LinkedIn's job board easily outperforms competitors

5,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Commentaires : The service as a whole is better than most of the Job Boards available on the internet, and there's a whole lot competition out there, certainly. I still feel like LinkedIn is about at the same level, quality-wise, as Indeed, but Indeed has been around for a long time as one of the top job boards around. I think it's a great service overall, and will likely continue to improve.

Avantages :

My favorite thing about LinkedIn Jobs is it's seamless integration with all of LinkedIn's other excellent employment-related services, such as LinkedIn Learning and Sales. Using a very easy to see portal at the top you can quickly navigate to these other services and use them in conjunction with the Job Board.

Inconvénients :

I felt that the number of skill assessments offered were somewhat limited, or that the ones that were available could be more imaginative. That whole section felt less fleshed out than its counterpart on Indeed, and I expected LinkedIn to beat Indeed in that department.

Good points and bad points of recruitment

3,0 il y a 4 ans

Commentaires : There can be no doubt that this profile-based job alert system is pretty good.
The one-click application process is a bonus.
Sometimes, however, all you receive is an automated acknowledgement from the recruiter, not necessarily the fault of LinkedIn, but perhaps they (LinkedIn) ought to force ALL recruiters to actually formalise a rejection so at least you know where you stand.

Avantages :

Possibly the strongest point in favour of LinkedIn Jobs is the fact that when you indicate you are looking for a job, you are fed relevant jobs based on your profile without being plagued by irrelevant jobs from fishing recruitment consultants. There can be no doubt that in terms of relevancy, LinkedIn tends to be more "transparent" than the average aggregate job site because more jobs pro-rate are placed directly by the actual recruiters rather than commissioned intermediaries. The fact that your job seeking is based on your public profile is of benefit to both you as the user and to recruiters out there - assuming there is honesty on both parties! It is also helped by the fact that direct-recruiters seem to have made a LinkedIn profile part of their recruitment requirements, which reinforces the usefulness of LinkedIn Jobs, and you can rely on the fact that unless you see otherwise (often rather obvious from any job advertisements), most positions will be genuine, as it is easy to see which are direct opportunities, and which are through (dreaded) third parties who may be on a fishing expedition. The process of completing your job profile couldn't really be simpler, and it does encourage you, because your peers will be present and will often see your profile, of being honest and open, which is not a bad thing.

Inconvénients :

Once the "good and the great" recruitment consultants start posting jobs for their "leading clients", many of which are neither leading nor in fact often even their actual clients, usability and transparency dips dramatically. The downside might be that you do not necessarily wish your public LinkedIn profile to say you are actively job hunting. Also, the fact that "busy" HR people are too often self-importantly "too busy" to perform the simple process of tracking and reporting back a rejection, if only out of simple courtesy and good manners, so the oneness is on you to remember that "if you don't hear back within 10 days you can assume they are not taking your application any further". However, in fairness, this new-found lack of courtesy is part of the problem with modern HR and no necessarily with LinkedIn

Linkedin is the first in the world

5,0 il y a 4 mois

Commentaires : In general, my experience for many years in Linkedin was more than wonderful and through it I got a great benefit and found a lot of learning and professional development resources and many job opportunities because it contains a very huge network of users.is one of the best means of communication in the world, which combines job seekers with offering their services and companies looking for employees, in addition to contributing to the advancement of the career path through many of the features and services it provides, especially in accounts with a paid plan.

Avantages :

In my opinion, it is very suitable for those who want to have professional accounts that show the services you provide or the skills they master, a comprehensive and professional resume, applying for employment applications, and many other features Which many see as very important for success in offering and marketing to professionals, academics, and even craftsmen or owners of talent, whether they are looking to develop their skills and professional development, or they want to gain friendships that can help them develop and advance in their professional path.Easy to use, professional profile organization.makes it easy to post a job for companies and determine the type of competence and level of experience required, which allows obtaining the best candidates without much effort, as well as for those looking for a job that suits them.It contains a huge user base with many offers and many good opportunities and marketing tools suitable for everyone. It allows users, whatever the purpose of their use, to take a look at someone’s professional journey with just one click, with ease, in an organized and effective manner. This platform has access to many networks, and I also believe that they have the ability to conduct more research about the company they are applying to through JOB SEEKERS, which adds more credibility and safety. What I like most about it and what I used in this platform is Linkedin Learning that comes with it. I participated in a lot of edu.

Inconvénients :

It's a bit expensive and filtering is still a bit complicated.I was using it for a full time job but since I am unemployed it has been very difficult to keep paying, and free posts are not shared as widely as compared to paid ones. There are some problems that appear sometimes regarding the modification of some personal or functional data or other personal data, but not always.Twice I saw reviews of fraudulent and incorrect job offers, and when I reported it, unfortunately, the response and action was delayed, but overall it is the best platform for checking offers compared to other providers of such services.

Connecting Job Seekers with Opportunities

4,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Commentaires : I have positive experiences with the platform, citing its user-friendly interface, extensive job listings, and networking capabilities. the platform offers a range of tools and resources, such as resume builders and interview preparation materials, that can assist users in their job search.

Avantages :

its extensive database of job listings, which cover a wide range of industries and job types. This allows users to tailor their job search to their specific needs and interests. Build and maintain professional connections. This can be especially valuable for those seeking jobs in competitive industries.

