Figma, indispensable du Product Design

Commentaires : Depuis que j'ai commencé à l'utiliser en 2018, découvrir ses nouvelles fonctionnalités au fil des mise à jour est vraiment très intéressant. Je l'utilise au quotidien et n'ai pas envie de migrer vers d'autres logiciels de maquettage, même en les ayant testé. Je le considère actuellement comme le leader du marché dans son domaine.

Avantages :

Depuis le début de mon utilisation de Figma (2018), son point fort initial a été son aspect collaboratif live. Encore aujourd'hui, c'est très pratique au quotidien. Pouvoir prototyper et partager en ligne les protos est également un point fort utile au quotidien. L'aspect communautaire est également un point fort puisqu'il y a beaucoup de ressources, d'aides et de plug-in à disposition. Enfin, l'UX global et son usage au quotidien sont très agréable et optimisé.

Inconvénients :

De part sa disponibilité online, il est parfois notable que le logiciel lag un peu. De plus, il n'est pas disponible en ligne.

Commentaires : Je délivré rapidement un projet car la conception d'une interface est très rapide surtout qu'on obtient le code HTML et css

Avantages :

L'intituivité dans la création des composants, la disponibilité d'une panoplie de plugins et des couleurs qui transmettent un bon visuel.La facilité avec laquelle plusieurs personnes peuvent modifier en même temps un Figjam ainsi que la conversion de l'interface en code HTML et CSS sont assez interressantes

Inconvénients :

Tous les éléments ne sont pas encore convertisable en css

Figma, meilleur outil de prototypage

Avantages :

Pour un petit prix, Figma propose tout ce qu'il faut pour créer des pages UI/UX, la fonction collaborative est très poussée. Il s'utilise aussi bien sur PC que Mac, en mode App ou web, contrairement à Adobe XD qui oblige à télécharger l'app.

Inconvénients :

D'un point de vue purement création, Figma est un peu moins puissant qu'Adobe XD, mais la collaboration en temps réel indifféremment sur app ou web est un gros atout.

Très bonne plateforme pour le prototypage. Facile à utiliser et avec des fonctionnalités qui font gagner du temps.

Inconvénients :

Je n’ai pas rencontré des problèmes avec Figma.

Un bon outil de design

Avantages :

J’utilise Figma pour du design pour le site internet et les réseaux sociaux de mon entreprise. C’est un outil pratique au quotidien, bien que certaines fonctionnalités ne soient pas faciles à prendre en main. Figma possède une multitude de plugins et de ressources, qui en font pour moi un excellent outil au quotidien.

Inconvénients :

Figma n’est pas un outil aussi complet comparé à d’autres, comme Adobe XD.

Avantages :

I have loved how easy it is to use as well as the extensive functionality. The days of Photoshop for me, are over. It also has absolutely changed my role in how I can support developers with the new Design to Dev feature, WITHOUT a true designer. I am in love.

Inconvénients :

Zero bad things to say. It's all minor things and the human element. The tool itself is amazing.

One of the best design tools

Commentaires : I always had a barrier of being able to see my designs and prototypes on multiple devices, figma made it simple. It also helped me better understand how I should act as a professional designer. Their tutorials are excellent.

Avantages :

I'm not really into design, but FIGMA makes things very simple and professional. The possibility to create designs, prototypes and share with clients is excellent, even better is being able to export to the development tool or simply use the CSS classes. In short, figma makes it simple to create, develop and deliver solutions.

"It was a perfect tool until the latest updates"

Currently, I'm designing a website consisting of a relatively large number of pages compared to my previous projects. However, I've encountered an issue with the latest updates in Figma, the design tool I'm using. After the recent update, Figma started displaying the amount of memory being used, which has exceeded 77 %.Figma recommends deleting unnecessary files to optimise memory usage, but I have already ensured that there are no extra files in the project. It's frustrating to face these performance and memory issues even before completing the site.Consequently, I am compelled to consider alternative design tools since working on this project constantly battles productivity.It's disappointing that Figma is unable to handle the required number of files for a single project, and the proposed solution of splitting the project into multiple files seems impractical.I have been a user of Figma for several years, but the recent influx of new features and updates has significantly hindered the program's performance. This situation prompts me to question whether these improvements were necessary if they ultimately resulted in such a critical deterioration of the program itself.

Figma out beats most competitive prototyping softwares in the market

Commentaires : It helps us with design prototyping and wireframing as per our project(s) needs. I find this software extremely effective and enthusiastic. In all circumstances, I will always recommend Figma to businesses, organizations, enterprises, and personnel.

Avantages :

Figma is an amazing software for application prototyping. It has a high affinity for design visualization and idea portraiture.It supports the most popular fonts that we often use throughout our designs and has an advanced and rich user workspace. I like its responsiveness to media queries and the editor is duper fast.Figma helps us craft amazing prototypes and wireframes as per our project(s) requirements and also enables us to directly merge them with our favorite development tools and thus, creating a seamless development experience.Its design layouts are very cool and we can collaborate on our projects easily.

