Zappy is a MUST HAVE!

Avantages :

We are able to connect to any rest API so easily with Zappy. I honestly can't imagine how much more work it would take to do what we are doing without it.

Inconvénients :

None, it works super well. I guess the UI could be a little easier but honestly there is nothing wrong with this tool.

Swiss army knife for ETL.

Commentaires : Part of my career has been built on this tool because I was able to finish projects substantially faster with it than done any other way.

Avantages :

- API source and target adapters stand out the most because we can now take our data in and out of cloud services where there hasn't been a vendor making a special ODBC driver to interact with their service.- Effortless point and click configuration for 80%+ of the product.

Inconvénients :

- Some features are still rough. The Excel source adapter needs further enhancement to loop through worksheets and functions absent that is present in the CSV adapter.

It's been okay overall, the software works well for what it does.

Commentaires : The main benefit I get from the product is dealing with the intricacies of connecting to a REST API that requires OAUTH2 authentication.

Avantages :

It definitely takes care of the intricacies of OAUTH2, and the fact that zappysys provides a callback url to use is very helpful.

Inconvénients :

The fact that JSON Integration package includes the JSON Source Connector, but not the REST API/OAUTH connection to go with it is highly disappointing. It feels as if they are doing that just to get customers to spend the extra dollars, that was probably the most disappointing part of my experience. I also notice the custom token prefix setting for the REST API/OAUTH connection doesn't really work.

Data distribution enabler.

Avantages :

ZappySys has enabled all of the tasks we have envisioned. My personal SSIS experience was old and minimal. ZappySys was able to assist in implementation of their tools plus train/assist with SSIS training/development.

Inconvénients :

I had some problems with the initial implementation, but that was due to my overall inexperience with SSIS and Visual Studio. ZappySys was able to assist with my roll-out.

Excellent product - has saved untold hours building custom applications

Commentaires : Data integrations and warehousing. Ability to pull data via DBA-friendly tool such as SSIS rather than .NET developer creating a new service to pull data every time we turn around.

Avantages :

JSON/API tasks and data flows, Advance Filesystem Tasks, SFTP components

Inconvénients :

Occasional problems when using new components for the first time - usually resolved with a new release of the software. Support is very communicative and helpful though.

Functionality at a cost

Avantages :

SSIS PowerPach has tons of features and connectors

Inconvénients :

Price was ultimately my least favorite part of SSIS PowerPack

Great product - frequent updates - amazing support!

Commentaires : This software helps me quickly ingest data sources that are obscure, out of the ordinary, or that require special accommodation. Saves me from having to write Python and the interaction it provides me with REST APIs is extremely powerful.

Avantages :

I feel like you can do anything with data movement when it comes to using the ZappySys SSIS Power Pack. It even does a lot of the native SSIS stuff better. The product gets regular updates and releases and the support team is amazing at helping you out. They go above and beyond to work with you on issues that come up.

Inconvénients :

Nothing I can think of. Even when I have found a bug, the ZappySys team works to release a fix in less than a week. Very good to know that they listen to their customers.

Great simplification of integration development process

Commentaires : Great choice for ETL development, solo developer will fully repay price of SSIS Power Pack in a matter of months with own time saved.

Avantages :

Support, they are really into helping to solve your problem. not just to fix own bugs. A lot of guidelines and pretty good documentation on all provided features.

Inconvénients :

A bit tricky process of upgrading to higher level of subscription.

Avantages :

Easy to use. Comprehensive set of tasks/components. But, above all, their customer service is exceptional. They go above and beyond to make sure you're happy and their products are doing what you need them to do.

Inconvénients :

I have yet to find a single shortcoming in any of the tasks/components included in the purchase. It has exceeded our expectations.

Avantages :

Plug and Play we give it some relational table sql and it turns out Jsons for Kinesis streams to Elastic Search. we also drain sql to redshift

Inconvénients :

license manager does not work - we run on EC2 on Amazon AWS and the machine ids seem to be screwed up - would like a customer portal with assigned key management

The Best SSIS package for parsing complex REST API JSON responses

Commentaires : For the needs of a Canadian Crown corporation, we have completed extensive research on leading vendors of SSIS components. One of our challenges was the task of importing data from a remote server in the Oracle cloud. Our data provider exposes the data in a couple of different JSON formats based on a customized REST API interface. Some of the JSON schemas were quite complex, including hierarchical data structures. After evaluating and testing similar products from different vendors, we have found the ZappySys package of components was the best package to address all our needs. We are impressed by the encapsulated intelligence in their components. In addition, ZappySys has the best tech support.

Avantages :

- Many useful features - Very intuitive UI - Easy to customize - Very well documented - Great tech support

Inconvénients :

No cons. For the purposes of our project, we have found that this the best SSIS package of components on the market

Critical Software

Commentaires : We are using Zappysys to replace a number of data connectors we were using for Google Analytics, Bing, web scraping tools and other outside data source API connections. Zappysys is critical to the success of our data and analytic needs.

Avantages :

Zappysys has made extracting data from our API sources fast and easy. No coding is involved and any support we have need was available with quick turnarounds. The seamless integration with SQL was critical for us and Zappysys has made that simple. It just works.

Inconvénients :

Every so often it will freeze up and need to be restarted but this is very rare.

Avantages :

It's very easy to install the solution. We had some problems with the firewall, but this where solved by our infrastructure team. Other problem, e.g. with collation, the support team from ZappySys helped pretty fast and competent to find the solution.

Inconvénients :

Until now, I haven't found any cons. But I'm still testing other features.

This is great software if you using SSIS for your ETL loads. It offers a lot of functionalities that don't come out of the box from VS

Inconvénients :

Sometimes the windows do not go full screen property causing me not being able to click all the fields in the powerpack

Helpful software and support

Avantages :

It seems to do everything I need it to do, which is to extract database tables from a JSON cloud API source and load SQL server tables. I have not had to write any script tasks. Support sticks with you until you get your questions answered.

Inconvénients :

Some of the online training resources need to be updated to reflect the current version GUI.

Another amazing experience

Commentaires : Using API calls and Google analytics have become easy with zappysys.

Avantages :

Most of the configuration set-up in the SSIS components we use are translated to simple english. For instance, you don't need to understand auth2.0 to set up Google Analytics authentication tokens through zappysys connection manager.

Inconvénients :

Documentation does not cover every nook and corner. Issues become difficult to find in google too.
