A really great online scheduling/payment software

Avantages :

The software is very easy to use and train employees on. Jackrabbit allows clients to store their credit card information online and makes it much easier for collecting payments. Love that everything we need is in one software- employee time clock, scheduling, payments, and online registration. Another great feature is the snapshot of revenue comparison and reports that you can pull from the information you gather. Customer support is absolutely phenomenal. They have guided me along the way since day one!

Inconvénients :

It doesn't fit every scheduling need we have. Although, after trying out 5-6 other scheduling softwares, Jackrabbit was by far the best fit. I don't particularly like the view (snapshot) of the schedules for instructors.

Game Changing Software for our business

Commentaires : We love JackRabbit. They have great customer service, they are continually rolling out improvements and have really helped make our business easier to run!

Avantages :

I love the ease of use for parents and staff alike. It puts most of the functionality of our business in one place.

Inconvénients :

The only downside we have seen so far is not having open API which makes us have to do a handful of things manually instead of being automated. It still adds a ton of value, this is just a direction we hope they head in the future.

Good but could be great

Commentaires : Overall, JR has been good and we are happy. That being said, there are certain features that we are very frustrated to not have available to us. These features listed above are nearly dealbreakers for us and we truly hope that JR can add them in the near future.

Avantages :

Customer support for initial setup was great. Every call we’ve had with customer support has been amazing.

Inconvénients :

There HAS to be a way to let a customer input a promo code to get a $ or % off their purchase. The balance owed during checkout should immediately be reflected based on the promo code input. The same goes for entering a gift card #. If a customer inputs a gift card #, the balance at checkout should immediately deduct that amount prior to payment being submitted.We are also desperate for a feature that will automatically inactivate/close out classes when other classes in the same time slot become booked. We have a max of 4 lanes in our pool but we offer 6 or 7 possible classes in each time slot. When a 4th class receives a booking, we need the other classes in that time slot to automatically be inactivated/closed out.

Love the software support

Commentaires : Overall, our staff has loved using Jackrabbit. The staff portal is easy to use, the payment processing takes time to figure out but once you do, it is easy to operate, and we normally have very little problems with the Parent Portal side of things.

Avantages :

We love that we can reach out and get a response and solution to any problem quickly. With more than 500 families that we are serving on any given day, it is super important to be able to troubleshoot fast.

Inconvénients :

No coupon code. We would love to have the option to offer a coupon code to families.

Jackrabbit- Swim Lessons

Commentaires : My overall experience has been great. I recommend it for its customer service alone. I think it checks most checkboxes for various fitness/recreationally based business needs.

Avantages :

The pricing structure was a big point of emphasis for us. We are a start up swim lesson program and needed to do some research for different programs that met our need and was affordable. Jackrabbit was great in this regard because it allowed us to be on a lower tier until our memberships rose. I also love the customer service. The amount of training and help I received when we first purchased the software all the way through our implementation of the Jackrabbit Plus App has been phenomenal. They are patient and make sure you understand the features fully.

Inconvénients :

There is a learning curve with the program. This could be a turn off, but I believe once you learn its quirks it becomes easy to use. This could include setting up the overall business to creating classes and dealing with the parent portal. There are some steps that are necessary, but seem like they could implement better because initially if you forget to set something up you will have to restart and fix the issue to catch back up.

Aquatic School Review

Avantages :

Joackrabbit can do most things if you can figure out how. If you can't figure it out, their customer service is excellent to help and they take feedback to build out new features.

Inconvénients :

We are excited for the check-in feature to be added for parents and for when we can choose which classes automatically get makeups and which class types do not so that we are able to use the function to let parents submit their own absences.

There are a lot of reports that seem to not give accurate info simply because there are so many options that go into a report that could change the outcome, got to find the right combination.

Avantages :

The customer service is incredible! They pair you up with someone to help you start out and let you use all the features on a trial to see if you like it. The scheduling features and skills tracking sold it for me! Great software.

Inconvénients :

We have an extensive waitlist right now. Jackrabbit charges per student and it gets pricey. I don’t like this feature as much because it causes me to not use the online registration and have to frequently update my leads if a family doesn’t sign up. It also doesn’t save all their information once you put them into the lead file. I also wish we could set a time for registration to open. Not just a date. Our parents are crazy so we have to allow their access one at time.

Jackrabbit user for 13+ years

Commentaires : We have only used Jackrabbit software. We started at the Dad's Club in 2007 and started using Jackrabbit in late 2008. We have looked at other programs but none have compared to the schedule organization and value that we receive from Jackrabbit Swim.

Avantages :

We love using Jackrabbit Swim for multitude of reasons. It keeps our instructors, schedules, and family accounts organized. We run multiple programs through our software; children's and Adult swim lessons, clinics, lifeguarding, safety courses and summer league. We were excited to implement Jackrabbits new policy agreements, we have been able utilize and integrate different agreements for our individualized programs. The overall blanket policy agreement was not not working for us and now with multiple policies our clinics and Adult programs do not have to agree to our "Double Diaper Policy".

Inconvénients :

We have issues with double booking instructors, the ability to post credits to family accounts for a specific day (ie; Thursday classes were cancelled and we were unable to provide make-ups, so we had to post credits to all the Thursday families through each class) and there's no "Class Cancelled" button on the staff portal attendance with the option to set a make-up date and the class show in the portal for attendance.

Best Swim Lesson Registration/Scheduling Software I've found

Commentaires : Originally used Jackrabbit and thought I would try another scheduling software...I was seduced by some Australian accents...about 3 days before going live, everything fell apart and I realized I could not use a company who took so long to respond to urgent questions. I was able to get everything up and running with Jackrabbit in those 3 days (and I was setting up approximately 500 classes/groups) and it all went off without a hitch!

