En savoir plus sur ManageEngine Endpoint Central
Il aide les administrateurs à automatiser, normaliser, sécuriser et auditer leur réseau Windows. Desktop Central est maintenant compatible avec MDM (Master Data Management).
Patch Management is great, windows integration is full.
It takes a while to get your head around how updates are applied - it is quite 'batchy. The MDM UI is sometimes a bit confusing.

The go-to for Google Workspace organizations
Commentaires : Overall, ManageEngine Endpoint Central enables me to schedule automated patching of systems, deploy software and software updates, execute scripts, remotely assist users, and manage assets -- on both Windows and macOS. This is all without needing Azure AD or on-premises Active Directory.
Avantages :
In my comparison of endpoint management products -- both in 2020 and again in 2023 -- ManageEngine Endpoint Central (Enterprise or UEM) was the only one to check all of the must-have boxes for organizations that aren't entrenched in Microsoft 365. It also does so at one of the most competitive prices.
Inconvénients :
It doesn't provide automated/audited privilege management/elevation for providing users with local administrator access on their system when needed. Instead, you must deploy a configuration change to add them to the local administrators group, or to create a second account with administrator privileges.

Comprehensive Device Management Solution with Minor Drawbacks
Commentaires : The tool helps us simplifies the management of all our devices.
Avantages :
I've been using ManageEngine Endpoint Central to manage our organization's devices, and it's been a game-changer for our IT operations. It simplifies the management of all our devices, from Windows to macOS and Linux, into one central platform, making it easy to keep everything secure and up to date.
Inconvénients :
Although generally cost-effective, some features are only accessible in higher-tier plans, which may not be ideal for smaller organizations with limited budgets. Additionally, the licensing structure can be challenging to understand.
Updated Review after 7 mo We won’t renew annual subscription
Commentaires :
Not extremely pleased with Endpoint Central Cloud UEM. For what we ultimately use in the suite we could’ve saved money and used either a different ManageEngine / ZoHo product or a different software altogether.
I’m not meaning to sound so hard on them, but I’m just not happy with what we got for the cost. We won’t be renewing the annual subscription.
Avantages :
Documentation is very helpful, customer service is generally very good and prompt at answering. There are a lot of included features in endpoint central uem edition (we used endpoint central uem cloud). Windows OS features work often. Remote access feature is good. Patch management works.
Inconvénients :
Limited features for MacOS and extremely few for Linux although some problems may be limited by the OS. Enrollment was a pain for Mac and Linux and provided few benefits. (No MdM for Linux. MDM required and included for macOS, but provided few benefits.) Advertising on the ManageEngine website and Endpoint Central website promised way more than it delivers. Especially for multi OS features. Very windows-centric.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : Jamf Pro
Pourquoi passer à ManageEngine Endpoint Central : Jamf Pro is way too expensive. Intune doesn’t play nicely with non-Microsoft windows os. Intune would have too limited functions. Jamf is a big question mark because the cost is too prohibitive.
Manage Engine Endpoint Central - like having another employee.
Commentaires : Overall, this trial has been a good experience. We have successfully installed many patches and updates across our network within just three weeks' time. However, there are many left unpatched, and more time and troubleshooting will be needed to continue working through the reasons why failures are happening. This may be due to our network restrictions, and not fully the fault of ManageEngine EPC. This is a product we wish to fully implement in our organization to improve our security and make a part of our cybersecurity initiative.
Avantages :
The ability to quickly gather data, inventory, as well as vulnerabilities and security concerns present on the network is invaluable. The remote access features are so handy and the time saved is amazing. It's like having another employee. Installation on our server was straightforward. We are still exploring all the things ManageEngine Endpoint Central can do, and we look forward to implementing it in our organization once we get approval.
Inconvénients :
Some of the patching processes are not intuitive. There is a learning curve to the entire program (which is expected), and it takes time and configuring to get some things working. While most failures point you to a solution to fix the issue, some error messages are vague, and solutions are not readily apparent. Sometimes failures to install a patch are left unexplained.

