A Robust Ecommerce Platform for companies large and small

Commentaires : Shopify Plus has been a game changer for us. Conversion rates improved 50% after deployment. Site speed is phenomenal, the dashboards are great, uptime is great, and access to the app catalog cuts development time down to a matter of days. We have deployed more features and services in less than a year, something which would have taken multiple years at 3-4x the cost on our prior platform.

Avantages :

Ease of use and cost. We went from a commerce solution that required 3-4 developers, took weeks to months to deploy simple features. We now have one we developer that can deploy key features in a matter of hours or days at a quarter of the cost of the previous platform. The thousand of apps also provide additional features that can be rolled out quickly and effectively, creating a robust website in a manner of weeks from the beginning of the engagement.

Inconvénients :

Hard to complain about the platform. To expedite the development and roll-out we choose a theme that was a close fit to how we wanted the site to look and function. However there are not an unlimited number of themes and while we are happy with the results so far, we are limited in terms of some design elements that we want to try out and test out. Overall not a large problem.

Good and Powerful Platform of Simple Business Structure

Avantages :

If the implementation is standard then Shopify Plus is a great option with many out of the box features and easy integrations via 3rd party apps.

Inconvénients :

If the implementation is very customized, like it is for our business, then Shopify Plus can be complicated to work with vs other eCommerce Platforms than allow for greater customization.

A quick start platform that is easy to outgrow

Commentaires : Shopify is not transparent about up times and site outages. The platform also has issues with basic data and calculations. I've noticed that our conversion rate is often off by a significant amount. When I talked with their support team about this, I was told that they would submit a ticket.

Avantages :

It's quick and easy to setup a Shopify+ store

Inconvénients :

It's quick to setup but a number of the advanced feature needed for modern Ecommerce are bolt on point solutions that vary greatly in quality and manageability.

Shopify Plus - overall the best choice

Commentaires : Overall it's very good. One thing they really need is a better inventory control experience. It's very limited and clunky.

Avantages :

It's easy to plug in apps to customize your site functionality and user experience.

Inconvénients :

Shopify no longer refunds fees when an order is cancelled or refunded. This is a huge cost to vendors. In general support is good but sometimes it takes a little back an forth to get a solution.

Commentaires : I am a developer using this over the past years and the journey by far was awesome, almost learned all the gotchas and tips and tricks and with every update, Shopify plus is improving its capabilities and making the business handle the problem easier, Shopify support for plus is also excellent and offers a solution to all of. your problems and that is to on 24x7.

Avantages :

It has some awesome features like detailed analytics which can help you increase sales, also you have the capabilities you can compare them across all of them. They have inbuilt flow software to create the automation you will ever need. you can manage the POS store sales and online sales on one platform and with many abilities on customizing your storefronts and checkout and integrates with every popular software in the market. For the developers, it has the scripts section which can create custom solutions without using an app.

Inconvénients :

I think the pricing for the plus is a lot expensive and hence only suitable for businesses that operate at a larger scale, I believe they should be reliable so that the medium-range or smaller tier can also accommodate this software.

No reason to not start with Shopify

Commentaires : I think it's the only and best way to get started with eCommerce business, with the number of options for the price.
Sometimes I make mistakes with software and it takes me a lot of time to switch to better solutions, but with Shopify I think it's a good investment of time into building a shop with them.

Avantages :

I love how you get hundreds of features for really low price and I see no competition to that. Recently Shopify added even more value with AI. It speeds a lot of things, I can quickly fill different fields, email automations, product pages with it and with no additional cost. Also they are expanding with e-mail automation and I don't have to use 3rd party software for e-mails anymore, which saves me even more money.

Inconvénients :

The only thing I disliked so far is that as a new user to the platform you can get overwhelmed with features and it would be really useful to hide some or have some kind of clickthrough on-site tutorials. Sometimes they also make changes to the interface and it can be confusing what happened, but I guess it depends how often you use the software to learn what is what.

