Avantages :

When I opened my practice I needed an appointment system that also worked with my merchant services. Square appointments was so easy to install and navigate.

Inconvénients :

The only problem with it is that typically our clients just want black and white, yes or no, a or b.

Commentaires : There are somethings we have to work around but we were able to make it work for our business.

Avantages :

Square schedules appointments, takes payments and keeps track of customers all in one place at no additional charge.

Inconvénients :

It took a while to figure out. Start and end time feature on the appointment would be great.When making an edit in the auto text feature, I noticed the customer gets the default message & not what I changed it too, which enables me to not be able to use that feature.

Commentaires : I’m currently searching for another appointment system that has some of the features square is lacking, there’s just many things Square should offer for the beauty industry that they don’t and for such a big company they would be such a small changes I don’t understand why they don’t initiate them.

Avantages :

Square is one of the first POS systems that I used so I’m very familiar with it. It integrates easily with many different applications and has a fair amount of necessary features.

Inconvénients :

I pay a lot of money to use square for appointments square for payroll square for POS square for marketing etc. etc. I hate that every part of Square has a different app I wish I could all just be in one and I hate how they charge for every little thing, boy they make a ton of money off me and their customer service is horrible

Appointment scheduling made easy!

Avantages :

I absolutely love this app. I can keep track of my appointments and allow my clients to make or change an appointment. It's so easy to use! Plus, the reminders are automatic so I do not have to take time to send these out manually. Huge time saver!

Inconvénients :

I really cannot think of any cons. I really enjoy this service.

Commentaires : I would highly recommend Square Appointments for a simple system that is elegant and user-friendly.

Avantages :

Square Appointments is great because it alleviates one less account you need. It handles merchant processing, product inventory, client records, appointment deposits and more.

Inconvénients :

I don't like the look/functionality of the embedded scheduling widget. It doesn't blend well with most websites and is very noticeably a square application. (Which I suppose is great/strong branding on their part)

Commentaires : If had a local business I would not shift away from Square, but since my business serves customers globally I needed a better alternative.

Avantages :

The best thing about Square Appointments that the free feature gives you most of the options, most important being to collect payments and deposit them straight into your bank account. No fuss. Easy to use and integrate.

Inconvénients :

However, Square Appointments is best for people who serve local clientele and do not serve clientele based in another time zone. In my case, I have a business where I meet up online with people located in different time zones and across the globe. The biggest disadvantage is that Square Appointments does not show booking times in their local time zone. It uses my time zone everywhere, it makes it super confusing for people who are booking. Another con, is that it will collect payments only in your currency, it won't convert or collect payments in another currency. I am based in Australia, but my customers in Canada would want to pay in Canadian Dollars and not Australian dollars, thus is a bit of hinderance for me. The last thing is that if you wish to go paid then it is pretty expensive starting at $35 per month, per location. All this when other competitors are giving the same features for much less.

Commentaires : I had a fantastic experience until they changed their subscription and removed the calendar sync function for free users

Avantages :

-Easy to use and navigate -Basic features that are essential for Massage Therapy business

Inconvénients :

Free system was great and then they removed the calendar sync function, unless you upgraded.

Commentaires : I enjoyed the use of the program. It was an issue when I didn't use square for all my clients. It wanted control of my schedule.

Avantages :

It connects to my Instagram account and website for clients to register on their own. The interface is simple to use. Very streamline.

That is connected to the square app. It need to connect to the app. All the appointments have to done inside square appointments.

Commentaires : Square appointments is great for my chiropractic practice. Online scheduling is convenient for my customers and my staff. The platform is very user friendly, and easy to set up. My customers love the option to schedule online and ability to modify their own appointments. Appointment reminders have reduced the number of missed appointments.

Square appointments is extremely user friendly for my employees and for my customers. Email and text reminders reduce missed appointments.

Inconvénients :

It would be nice to have a feature that would allow you to schedule recurring appointments on certain days of the month (ex: 1st and 3rd Fridays).

Promising but very limited

Commentaires : Limited feature set for the price compared to cheaper more feature-rich alternatives available on the market. It's year 2016, and makers of this software still haven't implemented a simple feature like service name showing in the booked time slot when staff view the calendar. Unless you're using their iPad app their web calendar interface is horrible. Worst of all, this system is so primitive that it forces customers to enter full name, phone, and email address EVERY SINGLE TIME to book an appointment. The only reason we switched to Square Appointments in the first place was to prevent no-shows by activating "Hold Card for No-Show Protection". This feature is half-baked because there's no way to save card info for future bookings. As of November 2016 no improvements have been made to mitigate that despite their tech staff promising to fix it when we first signed up with them in May 2016. I have sent them tons of usability improving ideas but only a few were addressed. We're on the verge of canceling our account with them because our clients constantly complain about what I described above, but worst of all we've noticed major decline in booking conversions from even our current clients, let alone newcomers. It holds promise, it is just not ready for prime time.

