Fantastic Platform

I've been using DOC 360 for the past year, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best document sharing platforms out there. DOC 360 has a clean, intuitive interface that makes it easy to upload, organise, and share documents. DOC 360 supports a wide range of file formats, making it a versatile tool for various document types. From PDFs to spreadsheets and presentations, it handles everything seamlessly. Whenever I’ve had questions or needed assistance, the customer support team at DOC 360 has been responsive and helpful. Their dedication to ensuring a smooth user experience is truly commendable. Overall, DOC 360 has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. It’s a reliable, efficient, and secure platform that has made document management and collaboration easier than ever. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch document sharing solution!

Inconvénients :

The only minor downside I've encountered is the occasional slow loading time for very large documents. While this isn't a frequent issue, it can be a bit frustrating when working with particularly big files. However, this is a minor inconvenience in an otherwise excellent platform.

Great authoring tool with great support

Commentaires : The transition from docs as code to Document360 has been very smooth. The support team has been there every step of the way and is very available whenever I have needed help. I always have a response within 24 hours and then receive updates regularly about the progress. Our main pain points with our previous documentation method, docs as code, were the lack of authoring features, the time spent on maintaining the front-end website, and unreliable or outdated content. Document360 has helped us to resolve each one of these problems. The authoring tools such as the review workflow for better collaboration, versioning, the glossary, templates, and content reuse have been essential to us. The ability for readers to leave feedback has also been a welcomed feature.

Avantages :

I love how easy and intuitive the interface is to use. I'm able to write, manage, publish, and customize everything from the same location smoothly and easily. The content editor has all the necessary features and more. Furthermore, the support team is always open to feedback to improve it. The article versioning capabilities are more helpful and intuitive than git or other tools. This allows me to get my work done quickly and effectively to publish on time and revert to any previous version if needed. It is very easy to fully customize the produced KB website to fit our needs. I a not a developer and don't like to spend my time fiddling with the front end but it has been very to customize and make changes. The support team is also very helpful and punctual when I've needed help to customize certain elements.

Inconvénients :

Some of the features available through Document360 are only available via add-ins and not by default, meaning the overall cost can increase depending on your needs.

Pourquoi passer à Document360 : Often authoring tools use XML but we have team members were aren't familiar with XML so Document360's WYSIWYG editor was preferable. Furthermore, we only create online content, not online and print content, we didn't need a huge system.

Just what our users required: easy to use and easy to find information

Commentaires : I tested a number of products and Document360 was the easiest to use as well as being very powerful. For example, during the trial, it took only a couple of hours to create a great looking home page.
We now use Document360 as our main documentation tool as it is very easy to create and maintain content.

Avantages :

The responsiveness to requests. The Document360 team are constantly improving and already great product by listening to their user base and adding features to make life easier for the developers suing it to create content. For example, we have multiple versions of each product in our suite and Document360 allowed creating a copy of an article to use as the base for a new version, but with hundreds of articles this was still time-consuming. Now they allow duplicating (cloning) whole categories, meaning we can clone a version as the basis for the next product release in minutes! We asked for it and Document360 delivered. Another example, we use the markdown editor and they have recently added spell-checking to this editor which was asked for and is a great addition.

Inconvénients :

The advanced search is very powerful but includes filtering that we don't want so would prefer not to display to our users.

Commentaires : Excellent product and customer experience. This is the premier tool to help manage customer and internal documentation. The tool is rich in features and their support team is very responsive.

Avantages :

Document360 is a powerful and versatile knowledge base solution with its user-friendly interface, rich feature set, and strong integration capabilities. Its strengths lie in its ability to facilitate efficient documentation management and enhance team collaboration.

Inconvénients :

The only minor issue we had was that our CSRs were switched several times but this did not take away from the quality of the support we received from Document369.

Avantages :

The overall experience is excellent. The tool is very powerful and user-friendly with a customer service team that is both responsive and proactive. It's very easy to manage all Azure applications efficiently and it proves to be very cost-effective

Inconvénients :

I'm fully satisfied with the tool and have not encountered any drawbacks yet. We had only minimal technical issues but that has been resolved by their customer support without any delays in our workflow.

Flexible knowledge base with top-notch support

Avantages :

I've been using Document360 for our internal knowledge base, which is privately accessed. It's been a great experience overall. The platform is flexible enough to meet our specific needs, and the support team has been fantastic. What I like best is how easy it is to use and their outstanding customer support. They've been incredibly proactive in helping us with configuration changes and design requests. I never had to follow up on anything we asked for - their tracking and follow-up are solid. The features are intuitive, and I especially appreciate how well it handles custom JavaScript. We use a lot of it, and Document360 accommodates it without any issues. If you're looking for a reliable, customizable knowledge base solution with great customer service, I'd definitely recommend giving Document360 a try.

Inconvénients :

Other than the price, I don't have any significant complaints. It's met our needs well.

Commentaires : Overall experience has been very good. As described above, the interaction with the Support and Development teams has been outstanding.