Avantages :

I love that registrations are electronic...that you can access remotely...reports are easily generated...seamless transactions with credit card processor...super fast response time to questions or concerns about the software. Loving the prorating for tuition. We use the software for swim lessons and swim team.

Inconvénients :

The daily calendar of events does not allow for sorting by instructor or show students on a print out. We end up having to copy and paste into our own daily print out. Entering swim meet fees is time consuming as it must be done by loading each individual family.

Jackrabbit Experience

Commentaires : It has been awesome! Customer support has always been very polite with answering my millions of questions. I’m getting more used to all of the drop-down menus and trying to use new features. I’d like for here to be more frequent webinars on all the extra features people may not realize exist or that could be utilized differently. There is so much to this software and I know I’m not using it to it’s full potential cause I’m not sure how!

Avantages :

I enjoy how easy it is to organize all data entries for each student and the different tools for viewing classes.

Inconvénients :

Sometimes there are features that aren’t as accessible or don’t make sense. For example, I’d love to be able to send automated reminder emails to my parents for when tuition is about to be taken out. I don’t like that emails can only be sent out 90 days in advance. Why is this?

Avantages :

Cannot do a waitlist!! Cannot print roll sheets a usefull manner that will help the instructors!! Cannot match up students very easily!! Tech support does not seem to have any solutions that could work for us.

Jackrabbit Swim has helped us streamline our business operations and be better organized.

Avantages :

We are able to use it for our swim lessons as well as a swim team. It is nice to use one piece of software for both although it's not perfect for our business model. Support responds quickly even if they are not able to fix the issue immediately.

Inconvénients :

There are times when the software doesn't seem to have been tested well in an actual user environment. Some things just don't make sense. I think many recurring tasks could be accomplished with less mouse clicks. I wish the end-user had a more ability to customize reports and statements (i.e. I would like to be able to create a report completely from scratch with input and output of my choice).

Easy to use interface for Managers and Families

Avantages :

It was pretty easly to learn how to navigate Jackrabbit and we love the parent portal that our families can access. The tech support is amazing in answer any questions!

Inconvénients :

There are some features that would help our business be more efficient. Although there is a place where we can post our suggestions, it takes a long time for them to be heard and added to the system. However, we love that Jackrabbit is listening to our feedback and continuously improving the software.

Solid Platform

Commentaires : Jackrabbit allows website registration and frees up office staff time, and they now have prorated fees, based on the number of lessons, rather than just a monthly fee.

Avantages :

Jackrabbit keeps growing and getting better. The development team comes out with new additions regularly, and their communication about it is excellent! The customer service is the best part of Jackrabbit. Answers are very timely morning, night and weekends! I've never experienced that before with a software company. They have many training videos and a help section with lots of answers as well. The software has lots of options of doing things YOUR way. There are many fabulous reports too.

Inconvénients :

It allows a teacher to be booked in more than once place at a time.

Support is awesome! I like that we can contact support in many ways.

Inconvénients :

I am still having trouble getting reports to google sheets and documents. Support has tried to help a few times, but it still does not work for me. I really need a week at a glance report that is sorted by day, instructor, time and shows student names. I use this constantly and need to create it manually. I know Jackrabbit will do a similar report but it takes a dozen pages. Need this report on one page.

JackRabbit has always been extremely helpful in every situation.

Avantages :

JackRabbit is constantly working to improve their software. There are enhancements released weekly. Support is quick to respond and will work through any situation. There is also a Facebook group to post questions to other users. I find this very helpful to get other people to help find solutions.

Customer Service is the best. The response is so quick and everyone is very friendly.

Avantages :

The software is pretty easy to navigate. We use the weekly page the most and all the updates have been very useful.

Inconvénients :

The software is not always user friendly. We have multiple classes at the same time with the same level. This makes it hard when we charge for tuition. I always have to go in and check certain fields to see if tuition was posted correctly. Most of the time it discounts to much. This is the biggest concern for me.

Commentaires : Usually things work just fine. Would prefer easier filters that are more facility focused on the needs of the facility.

Avantages :

I love the functionality to tie registration through our website resulting in a seamless user interface that is not only easy to use, but also family friendly.

Inconvénients :

Transferring students is overwhelming displaying classes in a list view.

Superb Data Management software

Commentaires : excellent experience with Jackrabbits Swim. Customer service is terrific. Allows us to run our business with effectively. Staff can login and see what they need to see.

Avantages :

Highly functionable , excellent features that allows us to manage our database effectively and efficiently.

Inconvénients :

billed per student. Does not matter if enrolled or not. Moving to lead file helps, but lose that accounts data.

We have used Jackrabbit Swim for over 10 years now to manage our swim school customers.

Avantages :

It's very user friendly, anyone can use it. We are able to manage thousands of customers, class schedules and multiple locations. JRC customer service is very helpful and responsive when we have issues.

Inconvénients :

We don't really have any complaints. Some reporting aspects are not as detailed as we would like but there is usually a way to figure out a way to get what we need.

Swim School with 2K participants Need Jackrabbit

Avantages :

Customer services is definitely the greatest strength while we transitioned our staff. We like how easy our parents can navigate the system with minimal conflicts.

Inconvénients :

We have a list of class offerings at the same time. The categories can be complicated if a parent has multiple swimmers at the same time.

Love the little details! Could use some streamlining!

Avantages :

I love the small details about students! The “new student” notification, allergy/medical awareness, and reminders about student birthdays as I’m preparing for the day and looking over my schedule is a nice personal touch that allows me to connect to each student as I see them!

Inconvénients :

I would love to see an option with attendance for the day that allows me to “select all” classes and mark them present. That way I can get the majority of my students marked in a click and only have to deselect one or two rather than going back and forth through managing classes and attendance for single student private lessons!