Perfect for Small-and-Medium Businesses

-Ease of use (my team loves the UI of the Shopify Plus back end far more than WooCommerce) -3rd party integrations galore -Really clean theme + shopping experience -Integrates with Lightspeed POS + Shipstation + Accumula for a powerful omnichannel setup

-The CMS and page building leaves a LOT to be desired compared to WordPress (though that was to be expected) -A little pricey

Commentaires : It was average. The app is great. Its the customer support that needs improving.

Avantages :

Easy to use, very user friendly. Quick check especially when tracking orders.

Inconvénients :

The chat system. There's no summary of the emails that were sent daily, weekly and monthly.

The Process to start a new website using Shopify is very easy. It is also very simple for new users with no developing skills to start with Shopify. Integration with most apps is very convenient and can be easily handled.

Some of the features need some time to understand and need good knowledge about a particular feature.

Good Before Politics Got Involved

Commentaires : Shopify Plus gets ONE STAR from me for customer service despite very good communication and support with everyone I've personally dealt with---sales, support, merchant development. They get one star because they openly courted outdoor and shooting sport retailers for their platform, onboarding them with repeated assurances that Shopify wanted their business and would take care of them. Many of my friends in the industry preformed costly migrations to Shopify plus because of these overtures and were eager to get going on the platform. Just a few months before Black Friday 2018, Shopify arbitrarily changed their terms of service to explicitly ban retailers offering anything to do with guns, or basically anything 'scary' like hatchets and knives. This change was not due to payment processor needs or issues of legality---all of these retailers were operating through their own gateways and were in full compliance with all applicable laws. More importantly NO WARNING OR GRACE PERIOD WAS ISSUED. Overnight these retailers were left hung out to dry after paying tends of thousands---if not hundreds of thousands of dollars---to migrate over legacy systems and retrain staff. This policy shift was arbitrary and counter to the repeated assurances provided retailers, and Shopify's longstanding stated positions. It was nothing less than a complete betrayal of these merchants who had believed in Shopify and trusted them with their bluishness. I'm am convinced other "purges" will follow.

Avantages :

Industry best user/checkout experience, industry best reliability, industry best customer support, fantastic user interface, great tools for automation, helpful merchant success managers who have experience, connections, and good advice... The plus features are worth it and we use them daily: Flow, Scripts, Launchpad etc are so valuable to the business that it is hard to imagine going without them.

Inconvénients :

Shopify plus has been suspiciously slow to improve it's software when it will disrupt an existing "shopify app" in their app store. There are many obvious and simple optimizations that they are hesitant to implement because it will cost them money and anger software developers who rely on the income. This is a weakness in their product design strategy and holds the app store back from being as good as it could be. This attitude has slowed improvements to core functionality like Discounts, Customer Communication, Upsells etc. Shopify (and plus) also needs to take a more active role in safeguarding user/customer data when it comes to what is truly needed by apps. One malicious developer can compromise tens of thousands if not millions of shopper's information and there's almost no recourse or prevention. In the same what mobile apps ask for too much information on purpose---there are a lot of suspicious "free" apps on the store which appear to be there just to harvest user data. Increasing and inappropriate "politicization" of terms of service in order to bow to the personally held political beliefs of Shopify executives---regardless of legality, payment processor terms etc.

The easiest way to build your online business

Commentaires : Overall we are pretty happy with the platform, compared to the other platforms out there it suits our needs and helps us to manage our business and strategize for growth.

Avantages :

What I like the most, is that the platform is super intuitive for different levels of e-commerce professionals and entrepreneurs looking to start a business. Shopify grows with you are your business grows too, offering more features and functionalities to suit your needs.

Inconvénients :

One thing I do believe Shopify has a big room for improvement is the way to visualize reports, specially showing a way to visualize how different collections perform and within one collection which product is selling the best and the worst. And that by default shopify stores are slower compared to online stores built from scratch, developing.