Avantages :

Document360 is quite straight forward and quickly to grasp on one hand, while feature rich on the other. What I like most though is the deep level of interaction we've had as a customer with the Support and Development teams at Document360. We had specific requirements about publishing to specific user groups, which are now part of the standard product. Document360 has really enabled us to lift customer facing documentation off the ground quickly.

Inconvénients :

I find using the Markdown editor somewhat difficult sometimes and it doesn't allow for automated spell check in that mode. Very glad that a WYSIWYG editor has been implemented recently, which allows the browser spell checker to do its job. Adding this WYSIWYG editor is another proof point that Document360 is not only what it is today, but they're continuously enhancing and extending their product.

Great Knowledge Base Product!

Commentaires : For a long time, our end-user documentation was located on SharePoint and over the years became very outdated and unorganized. Document360 has changed the way we design, organize, and maintain all of our end-user documentation for our technology applications at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a true Knowledge Base solution to solve a similar issue, I recommend Document360.

Avantages :

Document360 provides a Knowledge Base SaaS that is robust, but easy to use and maintain. The content tools feature(s) allows for you to design and create your documentation at a macro level, making the micro editing of that documentation very smooth. SSO and Security Permissions make for a more secure environment and analytics dashboards provide insights into your environment, documentation, and potential knowledge gaps.

Inconvénients :

Like any SaaS, there are occasionally bugs you are likely to run into with Document360. With that being said, Document360 has a support system in place to help navigate you through those issues.

Pourquoi choisir Document360 : As mentioned above, SharePoint did not prove to be a good solution for us any more to maintain our documentation and we needed to move to a true Knowledge Base.

Useful, easy to use, good value, friendly support

Commentaires : We have been able to update our Knowledgebase to provide better information to our customers, in a more attractive format, at a reasonable cost. We are very satisfied with their service.

Avantages :

We migrated from a legacy Knowledgebase platform that was old and out-of-date, and have been very pleased with our choice. The Document360 people have always been extremely helpful and friendly, and they respond quickly to support requests. The layout and features of the Knowledgebase are easy to understand and work with, and our customers are able to find information easily via search. Document360 regularly adds upgrades to its product while keeping prices very reasonable.

Inconvénients :

They have an open tracker for feature requests, and they are not very quick about responding to those.

User Friendly and Great Customer Support!!!

Things I like about Doc360:1. They have a great support team and try to resolve all queries as soon as possible.2. The software is very user-friendly and can be learned very quickly3. UI Customization can be done using HTML and CSS.4. It Provides a lot of integration options

Inconvénients :

Few things that can be improved:1. They do not have any overriding option to access any article. We need to wait for 15 min or request members access the file to release.2. Some limitations in the editor when we compare it with basic MS Word.3. Few additional features come with extra cost

Love Doc360, migrated from Paligo/Zendesk - but the support is the best part

Commentaires : We are about to launch the product, and we are super excited. We did an internal soft launch and we have already received a ton of positive feedback about the look and feel, the useability, and the search ( which was a huge thing for us)

Avantages :

-I love how easy the platform is to use.-the UI is absolutely incredible-post migration, customization is completely ready out of the box-their customer and technical support is unmatched - they answer 24/7 and I always feel like they are taking care of me

Inconvénients :

-the sales process could be a little more transparent. They had a price change that was coming up but didn't indicate how much the price would change, it almost made them irrelevant for us, but they were willing to work with us <3

I also will say that it seems like they deliver new features really swiftly and genuinely build their product for their customer base. They have a pretty incredible feature request platform & roadmap so I can upvote features I need.

Best knowledge base for our needs

Avantages :

It feels very intuitive. We first implemented an open-source solution that had a lot of great features but there were more than a few quirks that made it difficult to scale for the entire department to use. With Document360, it just seems to work. Creating and editing content is easy. Building and rearranging the navigation is easy. And customer support has been very responsive. There seems to be good energy behind the product with a strong pipeline of new features. We evaluated several competing products and Document360 came out on top.

Inconvénients :

The cost grows considerably with larger teams. The enterprise package comes with 20 authors but after that pricing is per author and there is no distinction between active content creators and casual content creators. I would like my entire department to be able to create knowledge articles but I know that many, if not most, will do so infrequently and the $19/month per user is steep for what they're contributing. I would like to introduce Document360 to the entire organization but the cost would be prohibitive for the number of users we would like to allow to create content but would do so very infrequently.

Reliable, comprehensive documentation solution for growing businesses

Commentaires : Overall, our experience with Document360 has been very satisfying. All of our must-haves, such as mixed user access to certain articles, SSO login, customizability for our information architecture, and integration with our company's existing tools make Document360 integral to our business' knowledge management. While there have been some drawbacks, Document360's customer service team has been responsive to feedback and typically stays in communication with us to give us updates. In summary, our experience has been positive, and we will continue to leverage Document360 for our documentation needs in the future.