Inconvénients :

I will say, Figma is not for beginners. Features are too overlayered. This makes it a little hard sometimes to properly figure out a specific feature and more to it, icons placements are not user-friendly

Figma is very adaptable and flexible to use, you can use it to makes prototypes but also design brochures or documents.

It can be complex to use at first and a constant learning journey on using it more powerfully to get all the benefits of its use

It is compatible with all devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, cellphones, and others. It works with both desktop PCs and mobile phones, allowing you to view your files from anywhere. Figma allows you to customise templates to meet your specific requirements. When deciding between Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma, I strongly recommend Figma.

Avantages :

Variants are part of the Figma component library. It (Variants) is a smart component management module. To structure the team asset library, just unclutter several copies of the same component and merge them. For those who want to collaborate, it is simple to utilise. You can access all of your Figma accounts, workspaces, and community profiles from a single interface. The most endearing aspect of the figma is the FIGMA PLUGINS. Figma plugins are powerful while remaining stable and secure. Overall, it's fantastic!

Inconvénients :

It lacks a rubber. In figma, there is no method to erase. And it requires an internet connection. This makes it impossible for you to work offline.

Figma - the best way to design

Commentaires : We had plenty of content, we had plenty of design iterations and it was all over. With Figma we created design system we use, with Figma we have plenty of boards that are connected to topics we run (UI, mobile app, card designs,...). I really recommend Figma to everybody who truly want to create complex design ecosystem.

Avantages :

I like complexity of Figma, that there is plenty of stuff you can do. You can have design system in it, you can run design sessions, you can design whatever you want - from BTL, to mobile app screens,...

Inconvénients :

I am not missing anything in Figma and I hope that Figma will be used as a main tool in all companies.

Commentaires : In the past, I would use a pen and paper to doodle rough schematics to show my clients what their final product will look like. But ever since I started using Figma, it's been simple not just for me to create prototypes, but also for the customer to get a clear idea of the product they'll receive from me. It helps clear up any questions about the requirements.

Avantages :

By far, FIGMA is the program that I enjoy using the most. Because it is so fantastic, every designer falls in love with this software. Because figma contributed to building trust, guiding emerging designers, and successfully addressing all needs, we can refer to it as a blessing for the design industry. Additionally, using it is easy. The Figma software's creators went above and beyond to satisfy each and every user need. You won't use anything else after you start using Figma.

Inconvénients :

When there is no internet connection, it cannot work function as well. Additionally, Figma occasionally slowed down significantly when I loaded large files.

Best tool for UI designing

Avantages :

Figma is one of the best tool for UI/UX designing. The prototyping in Figma helps both the developer and designer. The best part of it is that it has minimal tools but we can get so many thing out of the tools. Their are sufficient plugins which helps the designer to make the best design possible.

Inconvénients :

The online feature of figma are good but it would be great if they add more feature in Offline mode.

Unbeatable design collaboration

Commentaires : Overall, Figma is an extremely powerful tool that allows for next-level collaboration with teams and users and so much more. It is a world class design tool that competes with the very best of the other options out there. I'd even say it comes out on top of Sketch.

Avantages :

My overall favorite feature in Figma is the real-time collaboration on design files. This is invaluable to us in collaborating with other designers, product managers, and development teams remotely. The prototyping tools are amazing as well. I have created some pretty complex prototypes and I still haven't reached the full potential of what Figma's prototyping tools can do. The organization features (pages, files, projects) are very flexible. This allows us to create an organization structure the way we need it to work, instead of forcing a rigid structure on our team. Reusable component variants are a game changer! As is auto-layout for making components adapt to the content inside them as it changes (i.e. a button grows as you type text into the label). There are so many more things I could mention too!

Inconvénients :

Some features can be a little tricky to learn. Auto-layout, for example, took me a while to get a grasp of and I'm still not sure I have a full understanding of how to use it.

Never expected that design collaboration could be that easy.

Avantages :

All in one... I moved to Figma for the purpose of design collaboration but as I kept using it I realized it have everything that I need to design a product. From website design to mobile apps I'm all in on Figma. The prototype creation is smooth and the best part above all it kept improvising and understanding all about what we designers as a user want from a design tool.

Inconvénients :

Although the prototype creation is smooth but it only allows you to have one main frame on a page. That creates problem for me when creating prototypes for micro interactions. I have to create multiple pages to have multiple prototypes. There are easier ways in terms of experience to fix it and I hope sooner Figma will improve this part too.

Figma finally grows into a suitable Sketch replacement

Commentaires : Figma has grown into a proper design tool rivaling Sketch and XD. It beats Sketch by being available on both Windows, macOS (and probably anything with a modern enough browser) and it definitely beats Adobe XD by having a logical and familiar UI and just working as expected (for some reason I've had troubles with XD every time I tried it).