It is no doubt one of the best ecommerce platform for small and medium sized businesses

Commentaires : We have used Shopify Plus for our e-commerce store to boost the UX of the page and increase conversions, it is very easy to use and has resulted in increased loyalty by customers in just a few months of using Shopify.

Avantages :

The platform is great for the growth of businesses, it is straightforward to use with an excellent user interface. It is one of the best platforms for B2B/B2C e-commerce, providing a great online shopping experience to visitors. Great to find out the past purchases by customers and use them for retargeting purposes, excellent at providing discounts and vouchers.

Inconvénients :

Templates are editable but need JSON coding knowledge, which is a challenge for designers. Customer support is slower than other e-commerce platforms, there are limitations for optimising the experiences for visitors which can be fixed in the near future.

Shopify Plus is great for those with multiple sites!

Commentaires : We have had a good overall experience with Shopify Plus Enterprice eCommerce, and we would recommend it to others, unless they could find something similar at a cheaper price.

Avantages :

We have a retail and a wholesale website, and Shopify Plus allows us to have both under the same account, pay a flat fee monthly , and still have both sites separately.

Inconvénients :

We don't love the price of the software and wish it was a little bit cheaper, but unfortunately there isn't much we can do about that.

Everything you will ever need for Ecommerce!

Commentaires : We use Shopify Many times a day and I personally have ran multiple store on shopify's highest paid plans and I have never been disappointed. Fantastic customer support and amazing 3rd party apps.

Avantages :

Everything you are looking for in an ecom platform Great clean GUI Easy to Learn System Ability to scale and handle large amounts of traffic / orders

Inconvénients :

Nothing that I can think of, this blows every other ecom service out of the water

Shopify plus made it so easy to get an online web presence started with the abilities to take orders and collect money right away.

I feel like the tier levels are a bit pricey a bit too soon. They have tailored their pricing structure towards larger "small businesses."

A gamechanger for our ecommerce

Avantages :

The amount of support and features that shopify has is off the charts. We have been a shopify plus user since we transitioned and there isn't a better ecommerce platform out there.

Inconvénients :

We wish there was a lot more options for native features without having to use apps.

User Friendly

Avantages :

I love that the website looks clean and organized. That our clients can navigate easily and orders go through quickly.

Inconvénients :

I do not like that our company cannot use Shopify payments or card readers since we sell nutritional supplements.

Best way to start for small business

Commentaires : I definitely now using Shopify Plus the website and the user function is probably the best and the most popular software out right now.

Avantages :

The new Shopify Plus makes it super easy to use and for anyone that is trying to start their own business. With just a few clicks and a solid name you can start selling your own products in no time.

Inconvénients :

It is a bit on the pricey size and profit margins do go down when starting out or even breaking even in my opinion. Definitely need a source of income to complement the loss.

Commentaires : I really like using this software and how quick it is and provides the information I need to do my job.

Avantages :

I like being able to see customers orders and tracking all in one place. This is the go to software that we use at work to view order information. We also can view lifetime spend, whether a customer has created an account with us, and their rewards history.

Inconvénients :

The most negative factor is how often it has issues, it may be due to their server but it seems to have been happening often lately.Other than that, Shopify Plus is great and I love using this tool.

Best Ecommerce Platform!

Avantages :

I love how user friendly their platform is. I'm able to do everything I need from setting up items to advertising. I love that they already provide the most common analytics to help us drive sales. They have a very reasonable monthly subscription, which is awesome!

Inconvénients :

I think the only con I would see would be that some of the free templates need a little coding to get where we need to get it, but that is easily remedied by jumping on to their community forum or reaching out to their friendly customer service!

My company upgraded to Shopify Plus for a year and didn't find the features worth the extra money

Avantages :

The Scripts Editor was the best part of Shopify Plus, especially around sales like Black Friday / Cyber Monday where you could do 'Buy One Get One' on special products

Inconvénients :

The limited special features of Shopify Plus can't be justified by the extra amount that they charge. We downgraded to the regular Shopify plan and don't miss anything.
