Great service with simple API setup

Commentaires : The easy-to-use API and webhooks enable our organization to process hundreds of background checks automatically. We would not be able to run at the scale we are without this ability.

Avantages :

Being able to configure webhooks directly in the dashboard makes it a snap to connect Checkr to external Applicant Tracking Systems. This makes implementation possible even in low- or no-code organizations.

Inconvénients :

Some of the reports and background check results can be difficult to interpret. Thankfully customer service walked us through all of it.

Avantages :

The synchronization with Procare Online.

Inconvénients :

When we create a profile from Procare online and select a package, that package is not reported in the Checkr website. I have to select the package again when sending the invitation to the candidates.Also. When an invitation link has expired and a new new invitation link is sent to the candidate from Checkr website, that new link and its report results is not updated on Procare online. Procare still keeps the old expired link where as the candidate has been cleared but we can't see it on procare.

Even their Customer Success leadership team don’t care

Commentaires : Trying to implement CC-MVR for more than half a year now and still not done. We’ve been through 3 different customer success managers, all seem to be disappearing whenever you’d follow up on something they said they would do. I reached out to senior level leaders multiple times and was promised help, but I have never felt as helpless with any other vendor I’ve worked with in the past as I am with Checkr. I went through the correct channels but nothing gets resolved. RUN AWAY AND GO WITH ANOTHER BACKGROUND CHECK SERVICE PROVIDER.

Great choice for Planning Center integration

Avantages :

We use this as an integration with Planning Center to background check our many volunteers. It is quick and easy to use. I like that it provides an estimate of when the background check will be completed, allows you to cancel the invitation, and provides tags to filter the information for easy budget tracking.

Inconvénients :

The thing I wish they would change most is remove lines that contain cancelled invitations. It is a waste of space. I would also like to see the tags as a column on the Candidates page.

Commentaires : I love it and I want to always be using it whenever I have to run a background check.

Avantages :

The big thing is that Checkr integrates with Greenhouse. It makes running and keeping track of these checks easy without having to hop into another system for tracking.

Inconvénients :

I can't think of anything, everything is super great and support has been helpful.

NOTHING - Customer service is poor. Not able to speak with a live person.

Inconvénients :

I've been trying to reach someone at Checkr and the support is horrible. I run a company and need a reliable agency to provide services. I'll be looking elsewhere.

Great software for conducting background checks

Commentaires : Overall, its an awesome platform to integrate with your system for performing the hard manual work of doing background checks online.

Avantages :

Checkr provides a list of properly documented APIs which can be easily integrated with your system for performing background checks. The results shared by the APIs can then be used for making a decision on the candidate based on the background checks

Inconvénients :

Not much wrong about this software. It integrated nicely with your systems and for any issues which arise in integration, the customer can help you out for resolving those.

Wonderful to do background verification hassle free

Commentaires : Awesome experience. No paper work, any time results, more to digitialization, no need to store verification forms physically for future use prospective.

Avantages :

With this amazing software, can do background verification online. Saves time and more accurate. Just need to fill some basic information and required information is just a click away.

Inconvénients :

This is a new concept however not so popular. Need marketing of this.

Commentaires : Overall experience is good. On the Customer service side, Checkr can learn from Shield Screening-- Shield Screening out performs on the CS side

Avantages :

Ease of use and interface with HRIS. Generally the turnaround time is quick!

Inconvénients :

Wish there was a Customer Service rep that can be reached on the phone is very helpful for to 1 off situations.

Advantage and disadvantage of Checkr

Commentaires : Their is no problem at all, if I'm being honest, I wish that the Checkr will go directly on the candidate page like so we do not need to search them manually because sometimes, it can eat all our time and our AHT will be affected and we don't want that. However, using Checkr on check the BGC on our drivers is its very punctual and easy to use and utilize.

Avantages :

The features that is most impactful, specially to us, is the background check. Using this we are able to see their BGC result and assess what action we will take based on that. Also, we do not need to send the details of the result of their BGC because Checkr have an automated message that comes through the driver's email once their BGC result is ready or if they have an issue regarding to that. Plus, Checkr is so easy and convenient to use, whether you are first timer. We can definitely process easily with the help of this software.

Inconvénients :

The cons that I can see on using Checkr is that when we search the drivers manually using their name, email, or even UUID, it sometimes occupy alot of our time. It takes 2-3 minutes before its shows up. Furthermore, since we are assisting drivers and we usually need to see the candidate page and not the report page. It will be more less hassle if we click the driver's BGC from their application that route us to candidate page instead of report page.

Great Value for your money

Commentaires : Excellent customer service and they provide a lot of additional things, like free webinars, legal updates and the billing process is super easy.

Avantages :

It is one of the easiest background check products I have ever used. The have a great widescreen service that is extremely inexpensive, then if something is found it then goes into the pricer more drilled down options. Definitely provides the confidence that I am getting everything I need!

Inconvénients :

I don't like if you make an error on something like the email or the candidate changes their mind, you don't have the ability to completely delete request. I personally don't like looking at uncompleted requests knowing that backed out of the position. I would prefer to delete it completely!