Inconvénients :

It requires a subscription for users to access some of its more advanced features, which may be a drawback for some users who are looking for a free job search platform. Additionally, some users have reported that the job search filters on LinkedIn Jobs can be limited, making it more difficult to narrow down job listings to their specific needs.

Good for personal use, way too expensive for HR

5,0 il y a 2 mois Nouveau

Commentaires : In my company we actively use it to search for new candidates. The initial boost is a great competitive advantage, but then if you don't pay you end up forgotten.

Avantages :

On a personal level, it's a great tool for finding specific jobs in the industry you work in. On a professional level, it has helped us a lot to find specialized figures that we could not have found in other ways.

Inconvénients :

The fact that you need to have a very large circle of contacts limits the vision of potential excellent candidates if you use it professionally for recruiting. The cost for professional use is disproportionate.

LinkedIn Jobs not only helped me but helped our team recruit some of the best team member around!

5,0 il y a 4 ans

Commentaires : The hardest part about recruiting is the sheer amount of candidates you have to sift through, not knowing if they'd be a good fit right off the bat. With LinkedIn Jobs, you are able to build that personally connection in what their career goal and passions are, which is very important to our department.

Avantages :

I love how robust this software is while searching for job openings. Because a lot of things are integrated with your LinkedIn Profile, it makes applying for a job you want that much easier. Not only did it help me land the job I am currently at, it helped with the recruiting process while hiring more members of our team. Because our team doesn't have our own recruiter, the usability and UI of the software made posting a job very painless and took up only a small percentage of our time. I'd highly recommend this to others looking to recruit great candidates!

Inconvénients :

There's not much I disliked about the software. The learning curve to this software isn't too steep for users that are not tech savvy, but it could use more training tools to learn about all the features that are available to them. That required a little bit of digging.

LinkedIn review by Technical Support

5,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : I am very satisfied and I am looking forward to the future of LinkedIn Jobs and what it will deliver back to us with time.

Avantages :

I really appreciate a possibility to have this kind of platform out there for free, where people from all around the world can get in contact and can contribute to each other's work by exchanging information required for the success of their project. Also, it is huge advantage for anyone to have ability to search for a work via LinkedIn, as it is providing a lot of information back to the user about different possibilities for work around the world ( especially the remote ones ).

Inconvénients :

Sometimes when I use the search for jobs that are near my city ( in certain distance from the place where I live ), I keep getting jobs from outside the search criteria ( especially country ).

Overall, a very efficient tool for the job seeker

4,0 il y a 2 ans

Commentaires : Overall, I was pretty satisfied with the opportunities found on LinkedIn Jobs. Depending on your location, you can find a great deal of jobs that just aren't found elsewhere along all the ones that are.

Avantages :

Two things that really made this one of my "go to" tools when exploring other opportunities were that a good number of their postings were not found elsewhere (other online sites) and the number of different layers and options to dig deeper into a company, industry or location. Another great tool they offer is being able to go to the company page and see all your connections that work or have worked there. This is great for having someone either open a door for you or put in the proverbial "good word"

Inconvénients :

as with most online job search sites, positions that are filled often remain up long after they're filled. another thing that got annoying after a while was that certain companies would add a ridiculous number of the same job every single day so that if you toggle the switch to see just new listings you see all those same listings every single day. LinkedIn needs to fix that issue.

Avantages :

The software allows you to see how many people have applied to the job - understand competition. You also can go directly to the website to apply directly with the company

Inconvénients :

It tells you how many have viewed or applied for jobs. Discouraging the user to not apply.

Commentaires : We will continue to use this as we do see it as a benefit to our orgnization.

Avantages :

There is a large pool to choose from and alot of recources that can be had within this program. I like that it is a well managed and designed site. They market themselves very well which gives employers a larger pool to choose from.

Inconvénients :

A lot of the candidates that we are getting are not qualified, too far away or just not what we are looking for. It could possibly be that the candidates are shooting for the stars and ignoring the minimum qualifications. We also see less candidates for our technician jobs and more for our admin jobs. We are hoping for technician interest in the future.

The tool to your next job

5,0 il y a 3 ans

Commentaires : Overall, using LinkedIn is an excellent platform, it's very useful and helpful to people that are looking to search for jobs, improve, and share information/articles from different subjects that are happening in the work force.

Avantages :

I'm an active user of LinkedIn, it's easy and quick to use. It's a great platform to search jobs and keep in touch with fellow coworkers or potential new employers. The layout to upload your resume is excellent, it's easy to use, the design of it is simple and professional, and what I like the most is that it's easy to edit. People can post relevant articles of the work force, and it's exclusive to that. You can find out what's happening in different companies and industries, in different countries around the world. What's also great is that you can add people to be part of your contacts, it can be people that you know, but it can also be different of levels of hierarchy, from associates to executives that you don't know, and they are all just one click away. Even [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is on LinkedIn, how cool! You can start by setting up a basic account for free, and it gives you enough access to the platform. You can see who is viewing you profile, which is exciting, but also nerve-wracking (You are being watched). I like that you can congratulate when any of your contact gets promoted, I find that very inspiring and motivating.

Inconvénients :

What I like the least is that you can't access information, or benefit from certain features if you don't pay for premium, which limits the productivity in finding a job. It's supposed to be a tool for people that depend on a job to sustain.