Manageengine Endpoint Central review after 15 days of testing
Commentaires : The package continues to amaze me in terms of possibilities and flexibility (cloud)
Avantages :
The well thought-out menu structure makes it easy to quickly master the package. The support tabs that you can consult everywhere ensure that you quickly find the right information or solution.
Inconvénients :
It is a bit unclear at first which licenses you need.
Very powerful tool
Commentaires : For now we are very happy with the tool and all the features it includes. We think it is very powerful.
Avantages :
All-in-one tool which allows you to fully-manage your computers, and keep them up-to-date avoiding security breaches which could be used by malicious actors. See at a glance how secure your systems are and how to make them more secure.
Inconvénients :
For some tasks the GUI could not being as much friendly as it should, and it has a little learning curve, but I think that's normal. Although the cost per computer is not very expensive, the price could be a problem in an environment with a lot of computers.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : PDQ Deploy & Inventory et GFI LanGuard

"Streamline Endpoint Management with ManageEngine Endpoint Central: Enhanced Visibility, Control, and Real-Time Monitoring"
Commentaires : ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a unified endpoint management software that streamlines endpoint management, enhancing visibility and control over running applications, ensuring all systems and applications, including third-party apps, are up-to-date and free from vulnerabilities, all while improving the user experience on a single platform. Its agent deployment architecture enables real-time management and monitoring of endpoints.
Avantages :
Automation capabilities of the application, from scheduled AD sync, inventory scan, and vulnerability scan to Automated patch testing in the Test & approve, Automated Patch Deployment, and conclusive scheduled reporting to automated tasks. Endpoint Central features a wide functionality in daily system administration and management. The integral of remote desktop connection, chat, video, audio and text exchange between admin and user has simplified Remote support. License tracking in the inventory mgt module enables the org to save expenses on underutilized software and helps scale up for the frequently used software
Inconvénients :
The Data Loss Prevention module is far-fetched, we cannot manage other mail clients other than Outlook.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central
Commentaires : Its been great so far. Customer service has been top notch.
Avantages :
Easy to use. Fast deployments of app and OS.
Inconvénients :
Wish I could image over Wi-Fi. Also apps that are added for deployment are not auto updated like apps from your software tab and they should be.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : System Center
Pourquoi choisir ManageEngine Endpoint Central : The previous product did not have all the feature we have within Endpoint central. This solutions give us management of our endpoint and mobile devices under one product.

Endpoint Central Review
Commentaires : Excellent tool. Well worth the investment.
Avantages :
Automation - Being able to set scans and then walk away and patches will be deployed. Admin Tools - Helpful when on a remote session. Configuration - Being able to setup department specific configurations that are time consuming to manually build. Well built reporting tools.
Inconvénients :
SDP integration - would be to import data from Service Desk Pro into the computer details. (Ex. assignment, department etc.) More granular control over the notification pop ups.
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : NinjaOne
Pourquoi choisir ManageEngine Endpoint Central : We had already implemented other ME products. Decided to switch and keep with the same vendor.

Seems like a good fit so far
Commentaires : Its been great so far as we are trying to find a way to keep our remote teams secure and supported without being overbearing.
Avantages :
The plethora of capabilities that are included with the cost. For the most part, it does everything well and is easy to understand.
Inconvénients :
One major ability we would like to consolidate is Remote Control/Access. This tool has it, and its a B+ level tool. It seems to struggle with slower internet connections (some remote workers have a slower speed), and its ability to show what computers are actually live/sleep/shutdown is not as good as Teamviewer (it takes 30seconds to a minute for it to update in the control center, while Teamviewer was instant).
Alternatives envisagées précédemment : NinjaOne
Pourquoi choisir ManageEngine Endpoint Central : Cost and support. Teamviewer is a great product, but their support is extremely slow to respond and very unprofessional in their assistance.
Logiciel antérieur : TeamViewer Remote
Pourquoi passer à ManageEngine Endpoint Central : NinjaOne is just a hodge podge of other products. They offer remote control, but they outsource this to Teamviewer and just integrate with their platform. They offer Antivirus, but it is outsourced to your choice (BitDefender, etc). That is not neccessarily bad, but I personally like everything under one umbrella.
Reviewing ManageEngine Endpoint Central
Avantages :

Inconvénients :
Reporting has to be more accrued and gives a clear view

Inconvénients :
Its hard to fully understand the differences between the editions