Easily Integrated

Commentaires : We run many background checks each month on volunteers looking to work with children and vulnerable populations. I have great confidence in Checkr's ability to get me a quick report and link the information to profiles on our database.

Avantages :

The best feature was the ability to integrate this into our church's database software, Planning Center Online. We were easily able to set-up accounts, connect the two, and manage who is able to view the background checks from a platform we use regularly.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I haven't liked is that the branding/website seems outdated.

Commentaires : My over all experience for the Checkr is Very helpful in a way to determine the most important details of the applicant and I am satisfied on it's service.

Avantages :

for me the most impactful on this software is it's very reliable in terms of knowing the important details of the applicant. It's very impactful on both parties for the security of both applicants and the company. I am really impress on the developers.

Inconvénients :

There are times when the background check takes too long. for me that's the least I can review for this software and it's part of a process and I am still like it no matter what.

Best Background Check Software

Commentaires : We had an outdated program to run background checks with, but it was slow, pricey, and not very reliable. It was also not integrated to any other program, so once the results were out, they could be lost and we would have to pay all over again. Checkr solves all this and more. I am so excited to be using this program now.

Avantages :

This software was instantly my preferred choice because of its ability to integrate with our Planning Center and People software. I was easily able to run a background check on someone already in my database. It’s also a lot cheaper for the type of background check you’re getting than some other companies around. I was also impressed by the security measures it provides. You are able to choose between three packages, and you can opt for the more cost efficient one. However, if the person gets a hit, it will automatically run a more detailed check. Being that we are a church which lots of children, I appreciate it this measure a lot.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I didn’t like was the mandatory email sent to the person getting a background check. As per our church policy, they have to fill out a form and sign consent. However, Checkr then sends a mandatory email, and it won’t perform the background check until the person in question accepts via email. This is a tad redundant for our purposes, and really slows down the process, so I do wish the email was optional. However, everything else was a easy and straight forward.

Great for Paylocity!

Avantages :

I like how Checkr integrates with Paylocity - creating less steps and automating the process.

Inconvénients :

Contacting Checkr is not immediate, there is not a phone number to call for immediate assistance. It would be beneficial to set up either a plan contact or a monitored phone line for immediate questions - especially if we are in a time crunch and need to have some information. The majority of the time (with employment verifications) there are sections incomplete even if they were able to get ahold of the employer, like the end date for example. The last thing is their ability to override or cancel out a section of the background that isn't necessary after requesting it. For example, if someone accidentally inputs their education incorrectly because they didnt complete a degree - it should be as easy as a click of a button to override the process and mark it as completed after they receive the information that it was input incorrectly and the documentation was sent.

Commentaires : We used to use Pre-Employ. Hands down, Checkr is a much better product and has made the background check process so much easier!

Avantages :

Background checks are made easy with Checkr! Very user friendly and results normally come pretty quickly. Dashboard is well designed and keeps the user up to date. Love the "Request Story" feature built in to engage candidate when flagged. Also appreciate the pre and adverse action notices as well.

Inconvénients :

At this time, we don't really have anything to note.

Avantages :

Checkr is easy to use, has fast turn around and is compatible with Paylocity making it easy for hiring managers to push out the background checks themselves.

Inconvénients :

When someone has to go in and manually verify their social security number or information it takes too long for the turn around on these cases.

Avantages :

The background check process is very easy with our integration of Checkr and Paylocity, just a couple clicks and the candidate background check has started.

Inconvénients :

I would like the background check results to be accessible through Paylocity so we would not have to access Checkr.

Commentaires : Background checks are being done much quicker & more efficiently now. Makes it less of a hassle for those having to complete one also with it being done through email instead of on paper.

Avantages :

It integrates with Planning Center & makes it easy for us to start a check & let Checkr do the rest of the work for us. Seems to be very thorough & quick turnaround time. I love that it stores everything for us so we don't have a ton of files laying around with sensitive info in them.

Inconvénients :

Notifications are touch & miss. Sometimes I get an email that it cleared & sometimes I don't. Seems like. the ones stating someone needs looked at closer or considered never come through.

Owners…beware-no customer service

Commentaires : Although your backgrounds do come back in a timely fashion, your customer service is horribly lacking owners. Beware, I have found multiple incidences where I have been charged for fictitious employees.

Avantages :

Although it is easily paired with clear care of the customer service is highly lacking.

Inconvénients :

I have called and emailed over the span of 3 1/2 weeks. I have spent 3 1/2 hours of labor hours trying to get information regarding my cost. This is absolutely ridiculous.!!

Checkr - easiest background check provider

Commentaires : This is my second company that has used Checkr and I'm a huge fan!

Avantages :

Checkr is very easy to use. Once you have the types of reports you'd like to use set up in the system, all you need to do is add your candidate's email address to launch a search. The communication to our candidate's is clear and timely and the best feature is the report comes back quickly!

Inconvénients :

I rarely need customer support but when needed, it's only via email and response times can take a bit.