Avantages :

Many documentation software offer similar features, but Document360 is by far the most customizable that we have found out of the box. We have a relatively large volume of articles for a company of our size, and Document360 is robust enough for us to manage and track that volume easily. Some of the most important features for our business is Document360's ability to have mixed viewing access to articles depending on the user's login permissions, and the ability to implement SSO login for our users. This allows us to have the level of control we need per article depending on the reader's permissions. Document360 also integrates with many popular software that's used in companies today, including our own.

Inconvénients :

There are a few usability issues we've encountered. These have typically been related to login issues and article viewing permissions. These directly affected our users' ability to view and access our documentation seamlessly. These issues were raised with the Document360 support team, and they worked to solve these issues while keeping in communication with out team. They have since been resolved, but it was frustrating at the time and took longer than we would've liked. There are also some limitations to the integrations Document360 offers. For example, we have found we cannot track all the events we would like via Document360's Google Analytics integration. We would also like more customization options for Slack notifications.

Solid documentation & KB solution with a very responsive product/support team

Commentaires : We use Document360 to produce documentation and knowledge base articles for our software products. In some cases our software links directly to this documentation, and we regularly direct our customers to this documentation when they have questions about our products or their configuration. Getting up and running with a diverse (technically speaking) team was a breeze.

Avantages :

Simple & intuitive to use, great out-of-the-box features. Has been easy to implement across our team, and has great collaboration features. Very responsive, proactive customer support & product management. Great visibility into activity by customers who use our documentation/KB articles.

Inconvénients :

The legacy WYSIWYG editor would frequently insert rogue HTML styles upon saving that had to be cleaned up manually. It appears that these issues have been resolved with their brand new editor, however. Pricing seems a little more expensive compared to other alternatives we've looked at.

Easy-to-use knowledge base with robust features and great customer support

Avantages :

As a standalone knowledge base, it has almost all of the features that I'm looking for: a good HTML and Markdown editor, a table of content, great searchability, and an easy-to-use CSS and JavaScript customization, among others. I have previous experience with other platforms such as Confluence and Salesforce, and by far this is the easiest to learn and use. Their customer support team is also stellar. They are professional and quick to respond to our queries.

Inconvénients :

It doesn't have a way to schedule an article for publishing or archiving. I wish it has support for bulk exporting of documents (from Word). Feature requests might take a while. Limited integration with other platforms.

A Super Convenient Documentation Tool

Commentaires : Overall my experience has been great! This is especially due to the phenomenal customer care and the specialists at Document360. Also, I appreciate the actions taken to improve Document360 given the feedback provided by customers. Last but not least Document360 has been the ideal option for the knowledge base at the company I am with because it is reliable and efficient.

Avantages :

Document360 offers an interface that is easy to use and customize. We have found that the tools and features offered enable us to break down information about our software in a manner that is digestible by our audience and gives us the flexibility to embed various types of media so that we can better control how to best deliver material to our clients. Furthermore, as an administrative user, the ability to assign roles and create workflows increase efficiency so that we can be even more productive as a team.

Inconvénients :

The only concerns I have encountered are minor bugs and the lag that occurs from time to time when editing or saving an article.

Really a 360-degree platform for Product Documentation

Commentaires : Doc360 is now our centralized documentation library serving our product users. Earlier, we were providing pdf docs to our users, which was very difficult to manage. With Doc360, we have published our documentation on the portals.

Doc 360 is a game changer in the product documentation space. A very simple yet powerful tool to serve best. Below are the points I like most: - Setting up a custom domain for your documentation portal. - Smart Glossary - Editor is the best in class, giving you a lot of flexibility - Ability to create and use reusable content has made life easier - Ability to make your document publically available with SEO enables as well as locking them from private use with a single click. - Smart bars made it easy for us to add any announcements.

Inconvénients :

I really don't have any dislike, but here are certain things that can be improved: - User experience while using the tables. - Sharing private documents with unique secured links

Commentaires : Document360 is contributing to the education of not only our users but the customer support team as well! Our support team is able to easily reference the knowledge base during their interactions which helps to also reduce their handling time.

Avantages :

Document360 is very easy to use at any level. Our operations team can seamlessly create new content while monitoring the performance of our current content. The integration process was quick for our team and we were able to seamlessly create new content as needed.

Inconvénients :

It would be nice if the video feature allowed you to embed within the article vs uploading as a youtube or Vimeo file.

Alternative for DITA for small to mid tier organizations

Commentaires : As I'm moving to a new org, I'm seeing what I can do to take Document360 along with me.

Avantages :

Document360 has been a breath of fresh air for me after seeing organizations taking it too far with DITA. I will applaud the tool for its simple UI-just MS Word-like and very easy to use! Its powerful Search funtionality is itself enough to make you an instant fan of the platform. Not sure about their backend SEO, but I make use of the slug, short description, and H2 & H3 headings and keywords to optimize my content.

Inconvénients :

Experience with Tables can be improved, but I'm told by their Customer Servicing team that some enhancements are on the way.