All-encompassing Endpoint Management solution
Commentaires : Overall, Endpoint Central is a go-to solution for enterprises looking to establish robust endpoint security across all their assets (servers and end-user devices) while adhering to international security frameworks such as ISO, NIST CSF, and PCI DSS. Its detailed reporting features enable admins to monitor endpoint health, patch compliance, software inventory, and more, making it easier to identify and resolve issues swiftly. When compared to other endpoint management solutions, Endpoint Central offers a competitive feature set at an attractive price point, making it a great choice for mid-sized businesses.
Avantages :
This is an all-encompassing Endpoint Management solution that I've used in both my previous and current organizations. It streamlines the management of end-user devices (laptops, desktops, and mobile devices) as well as servers (Windows, Linux, and macOS), significantly boosting team productivity. Key features include Patch Management, Software Deployment, and Remote Administration with Remote Control capabilities. The platform offers a unified dashboard, allowing you to manage everything from a single interface. Additionally, its Mobile Device Management (MDM) functionality is particularly robust, and we prefer it over Microsoft Endpoint Manager for managing mobile devices. The solution is available as either an on-premises package or a cloud-hosted option (across the globe).
Inconvénients :
Given its broad range of features and capabilities, there is a learning curve for first-time users. However, ManageEngine offers professional training and certification to help enterprises ensure their staff is well-equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills before using the platform
Comprehensive UEM Platform
Commentaires : My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been largely positive, particularly in how it simplifies the complex task of managing a diverse IT environment. It is also a popular tool, so the learning curve is very advantageous for an IT career.
Avantages :
Endpoint Central has been a game-changer for our IT management needs. Its unified endpoint management capabilities allow us to seamlessly manage a diverse array of devices across multiple operating systems from a single console. The automation features, particularly for patch management and software deployment, have significantly reduced our manual workload and improved our overall efficiency. The remote-control functionality is incredibly responsive, making troubleshooting a breeze. Endpoint Central has truly enhanced our ability to secure and manage our IT environment, and I can't recommend it highly enough!
Inconvénients :
The only downside to me is the Endpoint Central upgrade process. Rather than a simple GUI drag and drop process (and a few clicks), you will need to read a documentation to upgrade. Since the upgrades are not frequent, you tend to forget the process each time.
Good solution for all companies, even small ones.
Commentaires : Their tech support is great! Even during the evaluation phase (or using the free product). Quick response and great follow up.
Avantages :
It alllows me to see the status of my systems without having to log on to each one.
Inconvénients :
They have many products and there is overlap in what is provided. It's somewhat hard to figure out exactly which product gives what is needed without adding extra features and extra cost.
"Comprehensive Endpoint Management
Commentaires : My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been positive, with some key strengths and a few challenges. It is a robust and comprehensive tool for Unified Endpoint Management (UEM), offering a wide range of features that streamline the management of endpoints across different platform
Avantages :
Endpoint Central provides a single console for managing both Windows, macOS, Linux, and even mobile devices.Automated Patch Management,Remote Control and Troubleshooting,Reporting and Compliance. Comprehensive Endpoint Management with Powerful Automation
Commentaires : My overall experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central has been positive. It's a robust solution that offers a wide range of features for managing endpoints across an organization, such as patch management, software distribution, and remote troubleshooting. The automation capabilities significantly reduce manual tasks, saving time and effort. While the initial setup can be challenging and the interface could use some streamlining, once configured, it provides excellent control and visibility over the network. Its scalability and depth of functionality make it a valuable tool for IT administrators looking to enhance endpoint security and management.
Avantages :
What I liked most about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is its comprehensive approach to endpoint management. The tool simplifies patch management, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting, all from a centralized interface. Its user-friendly dashboard and extensive automation features make managing diverse endpoints efficient and straightforward. Additionally, the detailed reporting and compliance tracking provide great insights into the security posture of the environment.
Inconvénients :
What I liked least about ManageEngine Endpoint Central is that the initial setup can be somewhat complex, especially for larger environments with many endpoints. Navigating through some of the advanced features may require a learning curve, and the interface, while comprehensive, can sometimes feel cluttered. Additionally, the reporting features, though detailed, could benefit from more customization options to fit specific organizational needs.
Reduce the workload with the ManageEngine Endpoint Central
Commentaires : We used to use Microsoft WSUS for patch updates, but it was not user-friendly and difficult to manage. We tracked assets manually. With Endpoint Central in place, patch management for Windows and Linux is streamlined and worry-free. The asset list is detailed and easy to manage from a centralized location. Additionally, we have automated browser and desktop configurations for both Windows and Linux.
Avantages :
- Effortless patch management process for Windows and Linux, including third-party software. - Detailed asset Management showing all the Hardware and software details. - Configuration Management to automate the Endpoint related task. - The service engineer doesn't need to go to the System instead they are using a troubleshooting tool from the Endpoint Console.
Inconvénients :
Most of the options are not available for the Linux OS. We may need to write a script to automate the process, which requires much effort.