Avantages :

It has a dedicated iPad app.

Inconvénients :

Customer has to fill out his name, email, phone and credit card every single time appointment is booked. That's annoying and enough to steer even the most loyal customers away.

Tiered pricing mistake

Commentaires : I was happy until they mucked up their pricing. With no option to continue select services without now paying $30/m vs FREE it’s a real sign for me to move on. How could you not consider that multi provider salons are phasing out and many more single suite clients would like to try Square? I have been using this for nearly 5 years and I will be leaving.

Avantages :

I used to love this free service. Used with the other services it was easy and convenient for both me and my guests.

Inconvénients :

Misappropriated tier pricing has driven me away. As a single person, I do not need to Italian the multiple locations or employee services but cannot retain confirmation and reminder contacts without paying $30/m. Other providers will do this and more for free.

Square Appointments Does NOT Protect Your Time

Commentaires : Okay to get the ball rolling at my practice, but ultimately doesn't provide what they promise.

Avantages :

I appreciate that they have a free version - ideal for people with a low budget who are just starting out.

Inconvénients :

Square offers "no show protection" by requiring a card to book an appointment, yet they allow clients to delete this right after booking without notifying me. This used to be a free feature, and now they're charging for something that doesn't truly protect the user. Customer service is not as responsive or invested as other services I've used.

SQUARE APPOINTMENTS IS THE WORST!

Avantages :

NOTHING is good about this program, at the time we were excited to have square appointments since we had the POS. But it has crashed, lost valuable information and jeopardized our security by letting unauthorized users log into our business account.

Inconvénients :

The system has constantly crashed, for over a month now we have lost client information, appointments and our calendars were wiped out due to an upgrade. There are only "managers" that only take feed back, refuse to transfer you to an engineer and lose notes on the issues. They also have breached the security of our stylists and our business by interlinking their appointments application to our Point of sale. NO ONE should be able to have access to the business account. These stylists are independent contractors!

Commentaires : Overall, it's good enough for me to continue use it. I recommended Square to one of my friends who starts her own retail business as well. If it's possible , I wish Square can lower down the credit cards payment process fee.

Avantages :

I like it's easy to set up and not expensive to start with just personal (no timeworker) use. No monthly fee is my most like part . It comes with a good monthly report for your business.

Inconvénients :

There's one thing I don't like is the 2.6% processing fee on credit cards payment . For a small business , it's too much for personal use.

User friendly with many functions

Commentaires : Using Square appointments has made it easier for clients to book appointments online without the inconvenience of having to call.

Avantages :

User friendly, works well on phone as well as computer. Easily integrates with my website to make it easy for clients to schedule

Inconvénients :

For a while it was not compatible with Android, they have since created and Android app. Sometimes tough to get in touch with customer service

Commentaires : I really enjoy using my Square Appointments app. It makes my scheduling a breeze!!

Avantages :

I love how quick and easy it is to add in a new appointment. I also really love that it will send my clients appointment reminders to help me avoid no-shows.

Inconvénients :

I don’t have anything bad to say about Square Appointments. I do notice that I can’t message a client first on the “Messages” section, it only allows me to reply to a text message that they have sent me already. That would be super handy to be allowed to do.

Great app - I wish the mobile version was as seamless as the desktop version

Commentaires : This program is great, and is simple to use. For the mobile app, it would be great to be able to pull up pending appointments in a list format. Also, it would be very helpful to be able to overwrite calendar entry data in google calendar instead of using the square app.

Commentaires : It was a good experience but I needed something more flexible and more robust to grow with my business in terms of record keeping of my clients.

Avantages :

Easy to use and set up. I liked that it integrated with Square Payments. Good for reminding clients of appointments by email and text.

Inconvénients :

Increased fees for multiple locations. As a small business trying to work multiple locations to gain varied clientele it was counter productive for me to continue using it.

Commentaires : We are able to keep our studios schedule clear and organized for all clients who may want to book an appointment as well as keeping g it easy it read for the other employees so we each know when the studio is free or booked.

Avantages :

The ease of navigation and display of the interface makes booking and confirming appointments quick and painless. Being able to store client information to book to appointments also speeds up the process as well. The way the app syncs automatically with our studios home website makes organization between client and engineer schedules all the more manageable.

Inconvénients :

There's really only one con that comes to mind. I only wish I were able to clone events and drag them to other team members schedules in order to block off their time without having to create a new personal appointment for each employee to block off their time.

Appointment scheduling ease

Avantages :

I have used this scheduling software as a client (booking services through someone using Square) many times, and it's very versatile. I've easily booked hair appointments to doctor's appointments through my phone. This not only saves me the hassle of calling and waiting on hold, as well as saves businesses valuable time--when otherwise they'd be answering phones.

Inconvénients :

For clients who are using this software for scheduling for their own business, it's important to always keep your appointments up to date. Nothing could be more frustrating than booking through this program, then finding out it was an incorrect appointment slot.
