Powerpoint/Keynote environment, we've found the following pros: The collaboration/commenting/tagging feature is more intuitive and easier to access. The biggest concern we had in adopting Slides was its ability to deliver offline. We've been pleasantly surprised that functionality is largely maintained when offline and syncs smoothly when back on the web. Embedding web hosted assets such as YouTube videos, audio files and even large image files are easier to leverage as well as has much less impact on file size.

Inconvénients :

The largest challenge faced with Slides thus far has been the integration/ability to leverage Sheets in presentations. Previously, many of the capabilities of Excel such as formula management, chart/graph visualizations has been keys to presentations. That capability isn't there in Slides in to ways: 1) Sheets is still missing some feature parity with Excel. 2) Once you paste or embed a chart or graph in Slides from Sheets, both the data and the labels are difficult to manage.

Great for teachers/schools

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : I use Google Slides often for small group projects and used it every week during online distance learning. Students were able to work on projects together even though they were at home. I was able to work with the students at the same time that they were online so that I could give constant feedback.

Avantages :

I love that this product is online and that it can be used by several people at the same time. If you are doing a project and your team members are in other places, it is easy to work online with each other. You can comment, make changes and work as though you are side by side. You can use Google Slides wherever you are - no problem if you forgot to email to it yourself; you don't have to. Wherever you login to your Gmail, you will have access to this product.

Inconvénients :

I would love if there were more themes uploaded with the program. However, you are able to go to several different websites and upload a theme that suits you. It's just not as convenient.

Best way to create presentations

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : I use it to create images, slides and presentations for my teacher training class. And I never lose my effort. It auto saves and I can access it from anywhere in the world. It's the best.

Avantages :

It's super easy to use. Can create all the stuff with slides. It's very user friendly. I've been using it for more than 5 years now. I create presentation slides and I create images too. Most of the time when I have something simple to create as an image, I just create it in a google slide and save it in picture format. It's super easy for me. I use it most of the times for my little one's school projects. And I am using the google slides for my weekly presentations with my study group in Teacher Training. We all share one Google Slide Presentation and add/ edit the slides as we need. And it's very easy to share as a link or can download it in pptx . Anyone of us can give the presentation as we all have contributed to one Presentation. We can add effects, different layouts, designs and almost everything to the slides to make them stand out. And I can access it from anywhere in the world. And of course work offline and work from my smart phone. That's a big plus.

Inconvénients :

I Actually I like everything about it. I never had an issue with it. It's been always super user friendly for me.

It's good, but I do prefer Powerpoint

4,0 il y a 8 mois

Commentaires : We do a weekly company-wide presentation which I regularly contribute my own slides too. Additionally, I use it for team presentations, and also as a mechanism to collate my own thoughts and research on work projects into something more stream-lined.

Avantages :

As with all of Google's software, it's so easy to use Google Slides across teams, across countries and across companies. We can work independently on the slides we will present, and then someone else can go in and tidy the whole thing up. It saves so much time compared to Powerpoint, which is great. It's also easy to duplicate and copy slides, including from other presentations, which is super helpful. I also like how easy it is to add comments and to tag people. We integrate it very nicely into Slack, making the process of making presentations hugely stream-lined and efficient. I also like that the red lines appear to show you when you have lined up a picture or text box correctly with the rest of the slide.

Inconvénients :

I find it really difficult to create the style of slide that I want - I feel that Powerpoint has a broader selection of templates and it is easier to design a slick and stylish slide through Powerpoint. I often revert to copying templates made by colleagues, and I honestly cannot work out how they made them, despite being proficient in Powerpoint. There's not great support online with this in my opinion. Also, I find it frustrating that my formatting jumps around so much when I change the template. Finally, it's annoying that the layout doesn't appear the same when I run a presentation as when I look at the slide while editing it.

Avantages :

Google Slides for educating students allows me to display information in a sequential matter. This helps students stay focused and organized. I can create custom lessons in slides for their distance learning success. Students can also create projects in slides and practice numerous skills needed as 9-10 year olds.

Inconvénients :

There are some features that are missing like the ability to use custom fonts from the internet. I miss not being able to use them. I also don’t like the adding an image feature. It’s easier in Microsoft Power Point.

You're Cloud Based Presentation Tool

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : I use Google Slides consistently to present information to my students, other teachers, and to collaborate with others. Beyond the more obvious presentation abilities, it's extremely versatile and integrates with many other Google tools, which help me use it daily. For example, my school has a Google Form that we fill out at the end of the day, and it automatically populates Google Slides for our afternoon announcements that get sent out to the staff. This is easy to suggest even with its lack of a few features.

Avantages :

Google Slides is almost everything you could want from PowerPoint, and more. With the same tools you would expect from PowerPoint, you can quickly make presentations and access them everywhere you have internet! If you are familiar with Google tools, the interface is easy to adapt to, and if you are looking for more features, you can download more Add-Ons to improve the performance! Not to mention that you can easily collaborate with others at the same time, this tool makes team presentations much easier.

Inconvénients :

There are a few features that are missing from Google Slides. Some of the customization options in PowerPoint aren't present here, and it's hard to see why they aren't. For example, if you are looking to have your slides advance on a timer, you can only set one overall time for every slide in the presentation, or you have to go through each slide and record how long you want them to stay. It would be much easier for you to be able to just type out how long you want each slide to last, or how much time in between transitions/animations, but again, the remaining features make these easy to overlook.