Avantages :

Cloud-based, works on both macOS and Windows, very easy to collaborate and/or share design files across the team or to the client. Coming from Sketch, the UI is very similar and I was able to start designing with virtually no adjustment period. From what I understand, interactive components with independent animation states should be released soon in 2021 — that should make Figma a suitable replacement for the Sketch + Principle stack I use currently. Being able to share design documents, animated prototypes and specs within a single service would be a killer-feature.

Inconvénients :

Subjectively, on my 2012 Macbook Pro 15-inch with Retina the app may run slower than desired sometimes. Overall can't think of anything in particular that I wouldn't like.

Figma is an excellent choice for efficient design processes and development handoff

Commentaires : I'm on a UX team for Finance performance solution software. We work on difficult products with lots of unique problems to solve on a daily basis from admin screens to analytics visualizations to bringing excel-like functionality to web-based solutions. Overall, Figma lets us collaborate and work quickly with tight deadlines and agile teams that need to also understand what we are designing.

Avantages :

Figma is easy to learn, and available on any computer thanks to its web-based capability. Versioning comes in very handy, as well as commenting, sharing, and fairly user-friendly prototyping features. Figma is affordable, but scalable. You can have a very robust UX team utilizing it. It's a user-friendly wireframing and prototyping power house.

Inconvénients :

While it's easy to use, there's still a learning curve. I was a Sketch user, and Sketch is still faster to design in. Also, if you want a really complex prototype, it can get tricky. And, having a local version of Figma is still cloud-based. So, working offline will give you limited capability.

Commentaires : Figma is an easy to use design system for collaboration. I love how easy it is to collaborate on design elements and store them in the system. Figma is a great way for me to stay organized and productive with my designs.

Avantages :

Figma's great sharing tools are a top reason to use this high-quality app. We all go there to get anything that has been created and know it will be on-hand for reuse throughout our apps and dashboards. We use it as a DAM in that way, too.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the folder structures can be a little confusing but it's manageable.

The best of the best

Commentaires : Figma helps us prototype and design much more quickly than ever before. It's extremely helpful in creating results that can be reviewed by stakeholders and legal without much fuss.

Avantages :

Figma builds off what other similar solutions offer in providing a very simple, easy-to-use interface with both an web-based and app experience that makes it more versatile and useful in my day-to-day work. I also like that Figma does what a lot of other tools don't do: It factors in the importance of content within design.

Inconvénients :

Content within design relies on 3rd party plug-ins for Figma. It would be nice to see this functionality built into the app itself.

Excellent design tool for wireframing, UX and UI designing.

Commentaires : Its a great collaborative design tool which works seamlessly and streamlines the design process. It will definitely make your designing experience productive and enjoyable.

Avantages :

I have been extensively using Figma from last 3 years as a preferred design tool to create wireframes and UI mockups along with the design teams. If you need multiple team members to work on a design board simultaneously (in a real time collaborative way), this can be your go-to tool. It also provides in-app comment features, so business stakeholders can easily share their feedback on specific design component and design/product team can see those comments directly in Slack. For development teams, even though we often used 'Zeplin' to get corresponding CSS code snippets for design components but Figma also directly displays the CSS code for developer's ease. It's super intuitive and productive tool.

Inconvénients :

One big challenge of using Figma is that there is no offline functionality. Meaning, it requires an active internet connection while using this application and it makes it harder to work from remote locations where you might have internet connectivity issues.

Collaboration in real time is quite fantastic.

Figma makes it incredibly simple to collaborate on one or more projects.Figma offers logical file organization into teams, projects, files, and pages in addition to meta structure, making it more than just a design tool (shared styles and components).In a way I couldn't achieve with what was available before, Figma enables me to communicate what I do and pique people's attention (Sketch).

Inconvénients :

There aren't many different picture altering tools in Figma. It is not a user-friendly feature to drag, drop, and resize an image.I am unable to work offline. When a connection is lost, I must remember to store offline files.In some browsers, Figma does not function.

Lightweight and affordable solution for UI/UX Design

Commentaires : Figma has provided me a great experience when working with it alone or along side with my team. It is my organization solution for UI and UX design and so far, I'm glad that the software is very easy to use and also affordable.

Avantages :

I like the fact that this software is available on both online and offline form. It helps me get my job done smoothly whether there is a internet access point or not. The software itself is very lightweight yet has bundled with powerful tools for UI and UX design.

Inconvénients :

The software compatibility could use a little improvement, also for the internet environment. When I'm working online with a slow wireless connection, bugs and crash might happen so it is really important to check the speed of connection if you want to work online with it.

Best UX/UI draw platform

Commentaires : The overall experience is very good and the features outweigh the problems. We have a team of 10 using the software and 4 developers and everyone can use it without any problems.

Avantages :

The best feature of Figma is the collaborative tool, where all the team can work together and at same time. Another great feature is the prototype tool, making possible animated prototypes with great quality and shareable to everyone to test on their own devices.

Inconvénients :

Comparing to other softwares like Sketch, Figma has a problem with importing vectors. If you want to import a vector or image, you need to export it as SVG to later import it to Figma and if you are using Sketch you only copy in illustrator or another software and paste in the sketch.
